Hacker And How We Can Defend Ourselves Against Them
The term hacker and how we can defend ourselves against them
In today s society, the term hacker is very well known across the world. It is scary to know that you
are being a victim of any individual who works with remote computers. People who use unauthorized
entries to other computers through communication networks such as the Internet, are known as hacker.
Since the technology has improved, all people should have information about hackers and how we can
protect our systems against them.
Where was this term born? The term hacker comes from an idea derived from a community of
computer programmers and systems designers, in the 1960s around the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology s, Tech Model Railroad Club and MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. A hacker is a
person who secretly gets access to a computer system in order to get information. They create
programs that are so complex, even the best programmers cannot conceive them. Many of the hackers
are probably between fourteen and eighteen years old. They earn a lot of money stealing important
information; also, they steal because they are paid for doing it; but, many people have become their
prey causing them emotional disturbances. They use many ways of stealing.
Since 1997, companies have received hacker attacks in their systems, making some lose a significant
amount of money. With this history attacks it is now important to find a method to combat them. They
work stealing our passwords, using the process

Anne Hutchinson And The Persecution Of The Puritans
From 1629 to 1640, approximately 200,000 Puritans escaping King Charles I s persecution of them in
connection to the Anglican Church fled England in what was referred to as the Great Migration.
Around 21,000 of these religious refugees sailed to the northeastern coast of North America and
established the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Through ruthless cultural preservation, not only did
Massachusetts grow into the most prosperous colony of English America, but the sentiments of its
formation were also echoed by the establishment of other two most successful colonies, both of which
were founded by persecuted religious groups; Pennsylvania by the Quakers and Virginia by Royalist
Anglicans. Due to their previous experiences, the settlers of Massachusetts built a culture that centered
around the preservation and growth of their own religious practices, through the notions of order and
unity. Ironically, the means they used in order to carry out said order were often violent and through
the persecution of those who were not Puritan, similar to the way the Anglicans treated them. One of
the most notable examples of this institutional violence was that of Anne Hutchinson. Hutchinson was
a preacher who challenged the fundamental concept of predestination, which was the principle that
God had already selected those who were going to heaven and those who were going to hell. While
many Puritans considered predestination to mean that they had to live a pious life in the event that

Mission And Vision Of Baach
Mission and Vision of BAACH Brian Allgood Army Community Hospital (BAACH) is the major
Army medical hospital for U.S. Soldiers, family members, and retirees on the Korean Peninsula.
BAACH offers the major medical services for the community through emergency care, in patient care,
surgical care, ancillary care including pharmacy, lab and radiology, and most importantly primary care
services. In order to provide all of this care, the staff includes a mix of active duty Soldiers, civilian
employees, and Korean employees. Being a military treatment facility located on the Korean
Peninsula, BAACH has a unique mission statement for a hospital. It is to deter aggression through

For some individuals, this can be over a four hour drive to receive hospitalization or surgical care.
BAACH also has its internal primary care clinic that supports roughly 15,700 individuals that are
located in Seoul, South Korea. These individuals are beneficiaries under the BAACH primary care
clinic. Tricare is the health care program for the Department of Defense Military Health System. They
provide the funding for healthcare to military treatment facilities such as BAACH. The population that
is currently funded for the entire Korean peninsula is only 29,321 and the population that is funded for
Seoul is only 10,634. This is a significant delta in funding and is due to family members that are not
projected to be in South Korea, retirees, and other mandated patients that receive healthcare on a space
available basis. The delta creates issues for access to care standards to be met. The U.S. and Korean
governments have agreed to transfer operational control of all Armed Forces on the Korean peninsula
to the Korean government. One of the key steps in conducting this is to a relocation of forces within
the Korean Peninsula. This includes the movement of BAACH from Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea to
CP Humphries near Pyeongteak, South Korea. This move is approximately 60 miles south and is a
phased operation that will occur from 2015 2017. Many of the BAACH s

Pros And Cons Of African Americans
After the abolishment of Slavery by President Lincoln, previous slaves were now able to live their
lives as free people but were still constantly faced with difficulties. The main cause of those
difficulties were their white neighbors. While African American were making their ways by earning
leadership roles in their communities, they were constantly persecuted, lynched and senselessly killed
by white American. White fear had become a pretense to retain their dominance over blacks and
lynching and other violence was the most satisfying way of maintaining control . Not only were they
continuously brought down by the physical abuse of the whites, they were also unfairly abused by
their current court system run the whites. After years of repetitive ... Show more content on

Though the boys were physically coerced to get a confession out of the them, all that mattered was
they admitted to a crime they had not committed. After accusations of this rape made its way
throughout the neighborhood, a group of white men started a mob and headed to the local jail to lynch
the three young men who were being held. Upon arrival to the jail, they found a sheriff called Willis
McCall. Mr. McCall was able to turn away the first wave of the mob but a second mob came around
later on. This mob was controlled by the notorious Ku Klux Klan who were adamant on refusing to
have the African American men go to trial and would not permit the white people of their country to
become a mongrel race . Mr. McCall was not sure how to turn away the clan. After a period of unrest
caused by the Klan, a group of wealthy citizens decided to visit McCall and question on what was his
course of action to turn the Klan away. Amongst this group of wealthy leaders was a man named
Norton Wilkins. Contrary to what one with morals might be thinking, Mr. Wilkins was not trying to
turn away these mobs for the good of jailed men, he had ulterior motives. The ongoing riot of the Klan
s mob would lead a mass exodus of black workers, which would have a disastrous negative impact on
production, profits and employees at his company . Another man present was former Senator L. Day

