2. Wise Application Packager – Long-term consulting assignment to support a newly formed internal Wise support team which
was under trained and behind schedule in the installation and implementation. Charged with creating 80 packages and
troubleshooting, fixing and testing 250 already created within the 3 month timeframe. Used Wise Package Studio v5.6 and v6.01.
• Wise Package Training - Trained internal staff on Wise best practices, practical tips, and tricks not taught in the Wise class
to more effectively build packages and manage packages already created. Trained technicians on the proper use of conflict
detection and resolution.
• Best Practices - Created a best practices exclusion list and added customizations specific to Florid Hospital’s environment
• Locked Down Environment - Added needed registry and file permissions to the packages so they would properly install and
work in the locked down environment

Systems Support
• Windows XP Migration Project - Worked exclusively for 10 weeks as lead technician and was instrumental in sourcing an
outside contractor to assist for duration of project. Certified 360+ applications for use on Windows XP. Selected hardware to be
purchased for the PC’s that needed to be replaced due to insufficient capabilities and subsequently built the images for the
hardware. Established security settings and software distribution methodology. Coordinated with other departments to ensure
technical uniformity. Project finished on time, on budget, and was considered a great success.
• Antivirus Servers - Sole support for the Norton Antivirus/Symantec Antivirus servers that supported all 6,000+ PC’s in ORH.

• Software Implementation - Sole technician on numerous projects to implement new software, including repackaging the
software utilizing LANDesk to deploy. Packaged and deployed Sunquest and Misys (with related updates) to 1400 and 1600+
PC’s respectively, Antivirus (and 3 version upgrades) to all ORH PC’s, and Microsoft Office 2000/2003 to all PC’s via internal
Ghost image. Installed more than 200 applications. Handled change management paperwork on all software projects.
3. Asset Manager - Collaborated with internal database developers to create ORH’s first IT Asset Management Database from initial
order through retirement (implmentation). Subsequently developed the IT Ordering Database that integrated with the Asset Mgmt
Database to more effectively manage IT purchases and inventory.
• Initiated project to make both databases web viewable for other departments (without ability to change data).
• Managed both databases and created queries/reports for other departments and management as needed.
Queue Manager - Challenged with providing escalated support throughout ORHS and acted as liaison to Field Support
Technicians companywide to ensure that internal customer software/hardware needs were supported in a timely and effective
manner. Delegated specific issues to other SME’s in configuration management and managed the SLA’s for them to ensure timely
resolution.
Field Support Tech., Level 2 (Dec. 1998 – Jan. 2001) – Provided desktop, printer connectivity, software, load testing, and
documentation support to Physicians and all other employees. Lead tech support out of 9 technicians for the 8 hospitals owned by
ORHS. Assigned to flagship hospital, Orlando Regional Medical Center, in downtown Orlando (581 beds) as sole support of
PC’s/Printers in the hospital as well as trainer of new technicians as hired. Supported other technicians as Subject Matter Expert on
escalated issues. Handled PC moves; set up and configured PC systems for new employees; traveled to other locations as needed
to resolve problems
• Operations Improvement – Reorganized dysfunctional printer repair room to an organized operation that was capable of
maintaining several spare printers of every model, and at least 3 parts of every major type for quick repair. Earned Lexmark’s
warranty repair service agreement to enable Lexmark printers to be serviced onsite, reducing repair time from weeks to 2 days
and made the purchase of all Lexmark parts 25% cheaper than retail. Saved ORH more than $50K/year on parts alone.
Expanded the printer repair room to include spare parts for the PC’s and maintained spares for them as well
• Training - Implemented a training program for all new techs to spend at least 1 full day in the printer repair room learning the
printing process so that they could more effectively troubleshoot/fix printers in the field; saved ORH more than $75K/year in
labor; reduced staff from 3 to 1 and amount of time printer repair issue was open from over 80 hours to less than 15.
