Evaluation Of The Layout And Content Of My Brochure
Unit 12 Evaluation for the Brochure
I will evaluate the layout and content of my brochure against the client brief. The page layout
for each page is A4. At first I divided the pages into three section. However, it didn t look as
appealing. The purpose of this is because I wanted to ensure the information and the sizes of the
images fills the page. This is because I wanted to make it more different and appealing. The
information is placed in a rectangular or square box. It fits the whole A4 page. The pointsize of the
texts varies this depends if it is the subheading, heading or body text. Also, the sizes of the shapes
are diverse. This depends on the information and how big the images are. Also, there are images
placed in the box, which I will further discuss.
The front cover of the Newcastle Tours brochure as stated earlier is an A4 page. This page is
simpler due to it being the front cover and is 21 cm x 29.7cm. I decided to add the social
networks at the bottom of the page and information at the centre of the page, along with the logo
at the top of the brochure. I don t have a particular layout as I wanted to make it more individual
and more appealing. The colour of the text in all the pages is white and black. The purpose of this
is because the background is mainly dark blue and white so black and white will contrast with the
background colours. These colours were also used to meet the brief.
Moreover, the text styles used are Calibri Corbel. All these font

The Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition defines Culture as the shared patterns
of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs, and affective understanding that are learned
through a process of socialization. These shared patterns identify the members of a culture group
while also distinguishing those of another group. (Center for Advanced Research on Language
Acquisition) In an article called Cultural Factor Highly Influences On Consumers Their Buying
Behavior In Indian Context, the basic characteristics of culture are described: Culture has five
basic characteristics: It is learned, shared, based on symbols, integrated, and dynamic. All
cultures share these basic features. Culture is learned. It is not biological; we do not inherit it.
Much of learning culture is unconscious. We learn culture from families, peers, institutions, and
media. The process of learning culture is known as enculturation. While all humans have basic
biological needs such as food, sleep, and sex, the way we fulfill those needs varies cross
culturally. Culture is shared. Culture is shared by a firmly large group of human beings living in
organized societies and works as a linking force. Generally, common religion and language are the
critical elements that largely help people share values, customs, norms and experiences. Culture is
based on symbols. A symbol is something that stands for something else. Symbols vary cross
culturally and are arbitrary. They

Totalitarian Government In George Orwell s Big Brother Is...
In 1984, Big Brother Is Watching You. One could not take two steps without bumping into a
poster of a stern looking man seeming to stare into the soul of the viewer. Big Brother acts as a
Godlike figure to the citizens of Oceania, a super nation constantly at war with the two super
nations. The government of Oceania, the Party, keeps citizens in a vice like grip through
constant surveillance and laws placed on every aspect of human existence. The only loyalty
allowed is to the Party. They control the past, the present, and the future through its command
over anything and everything. The government set up in 1984 directly reflects that of a
totalitarian government. Totalitarianism as it exists in George Orwell s 1984 exhibits key
features which bare striking resemblance to modern governments. The first feature of a
totalitarian government is unification against a dangerous enemy. The Party in 1984 uses The
Two Minutes Hate to give the people something or someone to be mad at. It is a ritual performed
by the members of the Outer Party, as pictures are displayed for the people to scream and curse
at. Its purpose is to strengthen the Party s position. If the people feel a lack of control over their
own lives, they are able to channel that into hate of the evil Emmanuel Goldstein and East and
Eurasia. During one of the rituals, Winston explains that although he had not originally felt the
same anger as the rest of the crowd, he could not help but find himself yelling along with

Energy Resources And Nonrenewable Resources
Despite only being around for around two hundred thousand years, humanity has accomplished
many great tasks. Humans have been able to conquer most of the land on Earth. They have been
able to find ways to travel across huge landscapes in a matter of hours. They have developed ways
to grow and harvest their own food through agriculture. Humans even were able to send people into
space. Despite these accomplishments, they have all come at a great cost. Humans had to deforest
many areas in order to be able to live in those places. Almost all of the modern transportation relies
on the nonrenewable resource that is fossil fuels. As the population has grown, bigger farms were
made that consume loads of water. Due to these costs, the greatest threat to human sustainability is
our reliance on nonrenewable energy and resources. In order to shift from this path, humanity must
continue to move away from nonrenewable energy and develop renewable energy, and convince
businesses that this path is profitable. In the current system, the greatest threat to the survival of
humanity is the over reliance on nonrenewable energy resources. What generally comes to mind
with nonrenewable resources is fossil fuels, however trees and water can also be applied in this
situation. When the topic is about deforestation, some would argue that trees can grow back
making them a renewable resource. However, at the rate people are cutting them, the trees do not
have enough time to grow back. Sometimes trees

Black Soldiers In The Haitian Revolution
The enslaved Africans of Saint Domingue had an unwavering desire for freedom. They burnt cane
fields and refineries in order to destroy the system that had held them captive. John K. Thornton
believes that the contribution of African soldiers was the main reason for the success of the Haitian
Revolution. In his article, African Soldiers in the Haitian Revolution , he noted that, the rebellious
slaves of Haitiinflicted grievous military defeat on all who opposed them. The majority of the
enslaved persons in Saint Domingue were not simply just agricultural workers, but from whence
they came, they were soldiers, merchants and even kings. The African born enslaved persons,
who made up the majority of the masses, were able to use their prior military experience to assist
them in their victory and some even participated in the Congolese wars. They were skilled in
Guerilla Warfare which they used to defeat all the forces which they fought. Thornton noted, from
an eye witness account, that when the ex enslaved persons engaged in battle they never massed in
the open or waited in line to charge. And these tactics made them appear to be six times as
numerous than they were. Thornton stated that if persons view the enslaved people of Haiti as
people with strong militaristic backgrounds and not just agricultural labourers, the question as to
what was the main reason for the success of Haitian Revolution may be answered.
Throughout the revolution there was an abundance of

Guiding children s behaviour
Focus: Supporting children to build and maintain trusting relationships with peers, and to foster
their social skills.
Stimulus behaviour: Mahir (3 years old) actively participating in regular routine and play
experience on his own, with minimal or no interaction with others. Mahir demonstrate he has the
verbal language skills when he is pretend play with toy cars, and he shows receptive language skills
when interact with educators. However, Mahir s use of language in interaction is limited, he
requires improvement in language skill in order to develop better quality friendship (Porter, 2016).
Mahir display solitary play throughout the day, he was fully engaged in the activity by himself.
When other children talks to Mahir or initiate to play with him, Mahir does not seem to notice
other children, and maintains focus on what is he doing. According to Porter (2016), at age 2 3
years, children begin to seek out peers in earnest and they are more able to initiate interactions
(p. 157). Those evidence of social play development was absent in Mahir s case, as he display the
preference to play alone. Being socially isolated over time can have negative impact on children.
For example, depression or reactive aggression (Porter, 2016). Conversely, positive relationship are
beneficial to children s developments (Porter, 2016). Therefore, it is important to support Mahir s
social development.
The strategies I used to assist Mahir s social skills.

Social Class And Marriage In Sweat By Zola Neale Hurston
Social Class and Marriage
Social class and marriage are two aspects which the society has always held dear. The society
categorizes social class with what one earns. The people who earn more in the society are
considered powerful, and to some extent, they are respected more than others. On the other side,
the people who are not financially mighty are seen as the weak in the society. A marriageis
considered a stage in life which people should pass. Though the divorce rate is increasing day by
day, the larger percentage of the society believes that marriage is important and people should
get married for recreation and companionship. Some communities believe so much in marriages,
and they consider them holy (Hurston, 3). However, marriages have their fair share of
challenges. The problems of marriages did not start a few years ago, but they have been there
for many years. What happens is that people are different and handle challenges differently.
Today, a marriage partner would rather walk out of marriage rather than persevere and deal with the
marriage issue. A few decades ago, people rarely walked out of marriages, and some of them even
lived in abusive marriages. Sweat is a shorts story by Zola Neale Hurston which focuses more on
social class and how challenging marriages can be.
Hurston uses the characters in the short story; Sweat, to bring out the aspect of the social class.
Delia is depicted as a woman who loves what she does. However, it is still apparent that

