Time Theft Research Papers
The Time Theft Time Tech, a company devoted to the creation of time traveling devices, has just
announced that their new Time Bracelet has been stolen. The suspected thieves are a terrorist
organization based in Greenland. The government has been unable to track down the device s exact
whereabouts. The terrorists have caused chaos throughout the whole world and governments of
multiple countries have failed to stop them so far. On their remote island in the pacific ocean, Time
Tech created the time bracelet. The time bracelet is just like their Time Computer that they released in
2115 but smaller and has a longer battery life despite its small size. Once again it is like their Time

Unfortunately no one got a good look at his face but the thief was wearing a black Nike hoodie with
dark blue jeans and the new shoes the Sky Hoppers and got away in a 2120 Chevy Impala but no one

from the future including, the bubonic plague, an army of combat ready robots, and blueprints for the

Leading Indicators
The assigned readings for Unit 2 (Chapters 2, 3 and 6) cover the effects of workplace accidents,
accident theories, and workers compensation. In professional safety practice, the topics covered in this
unit generally include a discussion of safety metrics . Measuring safety performance is a mixed bag of
calculating and reviewing data associated with lagging indicators and leading indicators . By
definition, lagging indicators are output oriented, easy to measure and calculate, but not improvable
since they are measures of what already occurred (i.e., losses in the form of accidents, property
damage, or loss of life). In contrast, leading indicators are input oriented and represent preventative
measures taken to improve overall safety and reduce the occurrence of incidents and injuries.
Lagging indicators allude to the health of a company s safety program and performance in the form of
past accident and incident statistics, such as lost workers compensation costs, injury frequency, injury
severity, OSHA recordables, near misses, spills/releases or Experience Modification Rate (EMR). In
general, lagging indicators have been traditionally used to indicate trends toward better safety
compliance and adherence to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Leading indicators are proactive activities that are aimed at identifying and correcting hazards to aid in
preventing adverse events, looking for and correcting areas of weakness in a safety program (i.e.,
training, communication, etc.) and trying to eliminate risk through preemptive inspections, audits and
employee attitudes and perceptions. Leading indicators are focused on future safety performance and

Abortion Is The Destruction Of A Fetus
In this essay, I will discuss my position on abortion, how it has changed, and how it compares to
others more established positions. Before I can begin this, however, I must first discuss the terms that
will be used and their definitions. For the purposes of this essay an abortion is the destruction of a
fetus at any point in development. A fetus constitutes a fertilized egg. At the moment the egg and
sperm converge, the product is entitled a fetus. Prior to this course, my opinion on abortion was firm,
but underdeveloped. I had a position that stated abortion to be immoral but acceptable in some cases.
By this, I meant that it was always wrong, but could be understood in some cases, and thus, somehow,
less of a wrongness. I see now the major issues with this argument and will use this essay to better
clarify my position, and I will find myself aligning very closely with the views of Don Marquis, as
portrayed by his article entitled An Argument that Abortion is Wrong. I will expound upon these views
as they are shared by mine, but will also cite portions from writings by Judith Thomson and Mary
Anne Warren. I find that my position was developed by using terms and ideas from these three
authors, but I will also discuss how their writings and views conflict with mine. My position has been
altered by new knowledge, and new incorporation of different circumstances. Prior to this class, I had
an opinion that abortion was wrong, but it was okay if the mother was raped or if

The Uncanny, A Freudian Term, By Sigmund Freud
The uncanny , a Freudian term, is used to describe a situation or feeling that feels familiar and foreign
at the same time. Through the writings and ideas of Ernst Jentech, and Sigmund Freud, it is defined.
Between them the uncanny is described as ...intellectual uncertainty; so that the uncanny would
always, as it were, be something one does not know one s way about in. The better oriented in his
environment a person is, the less readily will he get the impression of something uncanny in regard to
the objects and events in it. In Freud s essay he states that the uncanny is that class of the terrifying
which leads back to something long known to us, once very familiar . Being part of the terrifying, the
uncanny is undefinable as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Predominantly known for his sculpture, installation, video, neon, and performance; his subject a
strong focus on the human and an artist s condition. Themes of language, process and the body

mixed emotions as he explores extreme differences that we as human beings experience and relate
with, creating a commonality that automatically connects with anyone participating in Nauman s
work. The uncanny and the abject are two words that could be used when talking about and
experiencing some of Bruce Nauman s works. The unsettling nature of Nauman s work forces us to
look at things that maybe we try not to. His video works tend to be focused on the body as a material
and the truths which are told from this. In his video, Poke in the Eye/Nose/Ear 3/8/94 Edit (fig.2),
Nauman himself does exactly what the title says. The video is zoomed in on the specific facial feature
and projected large onto the wall; it is in slow motion and on loop. By zooming in Nauman eradicates
interpretations of gender and race and therefore only revealing the bodies truths in this uncanny action
of poking oneself in the eye. The video itself is a little irritating and unsettling to watch, as we can
only imagine this action being performed on our ourselves but it is amplified by the slowed down time

El Nino Fidencio the Mythical Curandero
El Nino Fidencio The Mythical Curandero Throughout the book Curanderismo: Mexican American
Folk Healing Trorrer and Chavira make mention of el Niño Fidencio in countless areas of the book. It
is mentioned that one of the most important spiritualist movement is based on the life teaching, and
the spirit of a famous young folk healer (now dead) from northern Mexico el Niño Fidencio (1997:35).
Even today el Niño is an important figure in many aspects of the belief system and practice associated
with the Curanderismo folk healing. History plays a major role in culture when it comes to
establishing religion and medical practices, which in the case of the Mexican Curanderos many times

This has created a sort of sub culture or cult in which those who have the ability to become a medium
sometimes choose to spend their lives living and working in such temples.
The centros are staffed by trance mediums who, often... go into trance, and (in their words) let the
spirit of el Nino descend on them, their bodies forming a link between the material and spiritual
realms of existence. Through this linkage, the immortal spirit of el Nino performs cure, does
consultations, even predicts the outcome of future events for members of his cult (1997: 35).
Followers of Fidencio and other spirits tend to have much more religious beliefs due to the fact that
they are wholly focused on doing their work through the guidance, protection and possession by that
saint. Although it is interesting to note that people consider the curenderos to be a saints because of the
connection that they have with the seen unseen realms associated with the gifts that mediums possess.
Not all mediums choose to become part of a cult dedicating themselves and their work to the will of a
saint who will ultimately work through them. Others might choose to work alone, some for profit and
some solely for personal growth knowledge and gratification as is mentioned in chapter six

Persuasive Essay On A Flat Tire
Suppose you are driving to your local convenience store, then suddenly, you hit a sharp object and
your tire blows. What do you do? Do you panic and call roadside assistance, or are you lucky enough
to have the knowledge to replace the tire? It is surprising that many people have no idea how to
change a flat tire. It is a shame that more people do not know how to perform such a simple and useful
task. Learning this skill will help you become more independent and get you back on the road quicker.
Luckily, it is not that hard to learn. If you follow these simple steps, you will have a new tire on your
car in approximately eight to ten minutes.

