Group Policy Paper For Profits Institutions
Policy: Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010
Relevant History
Higher education attainment is one important parameter of national competitiveness in today s
increasing global world. Compare to 1990, today, the rank of U.S. in the world in four year degree
attainment dropped from the 1st to the 12th. Therefore, President Obama set a new goal for the United
States to be first in the world again in college attainment by 2020, in order to remain global
competitive, and fulfill the needs of the growing new jobs which requires more education of the new
economy (The White House, n.d.).
President Obama and Secretary of Education Arne announced the United States Department of
Education s Race to the Top competition, a $4.35 billion incentive program designed to make drastic
reforms and improvements in education and student performance, as a part of the American Recovery
and Reinvestment Act of 2009. After a rigorous competition with other states, Tennessee emerged as
one of the two states awarded Race to the Top funding and will receive $501 million over the next
four years (The Public Agenda for Tennessee Higher Education 2010 2015, 2011).

Essay on Compare and Contrast Comedy and Tragedy
Compare and Contrast Comedy and Tragedy
In a comparison of comedy and tragedy, I will begin by looking at narrative. The narration in a
comedy often involves union and togetherness as we see in the marriage scene at the end of
Midsummer s Night Dream. William Hazlitt tells us that one can also expect incongruities,
misunderstandings, and contradictions. I am reminded of the play The Importance of Being Ernest and
the humor by way of mistaken identity. Sigmund Freud tells us to expect excess and exaggeration in
comedy. Chekhov s Marriage Proposal displays this excess both in language and in movements.
Charles Darwin insists that in a comedy circumstances must not be of a momentous nature; whereas,
Northop Frye identifies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Comic characters are often likable and sweet as Jack and Algeron in The Importance of Being Ernest.
Oliver Goldsmith characterizes comic characters as being good and exceedingly generous as well as
having an abundance of sentiment and feeling. Goldsmith is speaking especially of sentimental
comedy, the forerunner of the sit com. Tragic characters, however, are usually of a higher class, even
nobility Aristotle tells us. This seems to be more the case the further back in history we go. Oedipus
fits this description far better than the characters in Desire Under the Elms. Characters in tragedy may
be heroic and seem larger than life as does Hamlet. A quality of greatness is usually seen through
characters in a tragedy.
Comedies and tragedies also differ in their audience appeal. Hazlitt tells us when watching comedy we
laugh at what disappoints our expectations in trifles. But Henri Bergson warns us to expect laughter
without feeling. Bergson also believes that a group is necessary for comedy to work. George Meredith
says that comedy is dependent on a society where there is social freedom and common sense. This
may be why Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard is seen by some as a comedy but not by others. Since it
comments on social change, the humor would be a strain for Russian audiences who lack the social
freedom necessary to laugh at such ideas. Tragedy, on the other hand, evokes fear and pity according

Social Process Theory Analysis
There are five theories relating to an individual s propensity to engage in criminal activity. There are a
few of these theories that are farther reaching than individual choice and genetic makeup. These three
theories indicate that people can literally be a product of their environment.
The sociological theory suggests that the majority of people will conform to the community with
which they are living. The family and educational structure can influence and even foretell a person s
inclination towards crime. For example, if a person lives in a community where the schools,
neighborhoods, and other businesses and organizations are thriving economically and socially with
order then the person will do the same. The person will be more likely to act in a way that is cohesive
with the rest of the community. However, if the same organizations for any reason due to social or
economic factors, suffer negative impact and disorder that the same person in that community will
ultimately turn to negative solutions or crime for survival within the community.
The social conflict theories suggest that the conflict between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The two key social process theories are the learning theory and the control theory. The learning theory
simply states that criminal activity is a learned behavior (Gaines and Miller, 2014) An individual
grows up in a family and community that frequently engages in crime, then so will the individual. The
control theory holds that although we all have the potential to commit crimes, most of us are
dissuaded from doing so because we care about the opinions of our family and peers (Gaines and
Miller, 2014) Simply put, a broken down community or even a familial support system that
encourages criminal behavior is more likely to produce a

The Importance Of Behaviour-Based Safety
According to the Cambridge Centre for Behaviour Studies, (n.d., P1) Behavioural safety is the
application of behavioural research on human performance to the problems of the safety in the
workplace. Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) is an approach based on research of people s behaviour
(what they do and why they do it) and applies scientific theories into practical problems. (HSA0392,
2017) It is also described as a bottom up approach (H. L. Kaila, 2008), because frontline workers help
manager to observe co worker and make suggestions. For a more broader term, BBS is about everyone
s behaviour, not just the frontline (Agnew and Ashworth, 2012) definition
A BBS approach is based on solid principles (HAS, 2017). Harvard psychologist B.F Skinner (1940s)
is pioneer in this area who discovers the principles of behavioural science. These principles are
applied in institutional and education fields in late 1960s. It is not until 1970s that industrial
applications is in Skinnerian behavioural science. Starting in 1984, Monsanto used Behavioural
methods for accident prevention (Thomas, John, and Stanley,1990) (Rafiq M.Choudhry, 2014) and
Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) has proven to be an effective tool for the reduction workplace
accidents and is slightly adjusted due to the change in business climate.(Proactive Safety 2017)History

Health Risks Associated With The Additives
You Are What You Eat Do you read the labels on the products you buy? Do you know what is put in
the food you consume? There are many health risks associated with the additives in products. Most
Americans are unaware of the risks that are linked with the additives in commonly purchased
products. My daughter was one year old when I realized she was allergic to artificial coloring. One
morning we woke up and I made us a toasty bagel. I topped the warm crunchy bagel with light pink,
strawberry, cream cheese. We enjoyed our bagel as we watched Sunday morning cartoons. Suddenly I
noticed her face was as red as a cherry. In a panic I took her to the bathroom to check for other
symptoms. She was red from head to toe with red raised bumps all over. I immediately called the
doctor, who advised me to take her to the emergency room. After the doctor examined her she told us
it was a food allergy. I realized she broke out after eating food that contained artificial coloring. Once I
started to look at labels, to avoid buying harmful products, I realized almost everything contained
added coloring. Many manufactures over use artificial coloring in the United States, which can lead to
serious health problems. Americans need to become aware of what is added to our food, and ban
artificial coloring. How can we find a solution to a problem, if most of us are UN aware that a
problem exists? First, we must find out what is in artificial colors. Artificial color, food color, and

