Manny Pacquiao History
Manny Pacquiao came back to the ring to score a consistent choice over champion Jessie Vargas to
guarantee the WBO welterweight title in Las Vegas. Previous eight–division title holder Pacquiao,
37, had reported his retirement in the wake of beating Timothy Bradley in April. The judges scored
the session 114–113, 118–109 and 118–109 for the veteran Filipino. His previous world title equal
Floyd Mayweather Jr had a ringside situate. "Not terrible," Mayweather said, offering Pacquiao a
go–ahead after the battle. Mayweather beat Pacquiao to end up the undisputed welterweight
champion in May 2015 in what was charged as "the battle of the century". "I welcomed him to be
here this evening,'' Pacquiao said. Whenever inquired as to whether the two could meet once more,
he answered: "We'll see." ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In spite of giving without end 10 years to his rival, Pacquiao battled with more power and vitality.
Pacquiao squeezed the battle from the opening chime, attempting to score a knockdown. He looked
as though he would when he got Vargas with a straight left that put him on the canvas in the second,
however Vargas got up rapidly. Vargas experienced issues managing Pacquiao's speed, yet was more
than willing to exchange punches to attempt to draw him into a fight. He prevailing in the eighth, yet

Essay on Wikipedia and Its Credibility
Wikipedia and its Credibility
Wikipedia and its Credibility
The Wikipedia is a free, online encyclopedia that lets every individual with Internet connection
write and edits its articles. Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger launched their creation in 2001 giving an
opportunity to all willing people to work together to develop a common resource of knowledge.
Many people have different believes and ideas about Wikipedia, therefore, some tend to think of it
as a credible and valid source of information, others strongly disagree. "Since all the books and
articles have been chosen for publication, each one has presumably undergone some form of
selection and review" (Spatt, 2011, "p."339–340). Unfortunately, this statement is simply not enough

Going straight to the source is the best way to check if the information in the article is reliable and
credible.
A New Tool to Check the Quality of Articles German professor Stock created a new tool that allows
checking the quality of articles posted on Wikipedia and stated,
Wiki–Watch serves as a research tool indicating lack of sources and evaluating the reliability of
every entry made, using WikiTrust's color code system to display reputation of a text according to
the reputation and number of revisions by users. Wiki–Watch analyzes every Wikipedia entry ever
created in a few seconds, checks the number of sources used in the article and the quality of editing
(para. 2). Wiki–Watch uses a color codes system to check the reputation of the article by figuring out
how many times people revised the article. White color means reliable information; therefore,
yellow color has an opposite meaning. This system also checks for the credibility of the article and
emphasizes individual words used in the article.
Many Editors to Correct the Errors Wikipedia counts 75,000 editors who check the articles and their
content to make sure that the information is valid and reliable. According to Schaffer (2009), the
journal Nature conducted a study in 2005 and proved that Wikipedia is just as valid as any other
encyclopedia, including Britannica, keeping in mind that errors and vandalism can occur to any of
them (para. 2).

Google And The World Around Us
Google and the World Around Us
Google. How could such a simple word mean so much? What is it? Google is a corporation, a search
engine, and what some people describe as being a way of life. In fact, Google is the fourth most
popular website visited in the world (Brin–Gale Biography). And in 2003 Google was at the top of
the world as one of the most powerful businesses and presently still is (Page, Gale Biography).
However, Google has done a lot more than dominating the Internet domain. Google has helped the
world in a variety of ways. The founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have affected the
world through their education and upbringing, the creation of Google, and the project Google Green.

Case Study Conducting A Risk Analysis
M3A1: Case Study Conducting a Risk Analysis
This will be a risk analysis of the hazard of moving to Oracle, or jumping ship to another software
vendor, such as companies like Lawson Software Inc., Microsoft Corp., SAP AG or SSA Global
Technologies Inc. (Jackson, 2005). The initial phase of the Risk Management life cycle is the
analysis phase, where the first proposal is completed and is allowed to move forward with the risk
assessment effort. Risk Analysis is an instrument for Risk Management and is used to identify
weaknesses and various threats, and then predicts the conceivable losses and where to install
defenses. Risk Analysis is applied to safeguard that security is cost–effective, pertinent, well–timed
and responsive to security implications (Harris, 2016). As part of this phase, the all related
documentation is brought together to define potential threats, risks, and repercussions (Harris,
2016). Also, an initial Return on Investment (ROI) argument should be made to aid management in
constructing an informed decision (Excelsior College Website, 2016). Security can be extremely
difficult and even for well–trained IT professionals can either apply too much or not enough or in
wrong areas. It is way too easy to spend lots money without accomplishing the required purposes.
Doing a risk analysis allows organizations to prioritize their risks and provide a cost benefit
comparison (Excelsior College, 2016). After the Analysis phase, the Business Impact Analysis

