1. Spring Term 15th
-26th
Jan 2018.
Dear Parents
Activities we will be doing in Preschool:
Reading the story of ‘Whatever Next’ by Jill Murphy. In this story a little
bear goes on an imaginary adventure to the moon. We will talk about the
things he sees on his journey and use role play to re-enact the story.
Singing rhymes and encouraging all the children to participate with either
words or actions.
Singing our rhyme of the week which is ‘Heads, shoulders, knees and toes’
which will also help the children to name different parts of their bodies.
Activities to do at home with your child:
Sing our rhyme of the week and join in with your child. See how fast you can
sing the song and still keep up with the actions.
Go to the library to see if you can find a copy of ‘Whatever next’, or any
other books by Jill Murphy.
Notices:
Remember, if you bring a water bottle for your child, it must be clearly
named and contain only water. It also needs to be taken home each day.
If your child is unwell and has been given Calpol then they need to stay off
school. Calpol will mask their symptoms for a few hours but as it wears off
they quickly go downhill again, they also remain infectious to others. We are
currently being warned that we are on the brink of a flu epidemic so please,
be sensible, and keep your child off school if you think they may have flu. In
this way we can limit infection and keep everyone well. Thank you