The Road Not Taken Research Paper
Essay
The Road Not Taken is a very popular poem written by the renowned poet Robert Frost. This poem
tells a story of a man caught between two diverged roads and uncertain on which path he should take.
These two roads are quite obviously metaphors for the different paths you can take in life, but what is
less obvious is which path the narrator should take, and which he should leave behind. Throughout the
poem the narrator is constantly second guessing himself on which of the two roads he should take. He
reassures himself by saying that one of the roads seemed more grassy than the other and also seemed
less traveled upon. But shortly after he reveals that in actuality the two roads were both quite the
same. In the end he finally makes a decision but shows much regret after making it. This poem may
not be much of a fairytale but Robert Frost does have a theme behind this story, which is to make the
best of your opportunities. Since you can obviously not be able to see the ... Show more content on

In the first line of the poem Frost already begins to lay out his setting for the reader saying, Two roads
diverged in a yellow wood (1). This allows the reader to visually see what the narrator sees, which
makes the poem much more powerful and realistic. Also Frost had to use imagery to put reader in the
narrator s shoes, so it s as if the reader also has to make the decision on which road is the best to take.
Even though the roads are not any different from each other, the details the narrator gives makes even
the reader for a moment believe that one is better than the other. This manipulation that Frost creates
using imagery makes the reader experience first hand the theme that he made which is to make the
best of your situation. Frost was able to put the reader in the same situation and cause them to even
weigh their options for a

Arguments Against Full Inclusion
One of the biggest controversies in the United States education system is whether or not full inclusion
should be practiced in all schools. There are various reasons why people are for or against full
inclusion. The Learning Disabilities Association of America (2012) defines full inclusion as, a popular
policy/practice in which all students with disabilities, regardless of the nature or the severity of the
disability and need for related services, receive their total education within the regular education
classroom in their home school (p. 1). Full inclusion is a policy in which the ultimate goal is to
eliminate the need of pull out programs. Students with disabilities are expected to learn and make
friends in general education classrooms. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When children are separated in schools, they begin to believe that one group is better than the other.
More often than not, elementary aged students refer to the special education students as the mental
ones. Although children do not intentionally negatively judge their peers, the segregation in school
systems makes them believe that is why they are separated. Batchelor and Taylor stated, Social
interaction within the peer culture is the basis from which friendships develop (Guralnick, 1981), and
is an important medium through which language, cognitive and social learning takes place (Guralnick
1981; McEvoy Odom, 1987) (p. 1). Students need social interaction with their peers in order to make
friends and develop social skills. When students with disabilities are all in one room together, they are
not being exposed to the people they will talk to in the real world, and therefore will not develop
proper social skills. When regular education students are integrated with students with disabilities,
they become much more accepting of people with differences. They make new friends and learn how
to accommodate for those who need extra help. Keeping children separated plays a role on the
reputation and mental health of those with disabilities. Abrams, Hogg, and Marques (2005) stated,
Whereas the experience of inclusion is frequently accompanied by positive emotions, the experience
of being excluded typically leads to negative emotions, including sadness, loneliness, jealousy, anger,
shame, and anxiety (Baumeister Tice, 1990; Leary,1990) (p. 64). Children are not born with hatred in
their hearts. They are accepting of everyone until they are taught to hate. Keeping students with
disabilities separated from students without them is teaching students that they are different and one
group is more capable than the other. Students with disabilities begin to

Inspired By Van Gogh
This painting was inspired by Van Gogh numerous paintings of flowers (usually sunflower) in vases.
This piece was made in a face to face art class, where one of my first projects was a to paint a piece
modeled after any work from an artist of my choice. Flowers are something I have always drawn or
painted, usually my go to, so this seemed like an obvious choice for me. Unfortunately, I am unable to
find the original painting I was examining for my project, but Van Gogh had many pieces under that
particular style. That being said, I started with a standard pencil to do the sketching as usual. Later
when it came to painting, we diluted the paint with oil and used a mixing spatula too. Over the entire
course of creating the piece, I was adding

Lao-Tzu vs. Machiavelli
Lao tzu vs. Machiavelli Government is the essential authority of a country or state, which is directly,
affects society because it provides key securities. Two of history s greatest thinkers Lao tzu, authors of
the Tao te Ching, and Niccolo Machiavelli, author of The Prince have similar but very contrasting
ideas of government, and how people should be governed. Lao tzu was born in the Chinese state of Ch
u. He spent most of his life working in the library of the Chou dynasty. Once he decided to leave a

To avoid such a catastrophe he must come across as a miser. Eventually he will prove he is not as
greedy as eh was thought to be. Once this is evident he can protect himself and wage war without
raising taxes and stressing his subjects. Therefore, it is actually better for him to be miserly than
generous. Machiavelli thinks it is better for the prince to be feared than loved. For a prince who is
loved will be compassionate towards others, mainly his soldiers. When danger is at bay his men will
hold him in the highest regard. Should an attack occur they will very quickly turn their backs on him.
He may be viewed as weak and untrustworthy, thus easier to overtake. As he explains, And men are
less hesitant about harming someone who makes himself loved than one who makes himself feared
because love is held together by a chain of obligation which, since men are a sorry lot, is broken on
every occasion in which their own self interest is concerned: but fear is held together by dread of
punishment which will never abandon you (p.46). If he is loved rather than hated he can never keep an
army of soldiers under his command. However, he must not be so feared to the point he is hated to do
so he must not take what does not belong to him, and keep his hands off the wives of his subjects.
According to Machiavelli, as wise Prince will not keep his word if the circumstances for which he
made that promise are no longer relevant.

