Maury Davis Case Study
Title: Maury Davis The Man behind the Latest Growth Chapter for Cornerstone Church is the $17M
Expansion Description Pastor Maury Davis is the man behind the latest development chapter of the
Cornerstone Church in Nashville, Tennessee. Pastor Maury Davis along with three elected officials led
the foundation stone for the $17 million expansion of the Cornerstone Old Hickory Boulevard
building. This expansion is spread over an area of 95,000 square foot and it includes a specific area for
youth and child ministries, a deli and a café. This project also called for the renovation program of
1/3rd of the already existing facility which is spread over an area of 135,000 square foot. This facility

crooked pinky found on the left hand of this preacher serves as the only available hint about the life he
led formerly. This serves as the permanent remnant from the years that Davis spent while dealing in
drugs. He was a drug addict who was further convicted for murdering a 54 year old lady from Irving,

Trip To Mars Could Damage Astronaut s Brain
Have you ever thought how great it would be to go to space, well if so, you should think again. If we
do get the technology to go to space, it could lead to brain dangerous for the astronauts who go to
space, that due to the radiation particles in the space atmosphere. We should not spend valuable
resources on space exploration.
To begin, it is really dangerous for the astronauts. In Trip To Mars Could Damage Astronaut s Brain it
states that in space atmosphere there are dangerous particles that could damage the brain. This is
significant because the astronauts are going to be in space for a long time, which that can lead to the
brain damage, and they could suffer from it for the rest of their lives. In Danger! This Mission to Mars
Could Bore You to Death it states that the astronaut that are on the mission to Mars, could get get
bored to point to die. This is important because boredom can lead to death, and the astronaut might
forget a step or misread the gauge.

The Themes Of African American Literature
Within African American Literature, there are many themes that are relatable across many different
forms of media. Paintings, for example, can have similar and contradictory themes to those that are
used in African American Literature. Like authors with their literature, artists too take from their
experiences and opinions and form a creation that is a reflection of what they believe. These creations,
both literature and paintings, can contain certain topics that are quite alike. Ellis Wilson, and African
American artist, created a painting that exhibits the theme of spirituality in his painting Prayer in the
Field. This theme can be linked to at least three works from African American literature that broadens
the way readers and spectators of art see spirituality.
In Prayer in the Field, it is not difficult to see that spirituality is a major theme. There are three
elements of this painting that support the theme of spirituality. The first element of this painting that
one notices is the bright colors used. Ellis Wilson, whom is known for his expressive, emphasis of
color, uses warm and inviting colors to create a scene that conveys complete tranquility (Ellis Wilson).
Along with color, the next element is the four figures kneeling in the field praying. These elongated
forms, which Wilson is also known for, are what bring in the spirituality aspect (Ellis Wilson). The
tone of Prayer in the Field created by the colors is what gives these kneeling figures meaning. The

Australian Justice System Analysis
Introduction
The justice system of Australia was originally developed on 1 January 1901, this was named the
constitution. The organised system of law which is now enforced in Australia originated from a series
of British statuses, when they colonised Australia. Although the laws of Australia is now different
from the United Kingdom in many respects, from the beginnings of the settlement; the underlying
patterns of thought reflect the common law traditions which were originally received from Britain of
the time. The constitution has 128 sections which covers everything from the structure and power of
federal, state and local government, to the establishment of the High Court of Australia, High Court

documents and material. The solicitor s role is conducted and dealt with outside of the court rooms;

The World Of A Capitalistic Society
Living in a capitalistic society, we are constantly bombarded with the notion of buying from large
brand named corporations in order to save money. But I bring up the question, is this really helping
you and your family in the end, or the billionaires living at the top? Large corporations allow for small
businesses to essentially diminish before our very eyes. While buying from stores such as Walmart,
Target, and Home Depot, you are stripping away business production that can be done here on
American soil. As our economy is depleting itself and we extend ourselves higher into debt, the only
people we have to blame are the consumers. By buying from local produce stands and farmers
markets, we cut the cost of travel time and the resources needed to get to the store. Buying local can
also bring money into the community while the food is healthier and fresher for the family to enjoy.
As times grow tough for American families, we are constantly in search for products to fit our needs,
while also fitting the bill. What numerous consumers don t realize is that by spending a few extra
cents on vegetables or clothing made in the community, we are not only providing an income for our
people but we can become sustainable as well. Sustainability is key to becoming a prosperous nation.
By cutting our dependence off of major countries like China, this will not only bring back jobs but
also decrease the vast trade deficit we have with these global competitors. As most people are often

Shrek The GRRR eatest Farytale Never told!!!
Finally, a family film you can sink your teeth into. Based on a William Steig s book about a green
ogre. This computer animated film is aimed at children as well as adults. And what a excellent story
line.
The theme of the film is comedy. The general message was that it does not matter if your pretty or
ugly looking. It matters what s in the inside not the outside.
When it comes to computer generated motion pictures, Shrek has once more raised the bar and this
one was already at an excitingly high level in the wake of Toy Story 2 and Dinosaur. Yet Shrek
outshines them both, boasting the most impressive detail and most amazingly rendered creatures of
any motion picture in its ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Shrek is a kind person in this film. His kind as well as sweet and has a secret crush on Princess Fiona.
In Shrek, he is ugly and no one likes him. That s a variation from Austin Powers. In addition, I think
that Princesses Fiona was a good part for Cameron Diaz because it reflects her personality and is
similar to Cameron Diaz. Also, Donkey was a good part for Eddie Murphy. He is a loveable donkey
with a big heart. He just doesn t stop telling jokes. I personally think the main reason why the film was
funny was because of Eddie Murphy. I think that Donkey was a good part for Eddie Murphy because I
think Eddie Murphy is a really funny man and made the film funny. Lord Farquaad (Played by John
Lithgow) is a mean and cruel king. But his not king yet. He has to marry a princess before he can be
crowned a king.
I believe that the director did a good job in this film. In addition showed his true ability as a director.
The film showed attractive techniques such as Bullet Time this was also used in The Matrix (1999)
The soundtrack was excellent because it helped to create atmospheric feelings to the film.
Personally, I enjoyed the film very much. It was predictable but I still enjoyed it. Also, I enjoyed the
storyline. There are not many bad points to say about this film apart from when Donkey Sang an out
of tune song at the end, its was like the song had been thrown into the film and makes no sense what

Personal Narrative-Changing Experience Of The Maze
As we arrived at the entrance of the maze, I could see a giant forcefield crackling in front of us. A
forcefield keeps everyone in. We either go in and solve the maze or die here of starvation. Do you
have any suggestions? muttered Future Hayden
We walked through the sizzling forcefield. At the same though, UDVAC was planning its grand plan,
to enslave us all. As we began to navigate through the maze, the big computer started setting off traps.
As it skillfully and strategically deployed tricks and traps, we clumsily avoided them. Now, we were
stuck in the middle of this maze. We had wandered into one of its traps.

