interviews, surveys/questionnaires and Vox Pops
SECONDARY RESEARCH

results that have been collected in the past
• Advantages - The research has already been
done which means all you have to do is read it
and apply it to whatever it is you need it for
• Disadvantages – The results may not be easy to
find and also you have to rely on how well others
have researched
• Example – Internet research and Library research
QUANTITATIVE RESEARCH
• Definition - Research that can be quantified
and then be put into percentages, numbers
and fractions.
• Advantages – An advantage of quantitive

which flops due to it not catering to a customers
needs
• Example – An example of a form of market research
is interviewing past and present customers
PRODUCTION RESEARCH

product and it also helps businesses understand what it is

allows you to gain all the information about the
production of a product and also allows you to see what
the customer wants in the product itself
• Disadvantages – A disadvantage of product research is
that sometimes the results may be unreliable which could
mean the results may not be right
• Example – An example of this might be a survey sent to
customers or interviews with the customers.