I Chose The Top Left Picture Of The Vanity Fair
In this 21st century where representation and visibility of all groups is valued, it is not surprising
to see photos or videos in the media promoting or even advertising unique lifestyle that just a few
decades ago would unearthed a feeling of disgust or repulsion. While on one hand some uses
media in a positive way, introducing us to new fresher ideas which would ve been unthinkable
before. Suchlike families aside from the traditional nuclear family (e.g. single parent household,
lesbian and gay couples, or eccentric families in general), people of colour taking bolder or
positions of leadership, or even simple individuals breaking the barrier of norms. On the other
hand, there are those who simply see the media as a lucrative business aimed to spread
consumer commodification and vain lifestyle. As I want to focus on the latter, I chose the top
left picture of the Vanity Fair (VF) March 2014 issue. This month s issue s cover is Jen Selter,
fitness model and supposedly an inspiration for many young girls to go to the gym. I can be put
in the basket of haters but frankly, I ve never heard of her and seeing just the magazine with her
on the cover, in that position wearing that dress doesn t appeal to me. She s wearing a black dress
that covers parts that should be, but is showing enough skin to entice curiosity paired with black
stilettos. Taking a four legged animal stance on bland looking table with a hazy, rugged wall to
complete the scene . Honestly speaking, at

Summary Of The Taxpayer In Ray Bradbury s The Martian...
March 2000: The Taxpayer in Ray Bradbury s The Martian Chronicles, is an interchapter that
focuses on how Pritchard (a typical taxpayer) wants to get on the spaceship to Mars. The
purpose of this short chapter is to provide foreshadowing to both the atomic war and civilian
immigration to Mars. The reason why this chapter was written is that during 1950 (when this
book was written), Ray Bradbury wanted to voice his opinion that the construction of atomic
bombs will lead to war. Pritchard says, Wasn t he born right here in Ohio? Wasn t he a good
citizen? Then why couldn t he go to Mars? (Bradbury 31). He feels that he is entitled to board the
spaceship because he paid his taxes. The phrase I m a taxpayer is often used to protest against

The Between India And India
In the early sixteenth century, India stayed divided up into independent kingdoms until 1526. In
1526, a Mughal emperor conquered the northern and central hemispheres of India and forced
everyone under his rule. Many recognize him as the first Muslim emperor rule to India and he
influenced the Mughal title in a superlative way. One might question how the Mughals in India
acquired recognition and fame. This is because the majority of rulers in the throne ruled
exceedingly well and treated their people with compassion and respect. However, not all of the
emperors possessed that respect. Additionally, some Mughal rulers expressed generosity towards
their subjects religions, while others showed... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He lost his kingdom and was forced into exile, where he and his wife gave birth to a baby, who
would be considered the greatest Muslim emperor in India. When Akbar, Humayun s son, was
fourteen years old, his father managed to regain control of India, but unfortunately met his
expiration when he fell down a set of stairs, leaving his son in charge of the empire. Akbar,
luckily, resembled no characteristics that his father possessed. The extraordinary emperor
expanded his land tremendously and conquered many countries. Additionally, Akbar treated his
subjects respectfully, careful to meet their needs. He also did not show favoritism towards
Muslims over Hindus. Examples of this are, how he discouraged the horrific practices of Hindus,
and he accommodated the tax rates of the Hindus to the lower prices the Muslims paid. Also,
Akbar even married Hindu princesses and had children with them. Therefore, this shows that the
true nature of this benevolent emperor is what impacted the empire in an amazing way.
Furthermore, Akbar and his Hindu wife, Jodha gave birth to the next ruler of India, Jahangir. The
new emperor did not acquire his father s ruling skills, for Jahangir continuously lived in fear of the
Persians, who attained a similar army as the Muslims did. Also, he allowed his wife to take over
his world and influence his decisions. Jahangir lived a life with not much conquering or major
historic recollections. After his death, his son inherited the

Persuasive Essay On Barbie Doll
In my opinion, I believe that kids should be playing with dolls that have normal features, or with
action figures where the superheroes muscles/features should resemble to what an average
person s features should look like. Even though barbies help entertain girls and inspire them, I
still believe that girls should be playing with dolls that have normal features. People aren t really
aware about the things kids actually thought about themselves when they play with barbie dolls
or action figures. There are girls as young as five that are concerned about their body image. They
believe that the way the barbie looks like is the same way they should look like when they get
older. It isn t just girls that think about this boys do to. Boys

Helicopter Parenting Essay
There are many different ways to parent your kids, and every kid is different. There are also very
many different opinions on how you raised and brought up your kid and how it will affect the
child in the long run. Some people let their kids do what they want when they want while others
never let them do anything unless they are right there to step in. Everyone is different and some need
it more than others but for the average kid less is sometimes better. Helicopter parentingcan be
helpful in some cases if that is what your child needs. These days there are so many things that
kids have to worry about such as school and jobs and everything else we have to do in our busy
lives. The hardest thing as a parentis to just stand there and watch your kid struggle and or fail.
But also the last thing we need is the added pressure from our parents. Kids may see your help as
they were not good enough to do it on their own or that you do not have to confidence in them to
let them do it. In recent studies it has shown that the added stress from helicopter parents make
our lives worse than what it would be if they just left us alone and let us take care of what we
needed to on our own. Especially when it comes to our academic habits. When we are in
elementary school all the way up through high school parents like to be there and have a saw in all
of our schooling. But when we go off and go to college we no longer know how to take care of
own self because our parents have always been

Article 567 Of The 2009 Burundian Penal Code
Article 567 of the 2009 Burundian penal code punishes same sex relations with three months to
two years imprisonment and harsh fines. The National Assembly of Burundi passed Article 567
on 21 November 2008. Although shortly rejected by the state senate, Article 567 became law
when President Pierre Nkurunziza overruled the senate s decision and signed the bill into law on
22 April 2009. The law criminalizing homosexual acts was controversial; especially, because
Burundi did not have a specific history of homosexual discrimination, however, the
implementation of the new law was reported to have been followed by a rise in anti gay sentiment.
This is especially surprising, because unlike other countries in the region Burundi did not have a
colonial past of sexual discrimination. This is not to say that before Article 567, the Burundian
homosexual community did not face significant barriers in access to care and prevention. However,
the new law has amplified the challenges of preventing HIV/AIDSwithin this community, which in
turn negatively affects the overall efforts for global eradication of HIV. Reports of AIDS in
Burundi first surfaced in 1983. At the time, same sex behavior was not considered a criminal act.
In fact, Burundi does not always have a history of homophobia especially compared to the
discrimination faced in its neighboring countries. Today in Burundi, HIV is one of the major
causes of fatality. In 2015, about 85 000 people were living in Burundi with HIV.

The Convention Of Seneca Falls
The Convention of Seneca Falls was held in central New York. The convention lasted for two full
days on the dates of July 19 and 20th in the year 1848. Elizabeth Stanton decided to hold a gathering
to discuss the social, civil, and religious condition and rights of woman. Stanton led the convention
with the help of friend Lucretia Mott. The articles states that the Convention of Seneca Falls is
what helped to open up the idea of equality for both genders saying that it marked the beginning of
the seventy year struggle for women s suffrage. Stanton and Mott had first became acquainted in
England at the World Anti Slavery Convention. This was the same conference that refused to
accommodate Mott and other representatives due to the fact that they were women. Lucretia Mott
was a woman in her mid forties, she was a Quaker minister, feminist, and abolitionist. Stanton
composed a document called the Declaration of Sentiments. The Declaration of Sentiments was a
document declaring the given rights of women. This document is what defined the convention. It
was slightly based off of the Declaration of Independence. The Convention of Seneca Falls was
announced to the citizens by a small, unsigned notice placed in the Seneca County Courier. The
first day of the convention was reserved solely for women to discuss and debate on the Declaration
of Sentiments document. On the second day of the convention, they opened it for all people to
attend. Frederick Douglass gave a powerful speech

Analysis Of Peace Like A River By Leif Enger
In the novel, Peace Like a River by Leif Enger, the author discusses a story of a Minnesota family
narrated by Reuben Land, where he explains the several miracles his father, Jeremiah Land,
performed throughout his lifetime. Jeremiah Land is a single father with three children. Davy Land
being the eldest son, Reuben being the middle, and Swede Land being the youngest daughter. Leif

of this novelis fiction. The main character, Reuben Land, is the protagonist of this novel.
Everything that is happening in the novel evolves around his point of view. Reuben changes
from a little eleven year old child to a mature eleven year old young man throughout the story.
For example, when Davy Land murdered two thug kids, Reuben realized that their friends were
never there for them: Of course vindictiveness is an ugly trait and, yes, I do mean to forgive all
these nice deserters; I mean, eventually, to say, to their ghosts if not their living faces, It s all
right. I understand. I might ve done the same. Not yet, though. Let me bear witness first. Two men
I remember who did not desert no, three (Enger 59). Reuben was mature enough to realize that
only true friends will be there for you. He sees that only your true friends will stick with you
during the troubled times, and the others would stay away. One thing I can t identify with Reuben

the operators of ski resort. In regards to dangerous activities and sports in general the court stated
that
when a primary assumption of the risk exists there is no liability to the plaintiff because there is no

the defendant is required to extinguish or warn about. Having no duty to begin with, there is no
breach of duty to constitute negligence, showing that even other participants not just those in

