6. mood board
These are examples of how the
background to my poster will
look like this will be achieved by
a model whilst wearing the
makeup to advertise.
I will use makeup products
on my posters these are
examples which I can use
the magic tool when
layering over my
background.
I will use these fonts to create my own
brand of makeup name which I will
photoshop onto the makeup products
which are used.
My brand logo will be in either these colours,
with maybe saturated colours which match
for the texts and slogans surrounded.
7. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected? Repeated colours/images
styles/fonts/tone/mood
• In my mood board most of them show repetition as I have a specific layout in which I
have chosen to create. The repeated colours on the images are mostly black and
white, but there is a few saturated pop of colours which I want to add which match
to the makeup products. The images style all feature a models face in which they are
promoting the product by wearing it, this will be my background and on all these
images that is the main focus when looking at the poster. All the fonts on the posters
are all very similar with fonts like ‘vogue’ used, they are also all in capitals which
makes them stand out a lot more with a bold colour, lastly the mood in these
products seem serious but confident by the facial expressions of the models this is
aesthetically pleasing.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• My mood board will influence my final product because the layout of the posters is
the exact layout in which I am willing to achieve for example the background images
which are big single images the colour schemes on my mood board also help me to
achieve similar colours which match e.g. black and white, saturated colours also.
8. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept The product I am creating is aimed at a younger female audience,15-24 who desire
beauty and makeup. I will be creating my own makeup brand which will be
different and new. This will also involve photography
Type of
products you
would make
• Poster,
• Photography portfolio
• Magazine front cover
What you will
need to make
them
For my three different products I will need a camera to gather all my photos
together for each product, I will also need the products which will feature e.g.
makeup. Photoshop will be used to put the product together or to edited any
photos. A model to feature in the photos and also different background locations.
Audience My audience is aimed at young female,15-24
9. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this
project
One of my discounted ideas was a movie
trailer which I was focusing on horror
and (specific) clowns this was mostly
going to be aimed at men who enjoy or
are fans of clowns.
• However, I didn’t choose this project
because a movie trailer which is
focused on horror is also something in
which I don’t find as interesting or can
expand well on as I can with posters,
magazine etc.
My other discounted idea was a radio
advert focused on a band little mix)
which advertises the tickets on sale for a
concert coming up, which you could also
win free tickets.
• Although I liked this idea, I didn’t
choose this because I don’t really
enjoy using premier pro as it isn’t a
strong point for me.
