Proposal

Working Title: GraveSinger.
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
Product’s Purpose: To advertise a game of the same name by catching the eye of a casual
person.
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
Genre: A poster designed in Photoshop or another similar design program.
What sort of product is it
Content: GraveSinger’s main themes are its’ supernatural storyline, detective-based clue
hunting, hack n’ slash combat system and character-driven game progression. In order to
represent most of these themes, GraveSinger is to have a dark but vibrant art style,
contrasting against other elementsof the setting.
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
Audience: Mostly people already experienced in gaming, due to GraveSinger’s expansive
concept. Due to the mature and dark material used for the game’s plot, ages 16-30 is
expected to be appropriate, and it is to appeal to both genders due to the gender equality of
the main cast. Social status and other economic criteria aren’t really a factor when it comes
to audience demographics, the only real requirement being that you have enough money to
purchase the game.
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
Legal & Ethical Considerations: The mature themes of the game already restrict the game’s
rating to at least a Teen rating, the overarching plotlines involving quite a lot of horrible
murder. The character’s personalities and dialogue between each other also is a cause for
wariness, a commonality being that they are all somewhat abrasive a distrustful individuals.
The best way I can think of avoiding offending someone is to make sure it is rated correctly,
warning people in advance about its’ mature material, and to make sure that everything is
of an original concept so that no intellectual property rights are violated.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