Essay on The Tragic Case of Larry and Brandon
The Tragic Case of Larry and Brandon The tragic case of Larry and Brandon is a compelling story.
It is a reality that stunned the city of Oxnard California when a 14–year–old boy named Brandon
McInerney fatally shot a fellow classmate, Larry King, twice in the back of the head. The incident
occurred in a computer lab where Brandon ran off after committing the crime. As a result of his
actions Brandon McInerney was tried as an adult and was sentenced to 21 years in prison with no
chance of parole. He will be released at the age of 39. Now the underlying question is was
Brandon's sentence a just resolution or should he have received more or less years in prison. The

Along with King's provocation Brandon grew up in a very distressing environment. Defense
attorney Scott Wippert says, "Brandon is a good kid that grew up in a stressful environment.
"Brandon was raised in a house full of drugs and violence. Both of his parents were addicts and both
had been incarcerated for crimes they had previously committed. Brandon's father, Billy McInerney,
would constantly shift from smoking crystal meth in one instance to beating his boys in the next. If
his kids misbehaved he would beat them and if he had a bad day he would use his kids as punching
bags. James Bing, Brandon's half brother, says that he would physically abuse us in any possible
way that you could think of. "He hit us, kicked us, slapped us, threw us around," said James Bing.
"He punched us in the face, and threw us into walls." Brandon even witnessed his mother being shot
by his father. When his mom and Billy McInerney were fighting, she ran away from him and he
demanded that she turn around when she refused he shot her in the arm. After the shooting Billy
served time in jail but when he got out the two married and rather than seeing this as a wake up call
the two continued with their old habits of drug use and abuse.
Brandon McInerney was said to be an intelligent kid but how could an intelligent kid do something
that was so foolish and careless? How can teens be so clever, accomplished, and responsible and

The Super Hero In Fearless By Eric Blehm
When the word hero comes to mind people usually think of some super hero that they read about in
a book or saw in a movie, but the literal definition of a hero is a person who is admired for their
courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. "Fearless" by Eric Blehm contains many
examples of real life heroes. Adam Brown is undoubtedly the main hero in Blehm's novel, but other
members of the Brown family also displayed many notable heroic qualities.
The main hero in "Fearless" was Adam Brown. Adam was born on February 5, 1974, in Hot
Springs, Arkansas. When he was a child, he enjoyed playing football and spending time with his
friends and family. As he grew older, Adam became friends with the wrong crowd, and he began to
make poor life choices. "Fearless" is the story of how Adam overcame his demons in life and
became an amazing father and a well–known hero.
Adam struggled with a drug addiction early in life. Drugs totally destroyed him, and his relationship
with his family. He was no longer the son that Larry and Janice Brown raised. After Adam met
Kelley, he started to make an effort to turn his life around. Adam became a totally different person.
He became someone that the world could admire and look up to.
Many soldiers die every single day, and their story never gets told. The question is what makes
Adam's story so different and worth sharing. It could have something to do with Adam's unique
personality. After he turned his life around, Adam became a

Personal Narrative Story : A Short Story
"Wah hoo," cried Madison as she soared high into the air. Wow that is really high, I thought to
myself. My stomach was queasy from watching her. Maybe It wouldn't be as bad as it seems. I'm
just getting myself worked up, I thought trying to convince myself. We were at For the kids open
gym night. My little sister, had been begging my parents to take us ever since she learned to do a
cartwheel. She wants to be a gymnast when she grows up. We signed up to do bungee jumping and
now it was our turn. Madison, my friend, was already on the trampoline doing flips. It looked fun
but scary. "Wee," cried Madison as she leaned back to do a backflip. She didn't make it up right fast
enough. I watched as she was stuck upside down, falling towards the tramp. When she hit the tramp
head first she was stuck there until the stretchy rubber cords pulled her back up. "Ugh," she
managed while upside down. "Ha ha," I laughed when I knew she was okay. Inside I was feeling
really nervous. I did not want that to happen to me. "Olivia Koster," the lady read from her sticky
note. Oh boy, I thought as I stepped onto the tramp. The lady helped me step into the harness, which
was hard while wobbling on a trampoline. Now the butterflies were alive in my stomach. She
tightened the straps and told me to hold onto the cords. She walked of the tramp and pressed a
button. I felt the cords lift. I started to jump even though I was as nervous as a worm on a hot day.
By the time she was done I was soaring

The Theme Of Loyalty And Justice In Montana 1948
Just like in the book Montana 1948, I would like to write to you about how human nature is
explained through loyalty and justice. As we have gone to school together for seven years, I would
like to show you how the faults of our human nature can be explained through what has happened in
Montana 1948. Throughout the book, the faults of human nature are seen as loyalty outweighs
justice as seen through Frank molesting Native American girls. His loyalty to his brother, Frank, and
his prejudice towards Native Americans questions the belief of justice. He has received all his power
from his parents, so it is nearly impossible for him to go against his family. However, Wes is stuck

