Jfk Camelot Conspiracy
When America s era of Camelot suddenly came to a stop, the nation froze and the world stopped. All
the hope, ambition, and determination, in the American Camelot had disappeared along with the
leader. John Fitzgerald Kennedy lived his presidential life as the legendary King Arthur, Camelot his
presidential palace, and his actions that spoke louder than words. Kennedy s wife Jacqueline and he
represented a modern age. A president who was as charismatic as handsome, was as driven as any
president could possibly be. Jacqueline who added onto his public picture was depicted as royalty and
the face of modern era. As much as Kennedy was noted for his presidency, the start of it all happened
on May 29, 1917. Born to Joseph Kennedy Sr. and Rose Kennedy; John F ... Show more content on

He found out the CIA was trying to kill (Cuban leader Fidel) Castro, which is a fact. So the argument
is that the CIA felt that Kennedy was going to disband them. And as a result of that, they were the
ones that ordered the killing of Kennedy. Although this has yet to be proven Perry believes it cannot
be ruled out. Others believed the Soviet Union had to do with Kennedy s death. Two direct points lead
to the Soviet Union, one of which was that the US was in the Cold War and that Soviet Premier Nikita
Khrushchev was embarrassed due to the fact he had to back down and remove the nuclear missiles.
The other one is that Harvey Lee Oswald spent a portion of his time in the Soviet Union asking to
become a citizen. As Harvey stated he was a patsy, it is possible he was the scapegoat for Nikita
Khrushchev. The other conspiracy theory that has yet to be debunked and is still highly expected is
whether there was two shooters instead of one. Around the time the president was shot the motorcade
was passing a grassy knoll and many believe that on that

Alexander Hamilton Federalist
The Federalist Alexander Hamilton was born in the British West Indies. Hamilton grew into poverty
while developing his educated life. When Hamilton was a young adult, he fled to New York and
attended Kings College. He soon became an aide for General George Washington during the American
Revolutionary War. Once George Washington was selected the First President of the United States of
America, Washington had a close relationship with Hamilton and he elected Hamilton to be the
Secretary of Treasury. In 1789, America had a tremendous debt, but Hamilton quickly thought of a
financial plan. He had a vision for America and a political view of the constitution. Once Hamilton
grew into the political life he became a member of the Federalist ... Show more content on

He decided to use a tariff. A tariff was a tax on imported goods (McDougal Littell, 296) Many
Americans were outraged because they got supplies from traded goods and they would be taxed when
they should not be. In the Articles of Confederation, there is a section that provides information about
taxing the Americans. In Article 1; Section 8 it states The Congress shall have power to lay and collect
taxes, duties and excises to pay the debts... (McDougal Littell, 253). It was approved to tax the states
to pay debts. The Articles of Confederation was used to confirm that the 13 states had more power
than the government. This was confirmed because before the Revolutionary War, Britain took control
of the 13 states and the states were treated very poorly. King James was a cause of religious
persecution. Also, the colonist (Americans) did not have any rights of freedom. Hamilton had a vision
for America. He wanted a successful nation. As growing up in Britain, Britain assembled factories and
manufactures. Hamilton requested America to build factories. Hamilton did have a political view for
the constitution. Since he was a federalist he believed that the government deserved more power. He
admired to have the powers separated and have one person in charge. This can connect back to
Thomas Hobbes philosophy ...or that he cannot be content with a moderate power. (Thomas Hobbes)
Thomas Hobbes implies that no power shall be shared. The states will only have certain powers. The
states will still have rights, but not all of the rights. Hamilton stands strong in

Pros Cons
CELLULAR NETWORKS
Pro s:
Cost:
Most wireline phone companies charge more than what you d pay for most alternatives, and some are
taxed more as well. There are some locations where getting new wired phone service is prohibitively
expensive or even impossible. Long Distance and extra features like Call Waiting are normally
included with alternative phones.
More Features:
Cellular and broadband phones normally include Long Distance, Voice Mail, Caller ID, Call
Forwarding and more, usually at no additional charge. They also have Text Messaging and various
forms of data service which are unavailable with a landline.
Portability:
If you move your home more than average (or if it s on wheels), your phone and your number can ...

It does work with some broadband phone systems. Your satellite service can still work without it, but
you will most likely pay an extra charge.
Reliability:
Wired telephone services have come as close to 100% reliable as is practical. Their network has
substantial power backup, redundant circuits and years to get it right. Alternatives are improving but
their networks can vary significantly. Cell sites and other communications nodes have a limited
amount of backup power. In an extended power outage, such as after a hurricane or snowstorm, the
service may not work, leaving you with no service. Corded phones work in power failures. Cable
phones also have a lower level of reliability.
Sound Quality:
Some alternative phones don t sound the same or as good as a landline. While your alternative phone
may sound fine to you, it may be difficult for others. Also, some broadband phone services just dump
their audio into the Internet resulting in widely varying data travel times giving you significant sound
delays.
Lack of Service:
You may be in a location where there are no wireless broadband alternatives or may have poor cellular
coverage. This might be rectified by adding a cell site to your home.
Broadband Speeds:
While there are some fairly fast wireless broadband connections, it may be some time before they will
compare to wired or cable connections.
Malfunctions:
Cell sites can stop working for various reasons. Repairs often need

The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov
Anton Chekhov, like Henrik Ibsen, is considered a prominent writer on culture and society. Chekhov s
works are noteworthy, in part, because of the lives they portray. In The Cherry Orchard, he writes of a
world shackled by a caste system, and he exposes the need for reform. As the title states, the play is set
in a cherry orchard. The play revolves around an aristocratic family and other minor characters, but
the problem is the family is broke. Chekhov uses the symbolic characters memories as a way to
portray the servant , the aristocracy, merchant, and the intelligentsia classes, four of the main cast of
russian society during the early 1900s.
Madame Ranevsky declares, You people ought to go and see plays; you ought to try to see yourselves;
to see what dull life you lead, and how much too much you talk. (22) She is referring to how she went
to see a play and how it reflected her family and the minor characters. This quote is significant
because this is embodiment of what The Cherry Orchard tries to achieve. Chekhov accomplishes this,
using memory as a motif, to delve further into the symbolic characters and their representation of the
four main characters experiences, life struggles, and interactions with other classes in Russian society
in the early 1900s. The use of Firs memories lends the reader a sense of the lost generation. Servants
before the Liberation are named the lost generation because they never experienced life beyond
servitude. Firs says, I ve been

Edgar Allan Poe Symbolizing Baltimore

Natty Boh was hipster beer before the actual 20th century hipster existed. For those who are literary

will find the new ghetto filled with individuals that have been politicized into a system they will never

oppression of minorities.

