Biodiversity on our planet has degraded more in the last sixty years than any previous time in history, with species going extinct at a rate 100 to 1000 times higher than the natural rate according to scientists. While biodiversity provides benefits like food and medicine, a world without it would be less habitable for humans and other species. We must take action now to protect biodiversity and reverse its loss.

An Analysis of Different Visualization Techniques in Social Network Context T...
This paper introduces a study to analyse the users impressions about different visualization techniques. To achieve this, we used the Spot tool, which provides a set of different visualization techniques to users with information retrieved from Twitter. This study was conducted with a sample of 7 Twitter users who have never used this tool before. We collected their impressions and interactions with the system on each visualization technique available. When running a qualitative analysis of the data gathered, an interesting set of results were found. Advantages and disadvantages for each visualization technique introduced were found by all users. This led us to a discussion on where each kind of those techniques would be better introduced or used.

Abstract—ORG, fictitious name, is a large company with
complex-globally distributed projects that has recently started
a ”big-bang” transition to agile. About a year ago the new CIO
announced it was time to aim for faster deliveries and decided
on a company-wide roll-out to agile, including legacy systems. In
this paper we report on an interview-based qualitative study that
aimed to identify the reasons of why the company is moving to an
agile approach, the steps towards becoming agile took during this
first year of work, and the main concerns of senior management
given the size of the company, the complexity of the projects
developed, and the team’s global distribution. We interviewed
18 senior managers, including members of the board committee
that assess the CIO in strategic decisions. Our findings add to the
current literature on the topic by discussing the transformation
in a large-complex scenario that, to the best of our knowledge,
has never been reported in literature.
Ethnography
Ethnography is a method used in anthropology and other social sciences to study cultures. It involves immersing oneself in a culture to gain a deep understanding of that culture's practices, values and worldview from the perspective of its members. The researcher spends extensive time observing and participating in the daily lives of the culture being studied. The result is a rich description of that culture that provides insight into how its members live and experience the world. Ethnography has also been applied to study software engineering cultures and practices by observing how teams work and interact to understand their processes and behaviors in context.
