Product’s Purpose:
Entertain hopefully with brutal violence and with it being comical in the ways of using self-
deprecating jokes from the characters, wit and wordplay and dark humour. Also to an extent have
a survival horror side of the game too to keep people intrigued however this sort of game I would
like to be making my products for.

The game I would be doing this for is like Borderlands but set in darker places and the characters
themselves will be darker and maybe even more absurd and it may also have a very relevant
fantasy side to the game kind of like the Witcher but different to the story, so I was hoping to get
some products which would be entertaining to the viewer with it being action packed using some
comical quotes and maybe have a sort of progression in the designs so the order of the designs
are released as the character progression would happen in the game.

Research & Planning
Well I plan to use one or two of these characters when it comes down to the final project
and when it comes down to the colour palate I would love to use the dark colours and the
dark and mysterious design to further emphasise that my product is based around action,
horror and mystery however then to lighten the mood there may be a comical twist of some
sort.
Where will you use elements of your research and planning to influence and inform your final idea

Audience:
My primary audience’s age is to be around 16-19 years of age and my secondary age range will
be 20-25years of age. My primary audience gender will be male and the secondary female. The
primary social status of my audience will be Lower middle class and my secondary will be middle
class. My primary psychographic will be the emulator and my secondary psychographic will be
Socially Conscious type A. I also believe that if I were going to release it in some areas first it
would be the countries that all speak English and then release it to the rest of the world when it
looks as if the product had taken off in the other countries or whether it doesn’t do well and we
need to increase the market. My product will appeal to this audience because of the violence with
it being action packed and having slight hints of mystery comedy and survival and the large
underlying tone will be horror with the characters being made on and based folk legends creepy
pastas and other things associated with horror.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
I don’t believe that there will be anything offensive in it apart from maybe blood and some comical
things from the script of the game, which may or may not be very violent when it comes down to
words.
Think about any offensive material you will include?
I won’t restrict younger people from buying these products as it would reduce the amount of money
made and it would also mean that my products I aimed at them would have been made for nothing
and the products aren’t even games so there shouldn’t be an age restriction on clothes DVD cases
or Posters.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it?
I don’t believe it will offend any religions nor ethnicities however I might offend some people in
social groups if they really dislike blood and gore or dark humour.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities?
I will try to not offend people with the blood and gore however I don’t believe the idea will do well
without the dark humour or self-deprecating jokes.
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone?
I don’t believe I am using characters or logos whereas IP’s I have no idea about that and when it
comes down to names I may take some names from other things and try to join them to make a
new name however there are doubts and I should probably try to make my own.(I meant to take
ideas from other games for names)
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs?
No I don’t believe that I will be sued for copy right infringement because mine isn’t anywhere close
to another game except for three games such as borderlands Witcher and Friday 13th apart from
that it isn’t too similar to other games.
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement?