After Wes had found Frank guilty of murder, Wes decided to lock Frank up in a bathroom in the

Wes, Julian, believes that Wes should not lock his brother, Frank, up. Trying to get Frank out of
Wes's basement, Julian sends his foreman in order to get Frank. However, they were not successful
and Frank remained locked up in the basement. Julian and Wes were now at odds with each other.
The past and the present were becoming two opposites. On one side was loyalty, and on the other
was justice. Suddenly one night, the unimaginable happened when Wes,Gail, and David heard Frank
smashing jars in the basement," That's just what he wants. No,let him get it out of his system. He'll
run out of jars eventually."p.147 In this quote, Wes is saying that Frank wants to break the jars. For
me, the jars symbolize loyalty and how the Hayden family is screwed tight to the jars, symbolizing
the closeness of the family. Wes is saying that he can break the jars, since he will eventually run out
of jars. The breaking of the jars in the middle of the night fears Gail, however it does nothing to
Wes. Wes believes that since the jars are breaking , they have to stop symbolizing how the family is
crumbling, but the crumbling in going to stop. In other words, the fear, the crumbling, will lead to

The Life of Larry Bird
Many people wish for greatness; Larry Bird worked for it until he achieved it, particularly in
basketball. Basketball has always been a fast–paced, exciting game to watch. The sport has even
been nationally televised for decades. The game has gained special popularity because of its
superstars. National Basketball Association (NBA) superstars are recognized by many as the most
recognizable pro athletes. Larry Bird was one of the most famous stars of the league, and his
popularity greatly increased the publics' interest in the league. Larry Bird's fame and basketball
success was brought about by his hard work and competitiveness.
It all began on December 7, 1956, in a rural Indiana town called West Baden; Larry Bird was born
(Borden n. pag.). His family's life in West Baden and French Lick was anything but glamorous.
However, Bird said, "I just never realized how poor we were. Nobody in French Lick was wealthy"
(Borden n. pag.). This poor community lifestyle led to his eventual interest in basketball, as he and
his brothers couldn't afford other entertainments. They instead competed against each other in any
sport they could. Larry's brothers helped him improve as a player by beating him so badly that he
wanted to "practice his skills in order to beat them" (Borden n. pag.).
As he grew up, Larry began to also excel in high school basketball. He drew a great amount of
interest from his community

Analysis Of The Soup Nazi By Larry David
The famous episode from Seinfeld, "The Soup Nazi", is loved and viewed by many. In this episode,
both George Costanza (Jay Scott Greenspan) and Jerry Seinfeld (Jerry Seinfeld) go to a restaurant
that supposedly has the "best soup in the city", according to the locals. However, everyone calls the
owner of the soup restaurant "The Soup Nazi" because of his hard, cold personality and his ability to
refuse service to anyone who annoys him. The episode comically portrays the fear which "The Soup
Nazi" induces on his customers and the willingness of his customers to come back just because his
soup is so delicious (http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/07/04/the–top–10–seinfeld–episodes?

written by Larry David, the writer of the television series, Seinfeld. Larry David is a comedian as
well as a satirist. He is in many Saturday Night Live (SNL) skits as Bernie Sanders, and was the co–
creator of the television series, Curb Your Enthusiasm. A common theme throughout his works is his
ability to take everyday problems and blow them out of proportion. Larry David practices many
techniques in his satirical pieces that explore ideas of race and gender in order to bring across a
message to society and entertainment to viewers. Among Larry David's vast amount of satirical and
comical pieces, one of the main brunt of his jokes is race. Since Larry David is of Jewish ethnicity,

Bird had a rough road to success, "when Larry Bird entered the National Basketball Association
(NBA) he was the Hick from French Lick, a country boy coming to live in the big city" ("Larry

heart of the Indiana basketball world (Katzeff). Scouts believed that he wasn't extremely fast, not
tall enough, and not a primetime jumper. Bird proved scouts and critics all over the world wrong due
to his extreme dedication to the game. He shot five–hundred free throws on a daily basis because he
knew that if he committed to becoming great, he would indeed do so. Bird spent hours upon hours
studying the finer details of the game. To become a good rebounder, he learned all he could about
how the ball would deflect off of the backboard, studying every angle possible until he mastered the
art of the rebound ("Larry Bird," 3). Larry never thought that he was skilled enough, so he would
use every off–season to work through his weaknesses and strengthen his strengths. Even though he
rapidly established himself as an NBA superstar, he always hustled for loose balls, played rugged

because of all the amazing moves he made in boxing at such a young age. But besides he's moves in
the ring, he was also a voice for the people, especially African Americans and the Nation of Islam.
Ali gave numerous people a feel that they can become and do anything besides skin color or social
status. Weilbaecher stated in the article "I don't believe in what he did, and that "I'm the greatest" is a
good example for our young people." What Weilbacher failed to realize is that for someone to
become successful, they must have the mindset of a successful person. If a person does not believe
that they are already successful or the greatest at what they do, then no one else will. Muhammad
Ali told himself and others that he was the greatest so that he can continue to meet those standards

