Prerequisites
• Installed SQL server with SQL Management studio
• TC_PCM setup pack
• license file
Software Technologies

To install SQL server and SQL Management Studio
• Follow the YouTube video link as below, install SQL server &
Management Studio

• Open SQL Management studio

• Enter login credentials & click on connect or press Enter key

• At left pane you can view all installed databases

Download software pack from GTAC
•Open the below link to check latest available versions of TC_PCM
https://download.industrysoftware.automation.siemens.com/
• Download the latest version software: tcpcm_version no_patch
no_Production.zip- size (in bytes)- date
(check in next slide)

To install the software
1. Unzip the setup folder
2. Open the setup folder
3. Open “Client folder”

4. Double click or open the “PPC.application” file
5. Click on “Install”

Application has installed

6. In the right bottom of the login screen, click on “manage database
connections”

7. Click on “New”

8. Furnish the database connection details as shown & click on “create”
in the bottom

Wait till the creation of database in SQL

9. Database created successfully, click on “Accept”

10. In the application login screen, click on “Log in”

11. Browse for license file

12. Select the license file & click on Open

13. Check in for agree the conditions & click on “save”

14. Click OK to restart TC_PCM
15. Followed by Click OK on Product Excellence Program information

Application installed successfully & Opened

TCPCM database created in SQL Management Studio
Disconnect & Reconnect to Database Engine in SQL Management
Studio

TCPCM database created in SQL Management Studio
TC_PCM Database created in SQL Management studio

To upload Master Data
1. On standard toolbar click on “Help” followed by “About”

2. Copy “Installation directory” path

3. On standard toolbar, Go to “Master data”, click on “Download master
data files”

3.1. On standard toolbar, Go to “Master data”, select “Import master
data file” followed by click on Download & Close

4. On standard toolbar, Go to “Master data”, select “Import master data
file”

4. Paste the copied link in address bar & press Enter

5. Open the "Resources” folder

6. Holding ctrl key select all .ppcmd files & click on Open

Wait till the following files, pictures & datasets get loaded

To upload Exchange rate file
• Exchange rates can be uploaded in .xlsx file. The file should have two
sheets i.e., Header & Detail
• In Header sheet, Currency designation as per country wise details
need to be furnished.
• In Detail sheet, exchange rates as per currency wise need to be
populated.
• Save as Exchange Rate file in specific folder.

Note: Here currency
exchange rates are
furnished with
reference to 1 Euro.

• On standard toolbar Go to “View” & select “Full-text search”

• From the Right side pane, click on drop down & select “Exchange
Rate”

• Right click & select “Import”

In the configurations window ensure converter for exchange rate is
highlighted & click on “Next” in the bottom

• You can rename the New configuration & click on Save

• Browse for import file path, select the file & click on Next

• Lines before table heading is “zero” & click on Next

• In datasheets window, select “Header” & click on Next

• Maximize the window, change the Column name corresponding to
Field Name & click on Next in the bottom

• Click on Execute in the bottom

• Save the configuration

• Successfully executed. Click on Exit

• To upload, Exchange Rate detail. In the Right pane, Full text search
Window, Click on the dropdown & select Exchange Rate detail,

• Under the Exchange Rate detail, Right click anywhere in the window
& select “import”

• Click on Next to set new configuration

• Save the New configuration (You can rename if need)

• Verify the import file path, if not valid, browse for the path & click on
“Next”

• Set Lines before table heading as “zero”, Click on Next

• Ensure Detail Table got designated & click on Next

• In the bottom, click on Manage columns to add mandatory row

• Maximize the window, select Exchange rate entry from left window &
Add to select entries (Right window)

• Ensure select entry got added & click on OK in the bottom

• Maximize this window to map the fields

• Add value as “Public” for the line Owner (Exchange rate detail) & click
on Accept

• Map for appropriate column names according to field name & click
on Next
Map as “(none)” for
owner field

Click on Execute in the bottom

• Save the configuration

• Successfully executed, Click on Exit

• Can verify in the full text search for Exchange rate

• Can verify in the full text search for Exchange rate detail

• You can use the last saved configurations to upload the updated
Exchange rate file
Note: Not necessary
to go for manage
columns if last
configuration is
used
