1. Practice Paper
Students: 8-9
Time: class around 60 minutes
Topic: Moods
Participants: Moggia Giovanna, Sala Yohanna, Zabala Ana Belén.
Song: https: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4WNrvVjiTw
Purposes:
Our aim is to teach the vocabulary regarding moods. The idea is to make students recognize
different feelings while listening to a song; at the same time they are expected to imitate the
actions showed in the video, for example: when you are happy, clap your hands. We would also
like to focus on the group’s active participation.
Objectives:
Students will be able to:
• Identify the different moods and its pronunciation in English.
• Make use of body enactment through TPR activities to remember and activate the
new lexis learnt.
• Engage in singing a song while imitating the cartoons.
• Expressing condition through the zero conditional
Activities:
• To begin, (and during the whole class) we will make use of flashcards on one hand, to introduce
the tasks. Firstly, before the children watch the video and hear the song “If you´re happy”, we will
make use of other flashcards in order to review previous contents.
• After they have seen the video once, we will provide them with a first activity, in which students
will have to match the different moods with their correspondent action. For example: “If you are
happy clap your hands”
2. • Once the students finish the activities, the teacher will name some of the students to provide the
answers and she will write them on the blackboard for all to check.
• Then, the teacher names a student to volunteer in the next activity and passes him/her the
microphone, while another student picks up a piece of paper from a box. This piece of paper says
what the student has to do, for example: to put a big smile in his/her dace to show happiness. The
student with the microphone has to guest to which emotion he/she is referring to.
• At the end of the class, we will give them homework in which they will have empty circles and
they will have to draw the emotions written below.
Resources Needed:
• Photocopies, flashcards, computer, loudspeakers, microphone, video file, box, worksheets.
