A Study On The Cardiac Rhythm
Introduction: The electrocardiogram remains the single most important tool for interpretation of the
cardiac rhythm. 1 It can be used to successfully pick up conduction abnormalities, rhythm
disturbances, possible myocardial ischemia, and a slew of other abnormalities that can be linked to
various cardiac or metabolic diseases. 1,2 ECGs can also be used as a preventive tool to screen for
abnormalities early in the disease process. 3,4 In 1982, Italy passed a law that all individuals who
want to compete in competitive sports undergo a clinical evaluation that included an assessment of
family history, person history, a physical exam, and an electrocardiogram. The bulk of the evaluation
relied heavily on the ECG looking for any abnormalities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This program recruited community volunteers to perform the ECGs and were given a standardized
training on how to correctly obtain one. The ECGs were then interpreted by 6 cardiologists
experienced in adolescent ECGs. Among the 32,561 screened, 2.5% had abnormal ECGs. The
importance of this study was to show that mass ECG screenings can be efficiently obtained and still
yield quality results when assessing for risk factors for SCA. This study reported that the cost per
ECG was only $8.67, which is more proof of why ECG screening should become a standardized
preventive modality. ECGs can play an essential role in monitoring the status of a patient and for
recognizing trends in the patients progression. Fesmire et al5 reported that serial ECGs were more
sensitive for evaluating acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) than
an initial ECG. Serial ECGs were 68.1% more sensitive for identifying AMI compared to 55.4% using
an initial ECG. For ACS, serial ECGs were 34.2% more sensitive compared to 27.5% for an initial
ECG. The purpose of this ECG workshop is to teach people to be proficient at reading ECGs. The
amount of information that an individual can obtain from an ECG can be extremely beneficial in
helping with diagnosis of patients or determining the proper treatment. This workshop will include
hands on learning, lecture, and worksheets to help individuals develop skills on recognizing variations

Thinkers of the Enlightenment Essay
Enlightenment
The Enlightenment era was a new intellectual movement that stressed reason and thought and the
power of individuals to solve problems. Even though different philosophers approached their goal
differently, they achieved it none the less. They all approached their goal differently due to their
different upbringings, their different backgrounds, and most importantly their different environments.
A few among the many enlightened thinkers were Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Baron Do
Montesquieu, and Jean Jacques Rousseau. While some of their idea s are not used in modern society,
they were all instrumental to the modern society we live in today.

Without him we might have strayed to an absolute dictatorship the likes of which was suggested by
Thomas Hobbes.
Enlightenment thinkers challenged authority by speaking their mind to say the very least. They spoke
their mind, instigated riots, and told people to change their own government. The fact that they
preached their mind alone without regard of consequence is enough evidence that they challenged
authority. Although many individuals were persecuted and intimidated into keeping quiet, they were
not scarred by their respective governments and it is for that reason that we enjoy the fruits of their
labor. Had they not endeavored so, and had they trembled in the face of adversity, we might be living
in a country without any centralized government at all.
Despite the fact that there were countless enlightenment thinkers, there are still many identifiable
similarities between various of them. For example Thomas Hobbes and Jean Jacques Rousseau both
believed in the need for a social contract, and in individualism. They both disagreed on how to go
about these things. Thomas Hobbes described an absolute monarchy with limited rights. Jean Jacques
Rousseau on the other hand described an democracy with unalienable rights. These two thinkers are a
perfect example who thought of different ideals, practiced them in different ways, but nonetheless
helped shape the world we live in today.

The Role of Sight, Scent, and Sound by the White-tailed Deer
Use and relative role of sight, scent, and sound by white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) to locate
and select between different types of foods
Introduction
The foraging habits of white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus; hereafter deer) have been
extensively researched. Studies have evaluated seasonal influence as well as other environmental
influences on forage selection by deer (Moen 1981, Rogers et al. 1981, McCullough 1985, and
others). However, no such research has ever tested to determine what senses deer use to locate and
select between different food types or the relative importance of each sense involved in that process.
We are missing much of the basic knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to the sensory
capabilities of deer (D Angelo et al. 2006). Information from this type of research is becoming
increasingly important to wildlife biologists, as they can use it to improve other forage selection
studies aimed at reducing crop depredation or other wildlife damage. So little is known about the role
of sight, smell, and sound in deer ability to locate and select between forage types, therefore
quantitative information in this area of research needs further attention (Sayre et al. 1992). By
understanding the importance of each sense in the location and selection of different food types by
deer, new studies can be set up that focus on the most important sense, while also considering what
effects the other senses have on their behavior. As

Pros And Cons Of Cremation
Cremation has been used though the ages as a method used by men to accomplish the disposition of
human remains. First made popular by the Greeks as it meant setting the soul free, it has been banned
as taboo by many but still today it rates its most popular status yet. In America the last taken statistic
was between 32 and 40 who favored cremation as an alternative to a burial. This number has quickly
risen from a mere 5 percent in 1972, and not without cause. Today we will be talking about cremation
and where its future lies. From the pros to the cons, the options today and the alternative options in the
future. First lets talk a little about what cremation is. By definition, The use of high temperature

Now that we know well what cremation is lets get into some things surrounding it.
The Pros There are many pros to choosing cremation, things that vary and have credible value. First
lets talk about how inexpensive it can be compared to a burial. The average cost of cremation in the
U.S is somewhere between 800 and 3000 dollars. This varies greatly by state and can have many
factors such as who is picking up the body, if you are going through a funeral home, do you want to
have a viewing ( if so you might need to have the body embalmed which would add a cost) ect.
The average cost of a burial is somewhere between 6000 and 12000 dollars also varying in many
places. Sometimes just having a less expensive option can make a lot of difference depending on the
families individual situation. Other advantages include having a more portable form a lost family
member. Something you can take with you should you choose to move or want to even scatter the
ashes in a way which honors the deceased. Some might argue that is proves more eco friendly than
burials, taking less space in the ground and with the use of less chemicals. The Cons
Like all things there are positives and there are the negatives too. Some including not having the
option of a second autopsy should the deceased have had a suspicious cause of death. Some might also
argue that cremation is not so eco friendly either with the gases being released into the air holding
chemicals such as mercury,