Next, you will loosen the lug nuts do not take the lug nuts completely off the hub assembly and begin
to place the jack. You will need to place the jack under a secure place on your specific car. You can
find this information in the owner s manual or by calling your dealership. After you have gotten the
jack positioned correctly, you will begin to lift the car. There are two types of jacks: a hydraulic jack
and a scissor jack. If you are using a scissor jack, you will insert the rod, and then you will begin to
crank it. If you are using a hydraulic jack, you will simply pump the handle up and down with long
even strokes. After the car is lifted, you place your jack stands in a safe position and start to lower the
jack. If at any point you feel like the stands are not holding the car correctly get all body parts out
from under the car and use the jack again to readjust the stands. Now that your car is safely positioned,
you will take the lug nuts completely off the wheel and take the flat tire off. You are now halfway
done with the changing process.
The last two steps are very challenging. But do not panic, you can complete this process. Now, you
will align the spare tire with the lug bolts and place your lug nuts over the bolts. You can now take
your lug wrench and tighten the lug nuts; you need to tighten your lug nuts in a star pattern instead of
a circular pattern. This ensures the wheel will not rotate while tightening your lug nuts. This step

Summary Of Margaret Atwood s The Victory Burlesk
Madeleine Davies had once said that Margaret Atwood s female bodies are inevitably coded bodies
that tell the story of the subject s experience within a political economy that seeks to consume them,
convert them into consumers in turn, shrink them, neutralize them, silence them, and contain them
physically or metaphorically. (Davies 60). In Margaret Atwood s short story, The Victory Burlesk,
Atwood is showing just that; Atwood is demonstrating how a woman is shrunken, silenced, and
contained. This short story is bringing attention to how people feel shame for women in realization of
reality, and how there is a focus on the Good Woman and the Bad Woman , how Bad Woman are
represented.
The Victory Burlesk is a story in which a woman is on stage and reveals herself as an elderly woman,
putting on a show for one another to watch, a show in which people in the audience began to feel
shame about. I could feel shame washing through me. (Atwood 20 21), there is a woman on the stage,
making herself vulnerable for everyone to see, and yet others are shameful in this situation. Why do
others feel shame? Because there is a realization that this woman is real. That that is a actual body up
there, one that no one wants to sexualize anymore due to her age and appearance. But also because
they are not properly showing the representation of how women are shown on stage. Difference can
make one feel uncomfortable, to the point they feel shame for another person. It was seen as if

What Is The Australian Landscape
A poem is a way to escape, a way to feel something you ve never felt, see something you ve never
seen, and go somewhere you ve never gone. Poets have always used their language, tone, and devices
to transport their reader to see a new and different perspective on key aspects of society. One distinct
example of this, is the depiction of the Australian landscape which is expressed from varying
perspectives in different poems, including John Tranter s Backyard, Jill Jones s Transformations in a
City Block, and Dorothea Mackellar s My Country. Tranter has expressed the suburban scenery, with
which a majority of Australians are familiar with, as well as a realistic life and the idea of living
simply. Jones, as well as Tranter, shows the real environment in which most Australians live, the city,
contrary to the belief of many. On the other hand, My Country illustrates the ideal and well known
Australian landscape of the bush and natural environment, which is not a completely accurate
representation of Australians and how we live. Nevertheless these poems work together to form a
cohesive anthology concerning the different perspectives of Australia and its scenery, revealing the
duality of this countries landscape and a contrast between the ideal and real environment in which
Australians live.
The poem Backyard conveys the notion of the simple yet chaotic life that is found when living in the
landscape of suburban Australia. This blank verse poem of seven stanzas has slight rhythm, no rhyme
and has utilised enjambment throughout. These aspects contribute to the sense of reality and chaos
created as the poem sound closer to normal speech, as though you re just have a conversation with the
narrator. The poem follows the events that occur and environment of a family s backyard, discussing
the various aspects with which most Australian s would be able to relate with to some degree and
overall telling the reader to live life simply. Moreover, the use of the rhetorical question Is that a fifties
home movie, or the real thing? makes the audience think about what the true Australian landscape
really is. People outside of Australia don t tend to associate this country with the suburbs but this
statement makes them

Research Paper On The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire
Tripti Pandey Mrs. Dillon English 7/8 12 April 2017 The Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire As time
goes by, everything is evolving: from machines to people. However, evolution does not simply occur,
it is caused. On March 25, 1911, the triangle shirtwaist factory (brown building) burned down, taking
146 innocent people s lives with it (Fire, par. 3). These lives could have been saved by the two owners
of the Brown Building, Max Blanck and Isaac Harris. If they had just taken a few basic precautions,
such as supplying a sufficient amount of water to different parts of the building, these people may
have been spared (Sweatshops and Strikes, par. 2). The deaths of these innocent workers provoked an
uprising towards the factories. The Triangle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For example, workers of any age were permitted, as long as they worked (Staff, par. 2). Before leaving
the building, workers had to pass through the only backdoor, which was down a narrow passageway,
which was supposed to prevent robberies (Staff, par. 2). There were also many safety hazards that the
owners slyly kept away from the eyes of the City Council members. There were only two slim fire
escapes while there should have been three wide ones, and there were only a couple buckets of water
given to throw at the event of a fire(Leap for Life, Leap of Death, par. 6). At the time of the fire, the
fire department realized that there was a lot more that the owners could have done to prevent this
accident. As an after effect of the fire, many rules were put into place in New York to prevent fires
from happening in similar circumstances. A major law that was put into place is the Occupational
Safety and Health act or OSHA (Korasick, par. 1). This law states that employees working in factories
should not be exposed to anything harmful, should not have terrible working conditions, and that
workplaces of factory employees need to be sanitary (Epa, 1). If the fire had not occurred, factories
would still, under many circumstances, be

The Pros And Cons Of The Black Sabbath
Black Sabbath are a very controversial band which was criticized because of the messages they were
said to send. As Graholm claims in his article Ritual Black Metal Popular Music as Occult Mediation
and Practice , Black Sabbath had a certain flirtation with darker occult themes, apparent in the name of
the band itself as well as in image and lyrics (Granholm 13). Their name was one of the reasons why
they were considered devilish. Nevertheless, their original name was Earth and the choice of Black
Sabbath was only a compromise, because there was another band with that name in England. Another
controversy regards where the name came from. Some people argue that it derives from a movie
called Black Sabbath , and there was also a book written by Wheatle with this name. Their first album
did not refer to Satan at all, but the record label made it look like it did with the appearance of the
Satanist Anton LaVey. The British release of the album featured an upside down cross inside the cover.