Once upon a time, The Voids were a numerous species across the galaxy. But as time went on, The

As we walked through the shimmering hole in the maze, I could hear singing in the background. I
didn t know if it was The Void or something else, I ignored it.
Finally, we reached the end. As we stepped through the exit forcefield, the same voice on the intercom
said Congratulations for making a spectacle of me and cheating your way through the maze. I
promised you freedom, but you threw your chance away. You must now face me, lord UDVAC! No
one has made it our alive, so have fun! Aren t I funny?
I nervously nudged Future Hayden to walk up the stairs. When we got to the top, there was another
door. This one looked like my bedroom door at home. It even had the same stickers. There was
another door at the other end of the hallway.
As we opened it, I said Anyone want death with a side of sadness? As we peered inside, we saw
another door. As I opened it, we could see another door.
Does this have to be another maze? said future Hayden.
I walked up to that door. Sure enough, there was yet another door.

It s Obvious, You Know
Published in 2006, Fun Home: A Family Tragicomic is a graphic memoir that brought great success to
Alison Bechdel and her work. Fun Home explores the relationship between Alison and her father,
Bruce Bechdel, to shed light on ideas such as gender, coming out with your sexuality, and the complex
dynamics within their family. With further analysis we can see that these key ideas are facilitated
through discussions of death, life, and literature provoked by Alison s efforts to illustrate a truthful
portrait of her complicated connection with her father. Alison Bechdel is not only the main author and
narrator but also the main protagonist through out the graphic memoir. ... Show more content on

Alison sees her father s efforts to feminize her as an pitiful effort to embody femininity through his
daughter, which leads to what Alison calls a war of cross purposes that is doomed to perpetual
escalation (98). Thus, differences of gender are invoked to illustrate the differences and tensions that
exist between Alison and her father. Putting their differences aside, Alison and her father share many
similarities: they are both gay, despite her dads denial, they both have a love for reading and for art,
and they both wish that they were born the opposite sex. Despite these similarities, they never seem to
form a strong and intense bond due to their reserved personalities and their difference in terms of
gendered affiliations. Whereas Bruce tends to express traits that can typically be approached as
feminine, Alison admits that she has been a connoisseur of masculinity (95) ever since she was young.
Her mom would even attempt to persuade Alison into growing her hair out long by pulling it back to
show her how pretty it would look but Alison could care less, she replies with an impatient, Mommm!

Ford Pinto Ethics Essay
Ford Pinto Case: The Invisible Corporate Human Pricetag
In this essay, I will argue that Ford Motor Company s business behavior was unethical as
demonstrated in the Ford Pinto Case. Ford did not reveal all the facts to consumers about a harmful
gas tank design in the Ford Pinto. They tried to justify their decision to sell an unsafe car by using a
Cost Benefit Analysis which determined it was cheaper to sell the cars without changing to a safer gas
tank. The price of not fixing the gas tanks is human injuries and fatalities. By choosing not to make
the Pinto a safer vehicle Ford placed a price on the head of every consumer. Ford s primary concern
was to maximize profits. Ford had a duty and ethical responsibility to customers to ... Show more

The Pinto was not to weigh an ounce over 2,000 pounds and not to cost a cent over 2,000. Iacocca
enforced these limits with an iron hand, Lee Iacocca was known for saying Safety doesn t sell . The
Pinto was released for sale with the flawed design. There are a few concerns about harmful behavior
of the FMC that should be discussed. A behavior is harmful when it wrongfully sets back the interest
of others and has a high risk of harm. Obviously, the gravity of harm in this case is very high being
that it is life threatening. Once a consumer has purchased the Pinto and drives it off the lot he is at risk
to getting rear ended, and burned to death by a car fire or explosion. Since the weight of this harm is
very severe, the low probability of the consumer having an accident doesn t discount Ford s unethical
behavior. Indeed, driving a Ford Pinto would place a consumer s life at risk. Also at stake are the
interests of Pinto passengers and drivers of other vehicles who certainly are not willing to risk their
lives so Ford can make an extra buck. Everyone has an interest in not getting injured or killed. Setting
back the interest of consumers isn t the only thing Ford Motor Company was responsible for.
Indubitably, the company wronged the consumers and passengers by violating their rights to not be
killed in a car fire and their right to minimal health

Participating in international business can be very risky and lucrative all at the same time. It is
important to know the key factors and controllers when doing business on foreign territory. There are
many things to consider when you look at day to day operations and cultural differences, but more so
what you do in the event of a national state of emergency. There are always political issues, and
individual problems that each country deals with within their own country. What do you do when you

There is however some things that out of courtesy and respect most countries try to adhere to within
reason. The principle of Comity states that a nation will defer and give effect to the laws and judicial
decrees of another nation as long as those laws and decrees are consistent with the law and public
policies of the accommodating nation. Then you have The Act of State Doctrine and The Doctrine of
Sovereign Immunity, which simply says, that they tend to immunize foreign nations from the
jurisdiction of U.S. courts so that in general, U.S. firms or individuals who own property overseas
have little U.S. legal protection against government actions in the countries in which they operate. The
Act of state of Doctrine doesn t examine the validity of public acts committed by foreign government
within its own territory. The Doctrine of Sovereign Immunity makes states waive their immunity. So
as you see there is no real guarantee or protection that is guaranteed, it is all on the word of their
government. (USLegal, 2010)

No one likes being blamed, so why would Jamaica Kincaid s A Small Place blame the white race for

