Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

I researched three major styles of media makeup, one was glittery glamorous makeup, another was fantasy and sci-fi like mythical creature, gory makeup. How will your mood board influence your final product? • My mood board will influence my final project greatly by the way that on my website I will use similar images as in my planning, and will use minimal text. • I will use a headshot because my magazine is focussing on makeup not outfits.
- 6. Informal Proposal Current Idea Concept I’m going to create a website based on media makeup which will include video tutorials and magazine covers. Type of products you would make • Video tutorials • Magazine covers What you will need to make them I will need a camera the take pictures and videos of my makeup pieces, I will also need a well lit area to take the pictures and videos. Software I would need google chrome, word, powerpoint, premier pro and photoshop. Audience Age;16-34 year olds will use the internet more so than anyone older than 34. Gender; Females are more likely to be interested in media makeup considering the creative makeup aspect of it, although males are becoming more and more comfortable with the idea of wearing makeup. Social Status; The ABC1 Social Group are more able to afford all the expensive equipment and products that FX makeup and normal make up uses. Psychographic; Belongers are more likely to watch vlogs and tutorials daily and keep up with all the new trends of media makeup.

Choices Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this project Poster advertisement • I feel as if the posters would have been too simplistic for a final major project with not much creativity and I would have completed the project too fast. Mini magazine • Although I thought it would have been quite a good final major project I was more interested in making a website.
