OLLY MURS – ‘RIGHT PLACE RIGHT TIME’
Artist name, revealed in bold red colour
scheme, makes sure its clear and his name
dominates the majority of the poster.
Below is the title of the album, ‘RIGHT
PLACE RIGHT TIME’, in a black heavily
bold font with makes it stand out from the
rest of the fonts used on the page.
The main aim of the poster is to promote
the artist himself, which is why he
features as the main piece of artwork. Also
the colour scheme has been largely
thought about, the light blue background
alongside the only other 3 colours; Red,
black and white dominates the poster and
creates a very artistic aesthetic.
The way they have stapled the artist as
the main piece of artwork on the advert is
very interesting. Obviously it’s to let
everyone know who it is at first sight and
catch his or her eye, the way he is dressed
also is relative to the advert. The adverts
fonts and writing style is quite original
and has a creative ethos that matches the
way the artist is dressed in a ‘Old
fashioned’ type of indie style that isn’t
common in nowadays. This idea is the
supported by the way the fonts are
creative in their fonts and layouts create a
more interesting and visually pleasing
product for their audience to view.
The last piece of writing on the advert includes the artists
website, where you can buy merchandise, albums etc.
However the advert doesn’t contain a logo of the record
label for example that was used to develop the album, this
is uncommon, as usually you would see it placed in a
corner on the advert to advertise that company.
It similarly doesn’t contain a web link to the website you
can download the album such as ITunes etc.
Below the main titles, it says ‘OUT NOW’,
this is key to letting the audience its
appealing to know that it is available to
purchase.
Below this it says that it includes hit
singles (more people now it) and
alongside other artists that have a fan
base that would not particularly buy an
Olly Murs album, so therefore it helps
widen the products target audience.