This case study analyzed why BlackBerry has recently suffered a bled market share in customer
sector, which has resulted in dramatic losses of billions of dollars. The failure of its newest operating
system, BlackBerry 10, was the direct reason that forced BlackBerry to implement significant changes
in both senior management and target market. The study also elaborated on BlackBerry s attempts of
cutting costs, restructuring operations and maintaining customers. As a result, it pointed out that
BlackBerry is still capable to tap on consumer market on a much smaller scale.

analysis it conducted was based on the facts that Blackberry had experienced a significant decrease of
38.5% in revenue during the fiscal year 2014. Compared to BlackBerry s apparent weaknesses like
poor financial performance and delayed product launches, it still holds strengths in terms of enterprise
services, product design and device development. The positive outlook for smartphone and tablet
markets will provide BlackBerry a great chance and motivation to develop new devices. Meanwhile,
the cooperation with Foxconn is also a potential to drag up BlackBerry s sales. However, threats such

My Reflection Of My Experience In The Courtroom
For me, attending the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse was the first experience I ve had in a physical
court room. From the moment I arrived, I felt fairly overwhelmed with so many court rooms and cases
being heard that day. I decided to go to the fifth floor, where felony cases were being heard, and I
thought it would be fairly exciting getting to hear felony cases compared to misdemeanors. My
expectations before going were mostly based on shows such as Law and Order, in which the whole
hour is spent hearing one specific case. But in reality, the proceedings were far different from what I
expected. When I arrived in the court room, the case of People v. Larry Sanchez was being discussed.
Mr. Sanchez, was not only in handcuffs, but also wearing a correctional facilities green jumpsuit.
Those simple facts led me to expect a lot of action, but after a few minutes I noticed that it was simply
an arraignment in which the judge accepted the defendant s petition for plea bargain. I thought it was
very interesting observing the side of the defendant, since the defense attorneys were public defenders.
Seeing them have a different client every few minutes and having to know everything about their
respective cases was very impressive. Meanwhile, representing the people on the side of the
prosecution for every case were two attorneys. Neither of the attorneys seemed to do much beside
state the facts of each case against the defendants. The judge seemed to do a very good job and one

Chronic Neuropathic Pain After Spinal Cord Injury
Chronic Neuropathic Pain after Spinal Cord Injury: Spinal cord injury (SCI) affects up to 500,000
people every year around the world (Singh et al., 2014) with devastating physical, psychological and
social consequences. SCI not only damages motor systems, it also directly affects sensory systems,
causing chronic, debilitating neuropathic pain. The incidence of neuropathic pain after SCI is
extremely high, with at least half and up to 90% of SCI individuals experiencing neuropathic pain,
described as paroxysmal pain that can be continuous and may be evoked by any sensory stimulus, not
necessarily painful. Current pharmacological interventions offer minimal, transient relief to a minority
(30%) of sufferers of SCI induced neuropathic pain (Cousins, 2012). Current treatment strategies
utilize conventional drugs for chronic pain, which only address pain symptomatically and cannot
provide lasting relief or prevent relapse of symptoms, leading to drug dependency and further
reducing quality of life for SCI patients. Due to the myriad events that take place after SCI,
delineating the causes of neuropathic pain development is difficult. Neuropathic pain in general, and
more so in SCI, has an inherent degeneracy in mechanisms, which is likely why targeted
pharmacological treatment approaches often fail to provide significant relief.
Chronic neuropathic pain after SCI is a central pain syndrome, by definition arising directly due to
damage to or dysfunction of the CNS. While SCIs are

Tutankhamun Investigation
British archaeologist Howard Carter and his team (under the control of Lord Carnarvon, the
archaeologist who funded the search) were the first to discover the steps leading to the tomb of King
Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt on November 4, 1922. Carter landed in Egypt in
1891, determined to find one of the remaining ancient Egyptian tombs; Tutankhamun s. However,
there was doubt the tomb even existed. Carter stated that there were several pieces of evidence a
faience cup, a piece of gold foil, and a cache of funerary items which all bore the name of
Tutankhamun already found that convinced him that the tomb of King Tut had not yet been found.1

Carter had used the famous methodology The Grid System developed by Sir Mortimer Wheeler to

Analysis Of The Book The Fairytale
Because I closely follow Hallmark actors, writers, producers, directors, etc., I do my best to apprise
myself of the new kids in town. When I disocoverd that Ella Fairlie wrote the book upon which The
Christmas List was based, I knew I had to contact her at once for an interview. Previously, I was not
even aware of her existence, but Ella had been observing my interviews, and she agreed immediately
to answer a few questions about how she got started as a writer and the fairytale story of her first book
becoming an instant Hallmark classic. (Yes, that is my opinion, but the feedback from this film is that
this was the funniest of the Countdown to Christmas movies so far in 2016. And who couldn t love

Argumentative Essay On Who Controls Texas
Heather Loos Professor Sherry Sherifian Govt 2306 73436 30 April 2017 Who Controls Texas?
Texas might be a small government state, but it is a proud and stubbornly independent one. With the
84th legislature imposing state will on local policies, politicians of all sorts are unhappy. Regardless,
there are arguments both for and against local control, and overall, they have the public s best interests
at heart.
Texas Vox is an interest group that is all for local control. They refer to themselves as the voice of
public citizen[s] in Texas (TexasVox). They consider their advocates to be very progressive, and favor
things such as policies to lower electric bills, find new clean energy sources, as well as policies to stop
nuclear plants and their unhealthy effects. They want to work with just local control to attain their
goals. They want to ensure that the citizens have voices, even in the halls of power (TexasVox).
Representative Matt Rinaldi however, has a different approach. He believes that the state controlling
local ordinances would be considered in line with liberty. He has played a hand in things such as the
house bill 1939, which would repeal the bag bans and surcharges in effect in Dallas and Austin. He
believed they would erode consumer choice and the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

to believe that as a whole, they have the citizen s best interests at heart, rather than just worrying about

the groups like Texas Vox, that favor more local control. I guess you could say they keep the head
honchos honest, or so we could hope. I also think that the closer a group is to is a citizen (as in local vs
state), the more likely they are to be in line with what the public

The African world view in Soyinka s Death and the King s Horseman
In his play, Death and the King s Horseman, Wole Soyinka uses certain literary forms and devices to
intermix Yoruba culture and a predominantly European dramatic form to create a play easily
understood by the audience, but that allows the introduction of a foreign influence. These devices
include the use of a songlike quality in dialogue and the telling of stories, the use of personification
and metaphor to give an exotic quality to the play, and the use of certain elements to provide the
reader with a sense of the mystic traditions that are Africa. These Yoruban elements are best explained

Soyinka uses personification and metaphor to lend an exotic, poetic quality to the play. In this excerpt
from page 1159, Elesin personifies envy, symbolizing its attacking quality, uses houseposts as a
metaphor to symbolize the building of trust, and termites as a metaphor to symbolize the way in which
time eats at all things. Elesin also uses the twilight hour, or the coming of the end of the day, to
symbolize the approaching of the end of his life, and bats and rodents as symbols of things that might
tarnish the honor given him because of his duty to his king and the trust built with his king. Line 213
begins:
Elesin: The world was mine. Our joint hands
Raised houseposts of trust that withstood
The siege of envy and the termites of time.

