It is the management and maintenance of the property and equipment of an institution or organization, a house, industrial or commercial institution Cleanliness, Comfort and Safety are the essence of housekeeping.
  6. 6. CLEANLINESS  Room, bed, toilets should be clean  Room must be swept and mopped & carpets cleaned  Furniture should be in place, and everything should be maintained in its original state  Bed has to be made  Toilets supplies should be replenished

COMFORT  The furniture should be such that the guest are able to relax  Height of the furniture is in relevance to the writing table  Bed should be soft and comfortable  Supplies that are kept in the room should be convenient for the guest, e.g. the scribbling pad should be placed on the bedside table near the telephones
