3. Colour Schemes
Black
Red
Purple
Grey
White
Brown
White, to contrast with
the darker colours
symbolised with the
horror genre, and also to
add a sense of
innocence.
Black to create tension
by using darkness to but
the audience on edge,
and to add to the horror
genre and stereotypical
dark theme of horror.
Red, to again stick with
the typical horror
aesthetic. But to also
contrast the bright red
with the dark shades,
and to highlight the
gore.
Purple is a colour of
royalty, power, and
pain.
Grey is a lifeless,
depressing colour that
shows hopelessness.
Brown is the colour of
the earth.
5. Layout 2
Story Board
Start off with an
empty room with
only a single door
at the far end. The
room is mostly
dark, but you can
see the far walls.
Only the door is
properly visible.
The same shot, but now a ballerina is visible in the shot. The
ballerina dances as the camera moves around her showing a
360° view of both her and the rest of the room. (Showing the
stairs in the far corner).
Close ups begin
to happen whilst
she dances,
starting off with
her tutu.
More close ups
happen, before
slowly zooming
out to show the
whole image
again. When the whole image is shown, you see a now tired and
dishevelled ballerina cut and bruised with ripped clothing.
