There are six kingdoms of life that classify organisms based on cell structure, nutrition, and other factors. The kingdoms are Archaebacteria, Eubacteria, Protists, Fungi, Plants, and Animals. Archaebacteria and Eubacteria are prokaryotic organisms, while Protists, Fungi, Plants, and Animals are eukaryotic. The kingdoms differ in whether organisms are unicellular or multicellular, autotrophic or heterotrophic, and in other distinctive characteristics. These six kingdoms provide the broadest classification for organizing life on Earth.