Brokeback Mountain Analysis
Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx is a heart wrenching short story written with an intimate style
that evokes clear imagery in the mind of the reader. Although, only 28 pages in length the short story
offered Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana source material that had potential to be expanded and to
build upon the already created Midwestern reality. One of the elements altered for the screenplay
from the short story is the perspective; which follows the main character, Ennis Del Mar over the
course of twenty years. Although, not told through Ennis' eyes exactly, the reader is given access to
his emotional state; meaning his thoughts and feelings are explained more so than any other
character. For example: "He had no serious hard feelings, just a vague sense of getting
shortchanged, and showed it was all right by taking Thanksgiving dinner with Alma and her grocer
and the kids, sitting between his girls and talking horses to them, , telling jokes, trying not to be a
sad daddy." (pg. 16) The screenplay shares a similar perspective, but expands the view to include
Jack Twist, moving between the lives of both men throughout the years. However, the screenplay
stays true to the source material by paying more attention to the original main character, Ennis.
Another element that is changed from the short story to the screenplay is the expansion or flushing
out of characters. In Proulx's story, characters other than Ennis and Jack are mostly referred to, or
given glimpses of.

Rumors: Case Study
Rumors have emerged that a potential bout between top welterweights Keith "One Time" Thurman
(26–0, 22 KOs) and Shawn "Showtime" Porter (26–1–1, 16 KOs) are on the negotiating table and is
set on October 3rd under Al Haymon's Premier Boxing Champions fight card.
Boxing News 24's Dan Ambrose said that this could be the "first real test" for the man who calls
himself One Time as Porter is a former IBF welterweight champion and arguably the most skilled
and most experienced among all of his previous opponents.
Ambrose also indicated that Thurman got his WBA welterweight belt without fighting "someone
good" for it.
The 26–year–old Clearwater, Florida native knocked out Argentina's Diego Chaves in the 10th
round of their July 2013 bout to claim ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Collazo was said to be winning in the scorecards as Thurman backpedaled the whole fight, but the
referee halted the match at the beginning of the eighth round as Collazo could not see clearly due to
a bleeding cut above his eye caused by an accidental head butt.
Meanwhile, Porter is coming off a huge unanimous decision victory over Adrien "The Problem"
Broner in their June bout at the MGM Grand. Showtime dominated Broner during the entire match
with his aggressiveness and pinpoint accuracy, with the latter mimicking Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s
evasive techniques to no avail.
The 27–year–old Porter was knocked down in the opening minutes of the last round with a wayward
right, but that's about the only shining moment for The Problem.
SB Nation's Bad Left Hook indicated that Thurman–Porter would be a "good fight" as both are two
of the best up and coming boxers in the division these days. The Transnational Boxing Rankings
Board lists them as numbers 5 and 6 respectively in their official rankings.
The potential bout is said to be the main event of the October 3rd PBC fight card in a still
undisclosed venue that also included a clash between Broner and former WBA light welterweight
champ Khabib Allakhverdiev as an undercard, as per Opening

Montana 1948 Loyalty Quotes
Montana 1948 Essay
In the novel, Montana 1948, written by Larry Watson, an important event occurred at the end of the
story in which the character Wesley finally stands up to his power obsessed father, Julian. This event
allowed the readers to comprehend the ideas of loyalty versus justice, power over the oppressed and
the breakdown of family hierarchy.
In Montana 1948 the idea of loyalty versus justice was shown in the event. When Wesley and his
father Julian are disputing about Wesley's brother, Frank, and how he is locked inside the basement,
Wesley states that "This isn't about family, this is a legal matter". This implies that Wesley has
chosen Justice over loyalty. Watson's intention for making Wesley choose Justice over loyalty, was
to show how difficult it can be for a person who has a huge amount of responsibility in the field of
justice and choose either loyalty to family or justice disregarding how bad the situation is. This is
crucial in society today, because countless of people who work for the law, will always have the
hard decision of choosing loyalty to their family or choosing justice. ... Show more content on

As Wesley and Julian were arguing about what Wesley's brother Frank had done, Julian shouts "Get
your ass in gear and get your brother out here now!" This quote shows the small amount of respect
Julian has for his own son when he curses. Watson's purpose for using Julian to show the idea of
power over the oppressed is to show how cruel a person can become when they are obsessed with
power, even to their own family. This is important in today's world because there are so many
people in the world where one person rules thousands of people and treats them in a cruel

