Key Tasks
1. KEY TASK
FINANCIAL
Prepare and submit an annual operational budget to the Chairman and President for review and approval,
manage effectively within this budget, and report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered.
To develop and put in place strategic operating plans and budgets for each of the group’s business units and
central functions that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities of the company.
To ensure appropriate and satisfactory systems are in place for monitoring group performance against plans and
budgets.
Review financial statements, sales, disbursements and activity reports, and other performance data to measure
productivity, profitability and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program
improvement.
Authorizes valid cash advances and payments to employees and vendors within authority limits.
SALES
Promote and sell all services of the Company and its affiliates to potential customers.
Maintain/retain, develop and expand the business of existing customers.
Maintaining and developing the relationshipwith the various customers, principals and agents, including taking
an active role in development of new business.
Develop business plan and sales strategy that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
Provides timely, accurate, competitive pricing, while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
OPERATIONAL
To put in place an effective system of controls in Sea freight and Trucking covering nonfinancial as well as
financial controls.
To ensure that operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by
management and employees.
Demonstrate successful execution of business strategies for company products and services.
Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies andobjectives,
operate at optimum cost, create competitive advantage, and satisfy external customer requirement.
To ensure that the company and its divisions comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and,
where appropriate, best practice.
Strives to meet Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of clients, the Company, Staff and of himself.
Support and develop synergies between units of the Royal Cargo Group.
Direct, control and oversee the operations of Ocean Freight and Trucking.
Manage all support aspects of the business, such as Cost control, added value services, accounting planning and
management, accounting, customer service, billing and documentation, and employee development.
Solicit and maintain vendors and impart proper compliance to the Company’s policies and procedures; raise
their standard of service to match the Company’s expectations.
Executes the preventive maintenance program to all its assets under its control.
Ensure that all facilities (offices, warehouse, garages, yards, etc.) are well kept, orderly and clean.
ORGANIZATIONAL
To build and lead an effective and cohesive executive management team with effective succession planning.
Lead a high performing team of employees to the next level by further developing and implementing
recruitment, training, and retention strategies.
Establish and implement departmental polices (Code of Discipline, QMS, HSSE, ISO, 5S, etc.), goals, objectives,
and procedures, conferring with organization officials and staff members as necessary.
Provide leadershipand mentoring to ensure cooperation and collaboration among support staff in realizing the
departmental goals and objectives.
Ensure employees’ resources are appropriate for business requirements including tackling performance issues,
recognizing training needs and reviewing productivity.
Recognize, promote, and inspire individual and team excellence by sharing with the staff a vision larger then
themselves.
