TOPIC: Weather – Seasons - CLIL.
CLASS Nº 14
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
• Students will be able to talk about the weather, asking and answering questions
about it, with the provided structure: “What´s the weather like?” “It´s
sunny/rainy/cloudy, etc.” With the purpose of expressing through new vocabulary
what´s the weather like and which type of weather they prefer.
• Students will be able to understand and produce listening, speaking, reading and
writing macro-skills.
ROUTINES:
• Greeting song, checking of the attendance, choosing an assistant, asking about
the date and about the weather.
2. TEST
The test will count with three activities for pupils to solve. In exercise 1) “What’s the
weather like?” pupils will have to write the sentences in the correct places and answer the
question: What’s the weather like today? Then, in exercise 2) “Seasons” students will have
to circle the correct option. Finally, in exercise 3) first in A) they will have to match the
different items within the Water Cycle and second in B) they will have to fill in the blanks
with the four processes that correspond to the Water Cycle.
Before giving the students the test, the teacher will give a short explanation of the whole
test and then she will provide them with a Glossary that will help pupils with the
vocabulary of the test. While they work on their tasks individually, the teacher will go
around checking if someone needs help.