Corruption In I Claudius
I, Claudius is a fictional autobiography written in the voice of the fourth Roman Emperor, Tiberius
Claudius Drusus Nero Germanicus Claudius for short. The story recounts the period of the founding
of the Roman Empire to the coronation of Claudius himself; but, as seen from the perspective of
Claudius an adamant republican the Roman Empire is one that is doomed to fall, prophesied by the
Sibyl of Cumae, due to political instability and dangerous power struggles. Similar to the Roman
Empire of I, Claudius, the Britain of King Lear also falls into a state of political chaos akin to anarchy;
the sudden abdication of Lear and his senility ultimately bring about the unravelling of his family,
followers, and kingdom. The following power struggles in Rome and Britain lead to the corruption of
many individuals in their respective time periods. Both I, Claudius by Robert Graves and King Lear
by William Shakespeare, set during times of political turbulence, suggest that the competition for and
possession of power can corrupt and alter individuals and society. Both works are set in times of
political turbulence, times in which people would seize the opportunity to gain absolute power or at
least an upper hand over others. In I, Claudius, Livia, Claudius grandmother, proves to be an
incredibly ambitious woman, with the political acumen to match. Before the birth of the Roman
Empire, the Second Triumvirate, consisting of Mark Antony, Lepidus, and Octavian (at that time),

Anti Depressants And Its Impact On Indigenous People s...
If you are suffering with depression, what would you do in order to heal yourself? The typical
Canadian would suggest going to the doctor and being prescribed anti depressants. Canadians believe
clinical medicine can heal almost anyone and anything with the proper resources and knowledge.
What if we are wrong? What if participation in traditional ceremonies and healing practices is what
can heal anyone or anything? There are many indications that Indigenous ways of healing are efficient
and beneficial. This leads to the history of how the western society stripped them of their rights to
follow these traditions, and how that may have had a great impact on Indigenous people s health
spiraling downhill. Indigenous people are strong ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Indigenous people were only ever exposed to their illnesses, and therefore discovered and followed
their traditional healing ways. However, their traditional medicine practices were viewed as inferior to
Europeans, frowned upon, or even banned, which lead Indigenous health to deteriorate. Modernized
western medicine focuses on the illness, symptoms, and cures, compared to Indigenous medicines,
which focus on the balance of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being, and not
specifically curing the illness, but healing from the illness and determining the causes of the illness.
According to Centre for Social Justice, David Skinner, a white man says
it is our belief that because our white man s medicine is very technical oriented, very symptom
oriented, very drug and surgery oriented, that it lacks something that Native medicine has, which we
desperately need but don t practice; spiritually... in many of these things we were talking about family
violence, alcohol abuse, trauma, suicide I believe that the Native public health nurses, Native nurses,
Native doctors would have that in their approach as well a spiritual component (Health Care, para. 4).

Aldol Condensation Lab

Experiment 9: Aldol Condensation
Discussion
In this experiment, an aldol condensation reaction will be performed using two different carbonyl
compounds to form a beta hydroxy carbonyl compound. Specifically, acetophenone and p
anisaldehyde will react to form trans p anisalacetonphenone. An aldol condensation reaction is an
addition reaction that consists of one of the carbonyl compounds being converted into an enol or
enolate, and attacking the second carbonyl carbon to form a C C bond. An enol is a hydrocarbon with
a double bond, with an alcohol group on one of the double bond carbons. An enolate is formed when
an enol is deprotonated, creating a structure that is stabilized by resonance of the double bond as it
interacts with the remaining oxygen.
The alpha carbon, which is the carbon adjacent to the carbonyl carbon in a carbonyl compound is ...

This introduces complications, since either compound can form enolates, or provide the electrophilic
carbon, giving a range of products. In this reaction, there are two possible enolates and two possible
carbonyl carbons, as the enolates can react with protonated versions of themselves, or the other
compound. In order to obtain the desired product, the different parts of the reaction should have been
physically separated. First, the enolate should have been produced using LDA, an extremely strong
base that shifts the reaction strongly to the product side, with a Keq of about 1019. Had a weaker base
been used, equilibrium between the enolate and the product formed by the enolate reacting with itself
would have been established with a Keq of about 10 4, which strongly favors the reactant side,
resulting in less enolate yield. After enolate was produced using LDA, the second carbonyl compound
would be added, allowing for correct product formation, as ideally only one electronegative carbon
would be present.

Historical Backdrop of Military Robots
The historical backdrop of military robots could be followed over to the times of World War II.
Throughout the time of World War II and the Cold War, these robots were as German Goliath followed
and Soviet teletanks. It is additionally accepted that military robots history might be gone once again
to the nineteenth century, absolutely in 1898. The history starts with the innovation of radio controlled
watercraft proposed for military use by Nicola Tesla. He offered his development to US naval force to
prepare radio controlled torpedoes yet the war fleet declined his offer. Later, he offered his creation to
the United Kingdom.
The following critical step that gives a defining moment in the historical backdrop of military robots
was in 1930 ties in the Soviet Union. Soviet Union made a remote controlled tank called as teletank .
Later on the tank s control framework was altered and to control the tank electric transfers and radio
signs were utilized. Contingent upon climate and different conditions teletank could be controlled
from 500 1500m away. The teletanks were furnished with DT automatic rifles, flamethrowers and
smoke holder to give a smokescreen.
The utilized of Goliath which is a portable landmine in World War II by the Third Reich s strengths

Analysis Of Jan Johnson s The Soul Wound
Finding Redemption
Music has always been regarded as an art of high importance. The word itself originates from the
Greek word mousike meaning of the muses , the group of nine Greek Goddesses who regulate the arts
and sciences. It has often been used as a way to heal mental and emotional pain; music speaks directly
to the body through intuitive channels that are accessed at entirely different levels of consciousness
from those associated with cognition (The Music Effect.24). In Jan Johnson s Soul Wound, Johnson
discusses the historical trauma of Native Americans and the rage that is associated with it. This rage,
as she later states, is generally turned inward and expressed through depression, anxiety, substance
abuse, and suicide, and manifested externally within families and communities through domestic and
other forms of violence (Johnson.226 227). In Wabanaki Blues by Melissa Tantaquidgeon Zobel we
see this rage internalized and portrayed in the depression of both Mona and her mother and depicted in
their family dynamic through the neglect of Mona s mother towards Mona. Mona, as well as other
characters in the book, utilize music as a form of therapy to heal the soul. The characters in Wabanaki
Blues utilize music to heal in ways that parallels Bob Marley s Redemption Song and the Rastafarian
religion.