The anger and the obscure tones seem to be part of it since it was born. However, in this modern
society the stereotypes that link heavy metal to Satanism should already have been overcome. Indeed,
it was more understandable back in the 1970s when it first appeared, while nowadays people should
be able to see that it is a type of music just like others. Listening to music is not the cause of massacres
such as the Columbine High School Massacre, which was certainly a terrible event and people should
reflect about it, but it should not be connected to music. The real reflections should regard social
contexts which may influence people, or the need that some people have to create turmoil just to feel

The Role Of Mary Warren In The Crucible
Mary Warren, like many of the other characters in Arthur Miller s The Crucible, shows great internal
conflict with fear through their actions that play a large role in the Salem Witch Trials. Mary Warren is
a very shy, naive and lonely seventeen year old girl. Although she has a clear sense of honesty and
guilt, she winds up playing a significant role in the trials. Mary Warren does not show up in the play as
much as the other characters, but Arthur Miller uses her to portray a bigger and more important idea.
Through Mary Warren, Arthur Miller shows how people are greatly manipulated by fear which holds a
substantial amount of control over them and their actions, affecting the events of mass hysteria. Like
many others, one of Mary s greater fears includes being accused of witchcraft. Mary Warren is a ...

This introduces the second critical fear of Mary s; the fear of her peers. When Mr.Proctor demands
Mary to confess about the real reason for all this hysteria, she cries: I cannot charge murder on

surely turn against her and accuse her of witchcraft. Although Mary is the oldest in the group, Abigail
gains control over her by using Mary s fear to her advantage. Another example, while speaking with
Mr.Proctor after the arrest of Goody Proctor, Mary exclaims: I cannot, they ll turn on me (80). There
are multiple moments where Mary wants to put a stop to all this nonsense but the fear overpowers her.

this fear controlling her, the outcome results in Mary reframing significant information which could

Impact Of The Italian Renaissance
After the decline and disappearance of the Roman Empire, the Italian Renaissance was introduced to
the European culture. The Italian Renaissance was the revival of the Greek and Roman cultures in
forms of art, education, and literature. The Renaissance originally began in Florence, Italy during the
time of 14 A.D and eventually began to expand throughout western and northern Europe in 15 A.D.
The rebirthing of these ancient cultures brought much awareness and knowledge to the Italian society
and resulted in change in their perspective toward the world and their culture.

The Angry Black Man Analysis
The Angry Woman, The Angry Arab, The Angry Black Man. These are labels given to people in today
s society who for speaking out on injustice in the world. Is this fair? Are these individuals out of line
for getting angry at injustice? To explore this topic we will take use an example from Nora Berenstain
s essay Epistemic Exploitation, of a woman named Summer who believes her department of
Philosophy had sexist biased in the decision to reward fellowships to only male graduate students. She
also points out the department is known for covering up issues of sexual harassment and harboring
perpetrators of sexual harassment, some of which she has personally experienced. When confiding in a
male cohort, Dean, he says her accounts are a misrepresentation of the department, and that there are,
only a few bad apples . Likewise, he minimizes Summer s points and says she is just upset that she did
not win a fellowship from the department. If Summer were to at this point get angry at the situation,
she would be justified in her anger because of her perspective in the situation, and Dean as a member
of the oppressor group is in the wrong for trying to discredit and perpetuate the gender oppressive
environment. To begin, we should discuss two opposing views on the aptness of anger. A classic stoic
argument on anger comes from the first century roman philosopher Seneca, in his book On Anger. In
his first extract of his book Seneca describes how anger is uncontrollable and therefore useless
(Seneca, 101). To support this, in the second extract, Seneca rebukes the argument that anger can be
used as motivation, by stating that he believes virtue and moral outrage at injustice can provide
enough motivation to make change (Seneca, 103). Further, in his third extract, Seneca argues that
anger should not be used as motivation because he believes the very nature of anger is precarious,
therefore untrustworthy. Rather, humans have been equipped with reason for both foreseeing issues,
and to use as motive for change (Seneca, 104). Thus, Seneca says gaining control and overcoming
ones emotions is the only way to live a productive in making change to moral injustice in the world.
In contrast to Seneca, Amia Srinivasan has an

A Tale Of Two Cities And The French Revolution
A Tale of Two Cities, was a story about sacrifice and revenge before and during revolutionary France.
Charles Dickens thought that if things did not change, then a violent revolution in England, similar to
the French Revolution, was possible or in the future. In A Tale of Two Cities , Charles Dickens
symbolizes the discord that the English and the French faced as he tears apart the two systems of their
society.
Charles Dickens, a brilliant author back in the 1850 s, wrote A Tale of Two Cities in order to describe
the similarities between the forces that led to the revolution and the oppression and unrest occurring in
England. The French revolution impacts history because the time period in which it takes place is
before and during the French revolution. The French revolution signifies the essence of a rapid
change, nevertheless, this change tore France right at the heart, where all the government was
functioning . France was torn apart because of the rebellions of the Bourgeoisie, against the rich
aristocrats, consequently the monarch Louis 14th. Charles Dickens went further. He conveys the idea
of the French revolution through the use of social reform along with its inevitable impact on the
individuals affected by the waves of change. Throughout history, the road to revolution is described as
an obsession to the minority group such as the American revolution in the late 18th century. It is
dangerous when a group goes down this road because the obstacle up ahead

The Model Of Behavior Change
The primary objective of this paper is discuss the Transtheoretical Model of behavior change and its
application in healthcare settings, and discuss the strength and weakness of the Model. Number of
theories and analytical models were described that helps us to understand how people modify their

The Transtheoretical model (TTM) of change which is also known as the the stages of change model,
first described by Prochaska and associates (1983) is widely used theory to explain the behavior
change. Unlike other models of behavior change, which focus on social or biological influences, The

behavioral processes. These covert and overt process needs to be implemented to achieve desired