We ll go through this from west to east, that is, specifically, Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie and
Ontario. First up, Superior. The lake used to be called gitche gumee (there are different variations, but
I like to settle on this particular one since it has its poetic value) by the Ojibwe people, living by the
shore before the Europeans came. The first group of explorers to reach the lake were the French,
during the 17th century. They referred to the lake as le lac supérieur, meaning Upper Lake , as they
discovered the lake after following Lake Huron, which is relatively lower than Lake Superior.
Decades later, the French and Indian occurred, and as the British forces became victor, they anglicised
the name to Superior. Contrary to popular

TEMPEST Essay
The Other in the Tempest
In order to understand the characters in a play, we have to be able to distinguish what exactly makes
them different. In the case of The Tempest, Caliban, the sub human slave is governed largely by his
senses, making him the animal that he is portrayed to be and Prospero is governed by sound mind,
making him human. Caliban responds to nature as his instinct is to follow it. Prospero, on the other
hand, follows the art of justifiable rule. Even though it is easy to start assessing The Tempest in view
of a colonialist gaze, I have chosen instead to concentrate on viewing Caliban as the monster he is
portrayed to be, due to other characters that are not human, but are treated in a more humane fashion
than Caliban. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
his senses, while Prospero is ruled more by his intellect and self discipline i.e. his mind. Although we
are not given details of Caliban s birth, it seems likely that a creature as subhuman in appearance as
Caliban was not born of a human union. It has been postulated that, to quote Prospero, he was got by
the devil himself upon thy wicked dam, from a union between Sycorax and an incubus (an extremely
attractive male apparition with intention to tempt). Caliban was therefore a creature born from
passion, the offspring of an unholy pleasure. Prospero was not only of noble birth; he was also born to
be ruler of the city state of Milan. Nobility, in Elizabethan times, carried with it heavy implications: it
was expected that Prospero would be intellectually superior, and that he would exercise as great
discipline over himself as he was expected to exercise over others, in his role of leadership. From their
ancestry, Prospero is more ruled by his intellect, and Caliban by his love of pleasure. Caliban s
original love for Prospero and Miranda, and his later misdemeanour and subsequent hatred for them,
illustrate his fundamental reliance on his senses. Caliban loved Prospero and Miranda because they
made much of me ; and his response to this was purely sensual in his recollections: Thou strok st
me,...wouldst give me/Water with berries in t. What Caliban responded to, more than anything else,

Building a Solid Work Ethic In Your Children Essay
Throughout my research I have noticed that kids who worked hard and were independent at a young
age became more successful in their futures. Parents who encourage their kids to work hard in their
own advantage are giving their kids a jump start on life. There are many reasons that parents should
work their kids but the main ones are, that kids will be given a jump start in life, and they will learn
important life skills like learning to be independent. Parents who encourage their kids to work are

Scientists show that the United States is one of the richest countries and that our teens are
overpowering their authority. By giving in to your children plan your child is suffering. The parents
are teaching their kids to be lazy and that money will fall out of the sky for them. In this hardship
there can be no money wasting when the balance of our economy is at hand. Your child can learn
many important life skills if you push them to work for a goal. The will learn to be independent
because when they turn 18 there will be no one to hand them money. They will need to learn how to
spend their money wisely and work for all their rights. Receiving money is a privilege not a right and
they need to prove themselves. By doing this you child is learning not to rely on the parents for
financial support. Your child will also learn responsibility because they need to make decisions for
themselves and work for their allowance. Parents who hand money away to their kids are damaging
their mental perspective on life. However, if they encourage their kids to strive for something the child
wants the child s perspective is now stronger and better developed. When your children get married
and starts his own life your teachings will reflect on him. If he relied to much on his parents he will
beg for financial support, however, if he worked for his money at a young age he will most likely be

UK? B) Is there any changes happened in board size and performance relation since 1990s in UK? C)
Is board size determined by firm s specific variables, such as profitability, Tobin s Q and firm size? D)
Whether the performance of board size depend on other characteristics that determine board size. E)
Why UK board plays less monitoring roles? Q3. Q3Theory: author have not discussed any particular
theory which is a drawback of this article. But discussed something which somehow related corporate
governance, boar and structure of board. The primary duty of the boards of director are monitoring
and advising. Author discussed about the advantages and disadvantages of having small and large
board members. And also discussed the importance of having outsiders in the board. Author used three
different performance measurement tools to evaluate firms performance (profitability, Tobin s Q,
ROA). Author provides evidence form different countries (such as, USA, Finland, Switzerland,
Canada, Malaysia) on the relationship between board size and firm performance. Most of the evidence
proved negative relationship between board size and firm performance. Q5 Method; Author used
generalised method of moment (GMM) estimator which allows board size to adjust with past
performance. Various regression model used; Fixed effect model which control unnoticed variables,