and her path in finding herself. She is a Native American of the

I used to pick a random spot and wonder what was there in the old days and I would often pick up a

motivators at the start of a project he invites team members to prioritise these factors using a paired

needs are being met to determine their job satisfaction quotient and what actions might be appropriate
to enhance their motivation levels. However, different things motivate different people at different

7. Effectiveness and Efficiency. These two terms have different meanings, described in our textbook
Management Foundations (Bartol, Tein, Matthews, Sharma and Scott Ladd, pg 12, 2011) thus:
Effectiveness is the ability to choose appropriate goals and achieve them. So essentially, this means
doing the right things heading in the right direction. Whereas, Efficiency is the ability to make the best
use of available resources in goal achievement. So essentially the means doing the things right
conserving resources. The two concepts are illustrated by the following

Effects Of Musculoskeletal Palpation On Athletic Training...
To evaluate injuries, musculoskeletal palpation is taught in many athletic training programs.
Oftentimes, the focus is on accuracy of surface anatomy landmarks instead of the ability to
discriminate qualitative information such as, tissue tone, spasm, or pain response from the soft tissue.
Palpation is a large foundation for evaluation and intervention, a need to further the development of
this skill exists. Due to this the integration of tasks to improve palpation skills throughout athletic
training curriculum may help improve student confidence, accuracy and precision while performing
patient evaluation and manual medicine interventions. Recent research has proven that stereognosis
drills can improve student s palpation skills and provide advanced training to better refine palpation
skills. Below, the definition of stereognosis will be defined, as well as, altering techniques to perform
these drills. 1
The use of manual medicine has become increasingly popular in the profession of athletic training.
This occurs because athletic trainers are seeking new ways to rehabilitate their patients. Typically,
these techniques require the athletic trainer to palpate superficial and deep structures of the body with
great accuracy and discrimination. Ironically, many athletic trainers and students report difficulty with
their personal abilities to feel and discriminate the local soft tissue. Stereognosis is a concept first
introduced by Hoffman, as an individual s ability to

Williams Social Errors In Writing
Williams defines social errors as errors ...that violate our personal space. He uses this definition to as a
base to define errors in writing. Williams argues that while handbooks claim many different types of
errors, the only ones that qualify as errors are the ones that make the reader stumble. Writing that is
free from errors should read smoothly. The reader should not be violated mentally by the work. The
reader should be able to understand the work.
Williams wanted to point out that unless the reader is looking for errors, they are not likely to find any.
Williams argues that the only errors we should be concerned with is the ones that hinder
understanding. Errors that cause confusion, or difficulty for the reader. In the real

Anesthesia In Civil War
In the 1860s, disease was a very big issue within the Civil War hospitals. Of every soldier who had
died in battle, two had died with disease. One of the treatments used in the Civil War was the usage of
anesthesia and chloroform. Aputations were made to those soldiers with the most untreatable wounds.
It s important to understand that the hospitals back then weren t the cleanest, and in no way looked
like the hospitals we have today. Civil war hospitals didn t save as many lives as you would have
expected. Since civil war hospitals had only a couple of procedures and very little medicine; the
soldiers relied on grit and chance, not medicine to cure them. One of the techniques doctors in civil
war hospitals used was a drug called anesthesia. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Civil War, hospitals were unsanitary and crowded with many hospital beds full of patients. The
army relied on male nurses more than female nurses even though most of them were untrained (
Hospitals, Surgeons, 2002). Surgeons in the Civil war usually didn t really have clue what they were
doing. Nobody knows what antiseptics were used, or that they know the relation of dirt to infection (
Hospitals, Surgeons, 2002). Most physicians had a very limited understanding of the importance of
sterilization and the risks of infection, and little practice treating the kinds of major cases seen during
the war. ( History of Medicine, 2011). Plus, anesthesia came into use halfway through the Civil War,
and some drugs were inadequate ( Hospitals, Surgeons, 2002). Perhaps the least unreliable statistics
for the Union armies give 67,000 killed in action, 43,000 died of wounds, and 224,000 died of disease;
an additional 24,000 are listed as dead from other causes doubtless either wounds Or disease. (
Hospitals, Surgeons, 2002). The hospitals beds were packed so close together that disease that was
caught by one veteran could have been caught by another and passed on. The sanitation of Civil War
hospitals and the lack of medicine needed for veterans was abysmal. But for these hospitals being in

Karl Marx And The History Of Marxism
Chapter 1: In this chapter I m going to explain a brief introduction to Karl Marx and the history of
Marxism. Karl Marx, who was a German philosopher, economist, sociologist, journalist and
revolutionary socialist created the theory of Marxism. Marx was born in Trier, Germany in 1818 and
died in London in 1883. The social struggles in Marxs family were apparent before he was even born,
ancestrally Jewish, he came from a long line rabbis on both sides of his family. His father, who was a
lawyer converted to the Protestant denomination of Lutheranism, which was the predominant sect in
Germany and Prussia at the time, in order to escape the constraints of Pre Nazi anti Semitic
legislation. Marx started Trier High School in 1830, after having been home schooled by his father.
The headmaster Hugo Wyttenbach, who was a friend of his fathers, employed many liberal humanists
as teachers which the conservative government at the time strongly opposed leading to the police
raiding the school in 1832, discovering literature supporting political liberalism had been distributed
amongst the students. This being considered as such a heinous crime the authorities took it upon
themselves to institute reforms and replaced several members of staff during Marx s attendance at the
school. Marx attended the University of Bonn in 1835, aged 17, wanting to study philosophy; his
father disagreed with this and believed that law would be a more appropriate field of study. In his time

Why Is Rock N Roll So Popular
he music we today call rock n roll is a huge icon of the 50 s era. Emerging onto the music scene with
legends such as Elvis Presley in its wake. This is where it all started. After WWII, a quarter of
Americans moved. This gave urban music a new southern, sacred sound. This music started and found
it s roots in places such as Memphis, New York, Detroit, Baltimore, and many other places. This new
sound was, as historian Charlie Gillett said, The sound of the city. Rock N Roll combined the styles of
country, R B, gospel and the blues. Part of the social aspect of why this new music sound was so
popular, is the young audiences that were firsthand exposed to it. Many critics of the time were
dismissing rock as simply too crude and raw to ever make it big. But most realized their mistakes
when musicians such as Chuck Berry and Little Richard were starting to make it onto the radio