A Interview On Larry Page Essay
Larry Page Gary Vu Period 3 April 27, 2015 Larry Page Biography Larry Page was born in Lansing,
Michigan in 1973 to parents whom were both computer scientists. Both of Page's parents, Carl and
Gloria Page, taught computer programming at the University of Michigan. At the age of six, Larry
began his interactions with computers and computer parts that lay around him from his parents, and
fully immersed himself into the world of computers. Because of his parent's influence, Larry knew
at the age of 12 that he was going to be successful one day, so decided to pursue a bachelor's degree
in computer engineering from his local university, none other than the University of Michigan where
his parents taught computer engineering and artificial intelligence. After accomplishing his goal of
achieving a bachelor's degree, he set his goals even higher and pursued a master's degree in
computer science at Stanford University. Around this time, the World Wide Web and the birth of the
Internet had just been released and is still brand new, and this is the factor that helps Larry push to
become the entrepreneur he is today. After a little tinkering with the internet, he realized that people
could use a search engine, as everything on the internet was scattered everywhere, and an engine
that can search the internet according to what's relevant could really pioneer the future. He called
this mechanism, "PageRank." In order to make this work, he called for help from his classmate,

The Lonesome Dove Saga, By Larry Mcmurtry
There are so many different concerns that a lot of women have today, and just like there is today, in
the past during the time of Larry McMurtry's writing of the Lonesome Dove Saga, women had
perhaps the same, or maybe even a little different, concerns throughout this time period that you
come to find. These fully formed characters McMurtry introduces you to come to be; fun–loving,
strong–minded, and heart–filled women.
Clara Allen and Captain August "Gus" McCrae was thought to be together forever. Throughout
years and years of their lives, Clara and Gus had a connection. A type of connection that simply was
one that could not compare to any other. They were the type of people who knew what they wanted,
but knew it was no good for the both of them. As they both started to accept the fact that no matter
how much they cared for each other, it would never hold out in a permanent relationship. Gus goes
on a cattle drive from Lonesome Dove, Texas to Montana in hopes to find the one who once turned
him down, Clara and maybe have a chance to change her mind. Clara was the type of women who
could not marry Gus, for it was the fact that she thought of him as someone to wild to try and settle
down with. Clara knew what she had to do and who she had to be with. For Clara, it may have been
the fact of she loved him enough to let him go, and perhaps he felt the same way. She felt for Gus,

Montana 1948 Abusing Power
Montana 1948 by Larry Watson is a novel set during the time of post Second World War in the rural
town of Bentrock – located in Mercer County, Montana USA. There are a series of events that occur
which demonstrate how abusing power can result in catastrophic consequences which affect both
individuals and communities. Characters Frank, Julian, Wes, and the whole white community
abused their capabilities which resulted in negative outcomes. Local doctor Frank Hayden is one of
the many people in the Bentrock community to overstep his power and mistreat it. By sexually

Wes has carried out traits that past sheriff and father has enforced. This includes obvious and casual
racism and also the importance to family loyalty. What makes Julian and Wes different is that Wes
learns that justice is more important in a society than loyalty. By believing in this, his abuse of
power has had lesser consequences but they are still significant in the novel. Wes is responsible for
the Frank's arrest which later on caused severe family tension. But the important consequence is that
Wes didn't going to treat his brother the same as any other criminal that he'd pass in his job. Instead
of jailing Frank in the town jail, Wes finds his own basement as the most suitable option. In
practicality, prisoning Frank in a basement is not the best or safest option, especially for the people
who live above that basement. If Wes fully lived by his responsibilities and promise to justice, he
would have arrested Frank in the professional matter he does with anyone else under arrest. This
may be a small mistreat of power, but it's an important one that affects Wes'

influence in the form of hostile takeovers. A good example of this would be his actions towards the
forced resignation of Hewlett–Packards CEO Mark Hurd. This happened after an investigation was

Hustler Vs Falwell Case Study
I. Hustler v. Falwell II. 485 U.S. 46 (1988) III. Facts: In Hustler v. Falwell a dispute arose when
Hustler Magazine, a a magazine that circulates nationwide featured a parody of an advertisement for
Campari Liqueur. The inside front cover of the magazine presented interviews with celebrities who
described their "first time." One of the parodies belonged to Jerry Falwell, a nationally acclaimed
minister who was featured as describing his "first time" with his mother when they were both
intoxicated from drinking Campari Liqueur. While the interviews with the celebrities contained a
double sexual reference, it was evident in the end that the ads were referring to the first time the
celebrities had tried Campari Liqueur. However, after the magazine was accessible to the public,
Jerry Falwell sued Hustler Magazine and its publisher for libel, invasion of privacy, and intentional
infliction of emotional distress. At trial court the judge dismissed the invasion of privacy claim and
then sent the case to the jury where they ruled Hustler Magazine on the claim of intentional
infliction of emotional distress and awarded Jerry Falwell $150,000. The case was then taken to the
Supreme Court level on appeal by the petitioner, Jerry Falwell. IV. Issues: (1) Does the First
Amendment's freedom of speech prohibit public figures from recovering damages for intentional
infliction of emotional distress? V. Decision and Action: (1) No. Reversed. VI. Reasoning: Per

The famous historical person I decided to write my research paper on is Cassius Marcellus Clay,
also known as Muhammad Ali. Born in Louisville, Kentucky Muhammad Ali was one of the most
polarizing figures in history especially as a professional boxer. Muhammad Ali was important to
history for many reasons but three specific reasons, his defiance, his influence, and ultimately his
skill. Muhammad Ali had the ability to create a reaction with his words, and action in ways that was

only for what he did in the ring but also for what he did outside of the ring .