Spending time with each other, having strong morals and giving a lot of love are a few of the
things that give families hope and happiness. In the novel A Death in the Family (1938) by James
Agee, a family has to use these advantages in order to make it through a very difficult time. During

Both Jay and Mary wanted to hold each other for eternity as if they knew that something bad was

Mary knew that things would work out okay because of the love holding her and Jay together.
Jay took his son to the picture show the night before Jay got the call to see his father. He knew that

Essay on The Book of Genesis Sets the Stage for the Bible
The Book of Genesis has served as a work of literature to the western civilization for the past two
thousand years. The word Genesis simply means origins or beginnings . This book sets the
stage for the bible, telling us of God s ultimate plan for humanity. It also speaks about the nature
of God as creator and redeemer as well as the value of human life. Consequences for disobedience
and sin are shown; separating man from God. We will also see the promise of salvation and
forgiveness of man due to God s grace. However, what does the book of Genesissay about the
portrayal of women? From the very beginning of Genesis, in the description of the Eden story,

After the seven years, Jacob goes to Laban and asks for Rachel s hand. Laban instead tricks Jacob
and gives his eldest daughter Leah. Jacob finds out the next morning and is then tricked again
into working another seven years so he can marry Rachel. Jacob is then married to both women.
Jacob loved Rachel and despised Leah and because of this, God made Rachel barren. Jacob
continued to hate Leah until she conceived and bare him four sons. Rachel begins to feel
worthless because she cannot give her husband any children. Rachel comes up with a plan to
give Jacob children. Bilhah, Rachel s maid is offered to Jacob by his wife to carry his child.
Bilhah conceives and bare Jacob another son. All throughout Genesis, a woman s value relies on
her ability to conceive and her subservience to her husband. Women are never allowed to travel

What Defines Us as Americans

What Defines Us as Americans??? Over the years there have been many events that have taken
place. These events not only affected the people and the world of the present at that time, but also
the future and even the way things are today. Knowing this we must ask ourselves what defines us
as Americans? There are series of events that all together add up to define us as Americans such as,
the Constitution, Westward Expansion, and the Civil War and Reconstruction. What do you think
defines us as Americans? The Constitution states We the People of the United States, in Order to

Stereotypes In The Pawnbroker
Holocaust film has emerged as its own genre throughout time. Originally, directors ignored the
possibility of Holocaust films, then the content started to take form in non fiction recordings.
Eventually, the genre of Holocaust film took off and today there is an abundance of Holocaust
related films that appear when one scrolls through movie streaming sites. The Pawnbroker (1964),
directed by Sidney Lumet, is a perfect example of a filmthat deals with both the lasting effect of the
Holocaustand the stereotyping of a multitude of characters. Exploring the Holocaust in media
through The Pawnbroker and The Pawnbroker s film techniques, serve as a prime example for
not only how Holocaust survivors felt emotionally imprisoned, but stereotypes different groups
as well. Critics responded harshly to this stereotypical labeling and this shows how the meaning
of the film has been interpreted by society differently over time. The Pawnbroker details the
struggles of a Jewish pawnbroker, Sol Nazerman, years after his persecution during the
Holocaust. Nazerman spends each day working in a pawnshop, conducting business with uncanny
inhabitants of Harlem. He keeps to himself and never lets anyone in, whether it s a local social
worker or his very own pawn shop apprentice. He is anxious and antisocial, as he is struggling to
come to terms with his past. Nazerman is the only family member to survive the terror and
hardships of concentration camps and he is completely overcome with grief

Frogs and Wasps by Aristophanes
In the Frogs and Wasps written by the eminently best comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes,
we see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge
of chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City
Dionysia, somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the Wasps , and the failings of
the government in Frogs ). It is vital, then, that Aristophanesconveys his political and social views
through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in
both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being
entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a little
fable, with a moral .
The Wasps is an absurd play, and in most of the parts, we see a lot of satiric, scatological parody
in a viciously Anti Cleon portrayal of the judicial system. Aristophanes intent is didactic (lesson
like) as he teaches his political view that Cleon s aggression towards Sparta would lead to war.
Comedy was key to the portrayal of his political message about the judicial system as it was a
very serious idea; therefore it is a key component in lightening up his difficult to swallow ideas.
The comedy is initiated with three simultaneous attacks at Cleonymus. Firstly, the simple effect of
a pun is used, as the word aspis has the double meaning of a snake as well as a

Interpretation Of Daimon In Greek Literature
Overall, the analysis of Greek literature reveals several ideas that are helpful in understanding the
demonology referenced in the New Testament. The different interpretations of daimon are fluid and
should not be expected to be completely consistent. Daimones are widely recognized as
intermediate beings, between the gods and men, and could be good or bad. Although Platogenerally
perceived them as being good, after his time there was a tendency to assign evil actions to them.
They determined one s destiny and were responsible for exacting punishment after death. The
daimon was commonly identified with deceased souls, especially those thought to have been noble
or heroic. Some thought daimones were guardian spirits that could either be attached... Show more

At its most basic, daimon refers to any power or activity that is divine or superhuman. Daimon has
many interpretations, though, which a fluid and sometimes overlap. At first, the term was used
almost synonymously with theos. In then came to mean a person s lot in life, similar to moira.
Daimones were characterized as general deceased souls, and then turned into guardian spirits. They
were widely recognized as intermediate beings that could with be good or bad. With the
introduction of bad daimons, there was an increasing tendency to attribute evil, demonic in a sense,
actions to them. Eventually, the daimon gained the ability to possess human beings, a significant
influence on the early Christian concept of the demon. Exorcism was widespread in the ancient role
and there are several similarities between the exorcism stories of antiquity and those found in the
New Testament. The expulsion of demons was a prominent part of Jesus ministry and the
characterization of Jesus as an exorcist was significant for showing the triumph over Satan. The
demon still undergoes many more changes after the New Testament, resulting in the demons that so
often appear in horror films today. But while popular demonic beings today are always malevolent,
the demonic entity was not always one that was so

Evolution And Innovation And The Development Of Aerospace...
Introduction Evolution and innovation are two of the most important factors in the
development of aerospace design. When faced with a design problem the decision has to be
made whether to develop the current idea, or whether to explore a new idea. The decision
chosen will usually be a mixture of both. Brief History of Optimisation Optimisation is an
extremely old method and was used as far back as when Newton used it to calculate maximum
and minimum values for functions. One of the first times that optimisation methods were used
within aerospace was by Goddard (1919), not long after the First World War. He used this
method to maximize the height of rocket trajectories, where the rockets performance was
approximated over discrete intervals and the needed nozzle velocity was calculated by using a
trial and error approach. Although a great discovery, optimisation didn t really exceed until the
invention of computers in the late 1950 s and late 1960 s [1]. Introduction Chapter: This chapter

Psalms In The Hebrew Bible
Looking at the Hebrew Bible, the Psalms fall into the Ketuvim, or Writings. The Hebrew Bible has
Psalms listed as tehillГў; a derivative of hДЃlal. This root connotes being sincerely and deeply
thankful for and/or satisfied in the lauding a superior quality(ies) or great, great act(s) of an object.
The book of Psalmsrenders itself to speak into every situation a person could have; in times of
sadness, happiness, when looking for some wisdom, or just feeling thankful for who he is and all
he has done in your life. Dr. Cartledge stated in his lecture on Psalms that the central overriding
theme of Psalms is the presence or absence of God. In the Jewish tradition, there are descriptions at
the beginning of the psalms that will tell either who wrote it, who it is written to, or the song tune.