Colonialism And The Legacy Of Colonialism In America
Everyone in America has been touched by the legacy of colonialism, from the people whose ancestors
were enslaved and used to enrich those who owned them to the immigrants that arrived for a better
future but still face the same discrimination as those before them. However, not everyone in America
knows this, and simply ignore that the hardships of most people of color stem from the institutions put
in place by colonialism. This is why I believe that it is important for people to be aware of the impacts
that colonialism has on people across the world, especially in places like Los Angeles, my hometown.
Admittedly, I never knew much about the history of the place I lived in, aside from the splendor of
Hollywood or the riots that swept the city during the 90s. However, as I read more about the history of
the people who lived here, such as the Tongva people, or the Californios, the more I realize of the
abuses that they faced at the hands of white Europeans and Americans that were trying to settle in the
region. These abuses continue to be felt today, where the research article, Reading, Writing, and
Toxics: Children s Health, Academic Performance, and Environmental Justice in Los Angeles by
Manuel Pastor Jr., James L Sadd , and Rachel Morello Frosch explain how people of color were living
in places where they were contaminated by toxic chemicals without their knowledge. This is a form of
environmental racism that needs awareness, as living in such conditions could

All Things Being Equal Essay
All Things Being Equal
Most of us have heard Martin Luther King s I Have a Dream speech, or part of it, at some point in our
lives. In 1964, one year after the speech was given, Lyndon B. Johnson signed Executive Order 11246,
which signaled the birth of affirmative action. Affirmative action refers to efforts to increase
educational and employment opportunities for minorities and women. In November, 1997, California
voters did away with affirmative action [at the state level] by passing proposition 209. They were
convinced that it was no longer needed, that it gave minorities and women special rights. Governor
Pete Wilson wrote in 1996 as part of his campaign against affirmative action:

We are struggling over crumbs because we know that the bigger part hs been received by the elites in
corporate America. (Brunk 331)
An example of this fighting over crumbs is the California proposition 209. White people felt they were
not getting jobs, scholarships, into college, because the jobs, scholarships, etc., were being given to
less qualified people of color. Some people of color were also against affirmative action because they
didn t feel like they made it on their own accord but were hired or admitted to college, etc., because of
their skin color and not because of their merits. This inferiority complex is shared by Richard
Rodriguez, an American essayist and teacher. According to the biographical sketches in Literacies,
Despite his academic success, Rodriguez left the university partly because he was uncomfortable with
advantages he felt he received because of his minority status. (Brunk 697)
To understand affirmative action we must look back in history. According to Cornel West,The
fundamental aim of affirmative action was to put a significant dent in the tightly controlled networks
of privileged white citizens who monopolized the good jobs and influential positions in American
society. (Curry 32)

What Is The Theme Of USup De Des
Un Coup de Des Analysis Extra Credit
In english, Un Coup de Des means the throw of the dice. This poem begins with heavy imagery of a
ship being tossed around in the sea. However, the meaning is something different, not quite as literal,
and the symbolism throughout the poem is what makes this possible.
The ship mentioned in the start of the poem could easily be a symbol for just a simple person being
thrown into the world with endless opportunities, yet still a big shadow or abyss of the scary unknown
is always there to accompany it. The unknown might toss you around like the raging waves of the
ocean in a storm crashing high or might make you feel comfortable in a lul between waves not
knowing what s to come. The next part of the poem, in the line, the Master, beyond former ... Show

From this portion of the poem it could be argued that it is refering to the time that God was physically
on earth, having the whole world at his feet, literally, then later he dies. However, he did not just
disappear completely because he is still all around in spirit controlling everything. Next it moves on to
speak of a man without a vessel who is empty symbolizing maybe he is empty because he does not
know God, who is a vessekl that could save him the perils of the storm. In the portion following, the
poem talks about a demon in a way that he may not be a figure as well known as God, but he could be
the one responsible for leading the empty men to the dark side as opposed to helping them overcome
it, disguising it as his childlike shade . However, the statement the veil of illusion proves that this is
nothingmore than an illusion and everything is not as it seems, and this veil will fall and reveal the
true evil. The next part of the poem shifts the mood slightly it takes on a lighter feel. It talks about

The Importance Of Water In Michigan
Living around the Great Lakes like we do in Michigan brings a lot of advantages. We have a great
amount of water, unlike much of the United States. Water has shaped Michigan to its shape over the
past thousands of years. The total area of Michigan is 96,716 miles squared. The total surface of the
Great Lakes is 94,250 miles squared. Michigan is surrounded by 4 of the 5 Great Lakes like shown in
figure 1. The Great Lakes include Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Lake Erie. Water
has shaped Michigan to the shape it is by many different ways. Erosion, transportation, deposition,
glaciers, and manmade causes.

It takes all of them to change the land to where it was thousands of years ago. It is still changing today,
and will continue to change for as long as we can imagine. The causes range from human causes to
natural causes. The beautiful state of Michigan is a prime example of how water has shaped us to what
we are now. We take for granted the beautiful Great Lakes we have. We need to conserve what we
have. We are lucky enough to have such a beautiful lake such as Lake Superior that we need to count
our blessings and remember that it could be taken away within

Persuasive Essay On Illegal Immigration
The topic of illegal immigration and how best to handle it has always been a controversial topic in the
U.S. The Trump administration is trying to address it by building a wall all the way along the border
of U.S. and Mexico. Trump has always wanted to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico because
he sais that it is needed and will stop illegal immigration into the U.S. However the U.S. Mexico
border wall that Trump is proposing will not only be ineffective but will also be a huge waste of
money and an act of ignorance to the real issues and solutions. One obvious reason for why a border
wall is a bad idea is that it will be insanely expensive for numerous reasons. Trump makes it sound
like building a border wall will be as easy as saying we are going to do it and then poof, it will be
magically done, but that is not the case. Current estimates of the U.S. Mexico border wall are that it
will cost up to $66.9 billion in taxpayer money which is easier said than done (Nazario). Not to
mention the immense cost of hiring people to patrol the wall. In the end the border wall will cost
Americans billions of dollars that they don t have and waste it on something that amounts to nothing
more than America flexing its muscles. People also seem to think that the government is allowed to
just build a wall along the border but this is not true. To begin with most of the border is not even
owned by the federal government, more than 2/3rds is owned by private individuals and Native