Descriptive Essay About George Washington
The historic moment will forever be remembered when George Washington led the American troops
across the Delaware River in order to surprise the English, the day after Christmas in 1776. This is one
of the most famous parts of American history; the vision of brave men standing up and fighting
together against incredible odds for the common cause of liberty. It really speaks to me as a proud
American citizen; these men didn t give up in the face of defeat; they won the battle. I chose this
website because I had connections; I enjoyed learning about our first president s lifestyle and his

time period. She finds evidence from different Medieval works of literatures to help support her thesis.
O Pry Reynolds uses some details from Beowulf, Lancelot, Knight of the Cart, and Sir Gawain and

Chaucer writes about the Women from bath who had five husbands. It was very rare for women to
have more than one husband because they didn t believe in divorce.
Men and women from the middle ages had different roles in society that they had to live up to. The
gender rules they had to abide by was very strict. It was considered not normal to step outside of the
bounds of the gender roles assigned to them. (O Pry Reynolds 41). It was not usual for women to do
the roles of a man and vice versa. Just like in The Prologue to The Canterbury Tales the nun and the
monk would never be caught doing each other s job. The women in middle age were vessels of
chastity, purity, and good ness. This meant that the ladies would not go lay in bed with any and every
man they met. They would find the one and be loyal to him till death. The men during this time would
go on quest to show off how strong they were.
The supporting roles in Medieval literature for men and women had been very different. The men
were always the ones looking for a battle to fight if not n their own village then in other lands. (O Pry
Reynolds 38). Men could only be the heroes in Medieval Literature by who he is, his quest, and his
victories (O Pry Reynolds 37). If this was not the case for some men they could not be heroes. In most
Medieval Literature the women had roles that were just for support. They would be the characters

Background Of The Problem Of Opium
Background of the Problem
Opium is one of the key ingredients that is required when making Heroin. Once the milky fluid has
been cut from the poppy seed, it is then scraped off and set to air dry, producing what we know today
as opium. The opium is then vigorously stirred in with a calcium solution and hot water and then is
supposed to settle for a few hours. Once the opium has been settled, the top which contains the
morphine is extracted from the rest of the liquid. The morphine residue is then dried which results in a
brown morphine base. A chemical solution can be added at this time in addition with heat until the
solution turns black. When cooled down and quenched with water, the impurities of the substance are
removed. In a separate container, sodium carbonate is dissolved in water, then added to the morphine
base solution to create a Heroin based solution. However, on the streets of Dayton, to make more of a
profit off a cheaper substance, it is mostly sold by gel caps which are not as high quality. This results
in unnatural substances and chemicals being included in the cheap heroin product, creating a major
reason why addicts are dying from the drug.
Records show that within Montgomery County the number of heroin overdose has significantly
increased over time. Society is taking a destructive approach by punishing those who abuse drugs like
heroin rather than treating the addiction as a disease that is needing to be cured. The improper
handling of felons with drug

The Gilgamesh Of The Epic Of Gilgamesh
The Epic of Gilgamesh consist of narratives in tablets that effectively forwards the ideology of
kingship in Mesopotamia through a compilation of themes. Gilgamesh outward appearance was
magnificent, but inwardly he was a relentless tyrannical king. The epic makes it clear that he was
beautiful, strong, and wise collectively these facts intertwine with him being one third god and two
third human. Oddly, Gilgamesh never effectively utilized his assets for the betterment of his people;
rather he used it for his own wishes. Despite, his abusive kingship, there was always an overarching
restorer of balance overtly seen through the themes of love, immortality, religion, gods wrath, and
womanly intervention. Ultimately, kings in Mesopotamia had absolute power, but once it was abused,
the gods intervened to restore order. The narratives, tablet by tablet, served to critique the perception
of kingship. King Gilgamesh, ruler of Uruk, was as petrifying as one could imagine; in modern terms
he would be labeled a terrorist. Yes, in some respects he fulfilled his role as king; he built the great
infrastructure of Uruk for his citizens, but that in it of itself was not sufficient because his evils
overweighed his good doings. He exploited women for sexual gratification, he killed sons, he
sacrificed warriors, and he essentially did what he wanted when he wanted with absolutely no
consideration of the people he reigned over. The citizens were helpless, they sought refuge to a source

STI Surveillance System Analysis
Evaluation of the Summerville County STI Surveillance System Introduction An STI Surveillance
report was recently completed for Summerville County and its subsequent cities, and now, an
evaluation is necessary to examine how well the system operates to meet its purpose and objectives
(Lee et al., 2010). Public health surveillance systems should be evaluated periodically, and
recommendations for improving quality in the system will be provided (Lee et al., 2010). The purpose
of evaluating public health surveillance systems is to ensure that problems of public health importance
are being monitored efficiently and effectively (CDC, 2001). Results that are generated from
surveillance systems are not always free of errors; therefore, an evaluation is essential to produce a
high quality STI surveillance system for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV AIDS, and Syphilis programs.
Evaluating these errors and shortcomings will allow for higher accuracy in results and will further
lend a hand in disseminating findings in an efficient and timely fashion. The analysis being provided,
as well as other reports, will drastically play a role in helping Summerville with the burden of STIs. It
is important to assess the quality of the surveillance system in order to maintain relevant surveillance
data, otherwise time, money, and effort will have gone to waste.

Analysis Of Donald J. Trump s Looking Glass Self
Donald J. Trump s tax returns, and his 3.7 billion net worth, was once the reason he was critiqued in
the media. Once his political career commenced, the media satisfied the audience s thirst to revise
candidate Trump s history of privilege and business skills (and how he got them), to such an extent
that the election of 2016 was almost omnipresent. I reexamined the sociological aspects in Tremonti s
CBC session with David Cay Johnston. Johnston s stance is that Trump is a no good manager, and that
he will not be a good president. Charles Horton Cooley s Looking Glass Self, explains how Trump
became the man he is today. Lastly, Trump s extreme self regard creates untrustworthy relations,
which will be fatal for America s businesses and trades.
Synopsis
In CBC s podcast, Johnston exclaims that [if] Trump ran the U.S. economy like he does his business,
the U.S. would have terrible, terrible problems. Investigator and expert in US economics, David
Johnson meant to study the spread of casino gambling when he went to Atlantic City. There, he met
Donald Trump and began to investigate his taxes instead. Over the years he was able to collect tens of
thousands of Trump s papers. All of those records are strong evidence that Trump pays very little
taxes, or none at all. Johnston s CBC podcast was live on Thursday, September 29, 2016, when the
idea of Trump becoming president was seemingly inconceivable. Unfortunately for many, as of

nothing but the lunch wrapped in the handkerchief. He was surprised, however, at the cold. It certainly
was cold, he concluded, as he rubbed his numb nose and cheekbones with his mitted hand. He was a
warm whiskered man but the hair on his face did not protect the high cheekbones and the eager nose
that thrust itself aggressively into the frosty air (108). This quotation demonstrates that he was
unprepared and underestimated this journey. He should have carefully considered all factors relating
to under packing, underdressing, and the issue of possible frostbite/death, and he shouldn t have
underestimated the fact that he cannot control natures conditions such as negative fifty degree weather.
On the other hand, the dog from the very start is hesitant to accompany the man on his journey. The
animal was depressed by the tremendous cold. It knew that it was no time for travelling. Its instinct
told it a truer tale than was told to the man by the man s judgment. (108).
As the story continues, London contrasts the man and his dog throughout the story. It is basically a
man s knowledge versus a dog s instinct. Of course the dog has better

Why Might Having More Folding Have Been Important To...
Question 1: Researchers found that Einstein s brain had a higher ratio of glial cells to neurons than
other brains. What are glial cells, and why might having more glial cells be important?
Answer 1: Glial cells are cells that surround neurons and provide support for and insulation between
them. Glial cells are also the most abundant cells in the central nervous system. Types of glial cells
include oligodendrocytes, which have processes that form the myelin sheaths around CNS nerve
fibers, astrocytes the most abundant CNS neuroglia, ependymal cells that line cerebrospinal fluid
cavities, microglia cells that are the defensive cells in the CNS, schwann cells and satellite cells,
which form myelin sheaths around CNS never fibers.

