Journal Wednesday, Today was a slow but productive day. My supervisor Jim Hornsby

I arrived at my practicum energetic and motivated around nine o clock as I always do with most
things in life. I had two prisoners from the organization CENTEX that arrive. They were very
nice people. Both prisoners denied therapy, so that made my job a little easier but not as fun for
me. The two individuals just wanted clothing and some food. I wrote them a voucher for both of
their needs and they left with the supervising officer. I really wanted to get to know more about
the program CENTEX, because I know if I was a prisoner I would enjoy as much time away

with their families or living in an institution. However, families did not receive much support
since most public welfare services were used towards institutional care, such as mental hospitals
