• Demographic 17-25 years old, both genders but more focused towards males.
• Out of the 13 people who answered my survey, 10 said they watched horror movies,
2 said sometimes, and 1 person did not watch them.
• 10 people said they preferred the Paranormal Disturbance theme, and 3 said
Violence. Some of those who said Violence were male, which could be stereotypical
of this gender.
• When asked what they found conventional, most answered with low key lighting, dark
colours and suspense. Some also said ghosts, which links to the paranormal theme.

• When asked what they expect to see in a horror movie, people said
low key lighting, build ups to something bigger, blood and panic.
• When asked what they find appealing in a horror trailer most said
suspense, cliff hangers, violence and an outline of the story
• When asked what they would find appealing on a horror magazine
cover, most said a close up of the main character, dark conventional
colours, like blacks and reds, and sans serif fonts.

• The trailer I used (The Babadook) didn’t make people jump, so did not have much of an

• Their demographic would be 17 years and above, up to around 25 years old. They
would be both genders, but more focused towards males.
• Psychographic is people who are interested in movies, video games and music.

They also like cliff hangers, suspense and
screaming as the diegetic sounds.
• They’re expectations of form are to see an outline
of the story in the trailer. Within the movie they
expect to see an isolated area for the setting.