Preventing Underage Drinking
It s both dangerous and against the law, but young people between the ages of 12 and 20 are
responsible for 11 percent of the alcohol consumed annually in the United States. Underage drinking
also accounts for more than 4,300 deaths of young people in the U.S. each year. Here are some signs
that may indicate a teenager has been abusing alcohol. Major red flags include differences in sleep
patterns, appetite, and change of friends or physical appearance. When teens fall in with a social circle
that drinks heavily, they may display a change in attitude and hang out in places and with people they
did not associate with before. They may also lose interest in activities they used to participate in.

support their family to do anything college related. Life at school is just as difficult as life at home.
Sometimes the professor won t give make up work or extensions, even though the student has a valid
excuse. He or she could have been working, or be at a doctor appointment, etc. life between these two
worlds can affect the student in many ways. For example, when a first generation college student is

Muhammad Ali Hero
Muhammad Ali, a Hero for Many
Muhammad Ali, born as Cassius Marcellus Clay, is a hero for many people. Cassius lived in a time
where black people were considered inferior to white men. I remember one time when Cassius was
small, Mrs. Clay later recalled. We were downtown at a five and ten cents store. He wanted a drink of
water, and they wouldn t give him one because of his color. That really affected him. He didn t like
that at all, being a child and thirsty. He started crying, and I said, Come on; I ll take you someplace
and get you some water. But it really hurt him. (http://www.gilderlehrman.org/history by era/civil

Perception Of Blind And Fair Justice
Despite the appealing notion of blind and fair justice, many question the existence of this ideal in
reality and rightly so. Many of the challenges to law s claim of impartiality concern the influence of
social characteristics such as race or sex when they should be irrelevant. Marc Galanter introduces a
more structural argument, related to the frequency with which one litigates, bringing disputes before a
court. Galanter claims that those who regularly engage in similar litigation, whom he labels repeat
players (RPs) have multiple advantages over one shotters (OSs), who rarely enter the forum of law,
where courts interpret and apply official rules to settle disputes, in their ability to achieve desired legal
outcomes. The fact that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Though not all repeat players are necessarily society s haves some of the residents of the urban
neighborhood studied by Sally Engle Merry are examples of exceptions in American society, most are.
One often thinks of haves and have nots in terms of material differences, but where Galanter adds the
most value to the discussion of inequality is his explanation of the more dynamic advantages that
come from more frequent legal engagement and which continually reinforce this inequality.
Part of Galanter s project in identifying the mechanism behind systematic biases in the courts is his
desire to prescribe potential avenues for reform. It is not only important to recognize that the haves
come out ahead but also why they do. Though he does discuss tangible differences in resources,
including access to specialized knowledge, those factors alone can miss the less tangible benefits that
certain parties enjoy. For example, due to their ongoing contact with the court, RPs uniquely have the
opportunity to become more embedded in the community of legal actors and build social capital
through these informal relationships. Though Eisenstein, Flemming, and Nardulli specifically study
county criminal courts in their study, their observations of the unique cultures of court communities
can extend to the forum of law more broadly. They note that membership in such a community allows
for trust to be established and credit to be built.

The Gay as a Literary Figure in The Picture of Dorian Gray
This paper shall explore the gay as a literary figure based on Oscar Wilde s The Picture of Dorian
Gray. The aim of the essay is threefold. Firstly, to show how the gay is related to two of the most
potent archetypal images: those of Dionysos and Apollo. Secondly, to demonstrate that the Wildean
gay is profoundly afraid of life, and that his interest in form and aesthetic proportion rests on a
principle of evasion. Thirdly, to contend that the humor in this novel, and by extension also in Wilde s
plays, is a symptom of the author s fascination with an archetypal gay.
The Picture of Dorian Gray revolves around Dorian s dual nature. On the one hand, he is the ... Show

(Book IV, lines 17 ff.)
It is extraordinary how many of these epithets, such Ovid s puer aeternus, also describe Dorian, and
Dorian, but these parallels are unlikely to have been intended. That Dorian is invested with the
attributes of Dionysos is, however, corroborated in the novel. The morning after he cold bloodedly
turns his back on Sibyl Vane, he checks to see whether Basil s portrait has really altered. It has and he
immediately understands what this signifies for him:
Eternal youth, infinite passion, pleasures subtle and secret, wild joys and wilder sins he was to have all
these things. The portrait was to bear the burden of his shame: that was all. (105)
The young man who realizes this has known only the passions of an adolescent s dreams. In other
words, he believes that, under normal circumstances, such pleasures would stain him, not only
morally, but physically. And so he prays that he may enjoy every pleasure which life can offer him,
and yet remain unmarked by his experience. Such passions as those he wants to enjoy are associated
with Dionysos. This is confirmed toward the end of the novel, when Lord Henry, following their
discussion of Basil s murder, says to Dorian:

Jazz History Concert Report On The Concert
Jazz History Concert Report
The date of the concert was October 5, 2016 and the title of the concert is Experimental Improvisation
with: Kjell Nordeson Peter Kuhn . The concert was performed in Mesa College Music building. Peter
Kuhn had three instruments with him a bass clarinet, saxophone, and a Bb Clarinet. He used the bass
clarinet and the saxophone during his first piece, and the clarinet on the second piece. Kjell Nordeson
was on the drum but had a lot of instruments with him. Sometimes he would play the drums as a
drums set but sometimes he would put some sort of objects on top of the drum to create different
sound effects. He also had a small glockenspiel and a flexatone. The concert hall was very simple, had

