15. Academic History
• At school I studied the core subjects such as maths English and the 3 sciences. I also up to year 9 had to RE, German, French,
PE, History and geography. The subjects I most enjoyed and found the most interesting I then took at the end of year 9. these
were geography, re and pe I then took media and business. This is where my passion for media started. I really enjoyed media
at gcse level. This was because I liked the media units we covered. These were looking and analysing newspapers, creating and
evaluating magazines and also studying radio. After that I then decided to do creative media level 2 at college, I would have
started level 3 but unfortunately I failed both maths and English. At level 2 I learnt skills that prepared me for level 3, these
were photoshop skills, writing skills and also the terminology needed. Throughout the year so far I feel as if I have
implemented those skills.
16. Current Study
At the moment I am doing level 3 creative media at York college, I like this course and liked it last year. This
is because I feel that this allows me to show all my particle skills as well as writing skills, one thing I really
like about this course is the print units and also the flexibility you have when doing some projects. This
allows me to be as creative as I want and allows me to make anything I desire. This course also allows me
to practice loads of new skills, these are programming skills, this covers programs like adobe photoshop
and adobe premiere which I am now confident in using. This course has also taught me technical skills
such as how to use a camera correctly and about the different modes, another technical skill would be
using lighting in the studio as well as using voice recorders. The final thing I have and am currently
learning is writing about the product or the research I am doing, this is a vital skill in media as it allows
myself to think more broadly about the audience, how it will target them and also why I’m creating this.
17. The Future
In the future I would like to do something media related. This is because of m interest in media and because
I enjoy learning about it as well as the particle side to it. Key areas that interest me are journalism, graphic
design and marketing. I also find print based media the most interesting. This is because it is seen
everywhere and is in my opinion the most enjoyable to produce.i would love to work for a business or
company that produces print adverts and would love to create marketing campaigns for products. This
will be done by myself carrying on studying at university and developing the skills and gaining the
knowledge that I need to become successful.
18. Outside College
Outside of college I usually do typical teenager things. One of these being I play for the local football team.
The team I play for is called ryedale and we’re currently 2nd in the league. I train once a week and have a
match once a week. I usually play on either side of the wings or occasionally up front. This allows me to
run around and relieve stress. Apart from football I also have an interest in clothes and shoes. This is a
new interest and only really began to be interested in this about 2 years ago. Since then I have had many
shoes and have also sold lots of clothes and shoes . I usually sell these on either eBay or depop. This helps
me get some extra money, as of last summer I started working down at flamingo land. This was for 5 days
a week and then as college started again it was just weekends. The money was fairly poor and didn’t really
enjoy it that much but suppose I did earn something.
19. Conclusion
In conclusion I will just have to keep working hard and keep developing my skills in all areas so
that I have a variety of things I can do after I complete this course. I am not too sure of what I
want to do specifically after college however I am very interested in marketing and
production. This will mean I just have to work harder and be determined so I can go to
university either next year or the year after or just get a job or apprenticeship in the industry.
20. Introduction
Ever since a few years ago since I got my first supreme item I fell in live with fashion and brands of which focus
there collections around streetwear. I will always talk about brands like supreme to my friends and all ways talk
about upcoming release of specific shoes and clothing pieces. I have also ever since I remember been interested
in football, this is because I have always played it ever since I was young and always been interested in
Manchester United. For my fmp next year I will include something of which I am very in such as one of these
subjects. These will always be my interests I imagine until I’m a lot older but I will obviously continue to be
interested in these subjects after college.
I want to go to university because i will then gain more skills and also life experience of which i will need when i
leave university. These are skills like living alone, cooking and also cleaning.