A Brief Examination of the Immigration and Refugee Board...
A Brief Examination of the Immigration Refugee Board The Immigration and Refugee Board of
Canada is an independent tribunal established by the Parliament of Canada. Our mission, on behalf of
Canadians, is to resolve immigration and refugee cases efficiently, fairly and in accordance with the
law. ~Mission Statement of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada For various reasons, it may
become necessary to leave one s home country. Many people are attracted to Canada. Some people do
not leave their countries because of choice, but because of unjust persecution. Such persons are
referred to as refugees. There exists an administrative body that addresses the needs and rights of
refugees seeking relocation and settlement in Canada; this administrative body is called the
Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Refugees very often are in desperate situations that called
for cultural sensitivity and processing through legal avenues. The Immigration and Refugee Board of
Canada handles these duties. This paper will briefly examine this board, its decision making process,
and evaluate the efficacy of the board. The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada came into
existence following a ruling by the Supreme Court of Canada. This ruling concludes that there must be
hearings for all those persons claiming refugee status in Canada. Currently, there are three divisions to
the Immigration and Refugee Board. They are the Immigration Division, the Refugee Protection

They, not the people, were the basic building blocks in the social system. The people must act through
state governments to direct the national government, and the national government must act through the

Martin from New Jersey during the Constitutional Convention. Martin walked out of the
Constitutional Convention due to what he felt was the powerful structure of the new national

federal authority over state authority. This historical perspective defines how some members, such as

Federal Theater Project Essay
The 20th Century was home to many important events in history, one of the most memorable being
The Great Depression. Unemployment was at an all time high, businesses were forced to shut down,
and suicide rates were through the roof. New York City was no exception. 213 of it s 253 theaters
were forced to close, putting hundreds of thousands of theater people out of work. In these devastating
times, a hopeless yet admirable organization known as the Federal Theatre Project (FTP) was created
by request of President Roosevelt. Originally created to preserve music and art, this project consumed
government funds, was plagued by censorship, and was blatantly biased in social issues, with the end
result being far from it s original goal. Created by Harry Hopkins, the FTP had one main goal: Free,
adult, uncensored theater. In the short amount of time this project was actually afloat, it recreated
dozens of theaters, gave over 12,000 people jobs, and succeeded in one of their main goals by
admitting 78% of people for free. This may sound nice and peachy, but there was one big issue: There
was absolutely no money to be made. The commercial theater had been trying unsuccessfully to gain
government backing for a financially devastated Broadway as early as 1930, but using Federal ...

Tort Laws Should Be Legal
Tort laws are laws that offer remedies to individuals harmed by the unreasonable actions of others.
Tort claims usually involve state law and are based on the legal premise that individuals are liable for
the consequences of their conduct if it results in injury to others (McCarthy Cambron McCabe, 1992).
One of the major, most well known tort categories is negligence, which is usually a situation when
someone accidentally does wrong, which in turns causes injury to another person. In a negligent tort
claim the plaintiff must prove four elements to have a successful claim. The first element is duty, a
plaintiff must prove that a duty of care was owed by the the defendant (Lau Johnson, 2011). The
second element is that the defendant breached that duty. The third element is causation. The plaintiff
must also prove an actual connection between the defendant s conduct and the resulting harm. A
casual causation, in which case the defendants actions directly caused the injury, or a proximate
causation is one in which the defendant s actions were the proximate cause of the plaintiff s injury.
Deciding if there is proximate cause can be more difficult to determine, as it must be concluded that
the injury was foreseeable. If the injury was not foreseeable than proximate cause does not exist.
Lastly, the fourth element of a negligent tort claim is damages or recognizable injuries. The injury
must be actual, real and not imaginary but can be physical, emotional, monetary or

that can be found and mined in natural solid form in small or large quantities and some that are found

The Great Northwoods Essay
The Great Northwoods
As with all things, the history of an event does not begin at its conception. With this in mind, it is my
intention to provide the reader with a general history of events that led to the formation of the Nicolet
National Forest of northern Wisconsin. In order to do so, I found it necessary to begin with the early
explorations of such notables as James Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, and Jean Nicolet. These French
explorers blazed a path that enabled the settling of the territories now know as Wisconsin. Men like
them embodied the new era of exploration that was gripping the European nations with the quest for
empire, trade, and the advancement of Christianity, leading the way. In addition, attention ... Show

Fires had become rampant within the region, lives were being lost, and the government became
determined to correct the situation. I have determined that the end point of my discussion will be the
years leading up to World War II. For while the Great Depression brought about untold suffering for
many, it was actually the giver of life for the Nicolet National Forest. People needed work, and the
government was searching for ways to put them to work. Forming and nurturing the growth of a
National Forest was the ideal answer for thousands. The years immediately proceeding World War II
brought back economic security for many, and left a legacy of many industrial accomplishments as
well as non industrial accomplishments such as the Nicolet National Forest. In conclusion, the manner
that I have chosen to write this paper was presented to me by my sources. Of the few sources that I
was able to garner dealing solely with the Nicolet National Forest, each followed the same general
outline. And, since importance was stressed upon these areas already by established historians, I felt
that it should not be ignored.
The first major exploration that bears particular relevance to the Nicolet National Forest begins with

