In my music video I plan to film in this studio. This will be a basic background and will
include the lights which are in their. I am doing this simply because I think that this is the
most particle idea , I also did not have any other ideas of where I could film. By having this
background I realize that my video will look quite plain and boring. To change this
perspective I will include many effects and may change the background in the video several
times, this is going to be done by masking the person. These effects here have all been
done by myself so I know how to do them. This will save me time. The idea of these effects
are that they are suppose to make my video look interesting and unique. This will hopefully
make my video appeal to my target audience.
My background is just going to be
the studio background which is
white.
4. effects
These are some more effects. The look I am trying to go for in my video is going to be quite
trippy. This is because I feel that these effects look really cool and entertaining. These effects
will be fairly easy to achieve I believe and if I am stuck there are several YouTube videos which
could show me how to implement them. The effects are all unique and I think they will all look
really good if they are combined. These effects which look interesting will hopefully make my
music video look less plain and boring.
5. For my music video I will include maybe
several backgrounds. These backgrounds
will be either created by myself or will be
edited with effects. This has been shown in
the fire image. This is a black screen with
fire on it. This makes the audience ask
several questions such as where is this and
when was this taken. This technique will
allow me to make my music video look good
as well as entertaining. From doing this I will
also be able to change the feel and look of
the music swiftly.
In my music video I plan on having some shots
similar to this. This shot is a medium close up. I
want to include shots like this as I feel it allows the
audience to get to no more about the artist. By this I
mean that they are seeing him close up this could
suggest that they are getting to know him on a
more personal level due to this shot looks like u are
talking to him. The shot I will include with possibly
have a different color background or may just be
grey.

In the intro I will include some text which will show the
audience what song this is and who it is by. This will only be
included before the rapping starts. The shot included for this
will be just a medium shot of the artist possibly in slow
motion. After this it will then transition into the start of the
song where I will have a close up and a medium shot. This
will show the audience the artist up close. This will be in
time to the music.
For this I will use the studio. This is because of its
white background. I will also need to use a camera
and possibly a tripod to get a steady focused shot of
the artist.
Chorus/hook 20 For the chorus I plan to have different shots for every time
the beats changes. This will make it look quite good in my
opinion. This is also used in several music videos. In this as
well I plan to include many effects , this is because tis is the
main part of the song. The effects used will be weird trippy
element like a vhs effect and also maybe a glitch effect. The
idea of including these effects is to make my video unique
and stand out. In this I will also include shots like close ups
and medium shots which will be both low and from a
medium angle.
For this again I will need the studio and also will
need a camera and tripod to get the correct shots. I
will also need to edit which will mean I will need to
have a computer with adobe premier on it. This will
allow me to add my effects onto my video.
Ending 24 For the ending and as the song gets slower I will probably
include less variety of shots but however will use some
effects. I will do this as I feel that it will not fit the beat. For
the ending I plan to include again some close up and medium
shots and also may include a long shot. This is because I feel
that it will look better with a wide range of shots. These will
also be low or medium angles.
The technical aspects will to be to add effects. These
will be done by myself possibly adding a colour
overlay or maybe duplicating the clips and changing
the capacity to make it look like a glitch. To do this I
will need to a computer to edit on with adobe
premier.

intro 23 For the intro I also plan to use quite an urban looking font to
indicate to the audience who the artist is. This font will be
similar to graffiti. The font will then most likely include some
effects such as a stroke or possibly even a drop shadow.
These simple effects will make the text stand out more. After
I have included the text it will then swiftly change to the
track. After I have done that I will then start to add more
effects.
To make a swift transition between the text and the
start of the rapping I will select a small portion of the
clip and then speed it up. This is because I feel that
this makes a good looking and quick transition. The
effects I will most likely use during the intro are
effects such as colour overlay or I might include
something like a trippy overlay video , this will be
imported and then most likely edited.
Chorus/hook 20 For the chorus and the hook I will most likely include a close
up first and the change into a medium close up after. This
will change very quickly ad often. I then plan to include some
weird effects for each time the chorus comes around. One
effect I am thinking about is possibly to have a zoomed in
part of the clip and overlay some googles or something over
it. All though this sounds confusing I think that it will be fairly
simple to construct.
For the technical side of this I will have to include
these effects. This will be done by using adobe
premier. To do these effects I will have to mask the
clip or mask the object so that it works. I will also
include some video overlays. These will be used
again from YouTube but will be edited. To include
these I will import the video and change the scale of
it. I will then maybe change the opacity or the
blending mode , depending on what looks best.
ending 24 At the ending I plan to include some text which will possibly
say who it was made by and maybe who was in it. This will be
included when the rapping stops and will probably be placed
as the video starts to fade away. The text used will be quite
formal looking , this is to indicate that this is the end of the
song. Then formal looking text will most likely be in white or
black, this is because they stand out quite a bit.
To implement this I will have to go on a website like
dafont or maybe 1001fonts and choose a font which
will link with my video. To import this I will have to
save it as a png or jpeg and import it that way. I will
then include maybe a small video of the clip with a
blank background , this will be so I can place the text
on it. This will be like having a split screen.