Professors Hirsh and Schweitzer explain When Kincaid was about nine, her mother had three sons in
succession, pushing the family over the edge. The beautiful intelligent woman she had adored as an
only child became overwhelmed and withdrew from her. It was also at this time that the contradictions
of the British Colonial rule in Antigua became apparent to Kincaid (475). The adolescent years are
notorious for losing innocence and Kincaid admits in an interview for New York Times Magazine that
she has never forgotten the betrayal she felt from her mother s emotional remoteness in her childhood
(Garis 70). One might say the misdirected anger towards the tourists is in fact directed at her mother.
She s like a little girl complaining about an issue in her diary but it s just a cover up of why she truly
feels angry. An example from Kincaid s essay is: It so happens that in Antigua my mother is fairly
notorious for her political opinions. She is almost painfully frank, quite unable to keep any thoughts
she has about anything and she has many thoughts on almost everything to herself (50). Kincaid still
respects her mother but her use of negative words exhibits her lingering bitterness. She says that her
mother is painfully frank and growing up with a mother who voiced her strong opinions can influence
the child to do just the same. Kincaid s emotionally difficult upbringing in Antigua reveals another
way to perceive the depth of her anger and adds dimension to what may only seem like a racial

Literary Analysis Huckleberry Finn
Since the commencement of time, people have been telling stories and sharing responses. So it comes
naturally that we would evolve and develop the ability to analyze what we are reading. Literary
analysis as a whole refers to the reader s ability to focus on all parts of the writing; plot, character,
setting, etc. By reading and discussing literature, we are able to magnify our imagination, our sense of
what is possible, and our ability to commiserate with others. Literally analyzing improves a reader s
ability to read critically and interpret texts. It proves to be extremely helpful that the reader is able to

Throughout the story, the term nigger is used frequently. Nigger semantically connects the story to
black people and the time of slavery. In chapter six, Pap goes off about, ...a free nigger there, from
Ohio; a mulatter, most as white as a white man (Twain 28). As the reader can tell, Pap was not fond of
black people. He was a white man, whom common to the time period of, perceived colored people as
beneath whites. However, Pap is not the only person who believed whites and blacks were unequal.
Through the general framework of the story, slavery and racism are immense parts of the culture. A
major conflict throughout Huck and Jim s escape was that people could not find out that he was a
runaway slave. Had they realized Jim was a runaway slave, he would have been captured and taken
back to Miss Watson and the book would have gone a lot differently. In order to avoid this scenario,
Huck was constantly finding ways to disguise Jim, so people would either think that he was Huck s
slave or that Huck was going to turn him in. Huckleberry Finn s interworking of slavery links it to a
culture in which slavery and racism are abundantly

Jean-Jacques Rousseau s Influences on the Honors...
As with any modern community, there are certain freedoms that need be alienated in order to live in
peace with fellow neighbors. It is the HRC covenant, the Guide to Community Living, and the prayers
of Taizé give meaning to the community known as the Honors Residential College (HRC). The texts
each serve as evidence of Jean Jacques Rousseau s Social Contract Theory in work, each including a
type of self sacrifice for the greater good and solidification of the community.
This analysis will begin by reviewing the obligations stated in the HRC covenant. The HRC covenant
mentions that as a community the people must commit [themselves] to being a community of faith
seeking understanding (Covenant Expectations). In committing to this statement, the people are asked
to open their minds to new ideas and to put aside old prejudice. In saying that the residents of the
community must commit to seeking understanding, sharing, and loving one another, they are in effect
giving up their freedoms to not do these things. Additionally, HRC residents are expected to
participate in discussions, prayer, service, and live in good will continuously while living as a member
of that community. Indeed, they must devote [themselves] actively to providing a friendly, warm
atmosphere (C E).
Rousseau s Social Contact Theory explains the covenant in that it demonstrates an undertaking of
responsibilities for being a part of the HRC community. Rousseau contends that Some form of

Analysis Of The Boat By Alistair Macleod
The setting of Alistair Macleod s short story, The Boat, complements the setting of Alden Nowlan s
poem, Warren Pryor. Each of these writing pieces contain the element of a smaller town with a tight
knit community. In the short story The Boat, our community is a Nova Scotian community whose
primary industry is fishing. This results in most of the members of the community partaking in the
fishing lifestyle. Another influential location this writing piece takes place in is inside of the house,
which was one of about fifty that marched around the horseshoe of [his] harbour, (Macleod 263). Most
of the homes in this town are situated close to the water as it is there where most of the men work as
fishermen. Inside the house was his father s room where magazines and books covered the bureau,
(Macleod 265). It was in their father s room where the children discover their love of reading and
become more dedicated to their schooling. Both the short story and the poem contain the setting of a
school, which is symbolic as it is their education that allows the characters to be free of their
obligations and the way of their town. Finally, the setting takes place on the Jenny Lynn, she was what
Nova Scotians called a Cape Island boat and was designed for the small inshore fishermen, (Macleod
262) and it is on this boat where the father and son make their final journey out to sea. Likewise, the
poem Warren Pryor takes place in another resource based community, however, this

Essay on Zero Tolerance Policy of Education in America
Zero Tolerance Policy of Education in America In Bedford, Texas, a 16 year old honor student was

If a student was a relatively good kid with no past disciplinary actions taken against him or her, they
were much more likely to have a punishment that actually taught them something, rather than creating
a sense of resentment towards the school authorities, and the system in general. Before the era of zero
tolerance, a kid with a great future ahead could not screw it all up by making one simple mistake.
The line that zero tolerance crosses is one of intent. Zero tolerance looks only at the offense that has
been made, not at the circumstances that brought it about. If someone with no intent of doing
something unlawful accidentally commits a crime, they are punished equally with one who
deliberately inflicts harm.
So how did zero tolerance laws come about? When major incidences of school disruption, like the
Columbine shooting, started occurring, school officials decided they needed to start cracking down on
discipline. After realizing certain things were starting to get out of hand, the federal government made
it mandatory for, [...] a zero tolerance policy toward the possession of illegal drugs and weapons on
school grounds, (Copenhaver 1).
In the beginning days of zero tolerance, the laws truly did focus on behavior that could be deemed
dangerous and criminal, and required a mandatory expulsion for

culture really is. United States is one of the largest countries in the world whom can be defined as a
melting pot in which a variety of different people come together as one. However, even though the
people whom live in United States try to adjust to the American lifestyle many still don t leave their