It is a formless music, but because the performers are quite literally composing in the moment, there
were three noticeable sections in the piece. The first part was developing an idea, slowly getting used
to each other s sounds, sometimes gentle and sometime aggressive. Beginning of the improvisation the
drumbeat is simple but rather random. There is no set pattern that I could find, but the tom tom pattern
was rather similar so I think that was the main motif. The bass clarinet also started an idea, a 6 note
pattern downward without any tonal center. He slowly develops this idea by playing a similar patters,
or sequence, to concrete the idea for the audience but slightly mutating the motif little by little each
time he plays it. He never plays the same way again. As the bass clarinet gets more active by
increasing the amount of notes played and the intensity of the tone, the drum slowly matches the bass
clarinet in aggressiveness. The drum plays very sudden loud snare drum occasionally, creating tension
in the music with already atonal bass clarinet. Then the drummer starts to put a cymbal and a pad on
two different drums to create a very dull thick sound. The bass clarinet and the drum both
simultaneously becomes very aggressive, loud, and complex at this point. Bass clarinet sounds very
similar to a saxophone at this point. The drummer still

Scientific View of Creation and the Big Bang Essay
Scientific View of Creation and the Big Bang
A common question among people is why are things the way they are? How was our world created?
There are many different theories, from a variety of views. In this paper I will discuss the scientific
view of the creation theory.
The theory that I will be discussing is the Big Bang Theory, this is currently the theory of creation
accepted by most scientists as the explanation of the beginning of the universe. The big bang theory
suggests that the universe was once extremely compact, dense, and hot. Some uncommon event, a
cosmic explosion called the big bang, occurred about 10 billion to 20 billion years ago, and the
universe has since been expanding and cooling. The theory is ... Show more content on

During the 1990 s Sky Telescope magazine ran a contest to find a better, more dignified name, but no
change was made.
The overall framework of the big bang theory remains unchanged, but some details of the theory are
still being modified today. For example, Einstein himself initially believed that the universe was static.
But when his equations seemed to show that the universe was either expanding or contracting,
Einstein added a constant term to cancel out the expansion or contraction of the universe. Then, when
the expansion of the universe was later discovered, Einstein stated that adding this cosmological
constant had been a mistake.
After Einstein s work of 1917, several scientists, including the abbé Georges Lemaître in Belgium,
Willem de Sitter in Holland, and Alexander Friedmann in Russia, came up with solutions of their own
to Einstein s field equations. The universes described by the different scientists varied. De Sitter s
model had no matter in it. This model is actually not considered to be a bad approximation since the
average density of the universe is extremely low. Lemaître s universe expanded from a primeval atom.
Friedmann s universe also expanded from a very dense clump of matter, but did not involve the
cosmological constant. These models helped explain what happened to the universe shortly after its
creation, but there

The Constitution Of The American South After The Civil War
Amendments are put in place to make changes to the U.S. Constitution to adapt a regulation or expand
on the rights of individuals and groups of people. Two amendments that play a significant role in the
United States Constitution to this very day are the 13th and 14th amendments. These amendments are
known as the reconstruction amendments because the documents were important in implementing the
Reconstruction of the American South after the Civil War. Their advocates saw them as transforming
the United States from a country that was half slave and half free to one in which the constitution
guaranteed blessings of liberty which extended to the entire populace, including the former slaves and
their descendants. The Thirteenth Amendment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A clause is a sentence in any part of our constitution. Firstly, is the citizenship Clause which gives
individual born in the United States, but especially at that time, African Americans the right to
citizenship. Secondly, the due process clause which protects the 1st amendment rights of the people
and prevents those rights from being taken away by any government without due process. Due process
is a trial by jury for all people accused of wrongdoing. Lastly, equal protection clause is the part of the
fourteenth amendment which states that there may be no discrimination against people by the law. By
directly mentioning the role of the states, the 14th Amendment greatly expanded the protection of civil
rights to all Americans.
Another essential point, was President Abraham Lincoln s position on slavery, which is one of the
central issues in American history. Lincoln often expressed disapproval towards slavery. When the
American Civil War began in 1861, President Abraham Lincoln carefully outlined the conflict of the
abolition of slavery. On September 22, soon after the Union victory at the Battle of Antietam in
Maryland, Lincoln issued an introductory Emancipation Proclamation, declaring that as of January 1,
1863, all slaves shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free. While the Emancipation Proclamation
did not free a single slave it was an important turning point in the war, transforming the fight

Die Hard Stereotypes
Die Hard is a classic action movie that shows rampant gender bias. Of the characters in the film, not
only are the majority of them men, but also the male characters have more important roles as well as
significantly more screen time. In contrast, there are only three women with names and lines, and only
one of them actually contributes substantially to the plot. Holly is an exception to the rule when it
comes to the jobs of the female characters in the movie, but not to the extent that she should be. More
importantly, the movie relies on the stereotypes of female characters for an entertaining plot. While

Notes On The Stock Market
Rookie stock market investors are those who only possess a relatively rudimentary knowledge and
experience of the investing sphere. Most of these individuals usually commence by sticking to a buy
and hold trading strategy. As a beginner, your general experience in investment trading is very limited.
This, for the most part, confines you to making no more than a couple of trades perhaps on a monthly
basis from a cash account. However, this does not necessary signify that you have not placed high
expectations on your stock market trading activities. You most likely are very interested in expanding
your knowledge as well as investment experience in order to realize the objectives you may have set.
This is all nice and good.
Nevertheless, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Beginners are normally successful during strong bull markets. But unfortunately find themselves
clueless when on tougher occasions, especially when market volatility is higher and bears happen to
rule. Well, if you deeply feel you fit this description to the T, here then are some stock market basics
for beginners, which could be useful.
Make it a point to set realistic trading objectives
Before you decide to make your very first investment, try to ask yourself the following questions. At
what point will you require the money you have invested? Will it be after 6 months, a year, 5 years or
perhaps much longer? , Are you trying to lay a nest egg for your sunset years? , Are seeking to obtain
the necessary funds to finance your college education or perhaps seeking money to buy a home? On
the other hand, do wish to establish an estate that you want to leave for your beneficiaries upon your
demise?
Whichever the case, prior to making any stock market investment, you ought to fully determine your
primary driving motivation. When you have ascertained this critical point, next consider the most
likely time in the future you might stand in need of the funds you wish to invest. Should you require
your investment back within just a couple of years, then it will be much better to consider another
investment channel. It is very important for you to fully understand that the stock market with its
volatility can

Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2014). The third demand determinant evaluated is consumer taste. Scant
information is available to gauge consumer preference for PV systems. A 2009 survey of 641
individuals and businesses in San Diego, California indicates 20 percent or fewer respondents would
have PV systems installed without an available tax rebate, and most could not afford systems
sufficiently large enough to meet all of their electrical needs (U.S. Department of Energy, 2009). The
fourth determinant evaluated is population and demographics. Again little information is available to
evaluate this determinant. In a subcontract report for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, The
Natural Marketing Institute indicates consumers in the Midwest are more price sensitive, and less
aware of their available energy options than other national regions (Rogers, 2011). Additionally, the
report states most consumers across all regions are concerned about renewable or sustainable energy
yet few act upon their concerns. The final demand determinant evaluated is consumer expectation of
future price. PV system prices are expected to decrease as photovoltaic technology evolves, and
production increases. From 2012 2016 all PV markets are expected to grow by 25 30 percent, and the
national weighted average of all system prices will drop 33 percent (Solar Energy Industries
Association, 2012). Figure 1 The graph above depicts anticipated demand for PV systems over the

  • 2. A Study On The Cardiac Rhythm Introduction: The electrocardiogram remains the single most important tool for interpretation of the cardiac rhythm. 1 It can be used to successfully pick up conduction abnormalities, rhythm disturbances, possible myocardial ischemia, and a slew of other abnormalities that can be linked to various cardiac or metabolic diseases. 1,2 ECGs can also be used as a preventive tool to screen for abnormalities early in the disease process. 3,4 In 1982, Italy passed a law that all individuals who want to compete in competitive sports undergo a clinical evaluation that included an assessment of family history, person history, a physical exam, and an electrocardiogram. The bulk of the evaluation relied heavily on the ECG looking for any abnormalities ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This program recruited community volunteers to perform the ECGs and were given a standardized training on how to correctly obtain one. The ECGs were then interpreted by 6 cardiologists experienced in adolescent ECGs. Among the 32,561 screened, 2.5% had abnormal ECGs. The importance of this study was to show that mass ECG screenings can be efficiently obtained and still yield quality results when assessing for risk factors for SCA. This study reported that the cost per ECG was only $8.67, which is more proof of why ECG screening should become a standardized preventive modality. ECGs can play an essential role in monitoring the status of a patient and for recognizing trends in the patients progression. Fesmire et al5 reported that serial ECGs were more sensitive for evaluating acute myocardial infarctions (AMI) and acute coronary syndrome (ACS) than an initial ECG. Serial ECGs were 68.1% more sensitive for identifying AMI compared to 55.4% using an initial ECG. For ACS, serial ECGs were 34.2% more sensitive compared to 27.5% for an initial ECG. The purpose of this ECG workshop is to teach people to be proficient at reading ECGs. The amount of information that an individual can obtain from an ECG can be extremely beneficial in helping with diagnosis of patients or determining the proper treatment. This workshop will include hands on learning, lecture, and worksheets to help individuals develop skills on recognizing variations on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Thinkers of the Enlightenment Essay Enlightenment The Enlightenment era was a new intellectual movement that stressed reason and thought and the power of individuals to solve problems. Even though different philosophers approached their goal differently, they achieved it none the less. They all approached their goal differently due to their different upbringings, their different backgrounds, and most importantly their different environments. A few among the many enlightened thinkers were Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, Baron Do Montesquieu, and Jean Jacques Rousseau. While some of their idea s are not used in modern society, they were all instrumental to the modern society we live in today. More then anyone else Baron do Montesquieu helped shape this country today. Baron ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without him we might have strayed to an absolute dictatorship the likes of which was suggested by Thomas Hobbes. Enlightenment thinkers challenged authority by speaking their mind to say the very least. They spoke their mind, instigated riots, and told people to change their own government. The fact that they preached their mind alone without regard of consequence is enough evidence that they challenged authority. Although many individuals were persecuted and intimidated into keeping quiet, they were not scarred by their respective governments and it is for that reason that we enjoy the fruits of their labor. Had they not endeavored so, and had they trembled in the face of adversity, we might be living in a country without any centralized government at all. Despite the fact that there were countless enlightenment thinkers, there are still many identifiable similarities between various of them. For example Thomas Hobbes and Jean Jacques Rousseau both believed in the need for a social contract, and in individualism. They both disagreed on how to go about these things. Thomas Hobbes described an absolute monarchy with limited rights. Jean Jacques Rousseau on the other hand described an democracy with unalienable rights. These two thinkers are a perfect example who thought of different ideals, practiced them in different ways, but nonetheless helped shape the world we live in today. Many people ... • 4. The Role of Sight, Scent, and Sound by the White-tailed Deer Use and relative role of sight, scent, and sound by white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus) to locate and select between different types of foods Introduction The foraging habits of white tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus; hereafter deer) have been extensively researched. Studies have evaluated seasonal influence as well as other environmental influences on forage selection by deer (Moen 1981, Rogers et al. 1981, McCullough 1985, and others). However, no such research has ever tested to determine what senses deer use to locate and select between different food types or the relative importance of each sense involved in that process. We are missing much of the basic knowledge of physiology and anatomy related to the sensory capabilities of deer (D Angelo et al. 2006). Information from this type of research is becoming increasingly important to wildlife biologists, as they can use it to improve other forage selection studies aimed at reducing crop depredation or other wildlife damage. So little is known about the role of sight, smell, and sound in deer ability to locate and select between forage types, therefore quantitative information in this area of research needs further attention (Sayre et al. 1992). By understanding the importance of each sense in the location and selection of different food types by deer, new studies can be set up that focus on the most important sense, while also considering what effects the other senses have on their behavior. • 5. Pros And Cons Of Cremation Cremation has been used though the ages as a method used by men to accomplish the disposition of human remains. First made popular by the Greeks as it meant setting the soul free, it has been banned as taboo by many but still today it rates its most popular status yet. In America the last taken statistic was between 32 and 40 who favored cremation as an alternative to a burial. This number has quickly risen from a mere 5 percent in 1972, and not without cause. Today we will be talking about cremation and where its future lies. From the pros to the cons, the options today and the alternative options in the future. First lets talk a little about what cremation is. By definition, The use of high temperature burning, oxidation and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Now that we know well what cremation is lets get into some things surrounding it. The Pros There are many pros to choosing cremation, things that vary and have credible value. First lets talk about how inexpensive it can be compared to a burial. The average cost of cremation in the U.S is somewhere between 800 and 3000 dollars. This varies greatly by state and can have many factors such as who is picking up the body, if you are going through a funeral home, do you want to have a viewing ( if so you might need to have the body embalmed which would add a cost) ect. The average cost of a burial is somewhere between 6000 and 12000 dollars also varying in many places. Sometimes just having a less expensive option can make a lot of difference depending on the families individual situation. Other advantages include having a more portable form a lost family member. Something you can take with you should you choose to move or want to even scatter the ashes in a way which honors the deceased. Some might argue that is proves more eco friendly than burials, taking less space in the ground and with the use of less chemicals. The Cons Like all things there are positives and there are the negatives too. Some including not having the option of a second autopsy should the deceased have had a suspicious cause of death. Some might also argue that cremation is not so eco friendly either with the gases being released into the air holding chemicals such as mercury, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Corruption In I Claudius I, Claudius is a fictional autobiography written in the voice of the fourth Roman Emperor, Tiberius Claudius Drusus Nero Germanicus Claudius for short. The story recounts the period of the founding of the Roman Empire to the coronation of Claudius himself; but, as seen from the perspective of Claudius an adamant republican the Roman Empire is one that is doomed to fall, prophesied by the Sibyl of Cumae, due to political instability and dangerous power struggles. Similar to the Roman Empire of I, Claudius, the Britain of King Lear also falls into a state of political chaos akin to anarchy; the sudden abdication of Lear and his senility ultimately bring about the unravelling of his family, followers, and kingdom. The following power struggles in Rome and Britain lead to the corruption of many individuals in their respective time periods. Both I, Claudius by Robert Graves and King Lear by William Shakespeare, set during times of political turbulence, suggest that the competition for and possession of power can corrupt and alter individuals and society. Both works are set in times of political turbulence, times in which people would seize the opportunity to gain absolute power or at least an upper hand over others. In I, Claudius, Livia, Claudius grandmother, proves to be an incredibly ambitious woman, with the political acumen to match. Before the birth of the Roman Empire, the Second