Marquise De Merteuil
There is something about going to a live theater that just offers that something that you can t really
experience when watching a movie. The uncertainty and the live aspects of the performances makes
you feel part of the story in a way instead of being the outsider that s just watching it. Everything is
bigger, louder, better in a live theater and even having rea stage actors staring at you instead of a
camera, you get a sense of excitement that makes the whole experience enjoyable. I certainly got that
feeling when I got a chance to sit down and watch Les Liaisons Dangereuses at the center stage.
According to the Center Stage website, the plot summary reads Two French aristocrats, Marquise de

For me I don t have an inherent problem with characters that are just plain awful, I can appreciate
them as such but in most cases the way these types of characters are written doesn t always stand out
to me and in worse cases the narrative tries to force me to sympathize with them instead of letting me
feel for myself. Looking at Merteuil character on paper, you d almost want to describe her as brutal
and maybe even unsympathetic yet Douglas manages to give layers to this character that weren t just
an evil hard ass but showed a human side to her that had pain and a soul that was damaged while
maintaining that fierce persona. One of my personal favorite moments from the play was when she
explains to Valmont that main source of power women of her time have the withholding of sex while

the design for the play was very beautiful. I ve been to other plays set in a similar time period and
sometimes the rococo fashion and scenery can easily make everything look tacky and gaudy but
thankfully this wasn t the case. One thing that stood out to me the most was the square pattern on the
floor that looked like a chessboard. It didn t click with me at first but after I had time to reflect after
the play I thought about how that may have been a clever symbol about how this is all just part of a

Essay on Hip Hip
The Introduction
Hip hop as a ding an sich is marked by some confusion. Consider the name; is it quot;hip hop, quot;
quot;hip hop quot; or quot;hiphop quot;? You will see all three used in titles in this bibliography. Hip
hop is, at the same time, a cultural phenomenon that developed in the late 70 s in the projects in
Brooklyn and the Bronx, and a musical style from that phenomenon. Nevertheless, hip hop has
become a pervasive element of popular culture, as witnessed by this bibliography. There are hip hop
exercise videos, children s books as well as books, magazines, magazine articles and theses about it.
Before we get to the bibliography, a brief hip hop history is in order. Hip hop began in the mid to late
70 s, but its roots ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He participated in many early quot;battles, quot; or competitions between DJs and MCs. In addition to
rapping, these battles were decided on who had the more interesting collection of breaks to play.
Afrika Bambatta s breaks were drawn from many genres, including rock, rhythm amp; blues, mambo,
German disco and calypso.4 This aspect in hip hop, incorporating quot;found sounds quot; (which can
include recorded samples of music by other groups in addition to voices or ambient sounds) has led to
lawsuits when the groups involved failed to credit their sources.5
Another early hip hop innovator was DJ Grandmaster Flash. He extended Kool Herc s break beat
deejaying by pre cueing records to match the songs. This meant there was a much smoother transition
between songs. matching songs. Indeed many of the recordings in the discography identify the number
of beats per minute for each song, enabling a DJ to match songs on this basis.
Scratching, an important part of hip hop music was developed by Grand Wizard Theodore. This
technique involves moving a record back and forth underneath the needle, creating a scratching,
percussive sound. This technique has led some to claim that hip hop has led to the emergence of the
DJ as musician, calling the turntable used in this way a percussion instrument.6

E Voting And Its Effect On Voting
Introduction
E voting is an e government concept that uses the Internet to allow people to vote. The use of e voting
is usually applied by countries and companies. In companies, this use of e voting can be used in
shareholder meetings or other instances where it is not physically possible for all individuals with a
vote to be present.
E voting is a new concept that has recently been used by countries that are not willing to dedicate the
necessary funds to provide paper votes. The use of e voting eliminates the use of paper and ensures
that voter turnout will be higher as it will eliminate issues with travelling to the voting venue and
waiting in any lines that may occur. In addition, the process of tallying votes will be far faster since e
voting will eliminate the manual counting of votes as well as issues such as the vote counting machine
malfunctioning. E votes will be counted using software designed to tally votes.
The concept of e voting has been analyzed to ensure that it is a fair process. The fairness of this new
type of voting will be critical to its acceptance. However, there is a portion of the population which
feels that the system can be easily manipulated and argue that the Internet is vulnerable to hacker
attacks, something that can lead to an invalid and unfair result. With advanced technology, it should be
relatively easy for IT experts to devise ways that will ensure that the system will not be hacked.

Summary Of The Overcoat By Nikolai Gogol
In a time of large, corrupt, and ineffective bureaucracy, Nikolai Gogol looks provide a humorous
perspective on life in Tsarist Russia. Through both The Nose and The Overcoat, Gogol reveals his true
nature as a comical humorist with the intention of giving readers a laugh but also of mocking human
vanity. From the very beginning of The Overcoat, it becomes clear the story has a comedic nature.
While explaining to the reader the touchiness of departments in Russia, Gogol gives the district police
chief as an example: He plainly demonstrated that all the imperial institutions were going to the dogs,
and that the Czar s sacred name was being taken in vain; and in proof he appended to the complain a
romance, in which the district chief of police is made to appear about once in every ten pages, and
sometimes in a downright drunken condition (Gogol 1). The scenario Gogol describes is one of
absurdity. How could someone get so worked up over a book that has no intent of offending them? No
normal person would ever become so hysterical over a piece of literature that indirectly offends them.
Claiming that the whole political system of Russia is being destroyed and that royalty had been
disgraced because of a simple character in a book that resembles oneself is preposterous. To a rational
mind, the police chief s over emotional reaction is clearly insane, as a normal person does not have the
narcissism to take minute details personally. This laughable situation

Max Weber’s and Mircea Eliade’s Disagreement with...
Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, and Sigmund Freud were intelligent theorists that tried to reduce religion
to simple explanations. Marx explained religion as a phenomenon created by economic position meant
to give reason to people s social economic position and thus provide them satisfaction, while they are
promised salvation in paradise. Durkheim reduced religion as something created by the social
interaction of people, thus making religion a social phenomenon, in which people interact and have
rites. Freud, on the other hand, explained religion as being neurotic due to people s obsession with
security alongside the father. All in all, these three theorists attempted to reduce religion to its basic
elements, which they later used to explain primitive life, and the reason for the continuity of religion
in modern life. However, Mircea Eliade and Max Weber did not agree with the views. Weber and
Eliade determined that the reductionist view did not give enough insight into religion, because they
focused on primitive culture to say what religion was, information was confined to only western
civilization, and in Freud s case religion was neurotic. Thus, Weber and Eliade rejected the
reductionist views of Durkheim, Marx, and Freud.
In Max Weber s refute of the three reductionists his ideal types point of view is applicable, which are
formalized general categories. The meaning behind the ideal types is that they helped to create a
framework, by which cases can be brought into an