I wanted to come to the temple to find out about what each thing meant in the temple. So, I decided to
talk to Gurmeet Singh the Employee of the Sikh temple dressed in all white from his shirt to his pants
and even turban. He looks like a man in his 50 s and seems happy to see the people in the temple as he
smiles at me. As I asked him if I could ask him something he smiles and pauses for about 20 seconds
thinking for an answer. I waited for his answer and wanting it to be yes. He answered yes, and told me
that I can have a seat. As I sat down on the red carpet I jumped up with a list of questions that he was
surprised to see. As a result of the questions being asked Gurmeet revealed, I love working here
because all I have to do is cook. Gurmeet is the only employee in the temple where others are
volunteers whom help out serving the Sikh Community. Gurmeet has been working in the Sikh temple
for about 6 7 years cooking two times a day, which is during the morning and in the evening cooking
with ingredients like ginger, peppers, lentils, garam masala, cumin, coriander, and even turmeric
which is used in almost every Indian dish. For me the job is very easy all I have to do is cook and then
I am free and I can rest, Gurmeet added. Gurmeet also revealed with a bug smirk on his face that he

Comparison Of Misogyny In The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow By...
In three stories written by, Washington Irving, they all portray him into a man of misogyny. In the
story, The Devil and Tom Walker , disappearing never to return a man s wife takes all their belonging
of worthiness. In the story, Rip Van Winkle , a man tired of his wife is nagging, wanders off into the
woods, vanishing for twenty years. In the story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow , a man that goes by the
name Broom Bones, brainwashed by womanly charm receives a rude awakening when the woman s
he cherishes picks a different man. Repeatedly, Washington Irving conceived as a woman hater; this
may or may not be true. In the story, The Devil and Tom Walker , a man s wife takes all their
belongings of worthiness, disappearing never to return. More into the story, the man, Tom Walker,
meet the devil, and the evil spirit wanted him to sell his soul. Without a doubt, Tom would have made
lots of money. Consequently, this offer went through his head as he went back to his house. Once
home, he told his wife about the encounter, she wanted him to take the proposal. Once he heard this,
all the thoughts running through his head jumped out. Fortunately, Tom disliked this woman so much
he now would not sell his soul to the evil, because she wanted him to. Therefore, with this the woman
took it into her own hands to get rich off selling her soul. Unfortunately, she took all their most
valuable possession to the black evil man in the woods. No doubt, the way Irving portrays the

Managing and Living with Lupus, each day is a challenge 2
Each day I face a challenge to manage and live with Lupus. I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus in
May 2002. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is the form of the disease that most people refer to
when they say lupus. The word systemic means the disease can affect many parts of the body

Managing Lupus and Family
The management of patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus consists of three components:
Educating the patient and their family, keeping medical treatment follow ups are very important and
managing the disease. At this time, I go every six months to see my Rheumatologist now. I previously
went every three months when I was diagnosed in 2002. Educating the patient and family is very
important in managing Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Some patients and family member are often
misinformed about the disease, it can be overwhelming for them. It can be hard to know how to deal
with an illness like lupus. In many cases, you may not understand your symptoms. Your relative may
seem fine one day and then the next day not be able to get out of bed. In some cases, lupus can force
changes in your daily routine. This may cause somewhat of a strain within the family and in other
personal relationships. I have not experienced this within my family.

King Charles V Research Paper
Let s start with Protestants. The time period I m going to be talking about was when King Charles V
was in charge. King Charles V was the Holy Roman Emperor of Spain and many low countries. While
he was ruling, in 1530, many German Princes joined Lutheranism and opposed him. Due to that he
became controlling and many others join Lutheranism as well. Charles V waged war on Protestant
Germany to try and get control back to the catholic church he did not do so great. But there are some
other people who came up with new religions as well, like John Calvin who started Calvinism. Calvin
also published a book in 1536 called Institutes of the Christian Religion . King Henry VIII came up
with Englanism because he wanted to divorce his wife. Now to

Gould And Lewontin Point Of View
Contemporary science has assimilated the bigotry views that it hoped to fend off. The scientific
community, their ideas and perceptions, account for the accepted scientific beliefs rather than the
perpetual, and actual scientific theories. Gould and Lewontin s essay The Spandrels of San Marco is
about an adaptationist programme and how it has taken over evolutionary belief in England and the
United States during the past forty years. The people believe in the power of natural selection as a key
mechanism of evolution. The writers don t see eye to eye with this thought and are trying to reassert a
competing theory that organisms must be seen as integrated wholes. Gould and Lewontin show their
explanations for a pluralistic perspective of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Throughout the rest of Spandrels there is repetitive usage of the this connotation, that adaptation is the
only paradigm for science. Adaptation is elevated in status when the authors refer to the works done
by naturalists; the word choices of these experimenters place natural selection as the perfect
culmination of traits. Whereas as Gould and Lewontin s beliefs do not strictly follow one model for
nature; rather it incorporates all possibilities.
Gould and Lewontin also use quotations to further explain the pluralistic perspective of the
evolutionary theory. They refer to the paleontology article[, which] ends with a long quotation from
Count (1947) (Myers, 269). The goal that Gould and Lewontin go for referring to this event is having
a reader decide whether to take it as a prescient forerunner of Gould s opinion or as a dated belief now
superseded (Myers, 269). That is to say whether following pluralism is the opinion of Gould or
something necessary for science to advance and move forward. Gould and Lewontin use the example
of fingerprints at the end of their essay to get the readers to really consider the impacts that adaptation
has had;
Then I spoke of the failure to discover the origin of these patterns, and how the fingers of unborn
children had been dissected to ascertain their earliest stages, and so forth.

