2. House-style
Creating a house style across
all the media products
was a crucial element to
ensure a sense of synergy
in my products. In order
to do this, the thriller
genre conventions were
the main design
throughout the design
process of the teaser
trailer, movie poster and
movie magazine.
Using dark colours and
images showing
fearfulness kept the
house-style primed.
3. Font
The font on both the movie poster and movie magazine was different as I felt
the poster font was to abrupt and informal for a magazine masthead that
would be released every week. In doing this, I have used a range of fonts to
attract and appeal to the audience in different formats; interestingly I believe
this worked greatly as the overall appearance of both the movie poster and
movie magazine front cover looks to be professional and realistic – if I were
to have used the same fonts for both products I believe this would have
made one piece of work to a lower standard as the font would not have been
specifically chosen for the poster of front cover.
