Administrative Management and Leadership
● Oversaw, coordinated and monitored operations of specific administrative programs that improved efficiency of division
operations and accomplishment of objectives, in support of corporate mission. Instituted processes that ensured
compliance to corporate, state and national regulatory standards; collaborative contributions led to the organization
attaining national accreditation through The Joint Commission (TJC) and other national health regulatory agencies.
● Worked collaboratively with senior Vice President and Management to administer specific divisional administrative
programs. Advised on key issues related to administration, HR, policies administration and re-credentialing matters that
sustained corporate policies. Developed and implemented administrative processes that achieved objectives.
● Established and managed division’s providers re-credentialing, grand rounds, HR, National Health Service Corporation
(NHSC) and clinical preceptorship programs. Resulted in improvements, adherence to corporate, state and national rules.
Implemented systems and audited clinicians’ credentials, this improved competency, as well as compliance to corporate,
state and national regulatory standards to 100%.
● Resolved and negotiated issues that smoothly improved operations of administrative programs. Analyzed situations
decided and implemented corrective actions that led to efficiency of the division. Supervised support staff, full time and
part time practitioners. Prepared and managed physicians’ schedule; achieved balanced productivity and ensured clinics
were adequately covered at all times.
Human Resource Management
● Streamlined the division’s Human Resources operations and resolved issues; provided general reliable support to
executives, management, and 850 employees by interpreting and administering corporate processes, policies /
procedures, and establishing / implementing divisional policies. Resolved specific policy-related / procedural problems
and inquiries. Results led to the division’s compliance to corporate procedures.
● Advised, assisted, and follow-up on general HR issues. Supported staff requisitions, recruiting, transfer / status changes,
promotions, new hire divisional orientation, appraisals, payroll, terminations, compensation / benefits, employee
relations, open enrollment, leave of absence, and FMLA matters. Collected, analyzed HR data, made recommendations
and generate reports.
● Reorganized and supervised mechanisms that improved compliance to mandatory training, and timely submission of
performance evaluations. Significantly increased compliance to mandatory training to 98% and appraisal submission
from 48% to 96%.
Credentialing
 Directed coordinators’ work flow. Wrote, revised standard operation procedures and updated policies. Identified gaps
and inefficiencies in existing policies and procedures; suggested solutions. Implemented processes, which
improved department’s efficiency and operations. Audited delegated entities; ensured compliance to DOMC
standards.
 Credentialed and re-credentialed practitioners; results led to providers being granted hospital privileges and
participation with health plans.
 Utilized medical staff by-laws, state and federal regulatory standards to comply with credentialing, recredentialing and
accreditation standards. Advised new applicants on the requirements for membership as outlined in Bylaws.
 Perform primary sources verification; query NPDB, ABMS, AOIA, EPLS, Opt-Out, Florida Department of Health
OIG, SAM. Research, review professional liability malpractice insurance and licensure claims.
 Coordinated and participated in appeal hearings for providers with Adverse Claims issues.
 Worked collaboratively with Risk Management and legal counsel to review Adverse Claims issues.
