Operational Data Store (ODS) - ODS or Operational Data Store holding transactional as well
as static data is expected to be the integrated physical data persistence layer of a Data
Integration function. It is expected to bring data together from multiple source systems (as of

3. Job Description ( Feb 2009 – Till Date ) : Working as a IT Infrastructure Lead
Projects Delivered
• Server Assurance Test : - Had been involved in Server Assurance Work where newly
build servers need to be tested to certify that they are built as per given standards. The
work needed to be planned and distributed in advance in order to accommodate no. of
requests. Worked with the Server Build Team to get their servers assured in Time, to
complete prerequisites, update the issues and get them corrected. Sign off the
assurance test. Update the report to higher management.
• Galaxy Installation Project : Galaxy is a tool which gathers information about servers
hardware and other information. We have had no. of servers were galaxy not installed.
I was given a task to identify such servers and install the galaxy on them. Since the no.
of servers were in thousand, I had to planned them Environment wise like
DEV/TEST/DR and LIVE. The task was distributed in following order
Identify the servers which don’t have galaxy installed on them.
Differentiate them according to their environment.
Raise and Implement the change.
Inform the management about the status update
• Syslog Remediation Project : Syslog tool is implemented on all Linux servers across
Barclays estate. We have had issues with around 3500 servers which were not
reporting correctly due to incorrect syslog configuration. I had taken up this project to
remediate such servers. I was involved in identifying such servers and fixing them.
• Ganglia Rollout on AIX LIVE E-Channel Servers : We have had an audit requirement
to install Ganglia ( A Performance monitoring tool ) across E-Channel servers. Since
this was not done before on E-Channel it was a challenge. I had to work with Network
Team to identify the solution. Once the solution was found, it was task to roll it out
across estate.
• HACMP Remediation Project : - Prepared a technical implementation plan to
remediate and test the HA Cluster in the Environment
• DR Remediation Project for UK based Services: I was involved in the delivery of the
first successful DR tests for a number of critical services owned by Global Payments,
including Business Bridge, Sanctions, US Dollar Processing and Faster Payments. This
includes identifying and resolving issues that would have impacted the business in the
event of a real DR invocation I was appreciated with an award for consistently
exhibiting fantastic behaviors and technical knowledge in delivering DR exercises,
taking ownership of complex queries and explaining in non-technical language
ensuring so it can be understood by business colleagues. This includes identifying
and resolving issues that would have impacted the business in the event of a real DR
invocation
• Barclays Spain Transition Programme : Barclays Spain Infrastructure was being
managed by Local infra Team. As a part of strategic decision, It was decided to move
the support to the Global Support Team. So visited Spain for work Transition.
