2. Process
I jokingly drew this,
wobbly, misshapen, hand
holding a snow globe, but
I ended up really liking it.
It feels like a small, indie
bands log/profile picture
and that’s exactly what I
was going for.
I tried a few different
variations, but I like the coral
one the most, although many
of my peers agreed with me, a
few liked the pink more
I designed this logo from the fronting of the
main logo, I thought this may be useful as a
video tag, the designs that go on the bottom
right of YouTube videos, therefore it would be
there for the bonting of the main logo, I
thought this may be useful as a video tag, the
designs that go on the bottom right of YouTube
videos, therefore it would be there for the
band's music videos and tour diaries, etc.
I like how contrasted these colours
are and I'm happy I chose this one
I like that it's not for definite that everyone will see that it's a snow globe, when I
showed this to a peer, they asked what it was, and it confused me because it's so
obviously a snow globe... to me. I like when things can be interpreted differently, and
although this drawing was just a silly doodle, I think it looks exactly how it should.
I changed the hues and saturation and ended up
with this, which was a close favourite, so
although I didn't end up sing it as the official
logo I do use it in other designs later.
3. Process
I considered some different
designs for this event poster
In this one I just
went black and
white, but I didn't
like how boring
and plain it was.
Then I tried putting
multiple of the album
covers under the
text, but that felt to
busy, and it took
away from the main
subject
So, I blended out the
album covers a little
and added some
circles/planets and
although I liked it a lot
better, it still didn't feel
right
So, then I blended out the
background even more and
it ended up making a dark
purple colour, then I added
some "stars" in the
background to be
somewhat cohesive with
the album cover. I also
added the place, because I
somehow forgot to do that
in all the previous designs.
I like that the final product is to the point and colourful but
not to jampacked of shapes and colours, it's simple but fun
and good enough to catch eyes.
4. Process
Dome
Hanging "Planets"
that represent each
song on the album
A dome, that is
projecting videos/photos
taken throughout the
bands creative process,
with the songs playing.
A place to write
your favourite lyrics,
something you
hope for, or somone
you miss, etc.
A polaroid wall for all
the viarors to take a
selfie commemorting
their time there
Photo wall
Words wall
Hanging
"planets"
Door/Entry
I thought I would doodle some
description pictures, so I didn't have to
over explain my idea. Here you can see
the layout of the room for the
interactive event and lower you can see
the things you can do and see within
the event.
I also thought that in the later hours of the
event there could be a listening party/sing a
long, where all the visators just sit down a nd
listen to the album all the way through and
sing along.