Static IP address is an IP address that is permanent to a specific host for a certain amount of time. This
IP address is assigned by the ISP out of a specific designated block of IP addresses and manually
entered into the computer. While primarily IP addresses are sent to the host by the DHCP now, certain
people prefer static IP.
Static IP is also used for the URL or uniform resource locator to give a website a permanent residence
on the internet. This keeps the website from bouncing around from leased IP s that a DHCP would
give. This type of network would also be good for VPN s and remote access. To quote Lifewire:
(Fisher, 2017) Because a static IP address never changes, other devices always know exactly how to
contact a device that uses one. The only issue I foresee with Static IP addresses, would be security.
With the IP being permanent the IP address could be potentially being hackable. ... Show more content

Raising capital for any startup in Nigeria is hard, and it is discouraging to invest in a business idea that
is not easy for some entrepreneurs.

Essay on The QuinceaƱera
All birthdays are special. Birthdays celebrate life and the passing of time. In a young Mexican girl life,
there is no birthday more important then her quinceaƱera. The quinceaƱera is a celebration of a girl s
journey into womanhood. The story of my fifteenth birthday is contributed for a better understanding
of how special it is to celebrate a girl s transformation into a lady, and how it differs from any other
birthday she celebrates. A quinceaƱera receives a gorgeous gift from a family member on her fifteenth

It is commonly given to the quinceaƱera in front of her main friends and family, so it would heighten
the importance of getting the gift. My father made sure that my grandparents attended, because he
knew important they are to me. My quinceaƱera is the only birthday in which my grandparents were in
attendance. They are very old and may not be able to see them for another birthday of mine. The trip is
long and tedious, which is difficult on a weakened body, so having them there at my quince was the
greatest memento. All the people who attend to the quince are not likely to attend again to another
birthday, which is why they specify this celebration into the most significant moment in a young
Mexican girl life. Most people, especially girls shop for an outstanding birthday outfit to wear. No
other wardrobe can relate to what you wear for your quinceaƱera. It is the only birthday where a
Mexican girl could actually feel like a princess. She wears a beautiful crown covered in rhinestones
that essentials her up do with a gorgeous scepter that contributes to the tiara. Her dress is what makes
her the starlight of the night. It is big and puffy as a Cinderella dress embracing her figure. There is
not another birthday that it is usual for a girl to wear what a quinceanera wears, and that is what makes
the night distinctive from any another birthday.

Excalibur
My Three Favorite Scenes
The movie Excalibur is a story about a king that is later known as the best king, but we still aren t sure
if he was a real person or just imaginary. We are taught a lot about middle english through the reading
and watching of Excalibur. One main thing that we are taught through Excalibur is the code of the
knights. The code of the knights was to serve and protect your king while respecting everyone. While
watching this movie I learned a lot about something that I look at as pointless at the beginning of the
year. Many things in this movie have made me open my eyes and see the true meaning behind
somethings. I have come on some of my favorite scenes that show the strengths of many people. The
scene that first caught ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Arthur is tricked to sleep with his step sister and she later gave birth to a son named Mordred, who is
later known as the worst villain of all times. When Mordred is born Arthur is strucken and becomes
very ill. He tells his knights that they need to find the holy grail because drinking from that is the only
thing that will heal him. Arthur knows that it s going to be a hard tasks and after a year the grail is still
nowhere to be found. Sir Gawain one of Arthur s best knights that sits at the round table, rides for
what seems like forever when coming upon Mordred. Who Gawain doesn t know is Arthur s son,
Mordred talks him into following him through the woods where there are other Knight s corpse
hanging from trees. Gawain later come to Mordred s mom and she uses spells to try and kill him.
While Gawain is hanging slowly dying he see God and is given the holy grail. This is one of my
favorite scenes because they search for a year to find something that was thought to be gone. Gawain
shows his worth as a knight and doesn t give up on finding the holy grail to save his king. Even
though the movie Excalibur was a good movie every person will look at it in different ways. This
movie has taught me a lot about how important the knights code was to the knights that fought to
protect their king. The story behind excalibur is one that is full of many different story. There are

Clifford s Views On Religion
Clifford makes an excellent point that we should take into consideration all beliefs and ethics. But his
philosophy that it is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient
evidence is a little harsh for me. On the other hand James more faith filled philosophy based on his
view of religion, recognizing facts and the truth and how the choices we make in our lives effect us
everyday are some of the more relatable ethics that we can apply in our daily lives and to give us some
guidance in a life full of so many choices. As we know many people have a stance on religion just like
WK Clifford who has a very strong view about religion, but some do not agree. William James for
examples thinks that, Clifford s principles should be not to be applied to religious beliefs because as
he points out moral questions cannot simply be settled by the facts. James argues that we have a right
to believe in some cases, when supporting evidence may be lacking. James sees the basic idea of
religion as having two parts that the best things are the eternal things, and that you will be better off in
the here and now if you believe this. An example of something we almost all believe in without
sufficient evidence, is the emotions we feel often every day. The many emotions we feel everyday
such as happiness, anger, or even sympathy are very often morally relevant to us. Emotions are not
settled by facts we just feel them and for sometimes no reason at all. Like

Examples Of Dysfunctional Relationships
Dysfunctional People in Relationships
Have you ever wondered why some people stay in a dysfunctional relationship? Dysfunctional
relationships are relationships that do not perform their appropriate function. In The Yellow Wallpaper,
The narrator is a doctor who although probably filled with good intentions, comes off seeming
domineering. The narrator and her husband move into a manor for the summer to help her with her
temporary nervous depression a slight hysterical tendency. Female patients were not to listened to by
male patients, but because back then women were not in positions of power. The two main reasons
why their relationship is dysfunctional is the way John treats the narrator and the fact that she has
postpartum depression so she is not herself.
The medical world has changed a lot since back then. For instance, there were no female doctors at
that time. In the 1800 s, much was unknown in the terms of health. The mortality rate was high and
life expectancy was low. Parents, rich or poor, had no way of combating the deadly diseases and
infections that often took their children s lives. Deadly outbreaks of cholera ( an infection in the small
intestine) to the flu were, understandably, a leading cause of death in children at the time. After all,
children s immune systems are not fully developed and are therefore weaker in the terms of fighting
off these fatal diseases. Medicine has advanced dramatically from the 1800 s to the present.Today,
although not all children are healthy if any, foods available to them, the overall diet of children has
improved. Also, with what is known
about diseases and transmission, many deadly diseases are under control. Luckily, today it is much
more common for people also have regular checkups with the doctor, from the time they are in the
womb through adulthood.
One reason why John and the narrator s relationship is dysfunctional is that John treats the narrator
like a child. The relationship between the narrator and John is not overly loving, but unlike many
people, I do not believe that John was intentionally trying to hurt her. John cares about his wife, he
just refuses to admit that his own prescribed treatment may, in fact, be the wrong treatment. John