The Pros And Cons Of Anabolic Steroids
Anabolic steroids are a very controversial issue, commonly covered in the mainstream media of today.
Anabolic steroid is the common name for a synthetic version of the male sex hormone testosterone,
although the full terminology of these are androgenic anabolic steroids. Anabolic being the synthesis
of new muscles and androgenic meaning a boost of male sexual characteristics (National Institute of
Drug Abuse, 2012). Most commonly utilized by amateur body builders or just people trying to bulk
up, the synthetic testosterone is banned in all levels of sporting competition, for quite blatantly giving
an unfair physical advantage to the user. Anabolic steroids are frequently identified as the most
effective muscle gaining supplements around, although studies have shown how they can have
negative effects over long periods of time, both physically and socially, indicating reasons why the
potentially dangerous supplements is illegal. This often brings up a lot of controversial discussion
surrounding their uses. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Both men and women who regularly use gym facilities or find another effective means of working out,
especially those that are trying to put on more general muscle mass, will rightfully argue that use of
steroids is by far the most efficient method to do so. Anabolic steroids cut out fat, allow for more
oxygen to reach the muscles and make room for more pure muscle to grow (Fahey, T.D. 1998).
Socially they can enhance both the performance and aesthetic appearance of the user, giving the user a
new found confidence which can help them out in all areas of life and interaction with other people.
Sexual arousal and performance is also significantly boosted through the use of steroids, being a
positive for anyone in a steady relationship. These can be attractive propositions to many younger
adults and will have them supporting the legal use of these hormone

father s workplace utilizes several different routing protocols. The majority of their routing is

to four routers only. Finally BGP is used with the edge devices. BGP was designed as the main routing
protocol of the Internet. IPX was never an option. This was used primarily with the older Novell
networks. Class A IP s are used in their environment. This gives them great flexibility to split the
network into smaller subnets based on each sites needs. Class D E are not used. Class D is typically

The Decision Struck Down A Statute
In 1976, by a 7 2 decision, the Court adopted an intermediate level of review for gender classifications
in the case Craig v. Boren. The decision struck down a statute that allowed women over the age of
eighteen to purchase beer but only men over the age of twenty one. Using this intermediate scrutiny,
the Court has invalidated gender segregation across the board. However, while this heightened level of
scrutiny has drastically helped women, it has not been equal in its effect on men. Since Craig, the
Court has upheld a requirement that only men register for the draft (Rostker v. Goldberg) and a
statutory rape law where only adult men were punished for having sex with an underage individual of
the opposite sex (Michael M. v. Superior Court). While these cases occurred in the 80s, this trend of
favoring women over men in gender discrimination cases has continued, especially in regards to
administrative law and protection. Recent Supreme Court cases reveal that men are still being
unfavorably ruled against over women, leading one to believe a push for strict scrutiny is key in
bridging that gap and implementing a federal statute that all States must obey in order to ensure
gender equality is achieved on both sides of the spectrum.
Beginning in the 70s, even before the decision of Craig, one is able to notice a trend of men seeming
to fail where women have strived in court. A notable case is Frontiero v. Richardson which involved a
lieutenant of the United States Air Force

A Brief Look at Guantanamo Bay
today Guantanamo Bay has been a big topic in today s society. On his campaign trail, President
Obama pledged, I will close Guantanamo bay detention center within a year of being elected . My
main argument has to be the amount of money were wasting on this prison. To be specific according to
democratic lawmakers it has skyrocketed to $2.7 million per inmate. Guantanamo has been dubbed
the most expensive prison on earth. President Barack Obama in May citied its cost then calculated at
about $900,000 per prisoner. That s one of the many reasons to close it. My evidence supports my
topic sentence because it just states fact of why this expensive prison should be shut down. It s
common sense would you rather have all the money the tax payers ... Show more content on

Seems unfair right? But if that doesn t convince you that this prison is worthless then this might. The
pentagon wants to more improvements on the prison and spend more of YOUR hard working money. I
guarantee you that the shutdown of this prison will bring a lot of great benefits. First the spending of
ridiculous money on a prison will be out of the picture. Second the boycotts in front of the white
house and government building will stop. People that want this prison close will do everything they
can to get it shut down and create something more productive that can benefit everyone in the United
States for the future.
Even though my main argument has to be the amount of money we re wasting on this prison, they
should close down the prison because we can t be wasting that much money on inmates that should be
dead. The United State citizens who are paying from their taxes are not agreeing with this prison
instead of wasting the money on that they can help the economy boost back up.
The most important reason they should close the prison down has to be the amount of money we are
wasting on it. We waste $2.7 million dollars a year on EACH inmate. If this doesn t seem legit all the
money budget can be found very quickly. We need all our money to go to us and help us boost up our
economy. The prison isn t worth keeping and having those inmates being kept there.
The smart thing to do in a scenario like this has to be is shutting the prison down and save our money