Comparing Structure And Culture Of The Same Industry Essay
1. Compare structure and culture of two or more firms in the same industry. Which would you prefer

The two firms being compared were google and apple, both firms dominate the intersection of
technology and consumer access. In addition they both compete across a huge range of sub–
industries such as computing software, hardware, operating systems, applications and web browsing
amongst others. However each firm takes a different approach from an organizational perspective.

conducts its business, treats its employee, customer and wider community. Moreover, Google
represents a cross– functional structure also known as matrix or flat structure. This means that
employees, groups or teams can bypass middle management and report directly to the top
management, one being the CEO, Sundar Pichai.

Banning Boxing Essay
Banning Boxing
Last year half the world stood still for one of the biggest spectacles in sport – a championship–
boxing match. In May 2002, Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson stepped in the ring to settle a yearlong
grudge by fighting each other. For the event, both men were flown to Las Vegas, Nevada, where
they trained for weeks and prepared themselves for the bout. The revenue created from stadium
seats, advertising and pay–per–view television (arranged by Don King of course) amounted to over
100 million dollars, all leading up to a bout that, in all possibility, could have been over in the first
round. Months of preparation and millions of dollars in investment would climax in a 3–minute
event. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Years of abuse in the ring (punches to the chest, head and stomach) have taken their toll on him, and
the evidence of brain damage is chillingly present in his constant shakes and movements – a
reminder of the risk involved when entering the ring.
As well as the physical danger there is also corruption in boxing, as illegal gambling on fixed
matches can lead to gang crime and murders. As shown in the film "Snatch", a gang leader is led to
placing extraordinary amounts of money on a fixed bout and ends up in trouble with his clients
when one of the fighters had a different bet and caused him to lose. These chains of events can be
seen as a justice for those who take part in illegal gambling, but nonetheless it should be stopped.
Boxing leads us to believe that our problems can be solved with violence, instead of dealing with
them properly. If boxing were banned, it would almost certainly go underground and cause even
more crimes to deal with.
On the other hand, there are some advantages to boxing, in that it generates a lot of income for the
organisers, promoters and coaches, and even the boxers themselves get a pay check in excess of one
million dollars (in the biggest events). The fighters are clearly willing to take the risk of injury and
concussion to earn large amounts of money, and if the worst should happen, they accept the
responsibility of their actions.

to write. Any time, I have consulted Wikipedia, I have found the information on par with other
sources. There is always a reference list at the end of the articles, with resources to use for further
research. My vote is for letting students use it as one resource, but not their only resource.
In her article, Murley (2010) presents different reasons to use Wikipedia to teach students how to
evaluate and edit articles. She believes that she has found Wikipedia to be a valuable source to find a
link or reference to answer questions.
Wikipedia has existed since January 2001 by Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger. Wikipedia is an online
encyclopedia written and edited by volunteers. Murley states that as of March 2008, Wikipedia
contained more than nine million articles, of which two million were in English. More than 75,000

Informative Essay On Boxing
Boxing in Sports Betting
About boxing
Boxing is one of the top sports you can wager on. Big fights don't happen every week, so this is the
ideal sport for the casual gambler. Everybody loves a big punt on a massive fight, and given that
anything can happen in a boxing ring, it makes the prospect of betting on boxing all so exciting.
Boxing is not limited to any specific country, nor does it follow any simple league structure. Both
professional and amateur boxing exists, and there are many weight divisions in each format. Most of
the big money is wagering on title fights, particularly in the heavyweight division. Boxing is also an
Olympic Games sport, and just recently it was agreed that professional boxers (as opposed to the
traditional amateur ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is an Overs/Unders bet which is based on the total number of points scored, or the amount of
rounds the fight will last. Of course, if you are after a big knock–out (and let's face it, we all love a
good knock–out), then the Knock–Out Bet could be for you. This bet allows you to bet money on a
boxer knocking out the other. Players will only pick up winnings if their chosen boxer does indeed
knock out the other. A points victory is not enough to see you win this bet.
Betting tips and strategies
Learn about boxing styles. Each boxer has their own arsenal of moves, most of which fit under a
specific style of boxing. Sometimes boxers are evenly matched in this arena, and sometimes they
aren't. The same can also be said of height, weight, and reach (how far they can extend their punches
from their body). These can all play critical roles in determining a fight, so do your homework
before you bet.
Injuries and form are also worth looking at. An injured boxer is instantly going to be at a
disadvantage, but the bookies won't tell you if the boxer is injured. You'll need to read up on that
yourself. Moreover, if a boxer has had a bad run of form, it may play on his mind during the fight. A
recent loss may damage a boxer's pride, or it could spur them on to recover with a resounding win.
Keep that in mind when betting on boxing,

