2. Then, using the Rectangle Tool I
highlighted the width and height of
the page and filled it with the colour
black.
Starting a new document I un-ticked
‘facing pages’ and began to create
my replica of my magazine cover.
3. Using the Rectangle Frame Tool I
was able to create the size I
wanted for my picture to be
framed within.
Going to ‘File’ and then place
allowed me to place the picture
within in the box I created.
-This had to be used carefully
because if you wanted to make the
picture smaller you would have to
hold down the Shift key in order
for the picture to not look
stretched
4. Slowly but surely I started to gradually add the text I needed to
replicate. This was challenging as looking for the exact font
that the magazine had used, the colouring and the placement
of each picture and text was the most consuming part.
5. Using the ‘Add Anchor Point Tool’ I was able to highlight
around the image to the points that needed to overlap
the text.
Although this did work I felt that it is something that
needs to be improved on.
6. I constantly referred back to the original magazine cover so
that I was able to replicate my version.
7. This was the final stage where I was adding the final
touches to complete the final version.