The Black Of Black And 70s
Movies are more than a form of entrainment. They are pieces of art that express social and political
problems within the culture. The Black male character and culture has not always been a predominant
figure in films like they are today. The display of the African American culture in film has progressed
through the years. It has progressed by the change of racism displayed on screen, the character roles,
and the emergence black figures and society in motion pictures. (How racism is depicted in the films
Black face we would see it again) With movies such as Guess Who s Coming to Dinner, Shaft, Do The
Right Thing, and Madea s Family Reunion. People see the transformation of black cinema throughout
the years. Films of the 60s, 70s, and 80s have significant differences from contemporary productions
as the standards of culture shift in the decades. Before the audience can note the rise of black figures
and standards in film. They must have recognition of the history of black cinema before its transition
into the mainstream. Displays of black character roles and black culture from earlier films like Birth of
a Nation (1915) and Gone with the Wild (1939) have a different representation on the view of black
society and how racism was addressed in those times. In these earlier films blacks were not given
main roles in cinema. Blacks Americans were typically given minimal roles and true to race roles such
as servants, slaves, butlers and etc. African Americans did not have a

terms of a mal adaptive pattern of behaviors that are related to the continued use of drugs, in spite of
the fact that their use creates a set of significant problems for the person (Oltmanns Emery, 2015,
p263).
Background Information
In this case study our subject Mark, was born in a small town where the main source of income was
the local power plant. His mother worked at a department store in a nearby town and his father
performed night shifts at the plant. There is a history of alcohol abuse from Mark`s father although he
regularly attended AA meetings. There is no recollection of Mark ever tried illicit drugs as a teenager.

among adolescents, initial experimentation with drugs is most likely to occur among those individuals
who are rebellious and extroverted and whose parents and peers model or encourage use (Oltmanns
Emery, 2015, p303). This information might be confirmed by the fact that on his teenager years Mark
used one week s worth of pain medication in 3 days when he had extensive dental work.
The hardship of Mark with strong complications of dealing with classes in the local community
college, and the always demanding job adding to the everyday parental activities will increase the
already preexisting stress in Mark.
Description of the presenting problem
Mark has been taking classes in the EMT Program at his local community college. Although it has
been challenging to juggle school, a demanding job, and parental responsibilities, he is close to
finishing his degree, and at this time he starts to panic as he realizes he only has a day before his final
exams.

Reconstruction and Industrialization
Assignment 1: America s Post Civil War Growing Pains Reconstruction and Industrialization 1865
1900 Four years after the first shots were fired at Fort Sumter the Civil War ended with the Union s
Victory over the Confederacy. Though the war was over, there were still many problems that needed to
be resolved in order to reunite the states as a nation. The time period in which steps were taken to
rebuild the nation is known as reconstruction. Reconstruction lasted from 1865 until 1877. The
influence of reconstruction can be seen in the society and also in politics during that time period.

Railroads were built throughout the country and allowed for good to be transported more easily,
cheaper, and more reliable (Schultz 2012, p. 293). With industrialization came more jobs, and because
majority of industrialization occurred in big cities this encouraged farmers to leave the fields and
moved to cities to work in factories (Schultz 2012, p. 293). With the constant growth of businesses
and manufacturers in the north, the population of northern cities grew. In a forty year time span the
population on New York City grew by 1.2 million people (Schultz 2012, p. 302). This growth was
called urbanization. Since the cities were growing at such a rapid pace building developers cut codes
and built make shift buildings called tenements for people to reside (Schultz 2012, p.302). Tenements
were low income apartment buildings. These apartments were small and cramped and sometimes
referred to as railroad flats because their layout was similar to that of the box railroad cars (Apartment
House, Encyclopedia Britannica). With the high demand of materials and jobs factories were being
built in the same manner as the tenements. These buildings did not follow building codes and resulted
in many fires (Schultz 2012, p. 303). Perhaps one of the most devastating fires was that of the Triangle

A Seminar On Education And Poverty
In September of 2013, my sister passed away, leaving our family with more questions than answers
and challenges that parallel with heartbreak. As a freshman trying to find my way at the University of
Georgia, it seemed that I was going backwards compared to my peers and my grieving put more of a
strain on my will to continue my studies. Pursuing any actions for bettering myself or my counterparts
tended to feel overwhelming. Feelings of loneliness engulfed my state of mind, but what was most
unbearable was my realization that I had no idea of how I was going to overcome this. I usually have a
plan of what I would like to accomplish and who I strive to become, but at this stage of life, I felt as
lost as ever. As months passed, I had the opportunity to attend a seminar on education and poverty.
Although I was not interested in education, I attended to gain information for a class project. Through
this seminar, I found the beginning of passion that I did not know I possessed. The presenters exposed
the significant fact that students often times do not finish school due to their lacking in resources to
finish. These self and material doubts affect students at every level of education. While focusing on
my own challenges, I lost sight of the present, daunting challenges that others, whether they be my
peers or younger students, face on a daily basis. Pity for these other students had not crossed my mind,
but rather, an urgency to take action. Students must work so relentlessly

The Lifetime Of A Nuclear Power Plant Essay
The lifetime of a nuclear power plant is planned to be 40 years. Recently there are trails to raise this
life in new constructions as well as the old ones to 60 years (1 4). During this prolonged lifetime
components are exposed to degradation that may affect safe operation of the plant. Such influences
affect pressure retaining items of the plant including reactor pressure vessel, reactor piping, bolting
and threaded fasteners, steam generator materials and several other items (5). The Reactor Pressure
Vessel (RPV) is the most critical component in the LWR pressure boundary. It is the only component
in this boundary whose failure is considered to be of such low probability that it is considered
essentially incredible. NRC regulations require that RPV steels maintain conservative margin for
fracture toughness so that flaws do not threaten the integrity of a RPV during either normal operation
and maintenance cycles or under accident transients such as Pressurized Thermal Shock (PTS) (6).
The major technical issues regarding aging of RPV include: high fluences, for long times that may
lead to high emrittlement creating large uncertainties for emrittlement predictions (7). Increasing
nickel content in the RPV steel, all other factors being equal, causes increasing emrittlement (7). The
degradation mechanisms that may affect RPV include Irradiation embrittlement, Thermal ageing,
Temper embrittlement, Fatigue and Corrosion (8). Concerning nuclear piping the main degradation

Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is the collection of physical measurements in a
geographical area. It tracks the spatial average of the sensor measurements in a region. Since it is
highly vulnerable to sensor faults and measurement noise the average operation is not robust. In this
paper the proposed computational efficient method is used to compute a weight average of sensor
measurement. It takes consideration of sensor faults and sensor noise. WSN uses random projections
of sensor to compress data and send the compressed data to the data fusion center. The computation
efficient method uses the data fusion center for direct work with the compressed data stream. The
fusion center performed decompression at the time of computed weighted average. Thus, it reduces
the computational requirements. Hence the proposed method gives better accuracy and more efficient
for the WSN.
Keywords Wireless sensor network, compressive sensing, distributed compressive sensing, fault
tolerance, data fusion, robust averaging.