Child Support Calculated
Whether you are currently involved in divorce proceedings or you have been divorced or separated for
a while, if there are children involved, child support might be an ongoing battle. If you are the parent
getting the child support, you likely want to make sure your children are properly cared for financially.
If you are the parent paying the child support, you want your children to be cared for financially, but
you also do not want to pay more than your fair share for the care of your children. There are several
things you should understand about child support according to Minnesota law.
Who Can Ask for Child Support?
Generally, the custodial parent will get child support from the non custodial parent. This can happen
after a divorce or legal separation, as well as between parents who were never married. If there is a
dispute ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are several factors that go into determining child support payments. This includes both parents
gross income, the number of children, and the custodial arrangement. For example, a parent who has
the child for three days a week will pay less in child support than a parent who only sees the child a
few hours a month. The parent who has the child more often is likely already paying more for the
child s needs and expenses.
When it comes to calculating the actual financial support needed for a child, expenses can be divided
into three categories. The first, basic support, includes things like housing, food, clothing, education,
transportation, and other expenses associated with raising a child. The second area is medical support.
This includes the cost of health and dental insurance and costs associated with medical and dental care
for the child. The final category is child care support, which covers day care costs for the child while
the parents are working. Some of these costs will stay pretty steady throughout your child s life while
others will go up or down depending upon the family s

The Garment and Textile Industry in Bangladesh Essay
Case 3
Professor
September 3, 2014
Bangladesh is a south Asian country and has an approximate population reaching 164 million. The
manufacturing industry is what Bangladesh is known for. That industry also accounted for almost 12%
of GDP in 2009 and 2010 with employing over four million people (The Bangladesh Accord
Foundation, 2014). The labor force is made up of young, urbanizing, mainly women. Bangladesh
accounts for approximately 78% total exports (The Bangladesh Accord Foundation, 2014), which is
second to China.
The cost is kept low with labor and the production. This helps competing in the export trading world. I

Bilateral agreements with 28 countries and Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) of the EU are
key reasons for Bangladesh RMG products having access to global markets (Board of Investment
Bangladesh, 2012).
Best alternative
The best alternative would be improve the infrastructure, and increase the price of exporting, but still
lower than any other country. Bangladesh would make a larger profit and could put more money on
fixed and creating the ports and roads which in return will make it easier for the buying countries. If
the prices continue to stay low, the country may not have enough money for infrastructure.
Bangladesh would have more money to help with the electricity outages which can also help business
buy producing more and exporting more.
Implementation plan The implementation would be analyzing the competitions textile export prices,
and then increase the price to keep it right below the competition. This will allow Bangladesh to gain
more profit and place that into infrastructure. They would also want to focus on the electricity so labor
improves and more textiles can be made. This plan will allow for easier flowing importing and most
importantly exporting. This will also create a better working environment in the textile mills and will
create more production.

Essay on Baroque Music
Baroque Music
In 1600 a new style of music began to evolve, this form of music was later to be called Baroque.
Baroque music was very different to the music before its time such as medieval and early renaissance
music and the development of new harmonic and melodic lines added difference in pace and variation
to the compositions giving them a new shape and form. The structure of the music also changed,
different forms such as fugues and cannons developed and different instruments were introduced.
There were many composers that wrote music throughout the baroque era, some more significant than
others but each contributing a large amount to the development throughout this period.

Handel s father disapproved of his composing wanting him to study law; however Handel s intentions
were strongly pointed in the direction of his musical talent. Handel became very much involved in the
Opera scene developing in London at this time and became key to it s development. After leaving
Germany he spent a significant amount of time in Florence, Rome, Naples and Venice and in this time
he studied with other influential artists such as ArcangeloCorelli. He then left Italy in 1710 and moved
to Hanover; here he was given the job of director of music to George Louis, the Elector. Handel was
considered as one of England s most influential composers and after his death in 1710 he was buried
in Westminster Abbey.
Johann Sebastian Bach was born on March 21st l685 and died in 1750, he was said to have a great
ability of bringing the different forms and styles of baroque music to perfection and this helped him
stand out as a significant composer during the baroque era and forward till today. Bach came from a
family with a large amount of musical history making him well known in his home land of southeast
Germany. It was clear that Bach was considered a powerful composer because he was still dominant to
the developments made on the baroque style even though he

Analysis Of The Yellow Wall Paper
Charlotte Perkins Gilman s The Yellow Wall paper serves as a perfect example of how women are
treated in the 19th century. The distracting details both surrounding and filling the new house that the
main character and her husband move into haunt her. Throughout the story, the main character, as she
observes the house while in isolation, notices the true meaning in life, specifically for women. Gilman
s piece unveils the unfortunate requirements that women must meet in order to become accepted into
society. The imagery and description of the house mentioned in The Yellow Wall paper holds a much
more symbolized sense reassuring the main character about women s roles in life, according to
humanity. Along with the other furniture in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Anything that comes out of the main character s mouth regarding the desire to rearrange the house for
valid purposes sounds silly to him, as he continues to treat her less than a wife, let alone a woman. To
him, all that mattered was his wife to stay healthy for [his] sake and for [their] child s sake, as well as
for [her] own exactly in that order (Gilman, 850). The main character must focus on being the perfect
wife, the perfect mother, and serve the family whenever they depended on her. Her own health and
worries were her last priority. John, just like society, expects high standards for women to meet in
order to belong and if they couldn t meet those expectations, then they were not respected. Not only
does the main character observe the meaning behind the wallpaper, but so does her sister in law.
However, it does not seem to satisfy her nor change her perspective on life either. John s sister seems
to be content living the domestic life, and hopes for no better profession , and obeys society s values.
Jennie portrays the women from the 19th century who follow what every man would want in a lady
(Gilman, 847). There was no need for a woman to be out working when that job belonged to the
husband. The wife was needed at home for the children, as well as clean any mess or cook all the
meals for the family, as they depended on her to do so. One attribute from the house that almost drove
the main character over the edge was the nursery, especially