Poe s The Raven
The Raven is the most acclaimed of Poe s sonnets, remarkable for its melodic and emotional qualities.
The meter of the lyric is for the most part trochaic octameter, with eight pushed unstressed two
syllable feet per lines. Consolidated with the prevailing ABCBBB end rhyme plot and the successive
utilization of inward rhyme, the trochaic octameter and the hold back of nothing more and nevermore
give the lyric a melodic lilt when perused so anyone might hear. Poe additionally underscores the O
sound in words, for example, Lenore and nevermore with a specific end goal to underline the
despairing and desolate sound of the lyric and to set up the general air. At long last, the reiteration of
nevermore gives a roundabout sense to the lyric and adds to what Poe named the solidarity of impact,
where each word and line adds to the bigger significance of the sonnet.

Under Italian Law two main types of company may be incorporated: S.p.A. (Società per Azioni) and
S.r.l. (Società a responsabilità limitata). S.p.A. is the normal form for larger companies (joint stock
companies). An S.p.A. may be listed on the Stock Exchange although the absolute majority are not. It
is however necessary for a company to be an S.p.A. in order to be listed thereon. S.r.l. in practice
corresponds to a closely held limited company. It is the kind of structure which is more suited to small
tomedium sized enterprises where limited liability is required. This is by far the most common type of
company used by Italian entrepreneurs and that most frequently chosen by foreign parent companies
when setting up their subsidiaries in Italy. The governance structure of corporations is twotired: the
managing board (consiglio di amministrazione) has the function of ratifying decisions that have been
previously taken by the controlling group, and is supplemented by a board of auditors (collegio

Critic As Host
J. Hillis Miller s theoretical essay A Critic as Host demonstrates a deconstructive reading s
understanding of how a citation acts within an extraneous text, and whether the reading of it could be
univocal or equivocal. Miller introduces the relationship between a citation and the criticism it dwells
in as equal to the relationship of a parasite and host, where he defines the parasite as actively
consuming the host. However, Miller does not initially confirm which text is equivalent to parasite
and which to host, rather he explores this relationship by building on the structuralist idea of the
binary, the idea that the meaning of an object or idea is held in place by its opposition or counterpart.
Miller uses the foundation of structuralism

Nefertiti Research Paper
For over a decade Nefertiti, wife of the Pharaoh Akhenaten originally known as Amenhotep IV, was an
influential woman in the Bronze Age. Her image and name were renowned throughout Upper and
Lower Egypt. Suddenly, after the end of the reign of Akhenaten, Nefertiti disappeared from the royal
family, vanishing so completely that it was as if she had never been. No known record survives to
detail her death; no found monument serves to represent the mourning of her death. To this day her
expiration remains a conundrum.
She was the beloved wife of heretic king Akhenaten, who defied customs by practicing monotheism
and by elevating Nefertiti far above the role of subservient consort. Her image has enraptured viewers
ever since a limestone bust unearthed in modern day Amarna went on display in Berlin in 1924. But
few facts are proven about this woman. As Akhenaten dismissed the plethora of old gods, distressing
many of his subjects, he had a strong female figure in Nefertiti to ease the supernatural rigorousness of

MLB breaking balls can easily be the hardest pitches to throw. You have to have a certain grip on the
ball. You have to have a certain throwing motion to be able to make them break/move. You also need
to be able to throw the ball at the right speed and the speed with your arm motion has to be a certain
speed as well. There are three breaking balls that can make or break a pitcher in the MLB. The first
pitch that I will talk about is the knuckleball. Knuckleballs are one of the hardest pitches to

The most important finger to be able to throw the curveball is the middle finger. The pitcher will find
a seam that will give resistance to the middle finger to get more control and spin on the ball. This is
how the spin on the curveball is so tight. According to Steven Ellis, The throwing elbow must be equal
to or slightly above the throwing shoulder. You must stay over the top when you throw the curveball.
Throwing it when it s under your shoulder then you put additional stress on your arm. Also if the arm
is at an angle larger than 90 degrees then it also puts additional stress on your arm. The placement of
your arm will be alot closer to your head then you re normal fastball. It will be slightly up and away
from your ear. When you release the curveball you want to release it out in front of you. The way you
release the ball is the type of action you want the pitch to have. When releasing a curveball, your wrist
will be hooked and your hand will pull down in front of your body, says Steven Ellis. The further you
release the ball from your head, the less grip you will have on the ball, resulting in a looser spin on
your pitch. It is extremely important that you maintain similar arm speed with your curveball that you
have with your fastball. A hitter reads arm speed. says Steven

Difference Between Morality And Morality
Freedom and morality, once we act a form of freedom we should always consider morality. Morality
plays a big role in our actions and freedom, why? Because once we acknowledge our freedom or free
will as a human person the morality sinks in and it identifies if our freedom must be acknowledged as
the real freedom. Morality causes the world s internal and external peace. Being a human person who
always considers the real morality and identify correctly what is good and what is bad, or sometimes
what is true and what is false, can keep the community at peace, nature of peace and world at peace.
Freedom is a right or power to do something. For all we know we have many advantages in freedom
like we can speak for ourselves, we can eat what we want, and we can do whatever we want, but we
have also disadvantage it s when someone push to the limits and ruined others freedom.
Differentiating morality and ethics are a big process of analyzing, because according to the formal
research morality is the principles of concerning the distinction between right and wrong, or good or
bad actions, while the ethics is a moral principle that governs the person s or group s behavior.
Morality and ethics is both something to do with identifying what is the correct action or behavior to
apply each scenario in our daily lives. We are all blessed because of being a democratic country. We ...