The United States Housing Bubble
On September 15th 2008, Lehman Brothers, one of the United States largest investment banks,
declared bankruptcy. This event occurred during the Great Recession, a time period where economic
activities in the United States had significantly declined in the early 21st century. The Great Recession
occurred for numerous reasons; however the primary reasons are due to the housing bubble as well as
the subprime mortgage backed securities. What made matters worse during the recession was the day
September 29, 2008 when congress could not come in agreement to pass a bailout plan that would
have otherwise saved Lehman Brothers. The period of its collapse is an interesting part of United
States finance industry s history; this is primarily due to the frequency that which this sort of event can
occur actually occur in real world economics. The United States housing bubble is an example that is
applicable to the black swan theory. This theory is summarized as, An event or occurrence that
deviates beyond what is normally expected of a situation and that would be extremely difficult to
predict. ( Black Swan Theory ). The severity of the housing bubble effect had rendered the Fed s
primary tool of open market operations to be ineffective. The Fed had to rely on other measures that
are infrequently used; in this case was quantitative easing. Quantitative easing is the injection of
reserves into circulation to promote economic activity as well as decrease the unemployment rate.

Example Of Fascism
What is Fascism? By definition fascism is a form of government that is ruled by one person as a
dictator often times a violent and aggressive one. Fascists dictators are against democratic
governments, where the people are free and rule. Examples of a famous fascist leaders are Benito
Mussolini, ruler of Italy from nineteen twenty two to nineteen forty three and Adolf Hitler, possibly
one of if not the most infamous dictators in all of history. Hitler was a violent dictator of Nazi
Germany from nineteen thirty four to nineteen thirty five. These two men exemplify everything that
fascism stands for, ruling with fear, aggression, and zero freedom for the people. I would argue that
fascism is both an ideology and a method, but at different times in the rise to power. In the climb and
rise to power fascism is a method used to gain people s attention, gain their trust and ultimately their
vote. While in power fascism becomes an ideology in the way that policies and ideas are used to keep
people in line, making sure the people know who s in charge. Exhibiting the power to gain the peoples
trust, therefore, keep their trust as strong as ever. An example of a dictator using fascism as a method
to gain support and votes of the people is to simply tell them what they want to hear. If the country s
economy is bad at the time a fascist politician is running for power, they may say how they are going
to fix and revamp the economy, so that it never happens again. Often times they just say things for the
attention and votes, fully knowing that they are not going to put any effort into solving the problem. If
they do try, it is not full hearted. They know that as soon as the current problem is fixed they will have
to find a new issue to take on. A dictator needs a cause to ride on the back of in order to gain the
peoples trust.. A quote by Adolf Hitler proves this best, If you tell a big enough lie and tell it
frequently enough, it will be believed . Once in power I believe that fascism becomes an ideology to
keep the people in check. Through the use of fascist ideas and policies fascist dictators are able to
keep people under their control and keep their trust. Hitler used aggression and intimidation to

Essay about Racist Positivism in Latin America
The mutability of the postcolonial relationship between Indians and the republics becomes most
apparent after 1850. The ideals of liberty and equality went astray in the late nineteenth century being
destabilized by an upswing of another form political policy, liberalism. This liberalism was
interwoven with racism and sexism, and colored by positivist interpretations of science, society and
knowledge that were becoming common currency in Western Europe.
In order to understand the reaction to liberal policies of native populations in the late nineteenth and
early twentieth century, it is important to focus on the scientific method that was applied to social
phenomenon at the time. These new urban elites embraced the scientific ... Show more content on

The elites believed themselves to be closer to the progressive goal of European whiteness and that the
lower classes did not have the racial purity necessary to participate in national progress. The theory of
scientific racism was also used to justify the heavy handed, often violent treatment of the peasant
population. After all, the theory of positivism contended that the peasants were a lower race, and
justified exploitation under the guise of supervision and regulation. Positivism was especially suited to
reform because of its practical, disciplinary, and authoritarian inclinations (Larson p.64). The elites
plan to transform the republic into a better nation was part of a larger plan to put themselves on the
same progressive track as other European nations.
The Creole elite of Colombia were the first among the Andean republics to associate economic
retardation with the concept of racial weakness (Larson p.75). The convergence of postcolonial
concepts of class and race were used to blame poverty and misery on the victim, through fault of their
inferior race (Larson p.81). In Colombia, the liberal elite s plan to transform society into a more
progressive state was to gradually blend any kind of indigenous or African race with white European
immigrants, therefore whitening the population as a whole. The main source of the whitening
population was to come from European immigrants brought in to fill the gap left by the

A Data Driven Decision Making Platform Essay
In this dissertation, a data driven decision making platform is developed focusing on individuals at
high risk of getting breast and ovarian cancers due to their BRCA gene mutations. First a likelihood
estimation model is built based on a gradient boosting model. This model is capable of identifying
individuals at high risk of having BRCA mutations based on their family and personal history of
cancers. Then, a Markov decision process (MDP) model is formulated to help BRCA mutation carriers
and their health providers to find effective intervention actions (based on cost or quality adjusted life
years) to prevent breast and ovarian cancers. Finally, a robust MDP (RMDP) model is presented to
study the sensitivity of MDP optimal strategies under uncertainty. In what follows, I present a
summary of findings in Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of this dissertation.
In Chapter 2, four machine learning classifiers are used to find the likelihood of having BRCA
mutation based on detailed personal and family history of cancer information. The data used for
validation of the models emerges from a recent nation wide survey study (ABOUT) of those who
requested BRCA genetic testing through one of the commercial health insurance companies in the
United States. This is the first study evaluating existing well known BRCA risk estimation models
using data on general population in the United States. The models considered were gradient boosting