Triumvirate, consisting of Mark Antony, Lepidus, and Octavian (at that time), ruled the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Anti Depressants And Its Impact On Indigenous People s... If you are suffering with depression, what would you do in order to heal yourself? The typical Canadian would suggest going to the doctor and being prescribed anti depressants. Canadians believe clinical medicine can heal almost anyone and anything with the proper resources and knowledge. What if we are wrong? What if participation in traditional ceremonies and healing practices is what can heal anyone or anything? There are many indications that Indigenous ways of healing are efficient and beneficial. This leads to the history of how the western society stripped them of their rights to follow these traditions, and how that may have had a great impact on Indigenous people s health spiraling downhill. Indigenous people are strong ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Indigenous people were only ever exposed to their illnesses, and therefore discovered and followed their traditional healing ways. However, their traditional medicine practices were viewed as inferior to Europeans, frowned upon, or even banned, which lead Indigenous health to deteriorate. Modernized western medicine focuses on the illness, symptoms, and cures, compared to Indigenous medicines, which focus on the balance of physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well being, and not specifically curing the illness, but healing from the illness and determining the causes of the illness. According to Centre for Social Justice, David Skinner, a white man says it is our belief that because our white man s medicine is very technical oriented, very symptom oriented, very drug and surgery oriented, that it lacks something that Native medicine has, which we desperately need but don t practice; spiritually... in many of these things we were talking about family violence, alcohol abuse, trauma, suicide I believe that the Native public health nurses, Native nurses, Native doctors would have that in their approach as well a spiritual component (Health Care, para. 4). • 8. Aldol Condensation Lab Ishaan Sangwan Experiment 9: Aldol Condensation Discussion In this experiment, an aldol condensation reaction will be performed using two different carbonyl compounds to form a beta hydroxy carbonyl compound. Specifically, acetophenone and p anisaldehyde will react to form trans p anisalacetonphenone. An aldol condensation reaction is an addition reaction that consists of one of the carbonyl compounds being converted into an enol or enolate, and attacking the second carbonyl carbon to form a C C bond. An enol is a hydrocarbon with a double bond, with an alcohol group on one of the double bond carbons. An enolate is formed when an enol is deprotonated, creating a structure that is stabilized by resonance of the double bond as it interacts with the remaining oxygen. The alpha carbon, which is the carbon adjacent to the carbonyl carbon in a carbonyl compound is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This introduces complications, since either compound can form enolates, or provide the electrophilic carbon, giving a range of products. In this reaction, there are two possible enolates and two possible carbonyl carbons, as the enolates can react with protonated versions of themselves, or the other compound. In order to obtain the desired product, the different parts of the reaction should have been physically separated. First, the enolate should have been produced using LDA, an extremely strong base that shifts the reaction strongly to the product side, with a Keq of about 1019. Had a weaker base been used, equilibrium between the enolate and the product formed by the enolate reacting with itself would have been established with a Keq of about 10 4, which strongly favors the reactant side, resulting in less enolate yield. After enolate was produced using LDA, the second carbonyl compound would be added, allowing for correct product formation, as ideally only one electronegative carbon would be present. ... • 10. Analysis Of Jan Johnson s The Soul Wound Finding Redemption Music has always been regarded as an art of high importance. The word itself originates from the Greek word mousike meaning of the muses , the group of nine Greek Goddesses who regulate the arts and sciences. It has often been used as a way to heal mental and emotional pain; music speaks directly to the body through intuitive channels that are accessed at entirely different levels of consciousness from those associated with cognition (The Music Effect.24). In Jan Johnson s Soul Wound, Johnson discusses the historical trauma of Native Americans and the rage that is associated with it. This rage, as she later states, is generally turned inward and expressed through depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and suicide, and manifested externally within families and communities through domestic and other forms of violence (Johnson.226 227). In Wabanaki Blues by Melissa Tantaquidgeon Zobel we see this rage internalized and portrayed in the depression of both Mona and her mother and depicted in their family dynamic through the neglect of Mona s mother towards Mona. Mona, as well as other characters in the book, utilize music as a form of therapy to heal the soul. The characters in Wabanaki Blues utilize music to heal in ways that parallels Bob Marley s Redemption Song and the Rastafarian religion. • 13. Effects Of Musculoskeletal Palpation On Athletic Training... To evaluate injuries, musculoskeletal palpation is taught in many athletic training programs. Oftentimes, the focus is on accuracy of surface anatomy landmarks instead of the ability to discriminate qualitative information such as, tissue tone, spasm, or pain response from the soft tissue. Palpation is a large foundation for evaluation and intervention, a need to further the development of this skill exists. Due to this the integration of tasks to improve palpation skills throughout athletic training curriculum may help improve student confidence, accuracy and precision while performing patient evaluation and manual medicine interventions. Recent research has proven that stereognosis drills can improve student s palpation skills and provide advanced training to better refine palpation skills. Below, the definition of stereognosis will be defined, as well as, altering techniques to perform these drills. 1 The use of manual medicine has become increasingly popular in the profession of athletic training. This occurs because athletic trainers are seeking new ways to rehabilitate their patients. Typically, these techniques require the athletic trainer to palpate superficial and deep structures of the body with great accuracy and discrimination. Ironically, many athletic trainers and students report difficulty with their personal abilities to feel and discriminate the local soft tissue. Karl Marx, who was a German philosopher, economist, sociologist, journalist and revolutionary socialist created the theory of Marxism. Marx was born in Trier, Germany in 1818 and died in London in 1883. The social struggles in Marxs family were apparent before he was even born, ancestrally Jewish, he came from a long line rabbis on both sides of his family. His father, who was a lawyer converted to the Protestant denomination of Lutheranism, which was the predominant sect in Germany and Prussia at the time, in order to escape the constraints of Pre Nazi anti Semitic legislation. Marx started Trier High School in 1830, after having been home schooled by his father. The headmaster Hugo Wyttenbach, who was a friend of his fathers, employed many liberal humanists as teachers which the conservative government at the time strongly opposed leading to the police raiding the school in 1832, discovering literature supporting political liberalism had been distributed amongst the students. This being considered as such a heinous crime the authorities took it upon themselves to institute reforms and replaced several members of staff during Marx s attendance at the school. Marx attended the University of Bonn in 1835, aged 17, wanting to study philosophy; his father disagreed with this and believed that law would be a more appropriate field of study. Then, when the expansion of the universe was later discovered, Einstein stated that adding this cosmological constant had been a mistake. After Einstein s work of 1917, several scientists, including the abbé Georges Lemaître in Belgium, Willem de Sitter in Holland, and Alexander Friedmann in Russia, came up with solutions of their own to Einstein s field equations. The universes described by the different scientists varied. De Sitter s model had no matter in it. This model is actually not considered to be a bad approximation since the average density of the universe is extremely low. Lemaître s universe expanded from a primeval atom. Friedmann s universe also expanded from a very dense clump of matter, but did not involve the cosmological constant. These models helped explain what happened to the universe shortly after its creation, but there ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Constitution Of The American South After The Civil War Amendments are put in place to make changes to the U.S. Constitution to adapt a regulation or expand on the rights of individuals and groups of people. Two amendments that play a significant role in the United States Constitution to this very day are the 13th and 14th amendments. These amendments are known as the reconstruction amendments because the documents were important in implementing the Reconstruction of the American South after the Civil War. Their advocates saw them as transforming the United States from a country that was half slave and half free to one in which the constitution guaranteed blessings of liberty which extended to the entire populace, including the former slaves and their descendants. Firstly, is the citizenship Clause which gives individual born in the United States, but especially at that time, African Americans the right to citizenship. Secondly, the due process clause which protects the 1st amendment rights of the people and prevents those rights from being taken away by any government without due process. Due process is a trial by jury for all people accused of wrongdoing. Lastly, equal protection clause is the part of the fourteenth amendment which states that there may be no discrimination against people by the law. By directly mentioning the role of the states, the 14th Amendment greatly expanded the protection of civil rights to all Americans. Another essential point, was President Abraham Lincoln s position on slavery, which is one of the central issues in American history. Lincoln often expressed disapproval towards slavery. When the American Civil War began in 1861, President Abraham Lincoln carefully outlined the conflict of the abolition of slavery. On September 22, soon after the Union victory at the Battle of Antietam in Maryland, Lincoln issued an introductory Emancipation Proclamation, declaring that as of January 1, 1863, all slaves shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free. While the Emancipation Proclamation did not free a single slave it was an important turning point in the war, transforming the fight ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