Essay on Crew Resource Management (Aviation)
In this day Crew Resource Management (CRM) is strongly evident within the aviation industry.
Having developed a positive reputation over the years of its application, it is highly recognised as an
icon for safety practices among many major operators. Airline operators and wider aviation industries
adopt CRM, on a global scale, to attain the desired goal of influencing flight crew members to operate
more safely and effectively as one co operative unit (rather than as individuals). The positive
application of crew resource management envisages minimised risks and consequently, safer skies for

Fifty seconds after reaching their assigned altitude, Captain Loft required First Officer Stockstill s
assistance in removing the nose wheel indicator light assembly to investigate the likeliness of a blown
light bulb and hence, instructed him to engage the autopilot at 2000 feet. For the next eighty seconds
the plane maintained level flight. Then it dropped one hundred feet (30 m), and then again flew level
for two more minutes, after which it began a descent so gradual it could not be perceived by the crew.
In the next seventy seconds, the plane lost only 250 feet (76 m), but this was enough to trigger the
altitude warning C chord chime located under the engineer s workstation. The engineer (or Second
Officer) had gone below deck following Loft s instructions, and there was no indication by the pilot s
voices recorded on the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) that the warning chime was acknowledged. In
another fifty seconds, the plane was at half its assigned altitude. The CVR recorded the last few
moments of conversation between the crew, acknowledging the change in altitude: Stockstill: We did
something to the altitude. Loft: What? Stockstill: We re still at 2,000 feet, right? Loft: Hey what s
happening here? (NTSB, 1973) Official observations find a probable cause of this accident to be the
insufficiencies of flight crew to properly monitor flight instruments

Comparing Nietzsche s Beyond Good And Evil
In Beyond Good and Evil , Nietzsche reveals the two primary forms of morality, this would be the
master morality and slave morality. In the lecture we discussed Nietzche s fatalism he believed that
events people are fated, so each individual is fated to either have a master or slave type morality. The
master morality is the morality of the people, who are strong willed people. The good is the strong,
powerful and the noble, whereas the evil is the cowardly, powerless and meek. The essence of the
master morality is dignity, bravery, honesty and sense of self worth. That is to say that it takes the
good and the bad are equivalent to nobility and shame. Master morality is the essentially the affirming
morality. The Master morality affirms life, it is the here and now, and it is like nature and instincts. ...

  • 2. Hacker And How We Can Defend Ourselves Against Them The term hacker and how we can defend ourselves against them In today s society, the term hacker is very well known across the world. It is scary to know that you are being a victim of any individual who works with remote computers. People who use unauthorized entries to other computers through communication networks such as the Internet, are known as hacker. Since the technology has improved, all people should have information about hackers and how we can protect our systems against them. Where was this term born? The term hacker comes from an idea derived from a community of computer programmers and systems designers, in the 1960s around the Massachusetts Institute of Technology s, Tech Model Railroad Club and MIT Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. A hacker is a person who secretly gets access to a computer system in order to get information. They create programs that are so complex, even the best programmers cannot conceive them. Many of the hackers are probably between fourteen and eighteen years old. They earn a lot of money stealing important information; also, they steal because they are paid for doing it; but, many people have become their prey causing them emotional disturbances. They use many ways of stealing. Since 1997, companies have received hacker attacks in their systems, making some lose a significant amount of money. With this history attacks it is now important to find a method to combat them. They work stealing our passwords, using the process ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Anne Hutchinson And The Persecution Of The Puritans From 1629 to 1640, approximately 200,000 Puritans escaping King Charles I s persecution of them in connection to the Anglican Church fled England in what was referred to as the Great Migration. Around 21,000 of these religious refugees sailed to the northeastern coast of North America and established the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Through ruthless cultural preservation, not only did Massachusetts grow into the most prosperous colony of English America, but the sentiments of its formation were also echoed by the establishment of other two most successful colonies, both of which were founded by persecuted religious groups; Pennsylvania by the Quakers and Virginia by Royalist Anglicans. Due to their previous experiences, the settlers of Massachusetts built a culture that centered around the preservation and growth of their own religious practices, through the notions of order and unity. Ironically, the means they used in order to carry out said order were often violent and through the persecution of those who were not Puritan, similar to the way the Anglicans treated them. One of the most notable examples of this institutional violence was that of Anne Hutchinson. Hutchinson was a preacher who challenged the fundamental concept of predestination, which was the principle that God had already selected those who were going to heaven and those who were going to hell. While many Puritans considered predestination to mean that they had to live a pious life in the event that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

