ABSTRACT
In the present work, PVAAg nanocomposite films with thickness 0.18 mm, constant silver content
(0.4 wt. %) and different time of reactions (0.1, 3, 5, 7, 9 h) were prepared by chemical reduction
methods. Surface topology, optical and electrical properties of PVAAg nanocomposite were studied
using absorption spectroscopy, electrometer, atomic force microscope (AFM) and photoluminescence
(PL) spectroscopy were used to characterize the prepared nanocomposites. Optical absorption
coefficient studies showed a peak at 427 nm for all samples, in addition to the peak at 200 nm for
undoped PVA film. There is observable change in the absorbed intensity at 427 nm with the time of
reaction. The refractive index was found increase with increasing the time of reaction. It was found
that the root mean square (RMS) roughness. Frank poole emission is the prevailing transport
mechanism for all samples. While PL intensity at 427 nm increase as the time of reaction is increased.

ENG4U: The Handmaid s Tale Literacy Essay Shoshannah Lewis Margret Atwood s The Handmaid s
Tale takes place in the closely monitored, male dominant area of Gilead where women are deprived of
their sexual and human rights, forbidding them to live independently. For many years prior to Gilead s
existence, women were seen as inferior to men and neglected of basic human rights such as voting,
career opportunities, and equal salaries. The Republic of Gilead was later introduced following the
transition of the United States government into a totalitarian leadership style, giving the government
complete and all power amongst society. Very similar to the second wave of feminism, where women
fought for reproductive rights, women are doing so in this near future setting of Gilead. In the novel, a
future is revealed in which female fertility has completely dwindled. Thus, women who are still fertile
are labeled Handmaid s and are sent to different upper class commanders for reproduction. With this
being said, the fact that only certain women are capable of reproduction forces completion amongst
the sex due to the high sexual standards society expects the female gender to meet. The novel follows
a Handmaid by the name of Offred, and her fight with sexual repression and exploitation of women
within the corrupt Republic of Gilead s. Atwood takes an alternative method of portraying feminism

Logos is important in this film to explain the logic behind global warming and to help the audience
realize how big of deal global warming is. When using logos in the film Gore uses animations,
numbers, and graphs to help the audience understand and grab their attention. For example, in the

the police officers tried to eliminate big concentrations of homeless in downtown Los Angeles. This

lives from both an injury as well as a financial perspective. Given that vehicles are designed to
provide a smooth means of transportation, manufacturers have long been in the process of designing
the vehicles that are based on principles of efficiency, reliability and safety. However, due to reasons
such as human error, circumstantial error, poor vision and negligence, accidents occur. Today, special
attention is focused on the technologies that can reduce traffic collisions. Hence, Vehicle to Vehicle
(V2V) technology is proposed which are simple to implement. The main objective of this paper is to
alert the driver when he closes to the front vehicle by using camera and ultrasonic sensor and to
communicate mutually for information exchange by using Xbee.

The research undertaken by us is aimed at identifying consumers attitude towards the presentation of a

19% of the questionnaires had to be discarded and this reduced our sample from 100 to 81 units. SPSS

such as language barrier, cultural barrier, and loneliness.
For many immigrants, in America, language barrier is one of the many obstacles that they have to