So there is a strong correlation between glial cells and intelligence. Its no surprise that Einstein being
extremely intelligent had a higher amount of glial cells in his brain than the average human.
Question 2: Researchers have noted that Einstein s brain had more complex folding than other
comparison brains. What are the ridges and grooves in the brain called, and why might having more
folding have been important to Einstein s intelligence?
Answers 2: The ridges in the brain are called gyri and the grooves are call sulci.
why might having more folding have been important to Einstein s intelligence?
Many scientist believe that more folding can create extra surface area for mental processes, allowing
more connections between brain cells. With more connections between brain cells a person like
Einstein would be able to make cognitive connections that would otherwise be impossible. This extra
folding may have allowed Einstein to come up with his incredible theories like the General Theory of
Relativity.

Iodine Therapy Thyroidectomy
Iodine therapy is another option for treatment and is used in coordination with thyroidectomy to
completely ablate the thyroid gland and to postoperatively eradicate possible residual cancer (Nguyen,
et al., 2015). Iodine 131 has had a significant part in the treatment and of thyroid cancer since the mid
1940 s (Nguyen, et al., 2015). Iodine 131 works by entering the thyroid cells via the sodium iodide
transporters and emitting short wavelength beta rays, causing acute cell death (Nguyen, et al., 2015).
The use of Iodine 131 is done in two ways. When administered the first time after surgery, it is
referred to as ablation, whereas subsequent administrations for residual disease are referred to as
treatment (Nguyen, et al., 2015). Iodine ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

technologist used Iodine 123 and administered 288 uCi. The technologist used a low energy high

The patient had a thyroidectomy done in 1985. The technologist was looking for any uptake or
nodules that may be present. We didn t expect to find much uptake because the patient had already had
the thyroidectomy. What was found was surprising. The patient had their thyroid gland grow back
over time especially the right lobe. According to an article in Clinical Endocrinology thyroid tissue
being present after a thyroidectomy is not that uncommon. The study from Clinical Endocrinology
showed thyroid tissue was present in about half the patients on SPECT/CT studies (Barber, Cherk,
Toplisst, Serpell, Yap, Bailey Klaff, 2014). There was more uptake on the right gland in this case
study. Normal scans have homogeneous uptake in the entire gland and don t have cold nodule s
present. Abnormal scans can have cold nodules and uptake that is not uniform throughout the gland.
The physician noted that even though this study had more uptake in the right lobe it was due to the
gland being thicker and more of the right gland had grown

Communist Party And Anti Corruption
On April 17, 1989, thousands of student protesters flooded Tiananmen Square, Beijing, to mourn Hu
Yaobang s death. Yaobang was the former General Secretary of the Communist Party and also served
as a symbol of political reform and anti corruption. The students asked the government to end
corruption and to give political and economic reform. Demonstrations spread to different cities, with
workers joining in. They complained about money and housing issues. The spread of the
demonstrations concerned Party leaders, who thought there was going to be rebellion from the
protesters. Li Peng, who ranked second in the Party, believed that they should nip it in the bud, while

Sheep Heart Dissection
Sheep Heart Dissection Purpose: Sheep have a four chambered heart, just like humans. By studying
the anatomy of a sheep s heart, you can learn about how your own heart pumps blood through your

The Pros And Cons Of The NFLAs A Monopoly
The NFL is Definitely a Monopoly Although the NFL won t admit to it, the National Football League
is most definitely a monopoly. In order to become a monopoly, you have to take control of the market
are in, in this case, it is football. Monopolies are characterized by high barriers to entry, and almost
zero competition, and great amounts of power. Monopolies are commodity controlled by one party, in
this case, the commodity is football and the party is the NFL.
Available Competition and Suitable Substitutes The National Football League is the highest level of
professional American football in the United States and to most; it is considered the top professional
football league in the world. In order to become a monopoly, you have to take control of the market
you re in. The NFL was created in the early 1900 s. In 1920 the APFL was created when
representatives from many leagues and teams came together. The APFA originally had 11 teams when
they merged with NFL they currently have 32 teams (Tuchner, 2012). The National Football League is
now the most attended domestic sports league in the world. Since completion to the NFL is at a
minimum some substitutes are two similar monopolies, the NBA and MLB. But the NFL still is the
most powerful out of all of them. (The NFL, 2013)
The NFL S Power When it comes to monopolies you need to have a great amount of power. The NFL
uses its power in many ways one way is how they treat the players. In the draft system, a player has to

Cultural Impact On Tourism
Marketing teams have developed the dream vacation for just about everyone, whether your interests

much your only limitation. Alongside this ever increasing number of vacation destinations, a large
body of research on the tourist machine also grows. Over time, the focus of tourism research has
shifted somewhat from the basic sort of anthropological or sociological questions such as why do
people choose the destinations they do and how do the natives of these tourist destinations feel about
their guests to more of an environmental and cultural impact approach. The impacts commoditization
on tourism. Commoditization, in terms of tourism, is the packaging and sale of an idea or story. What I
mean by that is that what is being turned into a commodity is an experience, not a tangible product.
For example, Commoditization of the past is the sale of tradition and/or history. Commoditization of
culture is the sale of tradition and/or ritual. Many people have written about the impact that tourists
attention to a community s ethnic identity has on that culture and have found that long lost traditions
are being revived and even new staged traditions are being dreamt up in order to comply with the
tourists growing demand for authentic cultures. When researching the contrasting strategies Denmark