Goulder s thesis is that these psalms originated in northern Israel at the sanctuary of Dan where
they were related to the liturgy of the annual Festival of Tabernacles in the month. Such evidence
as they now contain of a setting in Jerusalem is because they were transferred there and edited
after the fall of the Northern Kingdom in 722 BC. Two phases in the history of the collection in

Economic Impact On The Real Estate Market Essay
Economic Environment Impact
Interest rates have a major economic impact on the real estate market. Interest rates directly affect
property sales. Residential property realizes the greatest affect as interest rates have a considerable
influence on a homebuyer s capability to purchase a new property. The customer is affected when
there are significant increases or decreases in interest rates. Declining interest rates lower the costs
of obtaining a mortgage; this in turn creates higher demand for homes, and pushes home prices up.
Conversely, high interest rates increase the costs to obtain a mortgage; these increases lower the
demand for homes, which creates a decline in home prices. (Stammers, 2016)
The overall health of the economy has a significant impact on the real estate industry. The economy
is measured using indicators such as the GDP, employment percentages, manufacturing activity,
and price of goods. When these indicators identify a sluggish economy it translate directly to
declining real estate sales. RE/MAX and the customer alike are directly affected by the economy.
A slow economy consists of decreased homes sales while a flourishing economy affords the
customer the opportunity to buy, which relates to an increase in home sales for the realtor.
(Amadeo, 2016)
Government policies and subsides have a sizable impact on property price, and demand. The
government can temporarily boost demand with tax credits, deduction and subsidies. From the
customers point of view

The Assassination Of Wwii And The World
On July 20, 1944, a group of high ranking German military officials attempted to carry out one of
the most daring assassination plots in history, which, had it been successful, might have changed
the course of WWII and the world. On that fateful day, a young staff officer, Colonel Claus Schenk
Graf Von Stauffenberg planted a bomb in the Wolfsschanze (Wolf s lair), the Prussian field
headquarters of Third Reich Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler, who was meeting with his generals, in an
attempt to assassinate him and bring peace to warring Europe. The conspirators involved in the
plot were driven by a patriotic desire to save Germany from absolute destruction in what had been
deemed a hopeless war. Colonel von Stauffenberg and his cohorts recognized that the only way to
achieve this was to take the life of the Fuhrer, seize control of the government, and then attempt to
forge peace with the Western allies. Despite a meticulously planned coup, a single unforeseen
action by one of the attending colonels destroyed all hopes of negotiating a peaceful resolution of
the war and forever changed the course of history. Hitler survived the bombing attempt, exacting
revenge on all those involved, and the war raged on for one more brutal year. The internal
assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1944 failed because the plotters, Stauffenberg,
Olbricht, Oster, and many others did not consider the possibility of an adverse result, acting with
overzealous confidence, and poor communication

Thus, the client would have to be categorized with the assumption that he has experienced in his
past severed free and open communication with his peers . This would mean that a client with clear

Therapy. According to Truscott (2010), our efforts to feel good about ourselves we tend to try to
incorporate others expectations― thereby denying our true selves and adopting instead a
conditional self― resulting in feelings of disorganization and emotional pain. If, on the other
hand, we experience genuineness, nonjudgmental caring, and empathy in our relationships with
others, then we can achieve our potential as persons (p.70 71). Thus, a client with emotional support
can manage his feelings easier then someone without any emotional support. This still leaves the
client with emotional support with the expectation that she should not have any difficulty with
expressing her emotions. It is apparent that Rogers main goal was to create an environment for the
client in which he will eventually be able to independently understand and express his feelings.

Three Reasons You May Need to Consult with a Probate Attorney as an Executor of Your Parent s

If you have been named the executor of your parent s estate and their has been a death, you may
think that the process of probate is straight forward, so there is no reason to involve a probate
attorney. But there are several reasons why this is not a good idea. The following are only a few
of the significant reasons you should consider speaking with a probate lawyer.
You have siblings who expect a certain inheritance
This can be a big problem if your parent s estate was not divided up equally between the children.
It is not uncommon for a man or woman to leave different portions of his or her wealth to different
children. If these children ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Qualified experts will be needed to place an appraisal on the worth of the asset. A probate attorney
can advise you on how best to go about the sale of an entire business or a share of ownership, so
there is less of a chance of a problem developing over the proceeds.
Your parent s estate is worth less than the outstanding debts
In this case, the state where your parent resided likely has rules as to which creditor gets paid
first and how much. An attorney will know exactly how this is done, so legal assistance is the
only route to take. Also, you need to consider taxes as well. If your parent s estate owes taxes,

debt, you need a probate lawyer.
Keep in mind that much of the probate process is governed by state law, so the specific advice
for your situation will relate directly to the particular rules of the state. In some states there is a
simple probate process, but this is only for estates that do not involve any of the above situations.
If you have any questions about the probate process, you can always consult with an attorney to

Names In Charlotte Bronte s Jane Eyre
Significance of the Characters Names Jane Eyre, a gothic themed book, by Charlotte Bronte, is
about a girl named Jane, who lives with her abusive aunt, goes to an orphan school called
Lowood, becomes a governance for a girl named Adele, meets her cousins the rivers, and ended up
marring a Mr. Edward Rochester. This book took place in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Ireland. The major characters being Jane Eyre, Mr. Rochester, St. John, Bertha Mason, Helen Burns,
the reeds, and Ms. Temple. With this in mind, I believe that throughout the book, Charlotte Bronte
uses the characters names, to symbolize the characteristics of the characters. To start off, Charlotte

Temples name to symbolize that she is a pleasant person. I can infer tis due to Ms. Temples full
name being Maria Temple, Maria being the name of Jesus mother, and temple being a place of
worship, combined showing a sort of pleasant, even sweet atmosphere. First of all, we see this
when Hele gives us a brief description of Ms. Temple, Miss Temple is full of goodness: it pains
her to be severe to anyone, even the worst in the school: she sees my errors, and tells me of them
gently: and, if I do anything worth of praise she gives me my meed liberally (Bronte 67). With
this in mind, we can clearly tell Miss Temples, pleasant nature, as she cares about Helen,
correcting her faults just as a mother would, connecting back to her first name Maria. Moreover,
we see her pleasant nature connect to her last name Temple by a description given by Jan, Miss
temple had always something of serenity in her air, of state in her mien, of refined propriety in
her languages... chastened the pleasure looked on her and listened to her (Bronte 86). For this
reason, we see Miss Temples pleasant nature due to her having serenity, and people who look at
her and listen to her, just as people would at a temple, being a pleasant experience for some.
Therefore, Miss Temples name shows her pleasant nature, due to the actions she takes, and how

Kiki is an intimate look at a marginalized community, many of whom rely on the various
neighborhood clubs for support systems that don t exist anywhere else. The so called Kiki scene is
not just about the various competitive dance club contests. The scene provides a social structure, a
net, for kids who have nowhere else to go. The documentary has a high energy and full immersion
style that thrusts you into the lives of the various houses connected to the scene. These kids rely on
the the positive, non judgmental space and government funding. They have either left or ran away

Summary Of The City Of Pigs
In the book the Republic Socrates creates a city called the City of Pigs. Socrates refers to it as
the true city, the healthy ones. His companions do not like the idea of this city. They all come up
with a city that they all agree with called the City of Luxury. They believe this city is good and
unbiased. I agree with them, I think the Cityof Luxury is a better city and is overall more unbiased
than the City of Pigs.
The City of Pigs is a peaceful city. Everybody gets along and nobody causes trouble. Every
citizen in this city has their own craft. If the people have a lot of skill and ability to be really
good at their craft they will stay with that craft the rest of their life. There is no money in this
society, everybody contributes by using their craft to serve the community. There is no greed or
envy towards one another. The craftsman s class are made with builders, farmers, cobblers,
carpenters, weavers, shepherds, smiths, and traders. There is however some sort of currency for
trading goods. This is for everybody to be able to cover their needs of housing, clothing and food.
The people in this city are stable and healthy. Nobody overindulged or was unhealthy in this society.
Socrates believe if people ate healthy and felt good about themselves, people would strive in
society and become more valuable to the community. They believed that a healthy body and
healthy mind equals a successful life. They would feed themselves meals made of barley, flour and
wheat, noble

Selfish Poor vs Selfless Poor In the short stories, The Necklace by Guy de Maupassant and The Gift
of the Magi by O. Henry both Mathilde and Della are different and alike in many ways. Mathilde is
a very selfish character and does not have a lot of money. In despite of this, she still desires for a
wealthy status. However, Della is the complete opposite. She is selfless and does not have a lot of
money. She gives up her valuables or prized possessions just to get her husband a Christmas gift.