As of 2017, the United States of America is still the only country in the world to put men on the moon

they came back from near extinction. The U.S. space program made many different types of rockets

Half the Sky Movement s Efforts to Empower Women Worldwide
Throughout history, women have been victims of oppression. Even though there have been attempts to
shed light on the issue that women face worldwide, it seems as if humanity still does not understand
its importance. Society has tried to mold everyone to believe that white heterosexual men are superior
to those who do not fit the hegemonic norm. However, there have been women and men who
dedicated their lives to fight this worldwide issue. Amongst those people are Nicholas Kristoff and
Cheryl WuDunn, who are authors of Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women
Worldwide and who are also featured in the movie documentary. Ishrad Manji defines Gendercide in
his article Changing Lives that was published in The New York Times as the daily slaughter of girls in
the developing world and it steals more lives in any given decade than all the genocides of the 20th
century. Sex trafficking, forced prostitution, maternal mortality, and gender based violence are
subjects that are especially exposed. Therefore, the Half the Sky Movement has proposed
microfinance and education as ways to overcome these problems. There are currently 2 to 3 million
prostitutes in India. During my research, it has seemed that there are only three explanations for this
high number. The first being that women work as prostitutes to bring food to the table for their
children because there is no other means of income. Second, most girls are coerced and cannot leave

Linguistic Elements In Mcluhan s Medium Is The Message
The ear favors no particular point of view. This direct quote is the first thing said in McLuhan s short
passage in his book, Medium is the message . This quote starts off the passage and it sets a good
foundation for the central idea, being that our ears hear everything, from secrets to distractions.
Mcluhan is trying to convey to readers that even with the utmost effort, we cannot block out sounds
we do not want to hear, and furthermore that we do not even have to focus to hear everything but that
the act of hearing through your ears is a constant activity happening 24/7. Mcluhan uses a variety of
linguistic elements in his passage that help concentrate the idea. A really vital linguistic element
McLuhan uses are short fragmented sentences that are dense. The strategy behind these sentences are
to deliver a blow with just a couple of words. We are enveloped by sound, is a sentence that justifies
this. Each word has been carefully placed next to one another for maximum effect on the reader s
understanding of sound and how the ear receives it. Furthermore, Mcluhan uses the word envelope ,
giving the theme that there is no escape from sound, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
McLuhan uses one main visual element, that being the big BANG! on the left side of the passage. I
believe that this visual element has a great impact on the delivery of the message because it really
breaks down what sound is in it s purest form. The bang symbol is usually used a lot in comics and is
used when one of the characters throw a hard and usually loud punch making a BANG! sound. In my
belief, the visual element is trying to display that sound is not only loud in the sense that some sounds
can be loud but that they have a loud impact in our world since they re all around us. Beyond that, he
is saying that sounds can be hard hitting such as distracting sounds that might affect your focus in
everyday

The Safety Of Autonomous Vehicles
Smart Cars
Gartner has estimated that by 2020 there will be 250 million connected cars on the worlds roads,
which has left a considerable asking questions about the safety of autonomous vehicles (Scott). An
autonomous vehicle is a mode of transportation that does not need a person driving it.
Cisco s Smart Connected Vehicles division has a hypothesis which states that autonomous cars could
eliminate as 85 percent of head on collisions. One of the greatest problems that smart cars face is
getting people to trust them. In a study conducted by Carlnsur, it found that 80 percent of people
would not purchase a self driving car if they had the option, citing their main reason of opposition as a
lack of trust in the computer to get them to their destination safely (Young).
Furthermore, because the cars will be able to communicate with each other Cisco believes that the
traffic would be lighter and therefore save drivers time spent in traffic. Henceforth, by cars spending
less time in traffic there will be less carbon released into the air and fuel costs will decrease, which
will lead to a more sustainable environment.
Smart Trains
Nearly $30 billion will be spent in the next 15 years on the IoT projects in the railway industry,
according to Cisco. This is expensive because extremely old infrastructure will need to be replaced
with cutting edge technologies. The new IoT technology will be able to allow for more productivity
and a safer ride.

Hospice Is A Good Option For Them
If a patient does not have the ability to exercise the right to die, hospice is a really good option for
them to control the pain and pass peacefully. Hospice care is specialized care designed to provide
support to a person and their loved ones during an advanced illness, it focuses on comfort and quality
of life rather than a cure. (Hospice, 2015) Hospice is really the only option for people who live in
states that do not support the right to die; it strives to give the patient the highest possible quality of
life and make them comfortable, so they can live their final days to the fullest. Hospice is offered in
the home, in long term care facilities, and hospice will do about anything to keep the patient
comfortable. They help prepare their patients and their families for the approaching death, and they
offer bereavement services to the family after the death for up to three months. Hospice is a great
resource for people who are ready to stop fighting and be comfortable, but it still does not provide the
freedom that the right to die laws can, like allowing people to make their own choices about their life.
Right to die laws are state mandated in only four states: Oregon, California, Washington, and Vermont.
State mandated means that if a person meets the requirements to exercise their right to die, and he can
find a physician that will write their prescription, he is free to do as he pleases. In Montana, right to
die is mandated by court ruling, which means you must go to