But I bring up the question, is this really helping you and your family in the end, or the billionaires living at the top? Large corporations allow for small businesses to essentially diminish before our very eyes. While buying from stores such as Walmart, Target, and Home Depot, you are stripping away business production that can be done here on American soil. As our economy is depleting itself and we extend ourselves higher into debt, the only people we have to blame are the consumers. By buying from local produce stands and farmers markets, we cut the cost of travel time and the resources needed to get to the store. Buying local can also bring money into the community while the food is healthier and fresher for the family to enjoy. As times grow tough for American families, we are constantly in search for products to fit our needs, while also fitting the bill. What numerous consumers don t realize is that by spending a few extra cents on vegetables or clothing made in the community, we are not only providing an income for our people but we can become sustainable as well. Shrek is a kind person in this film. His kind as well as sweet and has a secret crush on Princess Fiona. In Shrek, he is ugly and no one likes him. That s a variation from Austin Powers. In addition, I think that Princesses Fiona was a good part for Cameron Diaz because it reflects her personality and is similar to Cameron Diaz. Also, Donkey was a good part for Eddie Murphy. He is a loveable donkey with a big heart. He just doesn t stop telling jokes. I personally think the main reason why the film was funny was because of Eddie Murphy. I think that Donkey was a good part for Eddie Murphy because I think Eddie Murphy is a really funny man and made the film funny. Lord Farquaad (Played by John Lithgow) is a mean and cruel king. But his not king yet. He has to marry a princess before he can be crowned a king. I believe that the director did a good job in this film. In addition showed his true ability as a director. The film showed attractive techniques such as Bullet Time this was also used in The Matrix (1999) The soundtrack was excellent because it helped to create atmospheric feelings to the film. Personally, I enjoyed the film very much. It was predictable but I still enjoyed it. Also, I enjoyed the storyline. There are not many bad points to say about this film apart from when Donkey Sang an out of tune song at the end, its was like the song had been thrown into the film and makes no sense what so ever, but apart from ... Fun Home explores the relationship between Alison and her father, Bruce Bechdel, to shed light on ideas such as gender, coming out with your sexuality, and the complex dynamics within their family. With further analysis we can see that these key ideas are facilitated through discussions of death, life, and literature provoked by Alison s efforts to illustrate a truthful portrait of her complicated connection with her father. Putting their differences aside, Alison and her father share many similarities: they are both gay, despite her dads denial, they both have a love for reading and for art, and they both wish that they were born the opposite sex. Despite these similarities, they never seem to form a strong and intense bond due to their reserved personalities and their difference in terms of gendered affiliations. Ford Pinto Ethics Essay Ford Pinto Case: The Invisible Corporate Human Pricetag In this essay, I will argue that Ford Motor Company s business behavior was unethical as demonstrated in the Ford Pinto Case. Ford did not reveal all the facts to consumers about a harmful gas tank design in the Ford Pinto. They tried to justify their decision to sell an unsafe car by using a Cost Benefit Analysis which determined it was cheaper to sell the cars without changing to a safer gas tank. The price of not fixing the gas tanks is human injuries and fatalities. By choosing not to make the Pinto a safer vehicle Ford placed a price on the head of every consumer. The Pinto was released for sale with the flawed design. There are a few concerns about harmful behavior of the FMC that should be discussed. A behavior is harmful when it wrongfully sets back the interest of others and has a high risk of harm. Obviously, the gravity of harm in this case is very high being that it is life threatening. Once a consumer has purchased the Pinto and drives it off the lot he is at risk to getting rear ended, and burned to death by a car fire or explosion. Since the weight of this harm is very severe, the low probability of the consumer having an accident doesn t discount Ford s unethical behavior. Indeed, driving a Ford Pinto would place a consumer s life at risk. Also at stake are the interests of Pinto passengers and drivers of other vehicles who certainly are not willing to risk their lives so Ford can make an extra buck. The adolescent years are notorious for losing innocence and Kincaid admits in an interview for New York Times Magazine that she has never forgotten the betrayal she felt from her mother s emotional remoteness in her childhood (Garis 70). One might say the misdirected anger towards the tourists is in fact directed at her mother. It is the HRC covenant, the Guide to Community Living, and the prayers of Taizé give meaning to the community known as the Honors Residential College (HRC). The texts each serve as evidence of Jean Jacques Rousseau s Social Contract Theory in work, each including a type of self sacrifice for the greater good and solidification of the community. This analysis will begin by reviewing the obligations stated in the HRC covenant. The HRC covenant mentions that as a community the people must commit [themselves] to being a community of faith seeking understanding (Covenant Expectations). In committing to this statement, the people are asked to open their minds to new ideas and to put aside old prejudice. In saying that the residents of the community must commit to seeking understanding, sharing, and loving one another, they are in effect giving up their freedoms to not do these things. Additionally, HRC residents are expected to participate in discussions, prayer, service, and live in good will continuously while living as a member of that community. Indeed, they must devote [themselves] actively to providing a friendly, warm atmosphere (C E). Another influential location this writing piece takes place in is inside of the house, which was one of about fifty that marched around the horseshoe of [his] harbour, (Macleod 263). Most of the homes in this town are situated close to the water as it is there where most of the men work as fishermen. It was in their father s room where the children discover their love of reading and become more dedicated to their schooling. Both the short story and the poem contain the setting of a school, which is symbolic as it is their education that allows the characters to be free of their obligations and the way of their town. Finally, the setting takes place on the Jenny Lynn, she was what Nova Scotians called a Cape Island boat and was designed for the small inshore fishermen, (Macleod 262) and it is on this boat where the father and son make their final journey out to sea. NRC regulations require that RPV steels maintain conservative margin for fracture toughness so that flaws do not threaten the integrity of a RPV during either normal operation and maintenance cycles or under accident transients such as Pressurized Thermal Shock (PTS) (6). The major technical issues regarding aging of RPV include: high fluences, for long times that may lead to high emrittlement creating large uncertainties for emrittlement predictions (7). Increasing nickel content in the RPV steel, all other factors being equal, causes increasing emrittlement (7). The degradation mechanisms that may affect RPV include Irradiation embrittlement, Thermal ageing, Temper embrittlement, Fatigue and Corrosion (8). Concerning nuclear piping the main degradation ... • 32. Estimation Of Robust Standard By Using Compression Sensing... Estimation of Robust Standard by using Compression Sensing Data in Wireless Sensor Network Brindha.M1and Prabaharan.P2 1Department of CSE, Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, brindhadass90@gmailcom 2Department of CSE, Vivekanandha College of Engineering for Women, kpra8897 @gmail.com Abstract Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) is the collection of physical measurements in a geographical area. It tracks the spatial average of the sensor measurements in a region. Since it is highly vulnerable to sensor faults and measurement noise the average operation is not robust. In this paper the proposed computational efficient method is used to compute a weight average of sensor measurement. It takes consideration of sensor faults and sensor noise. WSN uses random projections of sensor to compress data and send the compressed data to the data fusion center. The computation efficient method uses the data fusion center for direct work with the compressed