Della Young is selfless(loving) while Madame Loisel is selfish is conceited as seen throughout
the stories. Mathilde s selfishness is seen when she talks to her husband. For example, It s hard
to say exactly but I think I could manage with four hundred francs. He went pale, for that was
exactly the amount he had put aside to buy a rifle so that he could go hunting the following
summer near Nanterre, with a few friends who went shooting larks around there on Sundays.
However he said: Well, all right. I ll give you four hundred francs. But try to get something really
nice (de Maupassant 335). It is apparent that Mathilde Loisel is selfish because she forces her
husband use his money on her. On the other hand Dellas selflessness is shown when she says,
Will you buy my hair? asked Della. I buy hair, said Mathilde. Take (that?) hat off and let s have a
sight at the looks of it.rue Down rippled the brown cascade. Twenty dollars, said Madame, lifting
the mass with a practiced hand. Give it to me quick, said Della (Henry 263). It is evident that Della

Sociology and Religion
Introduction
Religion plays a major role in American society today. The stance that people take on their religion
can affect the social and political choices that they make. Having a loving God view and
relationship with him also takes place in these decisions being made. Researchers Unnever,
Bartkowski and Cullen explore in their article, God Imagery and Opposition to Abortion and
Capital Punishment: A Partial Test of Religious Support for the Consistent Life Ethic , as to whether
having a close relationship with God will allow people to oppose both capital punishment and
abortion, the consistent life ethic.
Research Question The hypothesis that researchers concluded for the consistent life ethic study
was that, We [the researchers] hypothesize that Americans who have a close relationship with a
loving God will be more likely to oppose both abortion and the death penalty (Unnever,
Bartkowski Cullen , 2010). The particular interest in following this inquiry was because of the fact
that there is first of all, not much research regarding this particular topic on the consistent life ethic
. The importance of finding out this information comes from several different reasons. The first
being that, it is crucial to analyze the attitude on these two topics because it will provide a census
on the quantity of individuals who hold a consistent life ethic, how viewing God as loving impacts
Americans on these moral and political issues. Secondly, both of these topics require a

Candle Burn Rate Lab
Purpose
To determine the effect of beaker size on the time a candle will burn.
[How could the size of a beaker affect the time length a candle can burn, if the beaker was placed
over the candle?]
Background Information
Independent Variable: The independent variable was the size of the beaker (or the volume of the
beaker).
Dependent Variable: The dependent variable was the duration of the candleflame (or the time it
took for the flame to be smothered).
Controlled Variable: The controlled variable was the burning candle flame.
Hypothesis
If the size of the beaker was increased, then the duration time of the flame would increase as well.
(not yet) Since there would be more volume in the beaker, the amount of air (and subsequently the
amount of oxygen) would also be increased, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Intentional Torts And False Punishment
Introduction This week we have been introduced to intentional torts, including battery, assault,
trespass of land, trespass of chattels, conversion and false imprisonment. Most of us are blind to
tortious acts, yet they are clearly occurring around us. This class will, in part, give us an attorney
s awareness of torts in the real world. In 2005 there were 2,012 intentional torts, slander/libel,
false arrest/imprisonment, and conversion claims in state courts. (Thomas H. Cohen) Many
more torts are too minor to ever result in a lawsuit. Below, I will discuss intentional torts that I
have experienced or which may occur in my daily life. Assault I commute into the city on the
MBTA commuter rail several days a week. It is typically an orderly, quiet ride. However, winter
delays cause extreme overcrowding that makes otherwise reasonable riders irritable.
Unavoidable bumping and jostling occurs but does not constitute a tort. However, not long ago
I was standing on a very crowded train when an irate man yelled at me to move or, he was going
to move me out of the way himself. I had no place to go and I was certainly in fear (or
apprehension, rather) that he would push, shove or otherwise place his hands on me. Restatement
(Second) of Torts В§21 states that an individual is liable for assault if he/she intends to cause a
harmful or offensive contact with the person of the other or a third person, or an imminent
apprehension of such a contact, and (b) the other is thereby put in

The Risk Our Society Takes by Depending on the Use of...
What most people in our society lack to notice is how our country s continuous use of fossil
fuels is endangering to nature and the wildlife it inhabits as well as the environment that we live
in. Our society seems to think that fossil fuels we use in excess today will last forever but
actuality will one day be depleted to unrepairable measures, which is why we need a cleaner more
environmentally friendly substitute. With that said my paper is going to underline how our
society would be able to transfer from fossil fuels to cleaner energies which are beneficial to our
earth and existence. There is a great understandable hunger for energy in the world. Increases uses
of energy are strongly correlated with the gross domestic product... Show more content on

Cleaner energies would be the target goal for the source of society s energy. They also have their
share of benefits and disadvantages. Aside from the fact that cleaner energies would do a world
of help to the environment by reducing the amount of harmful gases that get trapped in the
atmosphere which can reduce the greenhouse effect as well as the amount of forests being
destroyed by acid rain. The most likely substitute for the fossil fuels would be hydrogen. When
burned in air, its end products are water and some nitrogen oxides. These oxides, which are
potentially pollutants, can be reduced to negligible levels with catalytic (speeds up reaction
rate) heaters. So hydrogen would be the least polluting of all energy sources. The disadvantage
we find with using hydrogen is that the storage would be a problem. It can be stored in several
ways, none completely safe. With care hydrogen can be at least as safe as many other hazardous
substances we use. It can be compressed and stored in tanks. It can be liquefied. It can be
combined with some metal to form a chemical compound called hydride and then have the
hydrogen release slightly by increasing the temperature. Portable tanks tend to be very heavy and
awkward to handle but large community tanks can be used as they have been in the past for storing
town gas. Liquefying hydrogen and storing it requires expensive additional sophisticated cryogenic
equipment: hydrogen liquefies at the

Literature review
There is a wide recognition of branding strategy as a source of competitive advantage in domestic
markets (Biel, 1992; Calderon et al., 1997; Chaudhuri and Holbrook, 2001; de
Chernatony, 2001; Farquhar, 1994; Moore et al., 2000; Mosmans, 1996; Mosmans and van der
Vorst, 1998; Rubinstein, 1996). A brand in a holistic sense represents the synergistic effect of all
marketing efforts that instil and perpetuate an image in customers minds, and contribute to the
success of a firm by creating stronger cash flows and higher values for shareholders as
demonstrated by Yovovich (1988).
In addition to this holistic view of branding, a brand can be used as a corporate strategic tool to
enhance a п¬Ѓrm s performance (Mosmans, 1996; Mosmans and van der
Vorst, 1998). Some argue that a brand can be placed as the focal point of a п¬Ѓrm so that brand
issues can be coordinated and given higher priority (Capon et al., 2001; Urde,
1994, 1999). This approach of brand orientation extends the resource based theory of marketing
strategy, in terms of how brands are created, developed, maintained, and protected, and can result in
enhanced performance of п¬Ѓrms. Broadening the brand spectrum means that branding goes
beyond marketing communications and should be regarded as an integrated business approach
(Rubinstein, 1996). Firms must manage the various aspects of a brand and tie it to the total

The Impact of the Invention of the Automobile on Society...
Karl Benz invented the first automobile in 1866; it has changed the world in how we commute
every day. From riding in carriages to now cutting our time travel whether it is riding a bus or
our on car. It has become more of a necessity in today s world to have a car because its something
that we choose to have in our daily life that it is a choice that is high on the priority list to own.
As to wealthier people the type of car you drive puts in a different class. Where some get the

Without the automobile trucks would be unable to bring food and other important items to the
cities. Another reason the automobile has changed society for the better is that it has created
many jobs that revenue millions of dollars yearly due to the different types of jobs such as
building highways, truckers delivering items from state to state and busses that people for

humans are automobiles. People collect all different types of cars whether they are hot rods, old

Vaccinations can be administered shortly after birth and are recommended into adulthood. The first
dose of the Hepatitis B (Hep B) vaccine is typically given shortly after birth but may be given at
one or two months of age. Hepatitis is a disease effecting the liver and can be life threatening. By
two months of age physicians recommend the second dose of Hep B along with the first dose of the
rotavirus, diphtheria, tetanus toxoids and pertussis (TDaP), hemophilus influenza type B (Hib),
pneumococcal conjugate vaccine and the inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV).
Rotavirus causes inflammation of the stomach and intestines; it effects infants and young children
often causing severe watery diarrhea, vomiting, fever, abdominal pain, and dehydration. Tetanus
toxoids (lock Jaw), pertussis (whooping cough), and diphtheria which is described as a thick
covering in the back of the throat, are all included in the TDaP vaccine. Diphtheria may lead to
breathing difficulties, paralysis, heart failure, and even death. The hemophilus influenza type B