intro 23 The final thing in the introduction is the thing that is
happening in the shots. In the shots at the beginning I just
plan to have the artist moving around and possibly moving
his arms. This is something that rappers do. I will then have a
collection of clips like this and because the song I have
chosen Is quite up beat I plan to have lots of different angles
and shots as well as transitions. One effect I am keen to use
is these animation lines which can be added in after effects.
This will be good in the intro as I feel that they will set the
scene for the music video. They are also frequently used in
hip hop videos.
To do this I will need to direct the artist into what he
is going to be doing. I will also need the basics such
as a camera and a tripod. This will still be filmed in
the studio.
Chorus/hook 20 For the chorus and hook I will have the artist dancing and
moving around quickly however this does not mean running.
The will be edited with weird effects to make it look more
interesting. The artist will be moving their hands and moving
in different directions. We may also include some lip syncing
however this is not definite. The lip syncing if included will
only be In the chorus.
To do this I will need to direct the artist again so that
he knows what he is doing. I will also need to film
this several times so that I have a wide verity of
shots. To add the effects I will then have to add
ending 24 For the ending I also plan to have the movement slowed
down by the artist. This is because towards the end of most
songs the beat usual slows down. This will then link with the
music quite well. I also plan to add some slow motion or
some fast pace clips. This will be just before the ending.
To do this I will have to again direct the artist. i will
also have to consider the movement based don the
beat , for example if it is a fast pace beat I will
include fats movement of effects which will will
speed the clips up.
9. This story board does not look that exiting. This story board is basically showing different angles and the different shots I will be getting.
The lighting will not be in frame and is only there to show that I will use lights from different angles. The character in this does not
represent my character In the best light. This is because my character will not be wearing these items. the character will also not be doing
these actions however I included them to show that my character will be changing his movement throughout the video.
For this storyboard I have tried to show some effects that I might use and the different backgrounds. All though this will be filmed on a white background I could mask the character and
have them on another background , this would be for a short space of time. These backgrounds are not definite but will be similar to this. One effect I have tried to show is the fire one.
This will be included somewhere in my music video. I have then included kind of a glitch effect where they duplicate. I will also include this one. I have again changed the arm movements
however these movements will not be carried out. The outfit I have chose here will also not be worn most likely by the artist.
10. In this part which is the chorus of the song I will use these or similar effects. In this story board I have tried to show the effects I will
use. In the first frame I have tried to show that I will use animation lines or movement lines. These lines will most likely be different
to grey. The other effect I have tried to show is the vhs effect. This is simple to do. The last effect is lightning. I may decide to include
this or something else. This will be imported form YouTube and will be already green screened. This will allow me to get rid of the
background easier.
Although this final story board looks very plain its really there to show the artist is moving. The background will be grey and white so will not
look as plain. The things I will include which are not in my story board are effects like slow motion and fast pace. I also didn't’t know how to
use a color overlay but will most likely use that. I may also fill the person in with something like water or the static element on a tv.

will set the scene and will
clearly show the whole
artist in frame.

angle. However I plan to
start this with a low angle
and transition between
the two.

also in the chorus. I will
try include several full
shots.

natural viewing angle.
Moving this will be used when
the artist moves around.
This will be used in the
chorus and also the build
up.
6 Long shot This will be a medium
angle this is because this
will be used to fit the
whole artist in the shot.
static This will be most likely at
the end. This will show
the audience the full
artist. This shot is
typically used when the
beat slows down.

14. Location.
For my locations I plan to film in the studio whilst at college. This will be filmed during the college day so will not have to come in and
film after college. In the studio I will have a camera and a tripod. I plan to film in the studio as I feel that I can change the background
when editing and it will allow me to easily add effects. By this I mean that I will not have anything stupid in the background. I will also be
able to control the lighting in the studio better. If I can not get into the studio I will film around college. This will be somewhere which is
clear of many people. I will ask the media teachers before access.
Equipment
The equipment I will be using will be fairly basic in the sense that this is what would be typically used when filming. The camera is
obviously there to film the music video. With the cameras settings I will probably experiment with the focus as well as any other
settings. The lights will be there to light the video. There will be 4 lights. This will allow me to experiment with the brightness maybe
have different lighting in different parts of the video. The speaker will be there for the artist to move along to. Finally the tripod will be
there to get any static shots I need.
