1. 1. The IPC have been associated with many types of magazines. From
shooting times to Anglers mail. They have a wide target audience
but mainly at middle aged man who has a variety when it comes to
hobbies. I know this because from the research i have done I realise
that they mainly do this as for example going back to the shooting
times and the Anglers mail magazines. Sporting gun and classic
boats are other examples of the main target audience being middle
aged men. However there is evidence that they target middle aged
woman as well as magazines involving weddings for example.
2. IPC would be an appropriate publisher for a new magazine as they
have a lot of experience when it comes to targeting an audience.
Over the year the IPC have targeted many people for woman to
man so this will be brought when they are making a new magazine.
3. The IPC are more likely to publish a genre which can be related to
both genders so for example Classical. The reason for this is
because in the past they have normal targeted at the male and
female audience so I think of they were to publish then it would be
a genre/type of magazine where the audience is both genders.
4. Bauer is another well-known publisher which too has had a lot of
experience. Their target audience ranges from various audiences
including FHM, Heat and Grazia. FHM is aimed at young male adults
whereas the target audience for Heat is young female so there Is
prove of a range in target audiences. This shows that Bauer have
had a lot of success publisher loads of well-known magazines. Again
this shows a good knowledge in aiming at a target audience which
could suggest this alternative to be appropriate.
