The Game
The Angelo State football team will host Tarleton State in its final scheduled home game
of the season on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. at LeGrand Stadium at 1st Community Credit
Union Field. The game will be carried locally on KWFR 101.9FM The Fire with Jeremy
Bryant (play-by-play) and Daniel Ramirez (color analyst) on the call.
Tarleton State
The Texans are 2-5 on the season and 1-4 in the LSC. Tarleton State is coming off an 84-
47 win over Oklahoma Panhandle State. Cary Fowler is in his sixth season at the helm
and has a 29-30 overall record.
The Series
The Rams trail the overall series 16-15. The last time ASU beat TSU in San Angelo was
in 2000. Tarleton State has won six straight games in San Angelo. ASU defeated the
Texans for the first time since 2000 last year in Stephenville. The Rams are 11-7 all-time
versus Tarleton State at home.
The Seniors
The Angelo State football team will recoginze the program’s 15 seniors. The group
includes Brett Rasberry, Kyle Washington, Talon Smith, Ryan Byrd, Dominique McCoy,
Ryan Clapsaddle, Jamie Thomas, Sam Fowler, Jerel Walters, Zane Hernandez, Matthew
Gholston, John Siliga, Jeremy Johnson, Clayston Callicutt and Raymond Coen.
LSC Playoffs
The Rams have a few scenarios before knowing who their next opponent will be. If the
Rams beat Tarleton State and ENMU beats WT, ASU will be the No. 4 seed and play Texas
A&M-Commerce. If the Rams win and WT wins, ASU, ENMU and WT will be tied for third
and a coin flip will decide the seeds. If both ASU and WT lose, the Rams, WT and TSU
would all be tied for the fourth spot and a coin flip would be decide the seeds.
No. 1 Total Offense
The Rams maintained its No. 1 national rank in total offense with 505 yards versus ENMU.
ASU is averaging 544.8 yards per game. The Rams have gained at least 500 yards of total
offense in six games this season. The 557 yards versus TAMUK was the fourth highest of
the season for the Rams.
