The music video that I analyzed used colors as a way to signify different emotions that she felt in the situation that she was in. The artist is centered within the middle of the image. This would attract the demographic of the bands fan base as she has been a forefront in a lot of there other content and so is easily recognizable The iconography of the bands name matches the general aesthetic of the rest of the cover; with the words being relaxed, elegant and almost appearing hand written. This font style is a recurring chose through there other album and singles release.
- 2. ‘Florence And The Machine’ • The advert itself seems to appeal mostly to a young adult audience possibly those who would be described as the explorers or reformers those looking at a ‘unique’ way of expression or with an interest in the era. The advert comes across as more reserved and sophisticated whereas other advert in the genre usually are more abstract or aimed at a younger audience. • The advert itself has connotations of being placed in a different era, which is also shown in the music video. The lighting is similar to how we may see images from 1920’s and 1950’s to be. With shadows on the face emphasizing features. In the music video I previously analyzed there was these themes of there time periods shown throughout so this may be a theme of the album. • We could consider this common of the genre as it does have a recurring theme of this time period throughout. The albums within the indie genre tend to have a theme used as a muse for the album itself.