Sir Isaac Newton And Albert Einstein
Sir Isaac Newton and Albert Einstein are though by many to be two of the greatest scientific minds to

Isaac Newton is seen by historians as an unusual man while Albert Einstein, not seen as a social

personal papers, he talks of how monogamy is not a natural human idea and he never is loyal to a
single woman. He is reported to get married twice. On a different note, the religious beliefs of the two
men varies greatly. Newton has written many books on his strong Christian beliefs. All of his work
strengthened his belief in God. In contrast, Einstein would never accept a personal God and his belief
in one is at discussion to this day. Even though they have great personal differences, both men are
scientist and have a child like wonder that propels their work.

private schools growing up. Bud had an older brother that his father favored over him. As kids, Bud s
older brother Ryan excelled at many aspects of life while Bud s childhood was filled with misfortune.
Ryan excelled in high school as a star athlete who graduated top of his class with a full ride to Yale.
Bud, on the other hand, was not as academically, or athletically gifted as his older brother. Bud is tired
of living in his brothers shadow. Bud is willing to do whatever it takes to take his brothers glory. The

Heaven s Gate Mass Suicide
It s me, Charlotte. I think the weirdest thing I have ever heard about happened today. I believe that it is
called the Heaven s Gate Mass Suicides but whatever it is, it is super creepy. Apparently, police found
thirty nine men dead at a rental home in Rancho Santa Fe. The person who rented it out thought it was
for a religious group, but nobody could find evidence to prove it. The estate looks really expensive too
from ten to twenty thousand a month ( 39 )! The news said that all of the men were particularly young,
from 18 to 24 years old. All of the people who died were wearing dark clothing, tennis shoes, and
lying in a prone position. They didn t find any blood on the dead people. I think they are trying to

Blanche Dubois Character Traits
Mr. Tim Kelley
ENG 272
10 Nov 2015
Character Analysis of Blanche DuBoise In the play A Streetcar Named Desire, Tennessee Williams
portrays Blanch DuBoise as the character who suffers inner struggles all through her life. She is a
fallen woman in the eyes of society. She would prefer to live in her own imagination. Her name is
befitting for her in that she acts more as a woman of the night she would rather be out at night or in the
dim lights. She is a southern woman on all counts who lives in Laurel, Mississippi. Her life has been
full of disappointments, death, and sexual propriety. Through her misfortunes, she becomes more
unstable. She wants to create a life within her life to cope with all the stresses of her reality. Blanche is
unable to find an escape from herself. She finds herself as a victim at the hands of her sister s husband.
Blanche hopes for new beginnings when she leaves Belle Reve from which she has been evicted. She
moves to New Orleans to be with Stella, her sister, and her husband Stanley. Leonard Berkman pities
her and views her as a misunderstood character, a tragic figure trying to start a new life for herself in
New Orleans (34). As much as she tries, she can never fully gain peace. The name Williams chose for
her character causes some speculations and opposition among critics. There are those who see it as a
name of purity, but others think Williams is trying to play with the critics. Critic Nicholas Pagan
suggests that Blanche

Similarities Between European And Asian Films
The Grittier Hero
The Western has traditionally been thought of as an American entity. Forging the west and its frontier
is what the nation sees as its identity. There are other versions of the this traditionally American story.
Countries outside the nation intrigued by the genre have taken the Western to other levels and depicted
the characters in a different light. European and Asian films have a divergent perspective of the
traditional lone man that comes to save the day. Films such as The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly,by
Sergio Leone, Seven Samurai, by Akira Kurosawa created men that were not the America type of
western men. These new interpretations were men that are clearly not good nor truly evil, but blurred.
These films have main characters, whether alone or in groups that are closer to the antagonists in the
films. Other countries viewed Western heroes as selfish and individualistic, grittier, and in opposite of
the white American hero. Typically in the American version of the Western, the hero does usually have
a jaded past, however, like characters in the Virginian and John Ford films with John Wayne, the main
protagonist is humble and down to earth. Beginning in the 1960s, western films reflected the Vietnam
conflict and its increasing ambiguities, leading up to a crisis of public myth (Cawelti 145). Film as a
whole reflected the change in the hero s identity. In the film The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, Leone
made the character of Blondie , played

Larry Ellison s Impact On The Face Of Business
Larry Ellison founded Software Development Labs in August 1977 with Ed Oates, and Bob Miner.
The labs later became Oracle Corporation and is now worth 42.5 billion (net). Many people look up
towards Larry because he had to work for his place as the chief executive officer of Oracle and now
has become one of the richest people in the world. Ellison is a very good leader in his corporation
because he perseveres to get what oracle needs and is ruthless in the face of business. Larry also
makes important decisions that impact the future of oracle. Larry was born August 17, 1944. At a very
young age he was sent to Chicago to live with his Uncle and Aunt, and later was adopted by them. In
1962, Larry s adopted mother died and Ellison dropped out

How Did Mao s Use Of Communism Affect China
Mao had a very questionable rule over China. Beginning in 1934, he used communism as his guide
and transformed China and its policies. From kicking out Chiang and the GMD, to causing the deaths
of millions of innocent chinese citizens, he shifted how citizens in China live their everyday life. His
death in 1976 ended his reign, but the horrors and atrocities still continued on, disrupting the personal
lives of all of China. As the chinese government creates new reforms and policies in China from 1945
1991, all human rights were constantly being violated, resulting in mass amounts of death caused by
Mao s poor leadership. The Hundred Flowers Campaign (1956 1957) and The Great Leap Forward
(1958 1960) were two reforms that negatively affected ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
China s position as a superpower was achieved through the great suffrage of all of its citizens. Many
would argue that China doesn t deserve its position in the world, due to the millions of innocent deaths
due to the violations of human rights. However, China s future is bright. For example, China changed
its One Child Policy to a Two Child Policy in 2016, after about 35 years of loss of rights, family
control, and murders. This improvement is one of many that China has taken into their hands to
improve. The world should look at China s improvement, rather than its past, and acknowledge that
China is trying to make China a better place than its previous China, no matter how hard that may

The Media Of Advertisements On Advertisements
In today s fast paced world, media texts such as advertisements aim to convey meaning with a single
glance. Through using clever tools to interpretation , rhetorical, genre and narratology this can be
achieved, meaning that adverts on billboards or in magazines can successfully get their message
across with no more than a fleeting look. It is the different combinations and the selected signs which
allow us in general to convey meanings through any print advertisement and the connotations that
these signs have and what we determine from different types of signs, through the process of
signification. These tools allow brands, products, to anchor a product and create a naturalised myth of
the product such as this product t will for fill your benefits , to sell it to the consumerist world. As we
are now in an age of sophisticated advertising, there are no long written messages on the majority of
print advertisements. It is down to certain tools to produce a complex network of signs to produce a
direct anchored meaning and in most cases to avoid vagueness.
There are many conventions that the genre of print advertisements and particularly headphone
advertisements adheres to and outstanding to these common features we have certain expectations of
what they will include. The advertisement I have chosen both in print and on clip is a sub genre of
headphones sold by both the same company Sony publications, of which was founded May 7, 1946,
Tokyo, Japan. For any headphone