  • 2. Jfk Camelot Conspiracy When America s era of Camelot suddenly came to a stop, the nation froze and the world stopped. All the hope, ambition, and determination, in the American Camelot had disappeared along with the leader. John Fitzgerald Kennedy lived his presidential life as the legendary King Arthur, Camelot his presidential palace, and his actions that spoke louder than words. Kennedy s wife Jacqueline and he represented a modern age. A president who was as charismatic as handsome, was as driven as any president could possibly be. Jacqueline who added onto his public picture was depicted as royalty and the face of modern era. As much as Kennedy was noted for his presidency, the start of it all happened on May 29, 1917. Born to Joseph Kennedy Sr. and Rose Kennedy; John F ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He found out the CIA was trying to kill (Cuban leader Fidel) Castro, which is a fact. So the argument is that the CIA felt that Kennedy was going to disband them. And as a result of that, they were the ones that ordered the killing of Kennedy. Although this has yet to be proven Perry believes it cannot be ruled out. Others believed the Soviet Union had to do with Kennedy s death. Two direct points lead to the Soviet Union, one of which was that the US was in the Cold War and that Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev was embarrassed due to the fact he had to back down and remove the nuclear missiles. The other one is that Harvey Lee Oswald spent a portion of his time in the Soviet Union asking to become a citizen. As Harvey stated he was a patsy, it is possible he was the scapegoat for Nikita Khrushchev. The other conspiracy theory that has yet to be debunked and is still highly expected is whether there was two shooters instead of one. Around the time the president was shot the motorcade was passing a grassy knoll and many believe that on that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Alexander Hamilton Federalist The Federalist Alexander Hamilton was born in the British West Indies. Hamilton grew into poverty while developing his educated life. When Hamilton was a young adult, he fled to New York and attended Kings College. He soon became an aide for General George Washington during the American Revolutionary War. Once George Washington was selected the First President of the United States of America, Washington had a close relationship with Hamilton and he elected Hamilton to be the Secretary of Treasury. In 1789, America had a tremendous debt, but Hamilton quickly thought of a financial plan. He had a vision for America and a political view of the constitution. Once Hamilton grew into the political life he became a member of the Federalist ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He decided to use a tariff. A tariff was a tax on imported goods (McDougal Littell, 296) Many Americans were outraged because they got supplies from traded goods and they would be taxed when they should not be. In the Articles of Confederation, there is a section that provides information about taxing the Americans. In Article 1; Section 8 it states The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes, duties and excises to pay the debts... (McDougal Littell, 253). It was approved to tax the states to pay debts. The Articles of Confederation was used to confirm that the 13 states had more power than the government. This was confirmed because before the Revolutionary War, Britain took control of the 13 states and the states were treated very poorly. King James was a cause of religious persecution. Also, the colonist (Americans) did not have any rights of freedom. Hamilton had a vision for America. He wanted a successful nation. As growing up in Britain, Britain assembled factories and manufactures. Hamilton requested America to build factories. Hamilton did have a political view for the constitution. Since he was a federalist he believed that the government deserved more power. He admired to have the powers separated and have one person in charge. This can connect back to Thomas Hobbes philosophy ...or that he cannot be content with a moderate power. (Thomas Hobbes) Thomas Hobbes implies that no power shall be shared. The states will only have certain powers. The states will still have rights, but not all of the rights. Hamilton stands strong in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It does work with some broadband phone systems. Your satellite service can still work without it, but you will most likely pay an extra charge. Reliability: Wired telephone services have come as close to 100% reliable as is practical. Their network has substantial power backup, redundant circuits and years to get it right. Alternatives are improving but their networks can vary significantly. Cell sites and other communications nodes have a limited amount of backup power. In an extended power outage, such as after a hurricane or snowstorm, the service may not work, leaving you with no service. Corded phones work in power failures. Cable phones also have a lower level of reliability. Sound Quality: Some alternative phones don t sound the same or as good as a landline. While your alternative phone may sound fine to you, it may be difficult for others. Also, some broadband phone services just dump their audio into the Internet resulting in widely varying data travel times giving you significant sound delays. Lack of Service: You may be in a location where there are no wireless broadband alternatives or may have poor cellular coverage. This might be rectified by adding a cell site to your home. Broadband Speeds: While there are some fairly fast wireless broadband connections, it may be some time before they will compare to wired or cable connections. • 6. The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov Anton Chekhov, like Henrik Ibsen, is considered a prominent writer on culture and society. Chekhov s works are noteworthy, in part, because of the lives they portray. In The Cherry Orchard, he writes of a world shackled by a caste system, and he exposes the need for reform. As the title states, the play is set in a cherry orchard. The play revolves around an aristocratic family and other minor characters, but the problem is the family is broke. Chekhov uses the symbolic characters memories as a way to portray the servant , the aristocracy, merchant, and the intelligentsia classes, four of the main cast of russian society during the early 1900s. Madame Ranevsky declares, You people ought to go and see plays; you ought to try to see yourselves; to see what dull life you lead, and how much too much you talk. (22) She is referring to how she went to see a play and how it reflected her family and the minor characters. This quote is significant because this is embodiment of what The Cherry Orchard tries to achieve. Chekhov accomplishes this, using memory as a motif, to delve further into the symbolic characters and their representation of the four main characters experiences, life struggles, and interactions with other classes in Russian society in the early 1900s. The use of Firs memories lends the reader a sense of the lost generation. Servants before the Liberation are named the lost generation because they never experienced life beyond servitude. You will find the new ghetto filled with individuals that have been politicized into a system they will never be able to get out of. The local policies makers, and government officials play a key part in this oppression of minorities. This case study analyzed why BlackBerry has recently suffered a bled market share in customer sector, which has resulted in dramatic losses of billions of dollars. The failure of its newest operating system, BlackBerry 10, was the direct reason that forced BlackBerry to implement significant changes in both senior management and target market. • 9. My Reflection Of My Experience In The Courtroom For me, attending the Lindsey Flanigan Courthouse was the first experience I ve had in a physical court room. From the moment I arrived, I felt fairly overwhelmed with so many court rooms and cases being heard that day. I decided to go to the fifth floor, where felony cases were being heard, and I thought it would be fairly exciting getting to hear felony cases compared to misdemeanors. My expectations before going were mostly based on shows such as Law and Order, in which the whole hour is spent hearing one specific case. But in reality, the proceedings were far different from what I expected. When I arrived in the court room, the case of People v. Larry Sanchez was being discussed. Mr. Sanchez, was not only in handcuffs, but also wearing a correctional facilities green jumpsuit. Those simple facts led me to expect a lot of action, but after a few minutes I noticed that it was simply an arraignment in which the judge accepted the defendant s petition for plea bargain. I thought it was very interesting observing the side of the defendant, since the defense attorneys were public defenders. Seeing them have a different client every few minutes and having to know everything about their respective cases was very impressive. Meanwhile, representing the people on the side of the prosecution for every case were two attorneys. Neither of the attorneys seemed to do much beside state the facts of each case against the defendants. The judge seemed to do a very