3. Research
My research helped my product in a number of ways with one being that I
was able to see how other magazine covers catch the eye of the reader and
want to make them buy the product. This is something that I implemented in
my product by using big bold and colourful fonts which stand out on the page
in order to make the magazine cover look better and more appealing to
anyone looking at it
Something I could have done better in my research is look at a wider range of
magazines as I only looked at two companies covers instead of more, this
means that I only took the strengths off of a couple of covers instead of a
wider range of magazines. This would have made my product better
4. Planning
A strength of my planning is that it allowed me to experiment with what I
wanted to do for my final cover and double page layout. Doing this allowed
me to see what worked and also allowed me to get better at making these
products. This resulted in my final products being better then they would
have been had I not done any planning.
To improve my planning I could have perhaps done a bit more than I already
did. Doing this would have meant that my final product may have been higher
quality
5. Time Management
I did not manage my time well which resulted in me finishing my product past
the deadline resulting in me rushing my final project in order to get it
completed. If I had more time however or worked more efficiently in the time
I had my final product may have been completed to a higher quality
If I had more time to work on this project I would have fine tuned the designs
of my cover and double page layout in order to make it look better and more
professional
6. Technical Qualities
Title in

cover
Contents of the
magazine briefly
Bright colours in the
background to make
the cover stand out
7. Aesthetic Qualities
I feel like my work is creative as both pieces are completely unique. I
included bright colours throughout in order to make them appealing on
the eye. If I were to improve anything I would change the text on my
front cover in order to make it look better and more professional
8. Audience Appeal
I have appealed to my target audience with the content of my magazine
cover and layout. My target audience was football fans and to be more
specific teenagers. My product appeals to this target audience as my
products are football related and also the bright colours.
10. Feedback 1
• What did you like about the product?
I like the bright colours on the front cover and the photo used as
in the background.
The double page layout is nicely put together
• What improvements could have been made to the product?
The cover could have been more complex
11. Feedback 2
• What did you like about the product?
– The person looks really good on the cover, I like
how it looks on the front page
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
The double page lay out could look less crowded
than it does
12. Feedback 3
• What did you like about the product?
– I like how the cover and double page lay out
include lots of bright colours
• What improvements could have been made to
the product?
– The front cover could have more included on it as
it is pretty empty
13. Peer Feedback Summary
• What do you agree with from your peer
feedback?
– I agree with the comments about the colours used
on the cover and lay out
– The front cover being too simple
What do you disagree with from your feedback
I disagree with the comments about my double
page lay out being too overcrowded
14. Peer Feedback Summary
If I had to make changes to my product I would include more on my front cover,
I agree with the comments that there wasn’t enough on the front cover. I agree
with this because i believe that the front cover looks to basic. If I had more time
to work on the project I would have done this