Enkidu In The Epic Of Gilgamesh
In the book, The Epic of Gilgamesh, the gods create Enkidu as a counter to Gilgamesh. Enkidu has
similar features to Gilgamesh; he is burly enough that none can withstand his arms and Gilgamesh did
not meet anyone who could do the same (The Epic of Gilgamesh 4). Gilgamesh is captivating and
endearing, but he lacks in practical skills. In the epic, Enkidu is present to enhance Gilgamesh and to
make him a preferable person.
Enkidu represents the innocent of the Epic of Gilgamesh. The innocent is an inaugurated male or
female character that is introduced to the vile of the world. Enkidu was appraise as an innocent of
mankind; he knew nothing of the cultivated land. And he lives in the wild with other untamed animals

  • 3. Leading Indicators The assigned readings for Unit 2 (Chapters 2, 3 and 6) cover the effects of workplace accidents, accident theories, and workers compensation. In professional safety practice, the topics covered in this unit generally include a discussion of safety metrics . Measuring safety performance is a mixed bag of calculating and reviewing data associated with lagging indicators and leading indicators . By definition, lagging indicators are output oriented, easy to measure and calculate, but not improvable since they are measures of what already occurred (i.e., losses in the form of accidents, property damage, or loss of life). In contrast, leading indicators are input oriented and represent preventative measures taken to improve overall safety and reduce the occurrence of incidents and injuries. Lagging indicators allude to the health of a company s safety program and performance in the form of past accident and incident statistics, such as lost workers compensation costs, injury frequency, injury severity, OSHA recordables, near misses, spills/releases or Experience Modification Rate (EMR). • 4. Abortion Is The Destruction Of A Fetus In this essay, I will discuss my position on abortion, how it has changed, and how it compares to others more established positions. Before I can begin this, however, I must first discuss the terms that will be used and their definitions. For the purposes of this essay an abortion is the destruction of a fetus at any point in development. A fetus constitutes a fertilized egg. At the moment the egg and sperm converge, the product is entitled a fetus. Prior to this course, my opinion on abortion was firm, but underdeveloped. I had a position that stated abortion to be immoral but acceptable in some cases. By this, I meant that it was always wrong, but could be understood in some cases, and thus, somehow, less of a wrongness. I see now the major issues with this argument and will use this essay to better clarify my position, and I will find myself aligning very closely with the views of Don Marquis, as portrayed by his article entitled An Argument that Abortion is Wrong. I will expound upon these views as they are shared by mine, but will also cite portions from writings by Judith Thomson and Mary Anne Warren. I find that my position was developed by using terms and ideas from these three authors, but I will also discuss how their writings and views conflict with mine. My position has been altered by new knowledge, and new incorporation of different circumstances. • 8. Summary Of Margaret Atwood s The Victory Burlesk Madeleine Davies had once said that Margaret Atwood s female bodies are inevitably coded bodies that tell the story of the subject s experience within a political economy that seeks to consume them, convert them into consumers in turn, shrink them, neutralize them, silence them, and contain them physically or metaphorically. (Davies 60). In Margaret Atwood s short story, The Victory Burlesk, Atwood is showing just that; Atwood is demonstrating how a woman is shrunken, silenced, and contained. This short story is bringing attention to how people feel shame for women in realization of reality, and how there is a focus on the Good Woman and the Bad Woman , how Bad Woman are represented. The Victory Burlesk is a story in which a woman is on stage and reveals herself as an elderly woman, putting on a show for one another to watch, a show in which people in the audience began to feel shame about. I could feel shame washing through me. (Atwood 20 21), there is a woman on the stage, making herself vulnerable for everyone to see, and yet others are shameful in this situation. Why do others feel shame? Because there is a realization that this woman is real. That that is a actual body up there, one that no one wants to sexualize anymore due to her age and appearance. • 9. What Is The Australian Landscape A poem is a way to escape, a way to feel something you ve never felt, see something you ve never seen, and go somewhere you ve never gone. Poets have always used their language, tone, and devices to transport their reader to see a new and different perspective on key aspects of society. One distinct example of this, is the depiction of the Australian landscape which is expressed from varying perspectives in different poems, including John Tranter s Backyard, Jill Jones s Transformations in a City Block, and Dorothea Mackellar s My Country. Tranter has expressed the suburban scenery, with which a majority of Australians are familiar with, as well as a realistic life and the idea of living simply. Jones, as well as Tranter, shows the real environment in which most Australians live, the city, contrary to the belief of many. On the other hand, My Country illustrates the ideal and well known Australian landscape of the bush and natural environment, which is not a completely accurate representation of Australians and how we live. Nevertheless these poems work together to form a cohesive anthology concerning the different perspectives of Australia and its scenery, revealing the duality of this countries landscape and a contrast between the ideal and real environment in which Australians live. The poem Backyard conveys the notion of the simple yet chaotic life that is found when living in the landscape of suburban Australia. This blank verse poem of seven stanzas has slight rhythm, no rhyme and has utilised enjambment throughout. These aspects contribute to the sense of reality and chaos created as the poem sound closer to normal speech, as though you re just have a conversation with the narrator. The poem follows the events that occur and environment of a family s backyard, discussing the various aspects with which most Australian s would be able to relate with to some degree and overall telling the reader to live life simply. Moreover, the use of the rhetorical question Is that a fifties home movie, or the real thing? makes the audience think about what the true Australian landscape really is. • 17. The Angry Black Man Analysis The Angry Woman, The Angry Arab, The Angry Black Man. These are labels given to people in today s society who for speaking out on injustice in the world. Is this fair? Are these individuals out of line for getting angry at injustice? To explore this topic we will take use an example from Nora Berenstain s essay Epistemic Exploitation, of a woman named Summer who believes her department of Philosophy had sexist biased in the decision to reward fellowships to only male graduate students. She also points out the department is known for covering up issues of sexual harassment and harboring perpetrators of sexual harassment, some of which she has personally experienced. When confiding in a male cohort, Dean, he says her accounts are a misrepresentation of the department, and that there are, only a few bad apples . Likewise, he minimizes Summer s points and says she is just upset that she did not win a fellowship from the department. If Summer were to at this point get angry at the situation, she would be justified in her anger because of her perspective in the situation, and Dean as a member of the oppressor group is in the wrong for trying to discredit and perpetuate the gender oppressive environment. To begin, we should discuss two opposing views on the aptness of anger. A classic stoic argument on anger comes from the first century roman philosopher Seneca, in his book On Anger. In his first extract of his book