Karen Rowe Fairy Tales Analysis
In the article, Feminism and Fairy Tales, Karen Rowe focuses on the impact that fairy tales have on
relationships and expectations for women today. One may wonder why it is love that is so prominent
in fairy tales, rather than something else. However, Rowe provides the answer in her writing by
saying, ...marriage is an estate long sanctioned by culture and theoretically attainable by all women
(356). Rowe suggests that many women dream of some day meeting their own Prince Charming and
essentially writing their own fairy tale. Where, in order to do so, fairy tales have led them to believe
that there is such thing as a perfect love, that marriage saves a woman from the harsh realities in life,
and that life only truly begins with marriage. Starting at a young age, young girls are inherently

Themes Of Beauty And Mortality In Romanticism
Romanticism is a term that is difficult to define both historically and conceptually. It was not, in its
own time, a romantic movement. To discuss how the themes of beauty and mortality are intertwined in
Romantic poetry I will be focusing on one major Romantic poet, William Wordsworth. According to
the Oxford Dictionary, Beauty is defined as a beautiful or pleasing thing or person in particular, and a
combination of qualities such as shape, colour, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses especially
sight. Mortality is defined as the state being subject to death. To intertwine these themes it would
mean having a theme that describes the beauty in all things, characters, nature, scenery and how these
will all die and fade away but the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

that he came there with great energy and love. He asks she never forget how, after five years, he
returned, and felt a greater love for the beautiful place because she was with him. The theme of
memory is also very central to this poem. He not only visited Tintern Abbey, he remembered it.
Wordsworth himself knows that he will always have these fond memories for the rest of his life and
now, with this poem everyone who reads it will also be able to share, somewhat, what he experienced.
The realism of the poem is clear to us because the iambic pentameter resembles spoken English, thus
making us feel more connected to it. To My Sister is a poem dedicated to Dorothy. It is sensuous
evoking our senses of sight, smell and touch, once again reinforcing beauty within nature. Wordsworth
wants his sister to come outside and enjoy the openness with him and seize the day. There is an
urgency and excitement to his request. It is created with the use of an exclamation mark. He tells his
sister that their hearts will make silent laws if they allow themselves time to enjoy the beautiful spring
weather. Some silent laws our hearts will

The Effects Of Stress On Our Lives
ROUGH DRAFT

Stress is something that people are experiencing everyday based off things occurring in our everyday

could vary from school work, family issues, personal problems etc. The questionnaires entitled Social
Readjustment Scale (Miller Rahe, 1997) and the Lifestyle and Habits Questionnaire (Dinzeo, T.J.,

Essay On Air Pollution
Background: What is Air Pollution? What is this alarming issue that we all hear about in the news
almost everyday and are being warned about it because about every action of our daily life has an
impact on it? Air pollution is the introduction of foreign particles into the atmosphere that can have
detrimental effects on human, animals, plants and the planet Earth itself (Dalisay, C).
Air pollution not only affects our health but also has huge impact on the well being of the planet we
live on, from it s climate to it s very tiny species.
There are many known elements and contributors to air pollution, however there are more donors to
air pollution which are very tiny but have tremendous effects on health or organisms and the climate
on The Earth. Some notorious contributes to air pollution can come from car exhausts, factories and
fires. However there are other boosters that participate in this harmful and life threatening pollution.
One specific promoter to air pollution is a mixture of solid particles and liquid droplets found in the
air. These particulate matters (PM) come in different sizes such as PM 2.5 and PM 10 and can be
made up of different chemicals. The smaller particulates, PM
2.5, are more dangerous as they are inhalable and can sink into the lungs and enter blood stream.
PM 2.5 is one of the top resulting factors for cancers, respiratory diseases and cardiovascular
concerns. These tiny particulates not only impact human health but also have negative impacts

supposed virtues, or it can turn them in to be investigated further even though the information leading
to them is insufficient.
Effects of conflict of interest to the organization
This situation may seem totally unrelated but in a great way affects the case at hand. The decisions
made by CyberTech will in a way not be genuine due to the influence of the presence of the suspects
in another case with them. Let s take an example that the OPM breach suspects were found guilty in
the case which subsequently led to termination of their job and charging by the court. This would lead
them not being able to facilitate the other case they have with CyberTech. As a result, it would
suppress them financially or even if arrested they would not be able to represent themselves in order to
proceed with the other mentioned case. This is a conflict of interest which comes with lame outcomes
of a bad image to the organization. As well known, a bad image for an organization greatly affects
how it operates and hence how it relates to its customers. The basic factor that prospective clients look

Plutarch, coming from an upper class family, was able to get a good education and find a purpose to

his forefathers in thought (from Zeno to Plato), Plutarch used their systems to take his knack for

Romans were complaining that Rome itself was becoming `a Greek city4. Greek became an

Although it may have been an intellectual inspiration, much of Greece was still barren and the
economy was far from perfect. The country suffered from uniform poverty and the collapse of
autonomy6. From the decades of warring came a population on the downfall and a great decline in

were Corinth and Patras. People were not concerned with anything but survival. Ancient beliefs of
morality and plain old goodness were lost. There was a need for someone, anyone, to turn this awful
trend around. Enter Plutarch.
The year AD 46 brought the new thinker into the world. Greece had experienced almost 250 years of

was born in Chaeronea, in the province of Boeotia which was approximately half the distance between
Athens and Delphi. He was born into an old family that was known to have been holding high public

The Narcissism Epidemic Analysis
Narcissism the American way of thinking and we don t have to look far to find it. Todays celebrities
flaunt their oversized egos and too hot for you bodies. Access Hollywood thrives on potential celebrity
truths and gossip magazines. Society operate under the pleasure principle, accepting nothing less that
what we deserve. We buy houses on easy credit with an APR of 18% or higher. Facebook has become
a way of expressing ourselves. Clothing has become optional and we question how we got here? Jean
M. Twenge and W. Keith Campbell, authors of The Narcissism Epidemic, have compiled enticing and
compelling evidence for the development of culturally accepted narcissism. According to the two,
there are more narcissists than ever; even non narcissistic people are being seduced by cultural
emphasis on material wealth, physical appearance, and celebrity gossip (Twenge Campbell, 2009, pp.
1 2). Standards have shifted, trapping otherwise humble people into believing societies standards for
success. Twenge and Campbell s book was designed as a wake up call. The two authors work together
to uncover the truth behind societal narcissism, while revealing its long term consequences. The word

This is what initially attracted me to the book. Narcissism is bold claim to make, which in return made
me question the authors credentials. Unfortunately, the cover has no illustration, which would perhaps
attract other readers who have little to no knowledge on narcissism. Another aspect of the cover is the
statement made by San Francisco Chronicles, which reads: Chronicles the obsession that many
Americans have with, well, themselves...thinking themselves entitled to thing they haven t earned: It
puts them at a terrible disadvantage in a global marketplace that is, all the time, getting more
competitive. This statement allows background into the content of the book while leaving the reader

Warrant Officer Personal Statement
I first became interested with the idea of becoming a Special Forces Warrant Officer during my
seventh deployment. At the time I had served in the army for almost 14 years, 10 of which were in
Special Operations. I was originally assigned to the infantry where I excelled in all my training and
leadership courses. This drove me to push myself further and try out for the Special Forces, eventually
being assigned to my first Operational Detachment in November 2004. While I have thoroughly
enjoyed and excelled as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant, I feel there is more room for growth in my
career and am looking forward to my next challenge.
The desire to further my career caused me to start to research the different options available to me.

