• Definition
– Data from a research that you can put into percentages, fractions and numbers
• Advantages
– Easy to make sense of what everyone's opinions are because you can put it into
something more simple like a number rather than reading 100 paragraphs
– You can get a sense of a general opinion from everybody easier
– More open question
– Answer will be direct
– The answer will be one of the ones you’re looking for
• Disadvantages
– The opinions might not be as simple as a yes or no question
– Can be seen as simplifying people into numbers

• Definition
– More in-depth research finding out more detailed opinions as a full
text or discussion
• Advantages
– It helps you understand their opinions better than simple numbers
– Treats people better than numbers and statistics
– The answers are in more detail
• Disadvantages
– It can take a long time to sift through every bit of text someone writes
– Answer isnt direct
– The answer might not fit what you were looking for

• Advantages
– You can make your product suitable for where it is sold

– Working out what will be required to produce the media
• Advantages
– You can figure out the cost to make the product and the selling

afford it