Anasazi Tribe Research Paper
The Anasazi, a tribe of Native American Indians who lived in Colorado, among other places,
around the 13th century, were a civilization of mystery. The Anasazi traveled among parts of
Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. The inhabited the Four Corners and roamed the areas
from approximately A.D. 200 to A.D. 1300. The tribe of Native American Indians moved from
place to place quite often, leaving parts of their history scattered through what is commonly known
as the Four Corners in North America. They were a culture that knew how to use their resources in

The Four Corners in North America was commonly known for its erratic nature patterns, with
rainfall being scarce, making growth hard even for the scrubby sagebrush and tough pinon and
juniper trees that fell across the land (Dold). The Anasazi knew how to adapt to these changes by
moving quiet often. The Anasazi changed residences frequently, often settling in an area for fifty to
one hundred years at a time (Bell). Hunger induced cannibalism typically occurs in groups that are
trapped (Dolde). This information provides another key to the theory of the Anasazi tribe being
invaded by rogue foreigners. Archeologist, Brian Billman, says two distinct patterns of human
remains at several suspected cannibalism sites support his terrorism theory (Dold). One pattern
Billman observed was at Cowboy Wash and it showed human remains were scattered on floors, and
the dwellings abandoned soon after. Rogue foreigners could have raided the Anasazi dwellings,
scarce on food, and resulted to cannibalism. The second pattern shoes show remains were not left
lying about but were dumped into trash pits or unused rooms. Billman thinks the first pattern
occurred in victims homes, where they were cut up and consumed. The second pattern occurred in
sites belonging to the perpetrators, who continued to use their homes after processing the bodies
(Dold). This evidence leads to the theory that