This statement caught my attention right away when reading about the program on the Warrant Officer
Recruiting Website. My training in advanced special operations and past experiences while deployed
have led me to be very passionate about this. I feel very strongly that unconventional warfare is
extremely effective and is the best direction for our future military engagements.
Through the Warrant Officer Program, I will be able to further my knowledge and training in
advanced special operations and unconventional warfare which in turn will allow me to help shape our
soldiers and operational detachments to meet the challenges we will face in the future.
The Warrant Officer Program is also affords me a great opportunity to serve as a key member of the
detachment leadership. I have served on teams both with and without warrant officers and recognize
the importance of this role. The warrant officer is a key source of continuity for the detachment due to
the longevity provided to them. This allows them to pass guidance on to new team leadership and
minimize disruptions in training during leadership changes. This longevity and continuity is vital to
the shaping of the team, developing the long term path, and ensuring mission

Schizophrenia Abstract
Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a severe and chronic brain disorder in which a person interprets actual reality
abnormally. It is a mental disorder that makes it difficult to think clearly, have normal responses to
emotions, act normal in a social setting, and tell the difference between their own interpretation of
reality and actual reality. There are several types of Schizophrenia: paranoid, undifferentiated,
disorganized, residual, and catatonic schizophrenia. The assumption is that schizophrenia is split or
multiple personalities. Schizophrenia is defined as split mind but this references the disruption in
normal balance of emotions and thinking. Schizophrenia is a chronic condition that requires lifelong
treatment. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once this process is done, the thought, feeling, or action is completed. An altercation or decrease in
neurotransmitters at the post synaptic membrane occurs when there is a neurological condition and
can be associated with hallucinations and delusions. There is no other known cause for these two
symptoms, only that it is a neurological problem of sensory loss. The cause for depression is the
decreased production of serotonin which in return will drop the serotonin levels in the brain. When a
person with schizophrenia has the symptom of anxiety it could be due to a decrease in GABA activity.
There are a wide range of treatments to assist with Schizophrenia symptoms, even if the symptoms
subside, treatment is still required so that they don t reoccur. Hospitalization to provide adequate
safety may be needed when symptoms become severe. Treatments can consist of medications such as
antipsychotics and psychological therapy to help cope with the disorder. Antipsychotics in general are
used to lower dopamine levels in one s brain; Haloperidol, Olanzapine, Quetiapine, Risperidane, and
Clozaril, are the most common drugs that target a wide range of Schizophrenia symptoms. Olanzapine
and Risperidone are meant to antagonize serotonin and dopamine in the central nervous system. An
antagonistic drug binds to the

