Hunter-gatherers lived for around 100,000 years by hunting animals and gathering plants in small groups before the development of agriculture. If hunter-gatherers had not adopted agriculture and continued their nomadic lifestyles, humans would not have evolved settled lifestyles or advanced technology beyond Stone Age tools and climate change would not be a problem as hunter-gatherers use natural resources without permanent settlements.