For some individuals, this can be over a four hour drive to receive hospitalization or surgical care. BAACH also has its internal primary care clinic that supports roughly 15,700 individuals that are located in Seoul, South Korea. These individuals are beneficiaries under the BAACH primary care clinic. Tricare is the health care program for the Department of Defense Military Health System. They provide the funding for healthcare to military treatment facilities such as BAACH. The population that is currently funded for the entire Korean peninsula is only 29,321 and the population that is funded for Seoul is only 10,634. This is a significant delta in funding and is due to family members that are not projected to be in South Korea, retirees, and other mandated patients that receive healthcare on a space available basis. The delta creates issues for access to care standards to be met. The U.S. and Korean governments have agreed to transfer operational control of all Armed Forces on the Korean peninsula to the Korean government. One of the key steps in conducting this is to a relocation of forces within the Korean Peninsula. This includes the movement of BAACH from Yongsan, Seoul, South Korea to CP Humphries near Pyeongteak, South Korea. This move is approximately 60 miles south and is a phased operation that will occur from 2015 2017. Many of the BAACH s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Pros And Cons Of African Americans After the abolishment of Slavery by President Lincoln, previous slaves were now able to live their lives as free people but were still constantly faced with difficulties. The main cause of those difficulties were their white neighbors. While African American were making their ways by earning leadership roles in their communities, they were constantly persecuted, lynched and senselessly killed by white American. White fear had become a pretense to retain their dominance over blacks and lynching and other violence was the most satisfying way of maintaining control . Not only were they continuously brought down by the physical abuse of the whites, they were also unfairly abused by their current court system run the whites. After years of repetitive ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though the boys were physically coerced to get a confession out of the them, all that mattered was they admitted to a crime they had not committed. After accusations of this rape made its way throughout the neighborhood, a group of white men started a mob and headed to the local jail to lynch the three young men who were being held. Upon arrival to the jail, they found a sheriff called Willis McCall. Mr. McCall was able to turn away the first wave of the mob but a second mob came around later on. This mob was controlled by the notorious Ku Klux Klan who were adamant on refusing to have the African American men go to trial and would not permit the white people of their country to become a mongrel race . Mr. McCall was not sure how to turn away the clan. After a period of unrest caused by the Klan, a group of wealthy citizens decided to visit McCall and question on what was his course of action to turn the Klan away. Amongst this group of wealthy leaders was a man named Norton Wilkins. Contrary to what one with morals might be thinking, Mr. Wilkins was not trying to turn away these mobs for the good of jailed men, he had ulterior motives. The ongoing riot of the Klan s mob would lead a mass exodus of black workers, which would have a disastrous negative impact on production, profits and employees at his company . The lake used to be called gitche gumee (there are different variations, but I like to settle on this particular one since it has its poetic value) by the Ojibwe people, living by the shore before the Europeans came. The first group of explorers to reach the lake were the French, during the 17th century. They referred to the lake as le lac supérieur, meaning Upper Lake , as they discovered the lake after following Lake Huron, which is relatively lower than Lake Superior. Decades later, the French and Indian occurred, and as the British forces became victor, they anglicised the name to Superior. Contrary to popular ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. TEMPEST Essay The Other in the Tempest In order to understand the characters in a play, we have to be able to distinguish what exactly makes them different. In the case of The Tempest, Caliban, the sub human slave is governed largely by his senses, making him the animal that he is portrayed to be and Prospero is governed by sound mind, making him human. Caliban responds to nature as his instinct is to follow it. Prospero, on the other hand, follows the art of justifiable rule. Even though it is easy to start assessing The Tempest in view of a colonialist gaze, I have chosen instead to concentrate on viewing Caliban as the monster he is portrayed to be, due to other characters that are not human, but are treated in a more humane fashion than Caliban. ... Although we are not given details of Caliban s birth, it seems likely that a creature as subhuman in appearance as Caliban was not born of a human union. It has been postulated that, to quote Prospero, he was got by the devil himself upon thy wicked dam, from a union between Sycorax and an incubus (an extremely attractive male apparition with intention to tempt). Caliban was therefore a creature born from passion, the offspring of an unholy pleasure. Prospero was not only of noble birth; he was also born to be ruler of the city state of Milan. Nobility, in Elizabethan times, carried with it heavy implications: it was expected that Prospero would be intellectually superior, and that he would exercise as great discipline over himself as he was expected to exercise over others, in his role of leadership. From their ancestry, Prospero is more ruled by his intellect, and Caliban by his love of pleasure. Caliban s original love for Prospero and Miranda, and his later misdemeanour and subsequent hatred for them, illustrate his fundamental reliance on his senses. Caliban loved Prospero and Miranda because they made much of me ; and his response to this was purely sensual in his recollections: Thou strok st me,...wouldst give me/Water with berries in t. Parents who encourage their kids to work hard in their own advantage are giving their kids a jump start on life. There are many reasons that parents should work their kids but the main ones are, that kids will be given a jump start in life, and they will learn important life skills like learning to be independent. The parents are teaching their kids to be lazy and that money will fall out of the sky for them. In this hardship there can be no money wasting when the balance of our economy is at hand. Your child can learn many important life skills if you push them to work for a goal. The will learn to be independent because when they turn 18 there will be no one to hand them money. They will need to learn how to spend their money wisely and work for all their rights. Receiving money is a privilege not a right and they need to prove themselves. By doing this you child is learning not to rely on the parents for financial support. Your child will also learn responsibility because they need to make decisions for themselves and work for their allowance. New York City was no exception. 