  • 2. Group Policy Paper For Profits Institutions Group Policy Paper For Profits Institutions Policy: Complete College Tennessee Act of 2010 Relevant History Higher education attainment is one important parameter of national competitiveness in today s increasing global world. Compare to 1990, today, the rank of U.S. in the world in four year degree attainment dropped from the 1st to the 12th. Therefore, President Obama set a new goal for the United States to be first in the world again in college attainment by 2020, in order to remain global competitive, and fulfill the needs of the growing new jobs which requires more education of the new economy (The White House, n.d.). President Obama and Secretary of Education Arne announced the United States Department of Education s Race to the Top competition, a $4.35 billion incentive program designed to make drastic reforms and improvements in education and student performance, as a part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. After a rigorous competition with other states, Tennessee emerged as one of the two states awarded Race to the Top funding and will receive $501 million over the next four years (The Public Agenda for Tennessee Higher Education 2010 2015, 2011). • 3. Essay on Compare and Contrast Comedy and Tragedy Compare and Contrast Comedy and Tragedy In a comparison of comedy and tragedy, I will begin by looking at narrative. The narration in a comedy often involves union and togetherness as we see in the marriage scene at the end of Midsummer s Night Dream. William Hazlitt tells us that one can also expect incongruities, misunderstandings, and contradictions. I am reminded of the play The Importance of Being Ernest and the humor by way of mistaken identity. Sigmund Freud tells us to expect excess and exaggeration in comedy. Chekhov s Marriage Proposal displays this excess both in language and in movements. Charles Darwin insists that in a comedy circumstances must not be of a momentous nature; whereas, Northop Frye identifies ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Comic characters are often likable and sweet as Jack and Algeron in The Importance of Being Ernest. Oliver Goldsmith characterizes comic characters as being good and exceedingly generous as well as having an abundance of sentiment and feeling. Goldsmith is speaking especially of sentimental comedy, the forerunner of the sit com. Tragic characters, however, are usually of a higher class, even nobility Aristotle tells us. This seems to be more the case the further back in history we go. Oedipus fits this description far better than the characters in Desire Under the Elms. Characters in tragedy may be heroic and seem larger than life as does Hamlet. A quality of greatness is usually seen through characters in a tragedy. Comedies and tragedies also differ in their audience appeal. Hazlitt tells us when watching comedy we laugh at what disappoints our expectations in trifles. But Henri Bergson warns us to expect laughter without feeling. Bergson also believes that a group is necessary for comedy to work. George Meredith says that comedy is dependent on a society where there is social freedom and common sense. This may be why Chekhov s The Cherry Orchard is seen by some as a comedy but not by others. Since it comments on social change, the humor would be a strain for Russian audiences who lack the social freedom necessary to laugh at such ideas. Tragedy, on the other hand, evokes fear and pity according ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Social Process Theory Analysis There are five theories relating to an individual s propensity to engage in criminal activity. There are a few of these theories that are farther reaching than individual choice and genetic makeup. These three theories indicate that people can literally be a product of their environment. The sociological theory suggests that the majority of people will conform to the community with which they are living. The family and educational structure can influence and even foretell a person s inclination towards crime. For example, if a person lives in a community where the schools, neighborhoods, and other businesses and organizations are thriving economically and socially with order then the person will do the same. The person will be more likely to act in a way that is cohesive with the rest of the community. However, if the same organizations for any reason due to social or economic factors, suffer negative impact and disorder that the same person in that community will ultimately turn to negative solutions or crime for survival within the community. The social conflict theories suggest that the conflict between ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The two key social process theories are the learning theory and the control theory. The learning theory simply states that criminal activity is a learned behavior (Gaines and Miller, 2014) An individual grows up in a family and community that frequently engages in crime, then so will the individual. The control theory holds that although we all have the potential to commit crimes, most of us are dissuaded from doing so because we care about the opinions of our family and peers (Gaines and Miller, 2014) Simply put, a broken down community or even a familial support system that encourages criminal behavior is more likely to produce a ... • 5. The Importance Of Behaviour-Based Safety According to the Cambridge Centre for Behaviour Studies, (n.d., P1) Behavioural safety is the application of behavioural research on human performance to the problems of the safety in the workplace. Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) is an approach based on research of people s behaviour (what they do and why they do it) and applies scientific theories into practical problems. (HSA0392, 2017) It is also described as a bottom up approach (H. L. Kaila, 2008), because frontline workers help manager to observe co worker and make suggestions. For a more broader term, BBS is about everyone s behaviour, not just the frontline (Agnew and Ashworth, 2012) definition A BBS approach is based on solid principles (HAS, 2017). Harvard psychologist B.F Skinner (1940s) is pioneer in this area who discovers the principles of behavioural science. These principles are applied in institutional and education fields in late 1960s. It is not until 1970s that industrial applications is in Skinnerian behavioural science. Starting in 1984, Monsanto used Behavioural methods for accident prevention (Thomas, John, and Stanley,1990) (Rafiq M.Choudhry, 2014) and Behaviour Based Safety (BBS) has proven to be an effective tool for the reduction workplace accidents and is slightly adjusted due to the change in business climate.(Proactive Safety 2017)History Part 2How BBS reduce injury in workplace? • 6. Health Risks Associated With The Additives You Are What You Eat Do you read the labels on the products you buy? Do you know what is put in the food you consume? There are many health risks associated with the additives in products. Most Americans are unaware of the risks that are linked with the additives in commonly purchased products. My daughter was one year old when I realized she was allergic to artificial coloring. One morning we woke up and I made us a toasty bagel. I topped the warm crunchy bagel with light pink, strawberry, cream cheese. We enjoyed our bagel as we watched Sunday morning cartoons. Suddenly I noticed her face was as red as a cherry. In a panic I took her to the bathroom to check for other symptoms. She was red from head to toe with red raised bumps all over. I immediately called the doctor, who advised me to take her to the emergency room. After the doctor examined her she told us it was a food allergy. I realized she broke out after eating food that contained artificial coloring. Once I started to look at labels, to avoid buying harmful products, I realized almost everything contained added coloring. Many manufactures over use artificial coloring in the United States, which can lead to serious health problems. Americans need to become aware of what is added to our food, and ban artificial coloring. How can we find a solution to a problem, if most of us are UN aware that a problem exists? First, we must find out what is in artificial colors. Artificial color, food color, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. The Road Not Taken Research Paper Essay The Road Not Taken is a very popular poem written by the renowned poet Robert Frost. This poem tells a story of a man caught between two diverged roads and uncertain on which path he should take. These two roads are quite obviously metaphors for the different paths you can take in life, but what is less obvious is which path the narrator should take, and which he should leave behind. Throughout the poem the narrator is constantly second guessing himself on which of the two roads he should take. He reassures himself by saying that one of the roads seemed more grassy than the other and also seemed less traveled upon. But shortly after he reveals that in actuality the two roads were both quite the same. In the end he finally makes a decision but shows much regret after making it. This poem may not be much of a fairytale but Robert Frost does have a theme behind this story, which is to make the best of your opportunities. Since you can obviously not be able to see the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the first line of the poem Frost already begins to lay out his setting for the reader saying, Two roads diverged in a yellow wood (1). Even though the roads are not any different from each other, the details the narrator gives makes even the reader for a moment believe that one is better than the other. • 8. Arguments Against Full Inclusion One of the biggest controversies in the United States education system is whether or not full inclusion should be practiced in all schools. There are various reasons why people are for or against full inclusion. The Learning Disabilities Association of America (2012) defines full inclusion as, a popular policy/practice in which all students with disabilities, regardless of the nature or the severity of the disability and need for related services, receive their total education within the regular education classroom in their home school (p. 1). Full inclusion is a policy in which the ultimate goal is to eliminate the need of pull out programs. When children are separated in schools, they begin to believe