They were fresh out of high school, have lived with their parents their whole life, and most of them never had a job. I embraced my time as a junior Marine, as I saw it as a time to learn from the experienced NCO s appointed over me. Even after I picked up the rank of Corporal, I would still come to my former NCO s for advice on things since they will always have more experience that I do. I was fortunate to have NCO s that took their role seriously and strived to train the Marines under them to the best of their effort. I was a junior Marine for a relatively short amount of time, I was promoted to Corporal at 19 years old and at the time I felt that I was nowhere near ready to assume the role of an NCO. I can honestly say I don t think any of the junior Marines under my charge that were promoted felt the same way as I did, I didn t feel that they understood the gravity of the responsibilities that they were being given. In my time as a junior Marine I learned many things from my NCO s, but one of the things that made the most impression on me was when I was venting to an NCO about a Staff NCO that was strict with us but was a messed up Marine ... Of the characters in the film, not only are the majority of them men, but also the male characters have more important roles as well as significantly more screen time. In contrast, there are only three women with names and lines, and only one of them actually contributes substantially to the plot. Holly is an exception to the rule when it comes to the jobs of the female characters in the movie, but not to the extent that she should be. More importantly, the movie relies on the stereotypes of female characters for an entertaining plot. Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2014). The third demand determinant evaluated is consumer taste. Scant information is available to gauge consumer preference for PV systems. A 2009 survey of 641 individuals and businesses in San Diego, California indicates 20 percent or fewer respondents would have PV systems installed without an available tax rebate, and most could not afford systems sufficiently large enough to meet all of their electrical needs (U.S. Department of Energy, 2009). The fourth determinant evaluated is population and demographics. Again little information is available to evaluate this determinant. In a subcontract report for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, The Natural Marketing Institute indicates consumers in the Midwest are more price sensitive, and less aware of their available energy options than other national regions (Rogers, 2011). Additionally, the report states most consumers across all regions are concerned about renewable or sustainable energy yet few act upon their concerns. The final demand determinant evaluated is consumer expectation of future price. PV system prices are expected to decrease as photovoltaic technology evolves, and production increases.
