Professional Biography
Morgan Kerns – Business Development Analyst
Morgan Kerns is a Business Development Analyst at Brooks International. He has two years’
experience in healthcare management. He has focused his career on improving operational efficiency,
through such means as improving employee retention and satisfaction, streamlining communications
with customers, creating effective business processes and modifying employee behavior. Mr. Kerns
also has also worked on significant projects including implementation of a new business information
system and effective event management of two separate venues.
As a skilled practitioner of management and operational development, Mr. Kerns has repeatedly
demonstrated the ability to convince his workforce to, not only accept the need for change, but also to
actively participate and lead the effort. He has been very effective working at all levels of an
organization – from Administrative Assistant to Manager.
Representative examples of Mr. Kerns’ experience and accomplishments:
Collaborated with executive management to obtain a $1.3 million government grant in order to
provide in-home health services to previously unserved or underserved populations; Visits
included physical, cognitive and mental health assessments of the patient, safety evaluation of
the living residence, medication management and caregiver consultation including caregiver
assessment with appropriate referrals to additional educational and support services;
Implemented new technology to capture customer service satisfaction percentages and use the
information to improve the customer approval rating further. As a Manager, Mr. Kerns began the
position with 78 percent customer approval and exited with 94 percent approval.
Led an organizational redesign project to improve marketing efforts and community awareness,
which improved physician and self-referrals by up to 62 percent.
Assessed the need of technological advancement within the organization and developed a long-
term technology plan, along with successful implementation of a modernized business
information system.
Mr. Kerns has a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management from Florida Atlantic University.