  • 2. Evaluation Of The Layout And Content Of My Brochure Unit 12 Evaluation for the Brochure I will evaluate the layout and content of my brochure against the client brief. The page layout for each page is A4. At first I divided the pages into three section. However, it didn t look as appealing. The purpose of this is because I wanted to ensure the information and the sizes of the images fills the page. This is because I wanted to make it more different and appealing. The information is placed in a rectangular or square box. It fits the whole A4 page. The pointsize of the texts varies this depends if it is the subheading, heading or body text. Also, the sizes of the shapes are diverse. This depends on the information and how big the images are. Also, there are images placed in the box, which I will further discuss. The front cover of the Newcastle Tours brochure as stated earlier is an A4 page. This page is simpler due to it being the front cover and is 21 cm x 29.7cm. I decided to add the social networks at the bottom of the page and information at the centre of the page, along with the logo at the top of the brochure. I don t have a particular layout as I wanted to make it more individual and more appealing. The colour of the text in all the pages is white and black. The purpose of this is because the background is mainly dark blue and white so black and white will contrast with the background colours. These colours were also used to meet the brief. Moreover, the text styles used are Calibri Corbel. All these font ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Taking a Look at Brazil The Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition defines Culture as the shared patterns of behaviors and interactions, cognitive constructs, and affective understanding that are learned through a process of socialization. These shared patterns identify the members of a culture group while also distinguishing those of another group. (Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition) In an article called Cultural Factor Highly Influences On Consumers Their Buying Behavior In Indian Context, the basic characteristics of culture are described: Culture has five basic characteristics: It is learned, shared, based on symbols, integrated, and dynamic. All cultures share these basic features. Culture is learned. It is not biological; we do not inherit it. Much of learning culture is unconscious. We learn culture from families, peers, institutions, and media. The process of learning culture is known as enculturation. While all humans have basic biological needs such as food, sleep, and sex, the way we fulfill those needs varies cross culturally. Culture is shared. Culture is shared by a firmly large group of human beings living in organized societies and works as a linking force. Generally, common religion and language are the critical elements that largely help people share values, customs, norms and experiences. Culture is based on symbols. A symbol is something that stands for something else. Symbols vary cross culturally and are arbitrary. They ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Totalitarian Government In George Orwell s Big Brother Is... In 1984, Big Brother Is Watching You. One could not take two steps without bumping into a poster of a stern looking man seeming to stare into the soul of the viewer. Big Brother acts as a Godlike figure to the citizens of Oceania, a super nation constantly at war with the two super nations. The government of Oceania, the Party, keeps citizens in a vice like grip through constant surveillance and laws placed on every aspect of human existence. The only loyalty allowed is to the Party. They control the past, the present, and the future through its command over anything and everything. The government set up in 1984 directly reflects that of a totalitarian government. Totalitarianism as it exists in George Orwell s 1984 exhibits key features which bare striking resemblance to modern governments. The first feature of a totalitarian government is unification against a dangerous enemy. The Party in 1984 uses The Two Minutes Hate to give the people something or someone to be mad at. It is a ritual performed by the members of the Outer Party, as pictures are displayed for the people to scream and curse at. Its purpose is to strengthen the Party s position. If the people feel a lack of control over their own lives, they are able to channel that into hate of the evil Emmanuel Goldstein and East and Eurasia. During one of the rituals, Winston explains that although he had not originally felt the same anger as the rest of the crowd, he could not help but find himself yelling along with ... • 5. Energy Resources And Nonrenewable Resources Despite only being around for around two hundred thousand years, humanity has accomplished many great tasks. Humans have been able to conquer most of the land on Earth. They have been able to find ways to travel across huge landscapes in a matter of hours. They have developed ways to grow and harvest their own food through agriculture. Humans even were able to send people into space. Despite these accomplishments, they have all come at a great cost. Humans had to deforest many areas in order to be able to live in those places. Almost all of the modern transportation relies on the nonrenewable resource that is fossil fuels. As the population has grown, bigger farms were made that consume loads of water. Due to these costs, the greatest threat to human sustainability is our reliance on nonrenewable energy and resources. In order to shift from this path, humanity must continue to move away from nonrenewable energy and develop renewable energy, and convince businesses that this path is profitable. In the current system, the greatest threat to the survival of humanity is the over reliance on nonrenewable energy resources. What generally comes to mind with nonrenewable resources is fossil fuels, however trees and water can also be applied in this situation. When the topic is about deforestation, some would argue that trees can grow back making them a renewable resource. However, at the rate people are cutting them, the trees do not have enough time to grow back. Sometimes trees ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Black Soldiers In The Haitian Revolution The enslaved Africans of Saint Domingue had an unwavering desire for freedom. They burnt cane fields and refineries in order to destroy the system that had held them captive. John K. Thornton believes that the contribution of African soldiers was the main reason for the success of the Haitian Revolution. In his article, African Soldiers in the Haitian Revolution , he noted that, the rebellious slaves of Haitiinflicted grievous military defeat on all who opposed them. The majority of the enslaved persons in Saint Domingue were not simply just agricultural workers, but from whence they came, they were soldiers, merchants and even kings. The African born enslaved persons, who made up the majority of the masses, were able to use their prior military experience to assist them in their victory and some even participated in the Congolese wars. They were skilled in Guerilla Warfare which they used to defeat all the forces which they fought. Thornton noted, from an eye witness account, that when the ex enslaved persons engaged in battle they never massed in the open or waited in line to charge. And these tactics made them appear to be six times as numerous than they were. Thornton stated that if persons view the enslaved people of Haiti as people with strong militaristic backgrounds and not just agricultural labourers, the question as to what was the main reason for the success of Haitian Revolution may be answered. Throughout the revolution there was an abundance of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. Teaching And Maintain Trusting Relationships With Peers,... Guiding children s behaviour Focus: Supporting children to build and maintain trusting relationships with peers, and to foster their social skills. Stimulus behaviour: Mahir (3 years old) actively participating in regular routine and play experience on his own, with minimal or no interaction with others. Mahir demonstrate he has the verbal language skills when he is pretend play with toy cars, and he shows receptive language skills when interact with educators. However, Mahir s use of language in interaction is limited, he requires improvement in language skill in order to develop better quality friendship (Porter, 2016). Mahir display solitary play throughout the day, he was fully engaged in the activity by himself. When other children talks to Mahir or initiate to play with him, Mahir does not seem to notice other children, and maintains focus on what is he doing. According to Porter (2016), at age 2 3 years, children begin to seek out peers in earnest and they are more able to initiate interactions (p. 157). Those evidence of social play development was absent in Mahir s case, as he display the preference to play alone. Being socially isolated over time can have negative impact on children. For example, depression or reactive aggression (Porter, 2016). Conversely, positive relationship are beneficial to children s developments (Porter, 2016). Therefore, it is important to support Mahir s social development. The strategies I used to assist Mahir s social skills. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 8. Social Class And Marriage In Sweat By Zola Neale Hurston Social Class and Marriage Social class and marriage are two aspects which the society has always held dear. The society categorizes social class with what one earns. The people who earn more in the society are considered powerful, and to some extent, they are respected more than others. On the other side, the people who are not financially mighty are seen as the weak in the society. A marriageis considered a stage in life which people should pass. Though the divorce rate is increasing day by day, the larger percentage of the society believes that marriage is important and people should get married for recreation and companionship. Some communities believe so much in marriages, and they consider them holy (Hurston, 3). However, marriages have their fair share of challenges. The problems of marriages did not start a few years ago, but they have been there for many years. What happens is that people are different and handle challenges differently. Today, a marriage partner would rather walk out of marriage rather than persevere and deal with the marriage issue. A few decades ago, people rarely walked out of marriages, and some of them even lived in abusive marriages. Sweat is a shorts story by Zola Neale Hurston which focuses more on social class and how challenging marriages can be. Hurston uses the characters in the short story; Sweat, to bring out the aspect of the social class. Delia is depicted as a woman who loves what she does. However, it is still apparent that ... • 11. I Chose The Top Left Picture Of The Vanity Fair In this 21st century where representation and visibility of all groups is valued, it is not surprising to see photos or videos in the media promoting or even advertising unique lifestyle that just a few decades ago would unearthed a feeling of disgust or repulsion. While on one hand some uses media in a positive way, introducing us to new fresher ideas which would ve been unthinkable before. Suchlike families aside from the traditional nuclear family (e.g. single parent household, lesbian and gay couples, or eccentric families in general), people of colour taking bolder or positions of leadership, or even simple individuals breaking the barrier of norms. On the other hand, there are those who simply see the media as a lucrative business aimed to spread consumer commodification and vain lifestyle. As I want to focus on the latter, I chose the top left picture of the Vanity Fair (VF) March 2014 issue. This month s issue s cover is Jen Selter, fitness model and supposedly an inspiration for many young girls to go to the gym. I can be put in the basket of haters but frankly, I ve never heard of her and seeing just the magazine with her on the cover, in that position wearing that dress doesn t appeal to me. She s wearing a black dress that covers parts that should be, but is showing enough skin to entice curiosity paired with black stilettos. Taking a four legged animal stance on bland looking table with a hazy, rugged wall to complete the scene . Honestly speaking, at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 12. Summary Of The Taxpayer In Ray Bradbury s The Martian... March 2000: The Taxpayer in Ray Bradbury s The Martian Chronicles, is an interchapter that focuses on how Pritchard (a typical taxpayer) wants to get on the spaceship to Mars. The purpose of this short chapter is to provide foreshadowing to both the atomic war and civilian immigration to Mars. The reason why this chapter was written is that during 1950 (when this book was written), Ray Bradbury wanted to voice his opinion that the construction of atomic bombs will lead to war. Pritchard says, Wasn t he born right here in Ohio? Wasn t he a good citizen? Then why couldn t he go to Mars? (Bradbury 31). In 1526, a Mughal emperor conquered the northern and central hemispheres of India and forced everyone under his rule. Many recognize him as the first Muslim emperor rule to India and he influenced the Mughal title in a superlative way. One might question how the Mughals in India acquired recognition and fame. This is because the majority of rulers in the throne ruled exceedingly well and treated their people with compassion and respect. However, not all of the emperors possessed that respect. He lost his kingdom and was forced into exile, where he and his wife gave birth to a baby, who would be considered the greatest Muslim emperor in India. When Akbar, Humayun s son, was fourteen years old, his father managed to regain control of India, but unfortunately met his expiration when he fell down a set of stairs, leaving his son in charge of the empire. Akbar, luckily, resembled no characteristics that his father possessed. The extraordinary emperor expanded his land tremendously and conquered many countries. Additionally, Akbar treated his subjects respectfully, careful to meet their needs. He also did not show favoritism towards Muslims over Hindus. Examples of this are, how he discouraged the horrific practices of Hindus, and he accommodated the tax rates of the Hindus to the lower prices the Muslims paid. Also, Akbar even married Hindu princesses and had children with them. Therefore, this shows that the true nature of this benevolent emperor is what impacted the empire in an amazing way. Furthermore, Akbar and his Hindu wife, Jodha gave birth to the next ruler of India, Jahangir. The new emperor did not acquire his father s ruling skills, for Jahangir continuously lived in fear of the Persians, who attained a similar army as the Muslims did. Also, he allowed his wife to take over his world and influence his decisions. Jahangir lived a life with not much conquering or major historic recollections. There are also very many different opinions on how you raised and brought up your kid and how it will affect the child in the long run. Some people let their kids do what they want when they want while others never let them do anything unless they are right there to step in. Everyone is different and some need it more than others but for the average kid less is sometimes better. Helicopter parentingcan be helpful in some cases if that is what your child needs. These days there are so many things that kids have to worry about such as school and jobs and everything else we have to do in our busy lives. The hardest thing as a parentis to just stand there and watch your kid struggle and or fail. But also the last thing we need is the added pressure from our parents. Kids may see your help as they were not good enough to do it on their own or that you do not have to confidence in them to let them do it. In recent studies it has shown that the added stress from helicopter parents make our lives worse than what it would be if they just left us alone and let us take care of what we needed to on our own. Especially when it comes to our academic habits. When we are in elementary school all the way up through high school parents like to be there and have a saw in all of our schooling. The National Assembly of Burundi passed Article 567 on 21 November 2008. Although shortly rejected by the state senate, Article 567 became law when President Pierre Nkurunziza overruled the senate s decision and signed the bill into law on 22 April 2009. The law criminalizing homosexual acts was controversial; especially, because Burundi did not have a specific history of homosexual discrimination, however, the implementation of the new law was reported to have been followed by a rise in anti gay sentiment. This is especially surprising, because unlike other countries in the region Burundi did not have a colonial past of sexual discrimination. This is not to say that before Article 567, the Burundian homosexual community did not face significant barriers in access to care and prevention. However, the new law has amplified the challenges of preventing HIV/AIDSwithin this community, which in turn negatively affects the overall efforts for global eradication of HIV. Reports of AIDS in Burundi first surfaced in 1983. At the time, same sex behavior was not considered a criminal act. In fact, Burundi does not always have a history of homophobia especially compared to the discrimination faced in its neighboring countries. Today in Burundi, HIV is one of the major causes of fatality. In 2015, about 85 000 people were living in Burundi with HIV. