6. Mood Board Analysis
Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
• The colour scheme seemed to be either dark and mysterious colours, or pastel
colours
• On my mood board my images either focus on one thing or a collection of
repeated objects. There is also a lot of use with shadows within most images.
• There are a lot of neutral colours, especially in the buildings, or the colours are
bright and vibrant; using shadows to create a lot of contrast.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
• Many photos included in my mood boards, will be included in my final product
• I will take inspiration from some of the images, either using their style, the
way they are presented or the editing technique.
• I will also have images that focus on only one object, or images that focused a
lot on repetitive objects switching focus; also using shadows effectively within
the images.
7. Informal Proposal
Current Idea
Concept To create a visual portfolio to display different styles and editing techniques, I will do
this by taking and then editing the images both digitally and physically; scanning the
physical ones onto the computer. Presenting them in both a physical folder, and an
online website allowing me to reach a larger audience.
Type of
products you
would make
Online, and physical portfolio with different types of photography; varying in editing
style and focuses.
I may print out my better images as another way to present and show my work.
What you will
need to make
them
Photoshop, Camera, Photo Studio, Props and Models, Printer/scanner, Online
Website and Folder (to present my work, both digitally and physically)
Audience 15-30 is my main age range and target audience, but people of other ages may also
like it, as it is photography, and people can take what they want from it. My product
isn’t targeted at any gender due to its diversity and lack of gender stereotypes
therefore the subject focus will not misrepresent either gender. I will use a model
within my target audience age range to make it more relatable. My targeted
audience are within the B/C1 social grade group as middle and lower classes will be
more heavily represented in my photography. The psychographic of my audience
would be belongers.
8. Choices
Discounted ideas Reasons for not choosing this project
Music Magazine • I created a magazine for my visual project, and I did not
enjoy the writing aspect of it.
• There are many different genres of music and I was
unsure which one I wanted to do.
• A magazine is also only one product, where I would
rather create multiple.
• It might be limiting on my creative ability and I wish to
develop and explore this further.
Music Video • There will not be enough time for me to plan, produce,
and edit it to a good enough standard.
• There are many genres of music, and many songs within
each, and I would struggle to narrow it down to only one.
• I would be very difficult to film, direct, and edit without a
larger team.
• This would place a high demand on kit, and there may be
a limited availability.