good job and one quote ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. Chronic Neuropathic Pain After Spinal Cord Injury Chronic Neuropathic Pain after Spinal Cord Injury: Spinal cord injury (SCI) affects up to 500,000 people every year around the world (Singh et al., 2014) with devastating physical, psychological and social consequences. SCI not only damages motor systems, it also directly affects sensory systems, causing chronic, debilitating neuropathic pain. The incidence of neuropathic pain after SCI is extremely high, with at least half and up to 90% of SCI individuals experiencing neuropathic pain, described as paroxysmal pain that can be continuous and may be evoked by any sensory stimulus, not necessarily painful. Current pharmacological interventions offer minimal, transient relief to a minority (30%) of sufferers of SCI induced neuropathic pain (Cousins, 2012). Current treatment strategies utilize conventional drugs for chronic pain, which only address pain symptomatically and cannot provide lasting relief or prevent relapse of symptoms, leading to drug dependency and further reducing quality of life for SCI patients. Due to the myriad events that take place after SCI, delineating the causes of neuropathic pain development is difficult. Neuropathic pain in general, and more so in SCI, has an inherent degeneracy in mechanisms, which is likely why targeted pharmacological treatment approaches often fail to provide significant relief. Chronic neuropathic pain after SCI is a central pain syndrome, by definition arising directly due to damage to or dysfunction of the CNS. While SCIs are ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Tutankhamun Investigation British archaeologist Howard Carter and his team (under the control of Lord Carnarvon, the archaeologist who funded the search) were the first to discover the steps leading to the tomb of King Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt on November 4, 1922. Carter landed in Egypt in 1891, determined to find one of the remaining ancient Egyptian tombs; Tutankhamun s. However, there was doubt the tomb even existed. Carter stated that there were several pieces of evidence a faience cup, a piece of gold foil, and a cache of funerary items which all bore the name of Tutankhamun already found that convinced him that the tomb of King Tut had not yet been found.1 Because of this information, Carter believed he knew the specific area of where they might the Boy King s tomb. • 12. Analysis Of The Book The Fairytale Because I closely follow Hallmark actors, writers, producers, directors, etc., I do my best to apprise myself of the new kids in town. When I disocoverd that Ella Fairlie wrote the book upon which The Christmas List was based, I knew I had to contact her at once for an interview. Previously, I was not even aware of her existence, but Ella had been observing my interviews, and she agreed immediately to answer a few questions about how she got started as a writer and the fairytale story of her first book becoming an instant Hallmark classic. (Yes, that is my opinion, but the feedback from this film is that this was the funniest of the Countdown to Christmas movies so far in 2016. And who couldn t love Alica Witt and Gabriel Hogan?) 1 ella fairlie.jpg.jpg RH: Why did you decide to become a writer? What kind of training have you had? I didn t go in with high expectations I think you have to write for the joy of it but I ve been really fortunate so far. • 13. Argumentative Essay On Who Controls Texas Heather Loos Professor Sherry Sherifian Govt 2306 73436 30 April 2017 Who Controls Texas? Texas might be a small government state, but it is a proud and stubbornly independent one. With the 84th legislature imposing state will on local policies, politicians of all sorts are unhappy. Regardless, there are arguments both for and against local control, and overall, they have the public s best interests at heart. Texas Vox is an interest group that is all for local control. They refer to themselves as the voice of public citizen[s] in Texas (TexasVox). They consider their advocates to be very progressive, and favor things such as policies to lower electric bills, find new clean energy sources, as well as policies to stop nuclear plants and their unhealthy effects. They want to work with just local control to attain their goals. They want to ensure that the citizens have voices, even in the halls of power (TexasVox). Representative Matt Rinaldi however, has a different approach. He believes that the state controlling local ordinances would be considered in line with liberty. He has played a hand in things such as the house bill 1939, which would repeal the bag bans and surcharges in effect in Dallas and Austin. He believed they would erode consumer choice and the ... The African world view in Soyinka s Death and the King s Horseman In his play, Death and the King s Horseman, Wole Soyinka uses certain literary forms and devices to intermix Yoruba culture and a predominantly European dramatic form to create a play easily understood by the audience, but that allows the introduction of a foreign influence. These devices include the use of a songlike quality in dialogue and the telling of stories, the use of personification and metaphor to give an exotic quality to the play, and the use of certain elements to provide the reader with a sense of the mystic traditions that are Africa. Colonialism And The Legacy Of Colonialism In America Everyone in America has been touched by the legacy of colonialism, from the people whose ancestors were enslaved and used to enrich those who owned them to the immigrants that arrived for a better future but still face the same discrimination as those before them. However, not everyone in America knows this, and simply ignore that the hardships of most people of color stem from the institutions put in place by colonialism. This is why I believe that it is important for people to be aware of the impacts that colonialism has on people across the world, especially in places like Los Angeles, my hometown. Admittedly, I never knew much about the history of the place I lived in, aside from the splendor of Hollywood or the riots that swept the city during the 90s. However, as I read more about the history of the people who lived here, such as the Tongva people, or the Californios, the more I realize of the abuses that they faced at the hands of white Europeans and Americans that were trying to settle in the region. These abuses continue to be felt today, where the research article, Reading, Writing, and Toxics: Children s Health, Academic Performance, and Environmental Justice in Los Angeles by Manuel Pastor Jr., James L Sadd , and Rachel Morello Frosch explain how people of color were living in places where they were contaminated by toxic chemicals without their knowledge. Affirmative action refers to efforts to increase educational and employment opportunities for minorities and women. In November, 1997, California voters did away with affirmative action [at the state level] by passing proposition 209. This poem begins with heavy imagery of a ship being tossed around in the sea. However, the meaning is something different, not quite as literal, and the symbolism throughout the poem is what makes this possible. The ship mentioned in the start of the poem could easily be a symbol for just a simple person being thrown into the world with endless opportunities, yet still a big shadow or abyss of the scary unknown is always there to accompany it. Persuasive Essay On Illegal Immigration The topic of illegal immigration and how best to handle it has always been a controversial topic in the U.S. The Trump administration is trying to address it by building a wall all the way along the border of U.S. and Mexico. Trump has always wanted to build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico because he sais that it is needed and will stop illegal immigration into the U.S. However the U.S. Mexico border wall that Trump is proposing will not only be ineffective but will also be a huge waste of money and an act of ignorance to the real issues and solutions. One obvious reason for why a border wall is a bad idea is that it will be insanely expensive for numerous reasons. Trump makes it sound like building a border wall will be as easy as saying we are going to do it and then poof, it will be magically done, but that is not the case. Current estimates of the U.S. Mexico border wall are that it will cost up to $66.9 billion in taxpayer money which is easier said than done (Nazario). Not to mention the immense cost of hiring people to patrol the wall. In the end the border wall will cost Americans billions of dollars that they don t have and waste it on something that amounts to nothing more than America flexing its muscles. While primarily IP addresses are sent to the host by the DHCP now, certain people prefer static IP. Static IP is also used for the URL or uniform resource locator to give a website a permanent residence on the internet. This keeps the website from bouncing around from leased IP s that a DHCP would give. This type of network would also be good for VPN s and remote access. To quote Lifewire: (Fisher, 2017) Because a static IP address never changes, other devices always know exactly how to contact a device that uses one. But his philosophy that it is wrong