I have more than 20 years of experience in service & manufacturing operations in
multi-national companies including extensive overseas exposures. Holds a MBA in
Business Administration and BA (Hons) in Accounting & Financial Management.
My broad working experience covers all strategies and operational management,
planning and controlling. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in
projects relating to Budgeting Control System, Activity Based Management System
(ABC) and Performance Management Systems (PMS).
I have successfully developed effective key performance indicators (KPI’s) and cost
control & cost reduction strategies in the course of my career. I am highly adaptable
to work/office culture. Effective cost control, wastage control that contributes to
efficiency. I have the ability to translate operation activities into figures for analysis
purpose and familiar with ISO standard operating procedures and training activities;
e.g. TNA (Training Needs Analysis).
With a positive mindset and results orientated through continuous effort in improving
efficiency, cost control procedures implementation; ensure staff competency through
people management to raise profitability in line with organization’s objectives and
mission.
To manage a business, there must be the availability of resources so as to be utilized
in order to grow the business further. Having said that, the experience and knowledge
in people management is vital. Principle of fairness has to be practiced.
After years of observation, I have come to the conclusion that companies may have all
the resources in place. However, they still faced problems in ensuring business
profitability as they lack of leadership and managerial skills. Hence, overall
management and a good understanding in the entire business operations process are
crucial.
