Working Title:
sci-fi game
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Entertain, I shall achieve this by adding multiple different ways to play the game whilst also giving
the player ample opportunities to explore and have a free world to explore and find side missions
for random people or creature.
It provides many different types of information since the game has its own guides for new areas
and types of weapons and abilities. Additionally, you can find information about the games
universe and about it’s past.
It reinforces people personal values as it keeps providing different opportunities when power is in
their hands and they can feel good about either saving someone or stopping someone bad.
Genre:
Action, adventure strategy game-
Things that would be with these genres would be their specific colour scheme and how they would
play. Additionally, things you would expect to see in these genres would be mechanics needed for
them, for example in classic action games you can jump and crouch.
What sort of product is it
Content
The game is about two boys who grew up in different life styles but have both suffered a loss of a
loved one. They meet up and plot to take over the kingdom and make a safe peaceful place. Due
to the king’s madness that will take sacrifice.
The game will let you play as both characters and you can decide which way you want to follow.
Each will have multiple chooses that will affect the open world around them. This could be more
police/military patrolling or certain areas you can’t enter anymore.
Throughout the game you can unlock multiple skills, weapon upgrades and clothing’s. You can
also build relationships as your character with others that will affect if they help you or if they sell
you things for cheap or not
The parts I plan to create would be a couple of the characters for the game, one for both genders.
Additionally, I plan to create a few scenes for the game to get a basic understanding for how
everything would look inside the game. Furthermore, I would create a couple assets for the U.I of
the game so I could see how it looks and if it looks professional. Finally, I would create a case for
the game so I could understand what would be seen from the audiences perspective and what
they might expect
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Research & Planning
during the creation, I will look back at my research to create my different assets whilst also looking
at my mind maps to see what kind of extra things I’ve looked at and haven’t implemented. For
example, I would use elements of my first image I described in my research since I find it has key
points that would link very well to my story. Additionally, the way the second image has used
shadows to connote different emotions could be used in a variety of ways which could help build a
character’s relationship with the audience.
My planning that will influence my final idea would be the different guns I’ve looked at and how
they’ve been held in the image. This would influence the way I have my characters hold their gun’s
sine I want some characters to look professional with guns but some to be clueless to them. The
image in my planning helps with both of these.

Where will you use elements of your research and planning to influence and inform your final idea
(be specific to certain parts)
Audience:
The age of my audience would be between 18-25, whilst the gender of my audience would be
male. My project would appeal to this group since it would have violence in not suitable for young
generations and have content most women would find disgusting.
The overall psychographic profile for my magazine would be a mixture of belonger, achiever,
emulator, needs driven, and balanced. I chose belonger since they want to gain a game identity.
Further I then chose achiever because of their competitive side and how that would fit into the
different challenges you would find in the game. Additionally, choosing emulator for the different
opportunities I could implement some form of role-play to the game. Also, I picked needs driven,
since people playing the game would feel like they were part of a tribe. Needs driven would also
link to how the entertainment value of the game would be judged. Finally, the balanced
Psychographic would be about achieving a community and having that community working
together.
The social grades of my audience would be between C2-A since they would have the money to
buy the game and computer to run the game at its ideal settings. Additionally, to be able to
casually buy the cosmetics in the game you would need enough money that you would mind doing
it.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? Certain images will offend someone, but I’ve
tried to keep explicit imagery out which are offensive. I’ve tried my best to keep offensive material
out of my work and under the ASA code 4 of Harm and Offence I’ve made sure I haven’t
intentionally put any offensive material in the assets. Things I have added is specific colours that
would connote different things, for example red would connote war and violence, but there aren’t
any images of war.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? yes since it will have some form of gore under
the ASA code 1 compliance I must restrict the younger ages since to be truthful and honest it
wouldn’t be suitable for them. Furthermore, I would add an age rating to the game to prevent the
children buying it and prevent parents buying it for their children.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? I wouldn’t intentionally include any imagery
that would offend major groups. If anything might be seen as offensive it can be adjusted to look
slightly different to change the meaning of it.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? By making sure there aren’t any comments or
actions in my manga and game that can offend someone this being displays of violence or
profanity in the text. Additionally, making sure characters don’t do certain actions that can be seen
as offensive.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? Yes
Will your product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? The way I would be using the existing characters would only be for templates to
create my own characters. I wouldn’t be directly taking parts of the image used sine under the ASA
code 6 of privacy I would have to get permission to use the characters. And that could cost a lot of
money. But using a template and making my own character from that is allowed under the code.
