4. The colours used on the page link
together more than on the first task
as I have combined them together
and considered them more than I did
previously. On the main task I have
also added more articles to the page
which make it look more full up but
not overly busy. These don’t take
attention away from the focus where
as having large amounts of empty
space would. Another thing that I
have improved on is making the page
appear less flat by adding edits that
fit better with the page and don’t
look as though things are badly stuck
on, these edits make the page look
more professional and shows my full
understanding of how to use
Photoshop.
My photography skills have also
improved over these tasks with
considering heights and spacing more
and what feelings or impressions they
create. In my main task I have used
people who are all of a similar height
which stops one person standing out
from the others and by having them the
same it keeps the page looking more
balanced where as in the first task the
large height difference makes the page
look odd and unprofessional. My
masthead designs have improved since
the first task also as I feel my first one
looks to thin and boring, its sizing is to
dramatic against the rest of the page
which makes it look unbalanced again,
where as on my main task it fits on the
page much more naturally as it isn’t to
big but still stands out.