data stream. The fusion center performed decompression at the time of computed weighted average. Thus, it reduces the computational requirements. Hence the proposed method gives better accuracy and more efficient for the WSN. Keywords Wireless sensor network, compressive sensing, distributed compressive sensing, fault tolerance, data fusion, robust averaging. INTRODUCTION The compressive sensing consists of sampling and signal reconstruction method. The compressive sensing uses unknown signal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. The United States Housing Bubble On September 15th 2008, Lehman Brothers, one of the United States largest investment banks, declared bankruptcy. This event occurred during the Great Recession, a time period where economic activities in the United States had significantly declined in the early 21st century. The Great Recession occurred for numerous reasons; however the primary reasons are due to the housing bubble as well as the subprime mortgage backed securities. What made matters worse during the recession was the day September 29, 2008 when congress could not come in agreement to pass a bailout plan that would have otherwise saved Lehman Brothers. The period of its collapse is an interesting part of United States finance industry s history; this is primarily due to the frequency that which this sort of event can occur actually occur in real world economics. The United States housing bubble is an example that is applicable to the black swan theory. This theory is summarized as, An event or occurrence that deviates beyond what is normally expected of a situation and that would be extremely difficult to predict. ( Black Swan Theory ). The severity of the housing bubble effect had rendered the Fed s primary tool of open market operations to be ineffective. The Fed had to rely on other measures that are infrequently used; in this case was quantitative easing. Quantitative easing is the injection of reserves into circulation to promote economic activity as well as decrease the unemployment rate. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 34. Sportsmanship Project We picked this project because we thought it would be fun and the kids would love it. The kids are seventh and eighth graders. it will teach the seventh and eighth graders respect and sportsmanship. This project is important to me because respect is a big part of life along with sportsmanship. If you are mean and a sore loser no one s gonna want to be one your team and might not want to be friends with you either. What we are doing for this project is we re going over to woodside middle school to play games with the seventh and eighth graders like kickball and bonkerball. We think the kids will have a great time while they are learning and practicing sportsmanship and respect for theres. I have been helping with commuting with the principle ... • 35. Example Of Fascism What is Fascism? By definition fascism is a form of government that is ruled by one person as a dictator often times a violent and aggressive one. Fascists dictators are against democratic governments, where the people are free and rule. Examples of a famous fascist leaders are Benito Mussolini, ruler of Italy from nineteen twenty two to nineteen forty three and Adolf Hitler, possibly one of if not the most infamous dictators in all of history. Hitler was a violent dictator of Nazi Germany from nineteen thirty four to nineteen thirty five. These two men exemplify everything that fascism stands for, ruling with fear, aggression, and zero freedom for the people. I would argue that fascism is both an ideology and a method, but at different times in the rise to power. In the climb and rise to power fascism is a method used to gain people s attention, gain their trust and ultimately their vote. While in power fascism becomes an ideology in the way that policies and ideas are used to keep people in line, making sure the people know who s in charge. Exhibiting the power to gain the peoples trust, therefore, keep their trust as strong as ever. An example of a dictator using fascism as a method to gain support and votes of the people is to simply tell them what they want to hear. If the country s economy is bad at the time a fascist politician is running for power, they may say how they are going to fix and revamp the economy, so that it never happens again. Often times they just say things for the attention and votes, fully knowing that they are not going to put any effort into solving the problem. If they do try, it is not full hearted. They know that as soon as the current problem is fixed they will have to find a new issue to take on. A dictator needs a cause to ride on the back of in order to gain the peoples trust.. A quote by Adolf Hitler proves this best, If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed . Once in power I believe that fascism becomes an ideology to keep the people in check. Through the use of fascist ideas and policies fascist dictators are able to keep people under their control and keep their trust. Hitler used aggression and intimidation to ... • 36. Essay about Racist Positivism in Latin America The mutability of the postcolonial relationship between Indians and the republics becomes most apparent after 1850. The ideals of liberty and equality went astray in the late nineteenth century being destabilized by an upswing of another form political policy, liberalism. This liberalism was interwoven with racism and sexism, and colored by positivist interpretations of science, society and knowledge that were becoming common currency in Western Europe. In order to understand the reaction to liberal policies of native populations in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, it is important to focus on the scientific method that was applied to social phenomenon at the time. These new urban elites embraced the scientific ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The elites believed themselves to be closer to the progressive goal of European whiteness and that the lower classes did not have the racial purity necessary to participate in national progress. The theory of scientific racism was also used to justify the heavy handed, often violent treatment of the peasant population. After all, the theory of positivism contended that the peasants were a lower race, and justified exploitation under the guise of supervision and regulation. Positivism was especially suited to reform because of its practical, disciplinary, and authoritarian inclinations (Larson p.64). The elites plan to transform the republic into a better nation was part of a larger plan to put themselves on the same progressive track as other European nations. The Creole elite of Colombia were the first among the Andean republics to associate economic retardation with the concept of racial weakness (Larson p.75). The convergence of postcolonial concepts of class and race were used to blame poverty and misery on the victim, through fault of their inferior race (Larson p.81). In Colombia, the liberal elite s plan to transform society into a more progressive state was to gradually blend any kind of indigenous or African race with white European immigrants, therefore whitening the population as a whole. The main source of the whitening population was to come from European immigrants brought in to fill the gap left by the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. A Data Driven Decision Making Platform Essay In this dissertation, a data driven decision making platform is developed focusing on individuals at high risk of getting breast and ovarian cancers due to their BRCA gene mutations. First a likelihood estimation model is built based on a gradient boosting model. This model is capable of identifying individuals at high risk of having BRCA mutations based on their family and personal history of cancers. Then, a Markov decision process (MDP) model is formulated to help BRCA mutation carriers and their health providers to find effective intervention actions (based on cost or quality adjusted life years) to prevent breast and ovarian cancers. Finally, a robust MDP (RMDP) model is presented to study the sensitivity of MDP optimal strategies under uncertainty. In what follows, I present a summary of findings in Chapters 2, 3, and 4 of this dissertation. In Chapter 2, four machine learning classifiers are used to find the likelihood of having BRCA mutation based on detailed personal and family history of cancer information. The data used for validation of the models emerges from a recent nation wide survey study (ABOUT) of those who requested BRCA genetic testing through one of the commercial health insurance companies in the United States. This is the first study evaluating existing well known BRCA risk estimation models using data on general population in the United States. The models considered were gradient boosting model (GBM), random forest, support vector machines, and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
