2. • Primary Audience –
Male teenagers form the age 15-24 because
its based on superhero's which young kids
enjoy watching, because they like the idea of
pretending to be superhero’s but also has
strong male leads.
• Secondary Audience –
Adult males potentially parents of the
primary audience because they enjoyed
watching superhero's as kids but also because
they will watch them with their own children.
Audience Profile
3. Audience Profile
• Primary Audience –
Female children (0 – 14) because of the fantasy
magic that is involved in this film, but also still old
enough to understand what's going on in the film
because of the strong female lead this might
appeal to the older children as they are more
likely to understand that the lead character deals
with a lot f coping.
• Secondary Audience –
Adults both male and female (25-44) because
they will watch and enjoy it with their children or
even go out to buy it for them. It’s a family
friendly kind of film meaning parents would
enjoy it to even male parents because of the
comedy areas, like the reindeer and snowman.
4. Audience Profile
• Primary Audience –
Teenagers 15-24, mainly aimed at the male audience because of
the two strong male leads in the film. Teenagers might enjoy the
fun aspects of the film more than anything else because of the
comedy and the young male lead included, they might feel more
connected with that character.
• Secondary Audience
Male adults (25-44) because their more likely to watch the film
with them but also because their familiar with the genre and the
time it was released so they can relate to either of the male roles.
The comedy side of it will also appeal to them because they will
understand a lot more of it considering the time it was brought
out.
5. Hypodermic Needle
• Definition – This is when the audience immediately
believes what the media has said without giving it any initial
thought.
• Example – An example of this would be from the world war
and the use of propaganda against the Jews. They were thought
of as not worthy to live and because of the propaganda, many
people believed that they worthy of their life.
6. Uses and Gratifications Information
• information > I satisfy my curiosity by finding
information from websites such as the BBC news or
social media e.g. Instagram or Facebook.
7. Uses and Gratifications Personal
Identity
• Personal identity > I follow many influencers on social media because I like
to see what's its like to live a life of an influencer for a day. It gives us a
chance to step into the role of an influencer because they post about
products that most people cant afford or places we cant visit because of
the expenses, so it kind of pushes most people into becoming an
influencer themselves. An example of an influencer I follow is David
Dobrik.
8. Uses and Gratifications Integration and
Social Interaction
• Integration and social interaction > identifying with others has
its downfalls but it has upsides also, you can dive into the life
of an influencer and take ideas from them on how to build
yourself up to become an influencer or how to start a
business ect but its downfalls where are people taking it to far
and bragging about their new found social fame and only
wanting the fancy houses and cars and not thinking about
what it can do to young viewers.
9. Uses and Gratifications Entertainment
• Gratifications Entertainment > two very big entertainment platforms
people go to, to escape are either Netflix or YouTube. With Netflix you can
browse for fantasy films or sci-fi films to escape from reality and form your
own world. With YouTube is the same thing but this is more for enjoyment
purposes, for example you can get enjoyment out of watching comedy
clips or finding and listening to music.
10. Consumer Generated Content
• Example - Instagram
• What are the advantages to media producers?
It’s a photo/video sharing platform that benefits the media producers
because it’s a Widley used over the world.
• Why would the audience generate content?
People create content for either work purposes or just fun enjoyable content
for the viewers. For example influencer make a name for themselves via
Instagram whether that’s with pictures, businesses or videos.
11. Psychographics
• Belongers – • Achievers –
an example for an
achiever would be:
I've chosen this because
louis Vuitton is a well
known brand known for
being expensive so this
fits perfectly with
achievers because they
like to succeed and buy
expensive thing to show
off their success.
• Emulators –
An example of this
would be:
This product was a craze
for a while. Because once
all the influencers were
getting them everyone
was getting to fit in to
make themselves feel
welcome and give them a
sense of belonging.
An example of an emulator
would be:
Instead of shopping at the
designer shops people who are
trying to be achievers but aren’t
quiet there will shop at local
stores and buy nock off versions
of the designer product, to make
them feel/appear successful.
12. Psychographics
• Balanced
An example for
balanced would be:
This is a good example for
balanced because it’s a
contribution to society, 2%
of the influencers or
celebrities who give back
will fit in this category
because even though they
earn a lot of money they
still giveback into the
community to make it
better.
• Needs driven
An example for needs
driven would be:
• Socially conscious
A – an example for a
would be:
B - an example for b
would be:
Anything that is limited
for a certain amount of
time is a god example
for this because it gives
them a set time to buy
or order things before
it either stops selling or
goes back to the
original prices. This
group is for the people
who act on impulse or
feel like they need to
buy that certain
product.
This group wont
ask for anything
in return for the
help and money
they give. These
people give back
to society and ask
nothing in return,
trying to make to
world better for
others.
These types of
people have a
strong opinion
about things,
they tend to stick
to themselves
and are against
the idea of giving
to the world.
They see nothing
but mass
destruction for
the society.
