Front cover 3 production

2. After opening up my chosen
photo, I imported my
chosen photo into a blank
A4 portrait template.

3. Next I added my masthead
to the top of my page and
made it white.

4. Next I used the magnetic
lasso tool to crop the top of
the models head and bring
it in front of the mast head.

5. Next I added my main
cover line which is
“Balancing Work, Study
and Play…” in a light blue
text.

6. Next I adjusted the colour
contrasts to add a more
tanned effect to the model.

7. Then I started to add my
cover lines around my front
cover page. For these I used
a dark blue text.

8. Next I changed the colour
of my cover lines to white to
make them more visible.

9. Next I added drop shadows
and stroke effects to the
cover lines to make them
stand out more. I also
lowered my main cover
line.

10. The next step was adding
sublines to the cover lines
on my front cover. I wrote
these in a dark blue font.

11. Next I imported a barcode
onto my front cover and
shrunk it down to size and
then positioned it in the
bottom right corner.

12. Next I added the price of
my magazine as well as the
issue number in the same
places as on my previous
magazine covers.

13. Next I adjusted the
brightness and the contrast
of the photo.

14. Next I used smart sharpen
on my front cover image to
sharpen it up in some
areas.

15. Finally, I added my main
subline which is “Top 10
tips for organizing your
workload”.