Essay on Wikipedia and Its Credibility Wikipedia and its Credibility Wikipedia and its Credibility The Wikipedia is a free, online encyclopedia that lets every individual with Internet connection write and edits its articles. Jimmy Wales and Larry Sanger launched their creation in 2001 giving an opportunity to all willing people to work together to develop a common resource of knowledge. Many people have different believes and ideas about Wikipedia, therefore, some tend to think of it as a credible and valid source of information, others strongly disagree. "Since all the books and articles have been chosen for publication, each one has presumably undergone some form of selection and review" (Spatt, 2011, "p."339–340). Unfortunately, this statement is simply not enough to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Going straight to the source is the best way to check if the information in the article is reliable and credible. A New Tool to Check the Quality of Articles German professor Stock created a new tool that allows checking the quality of articles posted on Wikipedia and stated, Wiki–Watch serves as a research tool indicating lack of sources and evaluating the reliability of every entry made, using WikiTrust's color code system to display reputation of a text according to the reputation and number of revisions by users. Wiki–Watch analyzes every Wikipedia entry ever created in a few seconds, checks the number of sources used in the article and the quality of editing (para. 2). Wiki–Watch uses a color codes system to check the reputation of the article by figuring out how many times people revised the article. White color means reliable information; therefore, yellow color has an opposite meaning. This system also checks for the credibility of the article and emphasizes individual words used in the article. Many Editors to Correct the Errors Wikipedia counts 75,000 editors who check the articles and their content to make sure that the information is valid and reliable. According to Schaffer (2009), the journal Nature conducted a study in 2005 and proved that Wikipedia is just as valid as any other encyclopedia, including Britannica, keeping in mind that errors and vandalism can occur to any of them (para. 2). Google is a corporation, a search engine, and what some people describe as being a way of life. In fact, Google is the fourth most popular website visited in the world (Brin–Gale Biography). And in 2003 Google was at the top of the world as one of the most powerful businesses and presently still is (Page, Gale Biography). However, Google has done a lot more than dominating the Internet domain. Google has helped the world in a variety of ways. The founders of Google, Larry Page and Sergey Brin, have affected the world through their education and upbringing, the creation of Google, and the project Google Green. Lawrence (Larry) Edward ... • 39. Brokeback Mountain Analysis Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx is a heart wrenching short story written with an intimate style that evokes clear imagery in the mind of the reader. Although, only 28 pages in length the short story offered Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana source material that had potential to be expanded and to build upon the already created Midwestern reality. One of the elements altered for the screenplay from the short story is the perspective; which follows the main character, Ennis Del Mar over the course of twenty years. Although, not told through Ennis' eyes exactly, the reader is given access to his emotional state; meaning his thoughts and feelings are explained more so than any other character. For example: "He had no serious hard feelings, just a vague sense of getting shortchanged, and showed it was all right by taking Thanksgiving dinner with Alma and her grocer and the kids, sitting between his girls and talking horses to them, , telling jokes, trying not to be a sad daddy." (pg. 16) The screenplay shares a similar perspective, but expands the view to include Jack Twist, moving between the lives of both men throughout the years. However, the screenplay stays true to the source material by paying more attention to the original main character, Ennis. Another element that is changed from the short story to the screenplay is the expansion or flushing out of characters. In Proulx's story, characters other than Ennis and Jack are mostly referred to, or given glimpses of. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. Montana 1948 Loyalty Quotes Montana 1948 Essay In the novel, Montana 1948, written by Larry Watson, an important event occurred at the end of the story in which the character Wesley finally stands up to his power obsessed father, Julian. This event allowed the readers to comprehend the ideas of loyalty versus justice, power over the oppressed and the breakdown of family hierarchy. In Montana 1948 the idea of loyalty versus justice was shown in the event. When Wesley and his father Julian are disputing about Wesley's brother, Frank, and how he is locked inside the basement, Wesley states that "This isn't about family, this is a legal matter". This implies that Wesley has chosen Justice over loyalty. Watson's intention for making Wesley choose Justice over loyalty, was to show how difficult it can be for a person who has a huge amount of responsibility in the field of justice and choose either loyalty to family or justice disregarding how bad the situation is. This is crucial in society today, because countless of people who work for the law, will always have the hard decision of choosing loyalty to their family or choosing justice. ... Both of Page's parents, Carl and Gloria Page, taught computer programming at the University of Michigan. At the age of six, Larry began his interactions with computers and computer parts that lay around him from his parents, and fully immersed himself into the world of computers. Because of his parent's influence, Larry knew at the age of 12 that he was going to be successful one day, so decided to pursue a bachelor's degree in computer engineering from his local university, none other than the University of Michigan where his parents taught computer engineering and