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Convention of Seneca Falls was announced to the citizens by a small, unsigned notice placed in the Seneca County Courier. • 25. Frogs and Wasps by Aristophanes In the Frogs and Wasps written by the eminently best comedian of the fifth century, Aristophanes, we see he utilized humour to exact the important message that Athens is corrupt, and on the verge of chaos. The Athenian audience would expect to be thrust into a world of humour in the City Dionysia, somewhere parallel to their own (e.g. the Athenian jury in the Wasps , and the failings of the government in Frogs ). It is vital, then, that Aristophanesconveys his political and social views through slapstick, farce, and caricature to interest the audience. This is an important component in both plays as the audience is able to simultaneously accept his diplomatic views whilst being entertained. After all his main point for producing his plays were to produce something with a little fable, with a moral . The Wasps is an absurd play, and in most of the parts, we see a lot of satiric, scatological parody in a viciously Anti Cleon portrayal of the judicial system. Aristophanes intent is didactic (lesson like) as he teaches his political view that Cleon s aggression towards Sparta would lead to war. Comedy was key to the portrayal of his political message about the judicial system as it was a very serious idea; therefore it is a key component in lightening up his difficult to swallow ideas. The comedy is initiated with three simultaneous attacks at Cleonymus. Firstly, the simple effect of a pun is used, as the word aspis has the double meaning of a snake as well as a ... When faced with a design problem the decision has to be made whether to develop the current idea, or whether to explore a new idea. The decision chosen will usually be a mixture of both. Brief History of Optimisation Optimisation is an extremely old method and was used as far back as when Newton used it to calculate maximum and minimum values for functions. One of the first times that optimisation methods were used within aerospace was by Goddard (1919), not long after the First World War. He used this method to maximize the height of rocket trajectories, where the rockets performance was approximated over discrete intervals and the needed nozzle velocity was calculated by using a trial and error approach. Although a great discovery, optimisation didn t really exceed until the invention of computers in the late 1950 s and late 1960 s [1]. Interest rates directly affect property sales. Residential property realizes the greatest affect as interest rates have a considerable influence on a homebuyer s capability to purchase a new property. The customer is affected when there are significant increases or decreases in interest rates. Declining interest rates lower the costs of obtaining a mortgage; this in turn creates higher demand for homes, and pushes home prices up. Conversely, high interest rates increase the costs to obtain a mortgage; these increases lower the demand for homes, which creates a decline in home prices. The economy is measured using indicators such as the GDP, employment percentages, manufacturing activity, and price of goods. When these indicators identify a sluggish economy it translate directly to declining real estate sales. RE/MAX and the customer alike are directly affected by the economy. A slow economy consists of decreased homes sales while a flourishing economy affords the customer the opportunity to buy, which relates to an increase in home sales for the realtor. The city was founded by John Neely Bryan, who settled on the east bank of the Trinity near a natural ford in November 1841. Bryan had picked the best spot for a trading post to serve the population migrating into the region. The ford, at the intersection of two major Indian traces, provided the only good crossing point for miles. Two highways proposed by the Republic of Texassoon converged nearby. Unknown to Bryan, however, he had settled on land granted by the republic to the Texan Land and Emigration Company of St. Louis, headed by William S. Peters. Bryan eventually legalized his... With the breakup of the nearby La RГ©union colony in the late 1850s, skilled European craftsmen and artists moved into Dallas, including brickmakers, cabinetmakers, tailors, milliners, brewers, and musicians. By 1860 the population was 678, including ninety seven African Americans as well as French, Belgians, Swiss, and Germans. On July 8, 1860, a fire originating in the W. W. Peak Brothers Drugstore spread to the other buildings on the square and destroyed most of the businesses. Suspicion fell on slaves and Northern abolitionists; three slaves were hanged, and two Iowa preachers were whipped and run out of town. In 1861 Dallas voters voted 741 to 237 to secede from the Union. Dallas was selected as one of eleven quartermaster and commissary posts in Texas for the Trans Mississippi Army of the Confederacy. After the war, freed slaves flocked to Dallas in search of jobs and settled in freedmen s towns on the periphery of the city. By 1870 the population was about 3,000. The key to economic expansion had always been better transportation in and out of the region. Early attempts to navigate the Trinity River had proved impractical. The Assassination Of Wwii And The World On July 20, 1944, a group of high ranking German military officials attempted to carry out one of the most daring assassination plots in history, which, had it been successful, might have changed the course of WWII and the world. On that fateful day, a young staff officer, Colonel Claus Schenk Graf Von Stauffenberg planted a bomb in the Wolfsschanze (Wolf s lair), the Prussian field headquarters of Third Reich Fuhrer, Adolf Hitler, who was meeting with his generals, in an attempt to assassinate him and bring peace to warring Europe. The conspirators involved in the plot were driven by a patriotic desire to save Germany from absolute destruction in what had been deemed a hopeless war. Colonel von Stauffenberg and his cohorts recognized that the only way to achieve this was to take the life of the Fuhrer, seize control of the government, and then attempt to forge peace with the Western allies. Despite a meticulously planned coup, a single unforeseen action by one of the attending colonels destroyed all hopes of negotiating a peaceful resolution of the war and forever changed the course of history. Hitler survived the bombing attempt, exacting revenge on all those involved, and the war raged on for one more brutal year. The internal assassination attempt on Adolf Hitler on July 20, 1944 failed because the plotters, Stauffenberg, Olbricht, Oster, and many others did not consider the possibility of an adverse result, acting with overzealous confidence, and poor communication ... Thus, the client would have to be categorized with the assumption that he has experienced in his past severed free and open communication with his peers . This would mean that a client with clear and reciprocated communication with her loved ones would not find use in Client Centered Therapy. According to Truscott (2010), our efforts to feel good about ourselves we tend to try to incorporate others expectations― thereby denying our true selves and adopting instead a conditional self― resulting in feelings of disorganization and emotional pain. If, on the other hand, we experience genuineness, nonjudgmental caring, and empathy in our relationships with others, then we can achieve our potential as persons (p.70 71). Thus, a client with emotional support can manage his feelings easier then someone without any emotional support. This still leaves the client with emotional support with the expectation that she should not have any difficulty with expressing her emotions. It is apparent that Rogers main goal was to create an environment for the client in which he will eventually be able to independently understand and express his feelings. Intentional Torts And False Punishment Introduction This week we have been introduced to intentional torts, including battery, assault, trespass of land, trespass of chattels, conversion and false imprisonment. Most of us are blind to tortious acts, yet they are clearly occurring around us. This class will, in part, give us an attorney s awareness of torts in the real world. In 2005 there were 2,012 intentional torts, slander/libel, false arrest/imprisonment, and conversion claims in state courts. (Thomas H. Cohen) Many more torts are too minor to ever result in a lawsuit. Below, I will discuss intentional torts that I have experienced or which may occur in my daily life. Assault I commute into the city on the MBTA commuter rail several days a week. It is typically an orderly, quiet ride. However, winter delays cause extreme overcrowding that makes otherwise reasonable riders irritable. Unavoidable bumping and jostling occurs but does not constitute a tort. However, not long ago I was standing on a very crowded train when an irate man yelled at me to move or, he was going to move me out of the way himself. I had no place to go and I was certainly in fear (or apprehension, rather) that he would push, shove or otherwise place his hands on me. Cleaner energies would be the target goal for the source of society s energy. They also have their share of benefits and disadvantages. Aside from the fact that cleaner energies would do a world of help to the environment by reducing the amount of harmful gases that get trapped in the atmosphere which can reduce the greenhouse effect as well as the amount of forests being destroyed by acid rain. The most likely substitute for the fossil fuels would be hydrogen. When burned in air, its end products are water and some nitrogen oxides. These oxides, which are potentially pollutants, can be reduced to negligible levels with catalytic (speeds up reaction rate) heaters. So hydrogen would be the least polluting of all energy sources. The disadvantage we find with using hydrogen is that the storage would be a problem. It can be stored in several ways, none completely safe. With care hydrogen can be at least as safe as many other hazardous substances we use. It can be compressed and stored in tanks. It can be liquefied. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Literature review There is a wide recognition of branding strategy as a source of competitive advantage in domestic markets (Biel, 1992; Calderon et al., 1997; Chaudhuri and Holbrook, 2001; de Chernatony, 2001; Farquhar, 1994; Moore et al., 2000; Mosmans, 1996; Mosmans and van der Vorst, 1998; Rubinstein, 1996). A brand in a holistic sense represents the synergistic effect of all marketing efforts that instil and perpetuate an image in customers minds, and contribute to the success of a п¬Ѓrm by creating stronger cash flows and higher values for shareholders as demonstrated by Yovovich (1988). In addition to this holistic view of branding, a brand can be used as a corporate strategic tool to enhance a п¬Ѓrm s performance (Mosmans, 1996; Mosmans and van der Vorst, 1998). Some argue that a brand can be placed as the focal point of a п¬Ѓrm so that brand issues can be coordinated and given higher priority (Capon et al., 2001; Urde, 1994, 1999). This approach of brand orientation extends the resource based theory of marketing strategy, in terms of how brands are created, developed, maintained, and protected, and can result in enhanced performance of п¬Ѓrms. Broadening the brand spectrum means that branding goes beyond marketing communications and should be regarded as an integrated business approach (Rubinstein, 1996). Firms must manage the various aspects of a brand and tie it to the total ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Four Corners in North America was commonly known for its erratic nature patterns, with rainfall being scarce, making growth hard even for the scrubby sagebrush and tough pinon and juniper trees that fell across the land (Dold). The Anasazi knew how to adapt to these changes by moving quiet often. The Anasazi changed residences frequently, often settling in an area for fifty to one hundred years at a time (Bell). Hunger induced cannibalism typically occurs in groups that are trapped (Dolde). This information provides another key to the theory of the Anasazi tribe being invaded by rogue foreigners. Archeologist, Brian Billman, says two distinct patterns of human remains at several suspected cannibalism sites support his terrorism theory (Dold). One pattern Billman observed was at Cowboy Wash and it showed human remains were scattered on floors, and the dwellings abandoned soon after. Rogue foreigners could have raided the Anasazi dwellings, scarce on food, and resulted to cannibalism. The second pattern shoes show remains were not left lying about but were dumped into trash pits or unused rooms. Billman thinks the first pattern occurred in victims homes, where they were cut up and consumed. The second pattern occurred in sites belonging to the perpetrators, who continued to use their homes after processing the bodies (Dold). This evidence leads to the theory that ...