always, everywhere, and for anyone, to believe anything upon insufficient evidence is a little harsh for me. On the other hand James more faith filled philosophy based on his view of religion, recognizing facts and the truth and how the choices we make in our lives effect us everyday are some of the more relatable ethics that we can apply in our daily lives and to give us some guidance in a life full of so many choices. As we know many people have a stance on religion just like WK Clifford who has a very strong view about religion, but some do not agree. William James for examples thinks that, Clifford s principles should be not to be applied to religious beliefs because as he points out moral questions cannot simply be settled by the facts. James argues that we have a right to believe in some cases, when supporting evidence may be lacking. James sees the basic idea of religion as having two parts that the best things are the eternal things, and that you will be better off in the here and now if you believe this. An example of something we almost all believe in without sufficient evidence, is the emotions we feel often every day. • 33. Examples Of Dysfunctional Relationships Dysfunctional People in Relationships Have you ever wondered why some people stay in a dysfunctional relationship? Dysfunctional relationships are relationships that do not perform their appropriate function. In The Yellow Wallpaper, The narrator is a doctor who although probably filled with good intentions, comes off seeming domineering. The narrator and her husband move into a manor for the summer to help her with her temporary nervous depression a slight hysterical tendency. Female patients were not to listened to by male patients, but because back then women were not in positions of power. The two main reasons why their relationship is dysfunctional is the way John treats the narrator and the fact that she has postpartum depression so she is not herself. The medical world has changed a lot since back then. For instance, there were no female doctors at that time. In the 1800 s, much was unknown in the terms of health. The mortality rate was high and life expectancy was low. Parents, rich or poor, had no way of combating the deadly diseases and infections that often took their children s lives. Deadly outbreaks of cholera ( an infection in the small intestine) to the flu were, understandably, a leading cause of death in children at the time. After all, children s immune systems are not fully developed and are therefore weaker in the terms of fighting off these fatal diseases. Medicine has advanced dramatically from the 1800 s to the present.Today, although not all children are healthy if any, foods available to them, the overall diet of children has improved. Also, with what is known about diseases and transmission, many deadly diseases are under control. Luckily, today it is much more common for people also have regular checkups with the doctor, from the time they are in the womb through adulthood. One reason why John and the narrator s relationship is dysfunctional is that John treats the narrator like a child. Amongst those people are Nicholas Kristoff and Cheryl WuDunn, who are authors of Half the Sky: Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide and who are also featured in the movie documentary. Ishrad Manji defines Gendercide in his article Changing Lives that was published in The New York Times as the daily slaughter of girls in the developing world and it steals more lives in any given decade than all the genocides of the 20th century. Sex trafficking, forced prostitution, maternal mortality, and gender based violence are subjects that are especially exposed. Therefore, the Half the Sky Movement has proposed microfinance and education as ways to overcome these problems. There are currently 2 to 3 million prostitutes in India. During my research, it has seemed that there are only three explanations for this high number. The first being that women work as prostitutes to bring food to the table for their children because there is no other means of income. Second, most girls are coerced and cannot leave without being punished ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Linguistic Elements In Mcluhan s Medium Is The Message The ear favors no particular point of view. This direct quote is the first thing said in McLuhan s short passage in his book, Medium is the message . This quote starts off the passage and it sets a good foundation for the central idea, being that our ears hear everything, from secrets to distractions. Mcluhan is trying to convey to readers that even with the utmost effort, we cannot block out sounds we do not want to hear, and furthermore that we do not even have to focus to hear everything but that the act of hearing through your ears is a constant activity happening 24/7. Mcluhan uses a variety of linguistic elements in his passage that help concentrate the idea. A really vital linguistic element McLuhan uses are short fragmented sentences that are dense. The strategy behind these sentences are to deliver a blow with just a couple of words. We are enveloped by sound, is a sentence that justifies this. Each word has been carefully placed next to one another for maximum effect on the reader s understanding of sound and how the ear receives it. Furthermore, Mcluhan uses the word envelope , giving the theme that there is no escape from sound, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... McLuhan uses one main visual element, that being the big BANG! on the left side of the passage. I believe that this visual element has a great impact on the delivery of the message because it really breaks down what sound is in it s purest form. The bang symbol is usually used a lot in comics and is used when one of the characters throw a hard and usually loud punch making a BANG! sound. In my belief, the visual element is trying to display that sound is not only loud in the sense that some sounds can be loud but that they have a loud impact in our world since they re all around us. Beyond that, he is saying that sounds can be hard hitting such as distracting sounds that might affect your focus in everyday ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. The Safety Of Autonomous Vehicles Smart Cars Gartner has estimated that by 2020 there will be 250 million connected cars on the worlds roads, which has left a considerable asking questions about the safety of autonomous vehicles (Scott). An autonomous vehicle is a mode of transportation that does not need a person driving it. Cisco s Smart Connected Vehicles division has a hypothesis which states that autonomous cars could eliminate as 85 percent of head on collisions. One of the greatest problems that smart cars face is getting people to trust them. In a study conducted by Carlnsur, it found that 80 percent of people would not purchase a self driving car if they had the option, citing their main reason of opposition as a lack of trust in the computer to get them to their destination safely (Young). Furthermore, because the cars will be able to communicate with each other Cisco believes that the traffic would be lighter and therefore save drivers time spent in traffic. Henceforth, by cars spending less time in traffic there will be less carbon released into the air and fuel costs will decrease, which will lead to a more sustainable environment. Smart Trains Nearly $30 billion will be spent in the next 15 years on the IoT projects in the railway industry, according to Cisco. This is expensive because extremely old infrastructure will need to be replaced with cutting edge technologies. The new IoT technology will be able to allow for more productivity and a safer ride. With train installed with IoT ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Hospice Is A Good Option For Them If a patient does not have the ability to exercise the right to die, hospice is a really good option for them to control the pain and pass peacefully. Hospice care is specialized care designed to provide support to a person and their loved ones during an advanced illness, it focuses on comfort and quality of life rather than a cure. (Hospice, 2015) Hospice is really the only option for people who live in states that do not support the right to die; it strives to give the patient the highest possible quality of life and make them comfortable, so they can live their final days to the fullest. Hospice is offered in the home, in long term care facilities, and hospice will do about anything to keep the patient comfortable. They help prepare their patients and their families for the approaching death, and they offer bereavement services to the family after the death for up to three months. Hospice is a great resource for people who are ready to stop fighting and be comfortable, but it still does not provide the freedom that the right to die laws can, like allowing people to make their own choices about their life. Right to die laws are state mandated in only four states: Oregon, California, Washington, and Vermont. State mandated means that if a person meets the requirements to exercise their right to die, and he can find a physician that will write their prescription, he is free to do as he pleases. In Montana, right to die is mandated by court ruling, which means you must go to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