Seneca describes how anger is uncontrollable and therefore useless (Seneca, 101). To support this, in the second extract, Seneca rebukes the argument that anger can be used as motivation, by stating that he believes virtue and moral outrage at injustice can provide enough motivation to make change (Seneca, 103). Further, in his third extract, Seneca argues that anger should not be used as motivation because he believes the very nature of anger is precarious, therefore untrustworthy. Rather, humans have been equipped with reason for both foreseeing issues, and to use as motive for change (Seneca, 104). Thus, Seneca says gaining control and overcoming ones emotions is the only way to live a productive in making change to moral injustice in the world. In contrast to Seneca, Amia Srinivasan has an ... Charles Dickens thought that if things did not change, then a violent revolution in England, similar to the French Revolution, was possible or in the future. In A Tale of Two Cities , Charles Dickens symbolizes the discord that the English and the French faced as he tears apart the two systems of their society. Charles Dickens, a brilliant author back in the 1850 s, wrote A Tale of Two Cities in order to describe the similarities between the forces that led to the revolution and the oppression and unrest occurring in England. The French revolution impacts history because the time period in which it takes place is before and during the French revolution. The French revolution signifies the essence of a rapid change, nevertheless, this change tore France right at the heart, where all the government was functioning . France was torn apart because of the rebellions of the Bourgeoisie, against the rich aristocrats, consequently the monarch Louis 14th. Charles Dickens went further. He conveys the idea of the French revolution through the use of social reform along with its inevitable impact on the individuals affected by the waves of change. Throughout history, the road to revolution is described as an obsession to the minority group such as the American revolution in the late 18th century. • 22. E Voting And Its Effect On Voting Introduction E voting is an e government concept that uses the Internet to allow people to vote. The use of e voting is usually applied by countries and companies. In companies, this use of e voting can be used in shareholder meetings or other instances where it is not physically possible for all individuals with a vote to be present. E voting is a new concept that has recently been used by countries that are not willing to dedicate the necessary funds to provide paper votes. The use of e voting eliminates the use of paper and ensures that voter turnout will be higher as it will eliminate issues with travelling to the voting venue and waiting in any lines that may occur. In addition, the process of tallying votes will be far faster since e voting will eliminate the manual counting of votes as well as issues such as the vote counting machine malfunctioning. E votes will be counted using software designed to tally votes. The concept of e voting has been analyzed to ensure that it is a fair process. The fairness of this new type of voting will be critical to its acceptance. However, there is a portion of the population which feels that the system can be easily manipulated and argue that the Internet is vulnerable to hacker attacks, something that can lead to an invalid and unfair result. • 24. Summary Of The Overcoat By Nikolai Gogol In a time of large, corrupt, and ineffective bureaucracy, Nikolai Gogol looks provide a humorous perspective on life in Tsarist Russia. Through both The Nose and The Overcoat, Gogol reveals his true nature as a comical humorist with the intention of giving readers a laugh but also of mocking human vanity. From the very beginning of The Overcoat, it becomes clear the story has a comedic nature. While explaining to the reader the touchiness of departments in Russia, Gogol gives the district police chief as an example: He plainly demonstrated that all the imperial institutions were going to the dogs, and that the Czar s sacred name was being taken in vain; and in proof he appended to the complain a romance, in which the district chief of police is made to appear about once in every ten pages, and sometimes in a downright drunken condition (Gogol 1). The scenario Gogol describes is one of absurdity. How could someone get so worked up over a book that has no intent of offending them? No normal person would ever become so hysterical over a piece of literature that indirectly offends them. Claiming that the whole political system of Russia is being destroyed and that royalty had been disgraced because of a simple character in a book that resembles oneself is preposterous. To a rational mind, the police chief s over emotional reaction is clearly insane, as a normal person does not have the narcissism to take minute details personally. This laughable situation ... Marx explained religion as a phenomenon created by economic position meant to give reason to people s social economic position and thus provide them satisfaction, while they are promised salvation in paradise. Durkheim reduced religion as something created by the social interaction of people, thus making religion a social phenomenon, in which people interact and have rites. Freud, on the other hand, explained religion as being neurotic due to people s obsession with security alongside the father. All in all, these three theorists attempted to reduce religion to its basic elements, which they later used to explain primitive life, and the reason for the continuity of religion in modern life. However, Mircea Eliade and Max Weber did not agree with the views. Weber and Eliade determined that the reductionist view did not give enough insight into religion, because they focused on primitive culture to say what religion was, information was confined to only western civilization, and in Freud s case religion was neurotic. Thus, Weber and Eliade rejected the reductionist views of Durkheim, Marx, and Freud. The meter of the lyric is for the most part trochaic octameter, with eight pushed unstressed two syllable feet per lines. Consolidated with the prevailing ABCBBB end rhyme plot and the successive utilization of inward rhyme, the trochaic octameter and the hold back of nothing more and nevermore give the lyric a melodic lilt when perused so anyone might hear. Poe additionally underscores the O sound in words, for example, Lenore and nevermore with a specific end goal to underline the despairing and desolate sound of the lyric and to set up the general air. At long last, the reiteration of nevermore gives a roundabout sense to the lyric and adds to what Poe named the solidarity of impact, where each word and line adds to the bigger significance of the sonnet. The pitcher will find a seam that will give resistance to the middle finger to get more control and spin on the ball. This is how the spin on the curveball is so tight. According to Steven Ellis, The throwing elbow must be equal to or slightly above the throwing shoulder. You must stay over the top when you throw the curveball. Throwing it when it s under your shoulder then you put additional stress on your arm. Also if the arm is at an angle larger than 90 degrees then it also puts additional stress on your arm. The placement of your arm will be alot closer to your head then you re normal fastball. It will be slightly up and away from your ear. When you release the curveball you want to release it out in front of you. The way you release the ball is the type of action you want the pitch to have. When releasing a curveball, your wrist will be hooked and your hand will pull down in front of your body, says Steven Ellis. The further you release the ball from your head, the less grip you will have on the ball, resulting in a looser spin on your pitch. These new interpretations were men that are clearly not good nor truly evil, but blurred. These films have main characters, whether alone or in groups that are closer to the antagonists in the films. His death in 1976 ended his reign, but the horrors and atrocities still continued on, disrupting the personal lives of all of China.