artificial intelligence. After accomplishing his goal of achieving a bachelor's degree, he set his goals even higher and pursued a master's degree in computer science at Stanford University. Around this time, the World Wide Web and the birth of the Internet had just been released and is still brand new, and this is the factor that helps Larry push to become the entrepreneur he is today. There are a series of events that occur which demonstrate how abusing power can result in catastrophic consequences which affect both individuals and communities. What makes Julian and Wes different is that Wes learns that justice is more important in a society than loyalty. Wes is responsible for the Frank's arrest which later on caused severe family tension. But the important consequence is that Wes didn't going to treat his brother the same as any other criminal that he'd pass in his job. Instead of jailing Frank in the town jail, Wes finds his own basement as the most suitable option. In practicality, prisoning Frank in a basement is not the best or safest option, especially for the people who live above that basement. Over the years, Ellison has been given the nickname The Pirate because of the amount of acquisitions he has made. Even though people doubted Ellison could build such a large company by buying other companies, he has made Oracle the largest provider of corporate software in the world (Nelson & Quick, 2013). The CEO of Oracle has a strong ability to exercise his power and influence in the form of hostile takeovers. A good example of this would be his actions towards the forced resignation of Hewlett–Packards CEO Mark Hurd. This happened after an investigation was launched involving allegations of sexual harassment. Larry Ellison quickly blamed the board of trustees at Hewlett–Packard for the forced resignation, then he instantly hired Hurd at Oracle (Nelson & Quick, 2013). The new CEO of Hewlett–Packard became the next target for Ellison, he accused the CEO of overseeing intellectual property theft at his previous job. The CEO of Hewlett–Packard fought back against Ellison and stated that the allegations were complete hogwash and untrue (Nelson & Quick, 2013). Ellison then went back and questioned Hewlett–Packards board of trustees and CEO all together about their competence, intelligence, and integrity. Falwell a dispute arose when Hustler Magazine, a a magazine that circulates nationwide featured a parody of an advertisement for Campari Liqueur. The inside front cover of the magazine presented interviews with celebrities who described their "first time." One of the parodies belonged to Jerry Falwell, a nationally acclaimed minister who was featured as describing his "first time" with his mother when they were both intoxicated from drinking Campari Liqueur. While the interviews with the celebrities contained a double sexual reference, it was evident in the end that the ads were referring to the first time the celebrities had tried Campari Liqueur. However, after the magazine was accessible to the public, Jerry Falwell sued Hustler Magazine and its publisher for libel, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. At trial court the judge dismissed the invasion of privacy claim and then sent the case to the jury where they ruled Hustler Magazine on the claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress and awarded Jerry Falwell $150,000. The case was then taken to the Supreme Court level on appeal by the petitioner, Jerry Falwell. IV. In May 2002, Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson stepped in the ring to settle a yearlong grudge by fighting each other. For the event, both men were flown to Las Vegas, Nevada, where they trained for weeks and prepared themselves for the bout. The revenue created from stadium seats, advertising and pay–per–view television (arranged by Don King of course) amounted to over 100 million dollars, all leading up to a bout that, in all possibility, could have been over in the first round. Years of abuse in the ring (punches to the chest, head and stomach) have taken their toll on him, and the evidence of brain damage is chillingly present in his constant shakes and movements – a reminder of the risk involved when entering the ring. As well as the physical danger there is also corruption in boxing, as illegal gambling on fixed matches can lead to gang crime and murders. As shown in the film "Snatch", a gang leader is led to placing extraordinary amounts of money on a fixed bout and ends up in trouble with his clients when one of the fighters had a different bet and caused him to lose. These chains of events can be seen as a justice for those who take part in illegal gambling, but nonetheless it should be stopped. Boxing leads us to believe that our problems can be solved with violence, instead of dealing with them properly. If boxing were banned, it would almost certainly go underground and cause even more crimes to deal with. On the other hand, there are some advantages to boxing, in that it generates a lot of income for the organisers, promoters and coaches, and even the boxers themselves get a pay check in excess of one million dollars (in the biggest events). The fighters are clearly willing to take the risk of injury and concussion to earn large amounts of money, and if the worst should happen, they accept the responsibility of their actions. ... This bet allows you to bet money on a boxer knocking out the other. Players will only pick up winnings if their chosen boxer does indeed knock out the other. A points victory is not enough to see you win this bet. Betting tips and strategies Learn about boxing styles. Each boxer has their own arsenal of moves, most of which fit under a specific style of boxing. Sometimes boxers are evenly matched in this arena, and sometimes they aren't. The same can also be said of height, weight, and reach (how far they can extend their punches from their body). These can all play critical roles in determining a fight, so do your homework before you bet. Injuries and form are also worth looking at. An injured boxer is instantly going to be at a disadvantage, but the bookies won't tell you if the boxer is injured. You'll need to read up on that yourself.
