Caleb Wilcox has created a mind map and mood board to develop initial plans for a final production project. The mood board influenced Caleb's ideas by providing inspiration for using bold titles, varied color schemes, and a double-page spread layout. Caleb's current concept is to create a film magazine accompanied by a movie poster and advertising game focused on a specific film genre. Photoshop and online research will provide the needed resources. The target audience is people interested in film magazines, posters, and related games. Radio productions and t-shirt design were discounted due to lack of success or experience in those areas.
6. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• From my mood board, I will be carrying over the idea off having a large and bold
title to go on the front cover of my magazine so that it stands out and you are
able to see the title of my magazine on the cover clearly and so that it stands out
more from the rest of the text/pictures on the front cover. I will also use some of
the various different colour schemes in my magazine, for example in my cover I
will use the idea of using a slightly darker colour scheme and in my double page
spread I will be using the idea off having more lighter colour schemes.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• My mood board will influence my final product because there is some material
from my mood board that I would like to include in my final production. Some of
the things om m mood board I would like use the idea from a double page
spread with the idea of having one large image to cover the double page spread
and rest of it to be based upon text over the two pages.
7. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept The concept is to for a final production, of which I have to make one final
idea and some accessory material that will add to my production. My
concept idea is to create a magazine along with the idea of a poster and
game.
Type of
products you
would make
• The products that I am planning on making are the idea of making a
film magazine along with the idea of also making a film poster,
focused one one certain genre n film, which I will also accompany with
an adv.Game also being based on that same specific film.
What you will
need to make
them
To create these product ideas I will mainly be making use of photoshop,
as it will be the bases of which I will make my ideas, I will also being
using Google to get any product images that I believe that I will need to
include in my production. Or I may take my own photos to use for my
magazine cover.
Audience My audience is going to be based around the kind of people who take
interest in reading film magazines, viewing film posters and also along
with the idea off playing adv.game designed towards that specific film.
8. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
Radio production/podcast • I discounted these ideas because I
believe in past work with my podcast
and radio production, I wasn’t
successful and confident enough to do
this as my final production, as I believe I
wouldn't’t achieve enough.
T-Shirt design • I discounted this idea because I don’t
have any experience within making T-
shirt designs , so I chose to
automatically discount this idea as I
wouldn't’t really have an idea on what
to do.
