I like the way this person very professionally merged two different faces to form a new one, which at first
glance looks normal, but when you look closer and properly you realise that something is not right. This
will influence my product with its style of editing.
The original images appear to be taken in a studio and appear to be more or less unedited, besides being
greyscaled.
Due to the lack of colour, you are not distracted by it, and it draws attention to the detail. That along with
the framing of the images, and being close up, it forces you to look at the features. It also uses direct eye
line and the rule of thirds, where the audiences eye will naturally look.
Both images were taken with the subject looking directly at the camera with a blank expression, possibly
to make the editing process easier.
This will influence me with the framing, using close ups.

I like the way John Poppleton first paints onto the backs of people using UV
paint, then photographing them under UV light. I love the way the images
look, it doesn’t look real, which is what appeals to me most. I will try to use
this as inspiration for my work, using Photoshop rather than actually painting
on someone.
These photos are taken in a black box studio, under a UV light, this is effective
as the images seem to glow on the screen due to the UV paint. The
silhouettes creating a shadow effect will heavily influence me within my
product and photography, as I find the use of shadows and contrast highly
effective when done properly.
This will also influence me with its vibrant contrast between colours.
4. Existing Product
I like the way this person successfully, and professionally merged two completely different, and unrelated
subjects to create an effective and interesting picture. This will influence my product with its style of
editing.
Here, are two normal photos taken from a picnic , the angles show nothing special in the photos, and there
seems to be no edits, or effects added before post-production. Post-production however, there has been a
lot of change, the photographer here has removed the heads of their models and later replaced them with
animal heads. The photographer did not seem to have the intention on making these images look
unedited, instead they wanted the audience to feel inhumane and unnatural. The photographer effectively
uses mise en scene with the prop placements within the images, and the costumes their models are
wearing to inform the audience that these two images were taken at the same time.
5. Existing Product
I like this style of editing, where it is made physically then scanned in to create a digital version.
This idea, and editing style both physically and digitally will influence my product.
The photographer here took took images of roses, where the colour effect was either added later in Photoshop or added
physically with chemicals added to the flower to create the rainbow effect.
The location of where the images were taken is unknown as the images are very close up, and only shows the flower.
These images were edited post-production, with the greyscaled images. Here the Photographer printed out two of the
same images for each. One of the images was ripped up and stuck onto the other, then scanned into the computer to
create a digital copy.
The addition, or lack of colour it draws the attention of the audience to the part that has been added original. This style
of editing is very effective when comparing two very similar, but also very different images.

Photographer Carlos Barria holds a print of a photograph he took in
2005 right after Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans. Here, he
matches the print up at the same location 10 years later. http://amorq.com/article/2156/the-55-best-reuters-photos-of-the-year
I like this style of photography where you
combine new, and old into one photo.
I like the idea of having a photo taken in one
spot, and then going back another time, using
a printed (or digital) version in the photo,
aligning them to their original place
This style of photography will influence, and
be included in my final product.
This image seems to tell a story,The location of this image is in what looks like a war
graveyard, but is actually one from hurricane Katrina in New
Orleans, 2005. The photographer uses mise en scene
effectively by having objects that were in the original image,
in the new one, including the original Image. The only prop
in the photo, is the original printed photo from 10 years
previous. The photographers intention was the make the
audience feel, to attempt to give them an understanding.
Most of, if not all of the photographers target audience will
remember Hurricane Katrina and the devastating effect it
had. The photographer lined up the two images, making
them appear as one, and to make them blend into one,
there appears to be no editing done to either images.

Old New York crime scene photos super imposed on present day locations
http://www.neatorama.com/neatopicto/2014/04/29/Old-New-York-Crime-Scene-Photos-
Superimposed-On-Present-Day-Locations/
I like the idea of super imposing images, where you overlay something
onto another, so that both are evident.
In these 3 images, I like how the old (crime scenes) are void of colour, yet
the original setting in the present day is full of colour; it clearly shows
what is going on, and the meaning within the images.
The location for all of these images are different places around new York,
the photographer took images of these places using inspiration from old
crime scene photos. The background images do not appear to be edited
in any way, however the images that have been superimposed have been
changed to black and white. These images have also been edited to
merge them together. This was most likely all done on Photoshop. The
angles of the newer images of the location seem to copy that of the
original greyscaled images. The lack of colour on the crime scene photos,
draws the audiences attention towards it, highlighting the difference,
making the audience feel emotion towards them people.

All these images are from around 1989, after the demolition of the Berlin Wall
(present from 1961-1989). All these images represent freedom. As of the 9th
November 1989 the German government announced that the citizens could cross
over the Berlin Wall without prosecution. Crowds of people from East Germany
climbed over the Wall, and were joined in celebration by people of West Germany.
As soon as the announcement was made, the people of Germany begin to surround
the wall in order to escape and flee; however the guards at the wall were unaware
of the recent changes and were still under the order to shoot anyone attempting to
cross the wall. The Walls official demolition did not begin until the June of 1990,
although from the announcement being aired, people began tear down the wall
anyway they could and continued to smash the wall for the following weeks to
come.
I really like these images as it represents not only the freedom, but all the suffering
and pain that was caused by the wall being there.

responses very quickly, however that was also a disadvantage as it wasn’t a very