that one group is better than the other. More often than not, elementary aged students refer to the special education students as the mental ones. Although children do not intentionally negatively judge their peers, the segregation in school systems makes them believe that is why they are separated. Batchelor and Taylor stated, Social interaction within the peer culture is the basis from which friendships develop (Guralnick, 1981), and is an important medium through which language, cognitive and social learning takes place (Guralnick 1981; McEvoy Odom, 1987) (p. 1). Students need social interaction with their peers in order to make friends and develop social skills. When students with disabilities are all in one room together, they are not being exposed to the people they will talk to in the real world, and therefore will not develop proper social skills. When regular education students are integrated with students with disabilities, they become much more accepting of people with differences. They make new friends and learn how to accommodate for those who need extra help. Keeping children separated plays a role on the reputation and mental health of those with disabilities. Abrams, Hogg, and Marques (2005) stated, Whereas the experience of inclusion is frequently accompanied by positive emotions, the experience of being excluded typically leads to negative emotions, including sadness, loneliness, jealousy, anger, shame, and anxiety (Baumeister Tice, 1990; Leary,1990) (p. 64). Children are not born with hatred in their hearts. They are accepting of everyone until they are taught to hate. Keeping students with disabilities separated from students without them is teaching students that they are different and one group is more capable than the other. This piece was made in a face to face art class, where one of my first projects was a to paint a piece modeled after any work from an artist of my choice. Flowers are something I have always drawn or painted, usually my go to, so this seemed like an obvious choice for me. Unfortunately, I am unable to find the original painting I was examining for my project, but Van Gogh had many pieces under that particular style. Two of history s greatest thinkers Lao tzu, authors of the Tao te Ching, and Niccolo Machiavelli, author of The Prince have similar but very contrasting ideas of government, and how people should be governed. As he explains, And men are less hesitant about harming someone who makes himself loved than one who makes himself feared because love is held together by a chain of obligation which, since men are a sorry lot, is broken on every occasion in which their own self interest is concerned: but fear is held together by dread of punishment which will never abandon you (p.46). In Men and Women as Represented in Medieval Literature in Society by Anita Kay O Pry Reynolds Renolds you can find a different way of how women men were supposed to act during the Medieval time period. She finds evidence from different Medieval works of literatures to help support her thesis. O Pry Reynolds uses some details from Beowulf, Lancelot, Knight of the Cart, and Sir Gawain and The Green Knight to show the different gender roles between men and women. Chaucer writes about the Women from bath who had five husbands. It was very rare for women to have more than one husband because they didn t believe in divorce. Men and women from the middle ages had different roles in society that they had to live up to. The gender rules they had to abide by was very strict. It was considered not normal to step outside of the bounds of the gender roles assigned to them. (O Pry Reynolds 41). It was not usual for women to do the roles of a man and vice versa. Just like in The Prologue to The Canterbury Tales the nun and the monk would never be caught doing each other s job. The women in middle age were vessels of chastity, purity, and good ness. This meant that the ladies would not go lay in bed with any and every man they met. They would find the one and be loyal to him till death. The men during this time would go on quest to show off how strong they were. The supporting roles in Medieval literature for men and women had been very different. The men were always the ones looking for a battle to fight if not n their own village then in other lands. (O Pry Reynolds 38). Men could only be the heroes in Medieval Literature by who he is, his quest, and his victories (O Pry Reynolds 37). If this was not the case for some men they could not be heroes. • 15. Background Of The Problem Of Opium Background of the Problem Opium is one of the key ingredients that is required when making Heroin. Once the milky fluid has been cut from the poppy seed, it is then scraped off and set to air dry, producing what we know today as opium. The opium is then vigorously stirred in with a calcium solution and hot water and then is supposed to settle for a few hours. Once the opium has been settled, the top which contains the morphine is extracted from the rest of the liquid. The morphine residue is then dried which results in a brown morphine base. A chemical solution can be added at this time in addition with heat until the solution turns black. When cooled down and quenched with water, the impurities of the substance are removed. In a separate container, sodium carbonate is dissolved in water, then added to the morphine base solution to create a Heroin based solution. However, on the streets of Dayton, to make more of a profit off a cheaper substance, it is mostly sold by gel caps which are not as high quality. This results in unnatural substances and chemicals being included in the cheap heroin product, creating a major reason why addicts are dying from the drug. Records show that within Montgomery County the number of heroin overdose has significantly increased over time. Society is taking a destructive approach by punishing those who abuse drugs like heroin rather than treating the addiction as a disease that is needing to be cured. Oddly, Gilgamesh never effectively utilized his assets for the betterment of his people; rather he used it for his own wishes. Despite, his abusive kingship, there was always an overarching restorer of balance overtly seen through the themes of love, immortality, religion, gods wrath, and womanly intervention. Ultimately, kings in Mesopotamia had absolute power, but once it was abused, the gods intervened to restore order. The narratives, tablet by tablet, served to critique the perception of kingship. King Gilgamesh, ruler of Uruk, was as petrifying as one could imagine; in modern terms he would be labeled a terrorist. Yes, in some respects he fulfilled his role as king; he built the great infrastructure of Uruk for his citizens, but that in it of itself was not sufficient because his evils overweighed his good doings. • 17. STI Surveillance System Analysis Evaluation of the Summerville County STI Surveillance System Introduction An STI Surveillance report was recently completed for Summerville County and its subsequent cities, and now, an evaluation is necessary to examine how well the system operates to meet its purpose and objectives (Lee et al., 2010). Public health surveillance systems should be evaluated periodically, and recommendations for improving quality in the system will be provided (Lee et al., 2010). The purpose of evaluating public health surveillance systems is to ensure that problems of public health importance are being monitored efficiently and effectively (CDC, 2001). Results that are generated from surveillance systems are not always free of errors; therefore, an evaluation is essential to produce a high quality STI surveillance system for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV AIDS, and Syphilis programs. Evaluating these errors and shortcomings will allow for higher accuracy in results and will further lend a hand in disseminating findings in an efficient and timely fashion. The analysis being provided, as well as other reports, will drastically play a role in helping Summerville with the burden of STIs. It is important to assess the quality of the surveillance system in order to maintain relevant surveillance data, otherwise time, money, and effort will have gone to waste. ... To discuss how the themes of beauty and mortality are intertwined in Romantic poetry I will be focusing on one major Romantic poet, William Wordsworth. According to the Oxford Dictionary, Beauty is defined as a beautiful or pleasing thing or person in particular, and a combination of qualities such as shape, colour, or form that pleases the aesthetic senses especially sight. Mortality is defined as the state being subject to death. To intertwine these themes it would mean having a theme that describes the beauty in all things, characters, nature, scenery and how these will all die and fade away but the ... He asks she never forget how, after five years, he returned, and felt a greater love for the beautiful place because she was with him. The theme of memory is also very central to this poem. He not only visited Tintern Abbey, he remembered it. Wordsworth himself knows that he will always have these fond memories for the rest of his life and now, with this poem everyone who reads it will also be able to share, somewhat, what he experienced. The realism of the poem is clear to us because the iambic pentameter resembles spoken English, thus making us feel more connected to it. To My Sister is a poem dedicated to Dorothy. It is sensuous evoking our senses of sight, smell and touch, once again reinforcing beauty within nature. Wordsworth wants his sister to come outside and enjoy the openness with him and seize the day. There is an urgency and excitement to his request. It is created with the use of an exclamation mark. He tells his sister that their hearts will make silent laws if they allow themselves time to enjoy the beautiful spring weather. Some silent laws our hearts will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

What is this alarming issue that we all hear about in the news almost everyday and are being warned about it because about every action of our daily life has an impact on it? Air pollution is the introduction of foreign particles into the atmosphere that can have detrimental effects on human, animals, plants and the planet Earth itself (Dalisay, C). Air pollution not only affects our health but also has huge impact on the well being of the planet we live on, from it s climate to it s very tiny species.
