2. House Style?
House styles consists of colour schemes fonts
and other techniques which makes your creative
products consistent between each other and
different from other peoples work. This means
that thinking about the house style I want to
have for my film poster will be very important to
ensure that my work has it’s individual qualities
when being compared with similar products.
3. Fonts
When looking into fonts I decided to look
back at my teaser trailer to see what key
fonts were used to portray the title of
my film. We used the font “Pixelmix”
which is font which is very block heavy
which gives the text a more internet feel
which is a topic explored through out
teaser trailer. I think that using this font
would be a good idea for my film poster
as it can give of a similar feel to one
which was given in our teaser trailer. The
colour of the font I will talk about more
in my next slide.
4. Colour
I want the colour to help bring out certain themes
which have been explored in our teaser trailer.
These include things such as alcohol abuse, parents
getting a divorce, fake relationships. These themes
could be seen as dark or cold. Because of this I want
to use a lot of blue and black which are dark/cold
colours. This also is conventional of a thriller genre
which is a subgenre of the film. The colours black
and blue also contrast, which I found out my target
audience noticed and liked about certain film
posters when I asked them during a focus group.
5. Conclusion
In conclusion, I feel that my house style will be
able to fit in with my other products within my
portfolio well more specifically my teaser
trailer as the font’s I plan to use will be
consistent. I also think that it will enhance the
thriller feel which I hope to bring across in
this film poster.