213 of it s 253 theaters were forced to close, putting hundreds of thousands of theater people out of work. In these devastating times, a hopeless yet admirable organization known as the Federal Theatre Project (FTP) was created by request of President Roosevelt. Originally created to preserve music and art, this project consumed government funds, was plagued by censorship, and was blatantly biased in social issues, with the end result being far from it s original goal. Created by Harry Hopkins, the FTP had one main goal: Free, adult, uncensored theater. In the short amount of time this project was actually afloat, it recreated dozens of theaters, gave over 12,000 people jobs, and succeeded in one of their main goals by admitting 78% of people for free. • 16. Tort Laws Should Be Legal Tort laws are laws that offer remedies to individuals harmed by the unreasonable actions of others. Tort claims usually involve state law and are based on the legal premise that individuals are liable for the consequences of their conduct if it results in injury to others (McCarthy Cambron McCabe, 1992). One of the major, most well known tort categories is negligence, which is usually a situation when someone accidentally does wrong, which in turns causes injury to another person. In a negligent tort claim the plaintiff must prove four elements to have a successful claim. The first element is duty, a plaintiff must prove that a duty of care was owed by the the defendant (Lau Johnson, 2011). The second element is that the defendant breached that duty. The third element is causation. The plaintiff must also prove an actual connection between the defendant s conduct and the resulting harm. A casual causation, in which case the defendants actions directly caused the injury, or a proximate causation is one in which the defendant s actions were the proximate cause of the plaintiff s injury. Deciding if there is proximate cause can be more difficult to determine, as it must be concluded that the injury was foreseeable. If the injury was not foreseeable than proximate cause does not exist. Lastly, the fourth element of a negligent tort claim is damages or recognizable injuries. With this in mind, it is my intention to provide the reader with a general history of events that led to the formation of the Nicolet National Forest of northern Wisconsin. In order to do so, I found it necessary to begin with the early explorations of such notables as James Cartier, Samuel de Champlain, and Jean Nicolet. These French explorers blazed a path that enabled the settling of the territories now know as Wisconsin. I have determined that the end point of my discussion will be the years leading up to World War II. The decision struck down a statute that allowed women over the age of eighteen to purchase beer but only men over the age of twenty one. Using this intermediate scrutiny, the Court has invalidated gender segregation across the board. However, while this heightened level of scrutiny has drastically helped women, it has not been equal in its effect on men. Since Craig, the Court has upheld a requirement that only men register for the draft (Rostker v. Goldberg) and a statutory rape law where only adult men were punished for having sex with an underage individual of the opposite sex (Michael M. v. Superior Court). While these cases occurred in the 80s, this trend of favoring women over men in gender discrimination cases has continued, especially in regards to administrative law and protection. Recent Supreme Court cases reveal that men are still being unfavorably ruled against over women, leading one to believe a push for strict scrutiny is key in bridging that gap and implementing a federal statute that all States must obey in order to ensure gender equality is achieved on both sides of the spectrum. One attribute from the house that almost drove the main character over the edge was the nursery, especially ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 34. Essay on Crew Resource Management (Aviation) In this day Crew Resource Management (CRM) is strongly evident within the aviation industry. Having developed a positive reputation over the years of its application, it is highly recognised as an icon for safety practices among many major operators. Airline operators and wider aviation industries adopt CRM, on a global scale, to attain the desired goal of influencing flight crew members to operate more safely and effectively as one co operative unit (rather than as individuals). Fifty seconds after reaching their assigned altitude, Captain Loft required First Officer Stockstill s assistance in removing the nose wheel indicator light assembly to investigate the likeliness of a blown light bulb and hence, instructed him to engage the autopilot at 2000 feet. For the next eighty seconds the plane maintained level flight. Then it dropped one hundred feet (30 m), and then again flew level for two more minutes, after which it began a descent so gradual it could not be perceived by the crew. In the next seventy seconds, the plane lost only 250 feet (76 m), but this was enough to trigger the altitude warning C chord chime located under the engineer s workstation. The engineer (or Second Officer) had gone below deck following Loft s instructions, and there was no indication by the pilot s voices recorded on the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) that the warning chime was acknowledged. In another fifty seconds, the plane was at half its assigned altitude. The CVR recorded the last few moments of conversation between the crew, acknowledging the change in altitude: Stockstill: We did something to the altitude. Loft: What? Stockstill: We re still at 2,000 feet, right? Loft: Hey what s happening here? (NTSB, 1973) Official observations find a probable cause of this accident to be the insufficiencies of flight crew to properly monitor flight instruments ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
